"Sweetheart?" Surprised, Ava jolts up at Death's voice as she lies on the sofa, reading her book in Death manor before turning to look up at him.

"Oh hey hon you're back early." Softly, she smiles up at her husband as she removes her legs for him to sit down joining her side as she drapes her legs over his lap.

"I thought I come to check on you." Tenderly, she feels his gloved hands on her cheek as she leans into the plush pillow of his gloves.

"Aw aren't you sweet but I'm fine." Calmly, she promises him knowing well how fretful he can be.

"Hmmm…" Uncertain, Death trials off making her sigh.

"I am. I promise." She leans over, looking him directly in the eye or well his mask.

"Could you promise me something?" Lazily, Death leans back in his seat, his arms draped over her legs.

"What is it?" Curious, she questions leaning back on the armchair.

"Could you take this?" Death asks taking out a small box.

"Wha…Death." Ava furrows her brow at the test.

"I just need to make sure, last night was a clear sign…." Blushing, Death glances to the side as Ava sighs.

"Yes but…" Ava begins furrowing her brow not quite sure how to explain, she understood the assumption but…

"Ava when you were with Kid you vomited blood." Truthfully, Death points out making Ava grimace at the memory.

"That was rare." Meekly, Ava slumps her shoulders nestled into the comforts of the sofa.

"It still happened. This could be…" Death furrows his brow concern laced in his tone.

"Hey my organs regenerate we know this." Ava places her hand sup in the air.

"I'm still concerned." Firmly, Death tells her.

"Sweetheart…" Sighing, Ava shuffles slightly closer to him.

"I nearly lost you last time sweetheart if you are…" Pained, Death bows his head at the memory while Ava winces when memories threaten to resurface.

"If I am then we deal with it besides didn't you tell me you wanted a daughter?" Teasingly, Ava reminds Death who sputters, stammering at the memory.

"When I was younger yes when…" Pained, Death trials off as she places her hand over his.

"Look if it happens it happens. We'll deal with it when the time comes." Ava sighs.

"How can you say that? What if…" Panicked, Death begins.

"Look it's my body." Ava begins.

"And it's my child if it happens, if…I can't lose you." Hurt, Death's grip on her tightens.

"So what? If I were pregnant you'd want to get rid of it?" She scowls at him.

"If it saves you…" Death reveals making Ava furrow her brow conflicted.

"Death…I...look I need, I need some air. I appreciate the concern I do but I just…I need a minute." Honestly, Ava sighs removing herself from him, not wanting to talk about this not…not one bit.

"Alright…just take it for me…please?" Pleadingly, he begs making her groan.

"Fine but if it happens…" Warningly, she scowls her grip tightening on the test.

"We'll talk about it." Death exclaims.

"Agreed." Ava nods her head leaning in as she kisses his mask causing it turn to ruby red as she then leaves.

"Um…am I missing something here?" Lost, Ava quirks her head to the side when she enters the dining room hoping to get some snack only to see Liz in a new costume of sorts looking into a mirror while Kid is…sketching?

"We're studying." Liz answers bored as she notes Patty snoozing on the table.

"Clearly…" Dryly, Ava furrows her brow at the girl looking over the fashion magazines.

"We're taking a break right now." Liz informs her.

"Right and what are you doing?" Curious, Ava arches a brow by her little boy's drawing taking her aback by the strange sight of his art.

"Making a plan for her eyebrows, speaking of which mother would you like me to do yours? I'd be happy to." Kid reveals to her as he offers it her making her eye twitch.

"Kid…are you telling me you would rather do someone's eyebrows than study?" Tiredly, she sighs slumping her shoulders at her child.

"Well I'm familiar with the material so…" Kid begins only to see her mother's furrowed frown.

"That doesn't mean you shouldn't revise some basics. You'd be surprised how one question can tip you off." Tentatively, she tries to warn him.

"I suppose I hadn't considered that an option." Kid bows his head at the thought only then for them to hear a soft purr perplexing them both as a purple cat jumps into Kid's lap, much to her confusion, she didn't remember Kid being fond of animals.

"Hey Kid you're not studying are you!?" Hopeful, the kat with the witch hat asks.

"A cat?" Lost, Ava quirks her head to the side, her yellows narrowing at the eerily familiar cat. Wait…

"Not really know I am well acquainted in the study of souls." Kid informs the cat.

"Then how about you draw me!?" Excitedly, the kid purrs as a smoke of purple spews out of her revealing…

"THE HELL!?" Ava gawks as her son is tossed into the woman's chest before he goes limp where he comes crashing down, landing in a pool of his own ruby red.

"Oh pumpkin I broke him." Pouting, she whines peering over at the sight of the knocked-out kid unaware of the furious fuming mother behind him.

"He is a child! You freak! GET THE HELL OUT OF MY HOUSE AND IF I EVER FIND YOU BACK HERE, I'LL STRIP ALL NINE OF YOUR SOULS!" Seething, Ava angrily roars fury laced in her tone as Blair gasps when the woman grabs her by her face slamming her into the ground below, a crater forming as cracks spewing out. Casually, Liz leans back in her seat used to it while Blair gasps at the sheer power of the woman who drags her over to the mirror ignoring Blair's pleas for her to stop as next thing the cat knew, she saw stars…

"Oh boy…" Liz mutters quickly getting back to studying when seining the sheer rage emitting from Eva as Kid groans, slowly sitting down on his chair, cradling his head when…

"You are going to sit down and read do I make myself clear?" Firmly, Ava slams a textbook down on the table.

"B-But…." Kid begins meekly.

"NO BUTS MISTER OR I SWEAR I'LL MOVE SOMETHING IN YOUR ROOM OFF BY SOME DEGREE AND I WON'T TELL YOU WHAT IT IS!" Snarling, she roars at her son's face who gasps taken aback by the thought.

"You wouldn't!" Horrified, he places his hand over his mouth.

"Wouldn't I?" Strictly, she slams the book open before pushing herself off the table and storming off, going to get herself a treat like she deserved while Kid alongside his weapons attempt to study for the test ahead…

"I'm the exam proctor Sid one thing before we start…" Sternly, Sid begins, furrowing his brow as he gestures towards the blackboard where…

"Blackstar!" Stunned, Soul and the others gape at the sight of the battered, beaten, bloodied Blackstar pinned to the blackboard.

"He went into Dr. Stein's laboratory with the intension of stealing the exam questions that stupid fool! Do don't think about cheating! The exam will last 60 minutes leave the papers down, you can start now!" Strictly, Sid declares as the clock goes off and the exam begins.

Anyone who spends all that time studying to do this honestly is a chump. I prefer to work smart instead of hard that's why I look for shortcuts, the highest test score wins no matter what. so who cares how you get it? Heheh…my entire body is covered in cheat sheets. How is this for a shrot cut Maka? I'm going to ace this thing no problem! Pompously, Soul smirks to himself as he adjusts his headband filled with cheats scribbles on it but…

"Achoo!" Soul sneezes as he sits down on the floor before Sid stripped with nothing but boxers on him.

"Are you sure this is everything you have!?" Warily, Sid's brow furrows at Soul.

"Why you want to take my underwear too!?" Tensely, Soul snaps at him.

"What an idiot…" Maka sweat drops at his partner.

"Go back to your seat but this is the only other chance you're going to get." Sid orders him making Soul grumble but he complies.

"Right a pure soul is shielded by a pure_ and a pure _? A pure soul is shielded by a pure Spirit and body of course!" Smoothly, Maka easily solves the question but…

"A pure soul is shielded by a pure skin and pure hair? That doesn't sound right…" Lost, Liz ponders to herself.

"This isn't good I haven't answered a single question yet, wait…maybe I'm not done for. The brilliant kid is sitting right next to me." Hopeful, Soul turns to the prodigy but…

"Awful…ahh! It's not neat enough." Tearfully, Kid whimpers when he has his face to the desk, trying to fill in his name.

"The freak's still writing his name…he's useless. And here…? She's writing with a crayon!? She's worn down the yellow quite a lot, yellow is her favourite colour after all." Stunned, Soul gapes grumpily recalling said fact looking over at Patty happily humming to herself in her own world.

"Giraffe giraffe!" Perkily, Patty chants as she colours in her test paper.

"Of course…" Soul sweat drops.

"Answer this question true or false uh huh its just like professor stein to throw in a trick question to trip us up." Smugly, Maka catches on.

"Is this a trick? No, it couldn't be professor stein wouldn't do a thing like that." Tsubaki naively dismisses.

"False you can't fool me with that little trick professor." Proudly, Maka smirks smugly as she answers said question.

"Excuse me Sid I'm all finished." Ox raises his hand.

"Just read a book or something." Aloofly, Sid grumbles glaring to the side.

"Hm know it all brat." Bitterly, Liz's baby blues narrow at the bald boy below her seat.

"10 minutes remaining." Sid calls out.

"What but I haven't written anything! And kid is still trying to write his name…" Panicked, Soul gasps, his eyes wide in horror.

"All done! Woohoo so pretty! Better watch out I can break your neck!" Warningly, Patty glares at the 3D made giraffe, swiftly snapping the neck of the giraffe.

"Damn it's awful…just awful. No matter what I do I can't get the K right…I'm useless garbage. I'm a horrible disgusting person who doesn't deserve to live another day eh….AHHHH!" Whimpering, Kid gets out his rubber rubbing his paper, sniffling, the tears freely falling as his heart breaks when hearing the swift snap of paper, Kid's yellows dilate in horror. He erupts into tears, wailing to the high heavens horrifying the others as he comes crashing down to the ground, spewing ruby red.

"Uh Sid? Kid just collapsed." Soul calls out to his teacher.

"Let him be." Sid brushes him off.

"Soul…" Soul's eyes expand when hearing Blackstar's bellow.

"Blackstar…you're writing in blood!? Thar's right you saw the answers in the laboratory and now you're trying to give them to me I'll carry out you're dying wish I promise I will!" Determined, Soul promises him watching on at the edge of his seat as Blackstar shoves his finger into her nose, using the blood to smear something on the blackboard revealing…his autograph.

"I don't want your stupid autograph!" Angrily, Soul snaps scowling at Blackstar as Liz leans over reaching out to the curled stray strand on Ox's bold head.

"You choose be quiet or die! Test is almost over you have ten seconds! Five seconds left! Test is over." Sid dictates.

"Victory!" Liz bellows swiftly snatching the stray strand from the shocked Ox.

"It's…over." Maka sighs slumping her shoulders.

"What do you mean he collapsed!?" Horrified, Ava snaps scowling at the sighing Sid having to call lord and lady Death to pick him up where he now deals with the mad mother, holding her son's unconscious form bridal style. Pitifully, Patty and Liz smile softly at the sheepish Sid, feeling bad for him to deal with the wrath of lady Ava.

"He collapsed. Something to do with his test paper." Uncertain, Sid scratches the back of his head.

"Say what now?" Astonished, Ava exclaims.

"He just spat blood and fell out of his seat." Sid sighs.

"My baby boy!" Teary eyed, Ava wails bringing her son closer to her making Death sighs sweat dropping at his wife.

"What happened exactly?" Death sighs as he stands trying to be the logical one of the two.

"The kid didn't spell his name right on the paper." Perplexed, Sid answers.

"He took the whole exam trying to write his name I take it?" Tiredly, Death exclaims furrowing his brow.

"How did you know?" Surprised, Sid exclaims.

"Kid's a perfection." Death sighs slumping his shoulders.

"My baby boy what did they do to you?" Wailing, Ava moves her body back and forth, the tears freely falling making the other two sweat drop.

"Well yeah it led to him ripping the paper when trying to rub it out." Sid tells the two.

"Of course the paper would rip… how did you guys do anyway?" Ava turns to the twins.

"I made a giraffe." Patty declares.

"With…a broken neck." Sid sweatdrops making Ava grimace, glancing to the side.

"Giraffe! Giraffe!" Patty cheerys chorusing it.

"Welp maybe Stein will give her bonus points for creativity?" Ava smiles strained as the family of lord death leave, ready to take Kid home.

"The exams just ended and you're already studying?" Soul furrows his brow as he spots Maka, the two at their apartment resting from the test.

"No, no when I was cleaning my room to study, I found an old photo album." Maka reveals.

"It's you and your perverted father?" Surprised, Soul notes.

"Yeah my father was only 18 at the time. He used to read me a lot of picture books…" Meekly, Maka smiles sadly at the memory…

"Congratulations papa the results for the super written exam are out." Boisterously, Blair beams brightly as she tends to Spirit, the two standing either side of one another.

"Hehe, Maka is unbelievable she came out first like just her mother long ago." Softly, Spirit smiles.

"Your ex-wife you mean papa." Blair corrects him making him wince.

"Yeah…Blair can I ask a favour of you?" Strained, Spirit smiles.

"What is it papa?" Perplexed, Blair asks him.

"That girl loves books, doesn't she? Can you find out if there's a particular book she really likes and offer it to her? I've put some money and a written card in this envelope I want to reward Maka for her hard work. I'm afraid she'll refuse if I give it to her personally." Spirit asks her.

"Papa really loves Maka in that case leave it to Blair!" Blair winks cheekily at Spirit.

"Thanks!" Spirit smiles grateful.

"Oh no, I ended up buying something for myself after all. I couldn't resist the temptation I'm used to being the one to do the tempting now I'm nothing more than a dirty cat burglar oh all I have to do is shrink it a little and it'll be perfect! Pump pumpkin pumpkin! Now drop the card inside and done! I'm home Maka!" Merrily, Blair beams brightly after coming up with her plan, pouting as she stares down at the gift in her grasp before using her magic to fix things.

"Hey welcome back there's pumpkin pie if you're hungry." Maka greets her.

"Sounds good here Maka I have a present for you from your papa it's to celebrate your good test score!" Blair gives her the present.

"What could it be?" Maka ponders as she opens bag where…

"Tadah!" Blair smiles as the two falter from the question horrified when Maka reveals the…

"What could that creep possibly be thinking by sending sexy underwear to his own daughter?" Disgusted, Soul gapes gawking at the thin one piece of sorts.

"Hold on Maka I think there's a card that's meant to go with it." Desperate, Blair offers taking out the card.

"Oh…great." Grimacing, Maka winces when she picks up the card.

"Congratulations I know you worked hard to get a high score that's why I'm sending you this present. I hope you can use this to relax and have a little fun you've earned it. From papa." Poisonously, Maka reads out the whole group faltering from it.

"What kind of fun does he mean? Just what kind of girl does he think I am?!" Angrily, Maka seethes snarling enraged cursing at her father unaware that far from them, Spirit smiles proudly at his little girl and her achievement.
