Hi, I'm back! Sorry it's been so long since I've been very busy. I'm now an official author and have published 2 books already! How cool is that? If you want to check out my books, I put the link in my profile. One is a Cthulhu romance while the other is a book series that was inspired by Beastars

Without further ado, let's go!

Chapter 63

Nash's P.O.V

Well, that went well that I expect it to be!

During my talk with the Edenia ladies, Bo Rai Cho was sitting at one of the chairs drinking his favourite wine in his hand. Mileena was exchanging glances between me and Kitana, who was tending to her mother. Jade had her arms crossed, her head down.

Long story short: It is decided that Kitana will rule Outworld but it was just a suggestion since we have other fighters and let's not forget a certain Aztec god might not be okay with it!

"But other than that," I began, voice wavering. "I think we should all rest for today and plan a meeting for tomorrow? So that everyone's on the same page?"

I was afraid that I might have offended them, since none of the Edenia ladies were smiling aside from Mileena. I feel alone in this room even if it's full of people who wanted to speak with me. Guess it's just me not being an expert on social cues as Bryan would have called it.

Should've let him dragged me to every hangouts and parties back when we were in school.

"I'd take that offer anytime!" said Bo Rai Cho, taking another swig of his drink. "Ladies, you know how much we all need to recover. Besides that, we need support from all sides or else we're just enhancing Shao Kahn's goal."

Bo Rai Cho was slapped in the face by Sindel's hair, much to my horror. Remember when I thought coming to the Mortal Kombat world meant having a harem just like my favourite types of anime? Yeah, I wished I didn't imagine that after everything I've been through!

"Do not even compare us to that monster," Sindel growled before turning her attention towards me. "Young man, as much as things has changed in the past, we all agree that you and your friends need to go home."

I could only nod. If we stay here long enough, time might as well passed in our world. I'm scared at the thought of us coming back but everyone around us are either gone or aged badly. Not to mention the girls might not want to go home since they decided to date Outworld men.

I'm not going to mention Azril and Frost's relationship since either one of them is going to have my head as a trophy.

The only one I would like to talk to now would be Bryan, who's probably busy with the Special Forces right now. Okay, he and I may be different but the both of us do share the same wavelength. I just hope after this I could go and talk to him.

"I think Bo Rai Cho is right," I spoke up, back stiffened while my hands are balled into fists. "Let's see what all sides would say about this and in the end, we can decide who can be the new emperor. I don't know whether it is Outworld or we could actually get Edenia back, but I know one thing's for sure."

I scanned the room. All eyes were on me and now the feeling of doubt was starting to come back. I took a deep breath and said: "It's a new era. We can rebuild what was destroyed and make sure all of Outworld knows that they are safe."

Mileena and Bo Rai Cho seemed to be the only two people who agreed with me while the three ladies sat in silence.

Dear god, when will this nightmare end?!

Those were the main traits D'Vorah has honed herself to survive the moment she hatched out. She wouldn't have thought that a simple hunting trip could turn the tables at an instant. Over the years, she has never experienced nor seen two unlikely individuals binding their bodies together into one.

Was this what most Earthrealmers call soulmates?

It was a foreign concept since D'Vorah only had her hive and young to care for. It doesn't matter who is winning in this war so long she still thrives. Sometimes, the cowardly will survive. Of course, she has to fight but right now, her abdomen was filled with eggs that made her look like she has put on weight.

"We know you are there, D'Vorah!"

The sound of Reptile's sibilant voice was enough to make her crawl without making a sound. Nothing mattered to her except the survival of her hive and herself. Last time she has encountered that human he has mated with, her aura seemed different.

More beast-like rather than human.

Not to mention how Reptile's hunting instinct was on par with her own. D'Vorah does her best to evade most of the strikes she has felt. That Zaterran has camouflaged himself within this cavern while the sound of the approaching footsteps made the Kytinn believed that hovering in mid-air might save her.

Oh, how wrong she was!

Before she knew it, a sudden force slammed down on her from behind. That hidden force was none other than Reptile, who had a feral look in his eyes while his long tongue was licking his chops. Clearly, the Kytinn had to defend herself if it meant losing her limbs and her precious cargo.

It was difficult to produce a swarm to shake the reptilian off of her but Reptile was clinging on, claws deep into her torso. His sharp teeth bit her neck, drawing out the blue blood. A low growl was emitted from his throat.

"You won't need the these wings anymore," Reptile chuckled, ripping off all of the Kytinn's wings to make her plunge down to the ground. Screeching in pain, D'Vorah tried her best to crawl away from Reptile's grasp but...

"Going somewhere?"

D'Vorah managed to lift her head up to meet a bone-masked figure. On her shoulder was the bearded dragon, who had a small smirk on his face. It dawned upon D'Vorah that Skarlet and Nitara's magic seemed to fused both owner and pet together.

Meaning, both sides can share each other's thoughts and instincts.

"Kill This One and you won't get more information," D'Vorah buzzed, coughing out blue blood. Riana kneeled down, a gloved hand traced the Kytinn's neck delicately. Reptile was pinning D'Vorah from behind.

"Exactly," Riana nodded, her tone was oddly calm. "However if we let you go, you're probably going to rat us out or we become food for your hive."

D'Vorah glared at her but winced in pain when Reptile dug his claws deeper into her sides. What both the Zaterran and the Kytinn did not expect was the action that Riana had done:

She lunged forward and bit D'Vorah on the neck!

The cavern was now filled with her shrieks of pain, the sounds of flesh squelching and crunching away. The floor was now painted in blue blood. Both human and Zaterran were silent except for their heavy breathing.

"What are we going to do?"

Reptile tapped his snout absentmindedly. "I supposed we will have to inform the others about this. However, we don't have any proof except her own words about betraying us all for the sakes of her hive. K'oatal really cares about her before he even met me."

This made Riana pat her lover on his back. "Well, we can just tell everyone that D'Vorah attacked us and we both have a few marks from her. There's that and I'm pretty sure Kollector is still alive..."

Reptile huffed. "He won't be getting far. Must have gone back to where the other Naknadans go. They have a village similar to the Tarkatans but more..."

"I see..." Riana pondered at the idea, pacing across D'Vorah's body. "We can try and negotiate through the meeting. Though I think we might need to be on guard in case she can regenerate."

Reptile nodded, carrying D'Vorah's corpse while Riana walked alongside him with her claw close to the Kytinn's neck.

One thing is for sure: Mortal Kombat has an unpredictable environment.

...

Nash's P.O.V.

"So you've tried every combination and MAY have found the right one?" I asked in a low whisper, praying Bryan doesn't squawk to draw any attention. The youngest Disciple nodded his head.

"Uh huh but I need some...guinea pigs to put it lightly," Bryan whispered, his fingers drumming underneath the table. I am just nervous because it's my first time sitting at the round table like those characters I've seen in movies.

You know, the ones getting down to business and planning the next attack?

"You want one of us to do it?"

Bryan gave me a sideway glance, his mouth forming a Cheshire Cat smile. He was looking across my shoulder at something. Confused, I followed his gaze, eyes landing on Kristina sitting between Erron Black and Ermac while Riana is whispering something to Azril.

It's bad enough that both Reptile and Frost were having a stare down across from their lovers.

The Edenians were sitting at one corner, the Tarkatans at another, Earthrealmers such as the and the Shokans occupying the last end. With Kotal at the centre, no one looks pleased. Beside the Osh-Tekk was Raiden and Fujin. As a fan of the game, I was excited that all of the characters are here but at the same time nervous.

When has there been a happy moment in Mortal Kombat?

"Shall we begin the meeting?" asked Raiden, his electric blue eyes scanning the room. Seeing that no one is objecting, the meeting started with each group telling us about the aftermath of the final battle.

What concerned me was who will rule Outworld now that Shao Kahn is dead.

"Okay, before everyone draws out their knives," Johnny Cage began, much to everyone's annoyance. "Can we please address that these five kids have been wanting to go home since the beginning?"

"About that," Raiden cleared his throat. "I may transport them back to their world however..."

"However what?" Kristina prompted, Ermac squeezing her shoulder in comfort. "Well, I don't think all of us want to go back. Riana, Azril, tell them!"

Both of the older Disciples exchanged glances, Riana had her hands on her lap while Azril straightened himself from his seat. My sister took a deep breath before addressing everyone in the room.

"Kristina's right. She, Azril and I have thoughts about staying since we don't know whether we can actually go back home. If we do, then there's a slim chance we will ever come back here. It sounds crazy but this place is growing on me."

Azril crossed his arms and nodded. "I understand if we can't come back either way. Whatever happens, I'll be ready."

I could see the Edenians, Kotal and their lovers were expressing concern but that was overshadowed by the elephant in the room. I decided to take the first step and I've thought long and hard about it.

"Everyone, I think I have an idea," I announced, gaining some attention, with full support from Mileena. She was holding my hand, urging me to continue. Without haste, I told everyone my idea. Since Ermac was the one who defeated Shang Tsung...

"Ermac, since you're the one who killed Shang Tsung, did you absorb any of his powers or abilities?"

Now everyone's attention was at the withering construct, whose glowing green eyes flickered. Ermac nodded slowly. "We absorbed his knowledge. Kristina and Erron discussed with us about a reverse spell. This spell may unmerged Edenia from Outworld."

Kitana and Jade immediately went up to him with their weapons. Kristina used her foot to kick off Kitana's fan blades while Erron aimed his gun at Jade's head. However, a crack from Raiden's lighting was enough to stop an upcoming brawl between the five.

"Enough! How are we to going to settle this when all of you are jumping into conclusions? Now, Ermac, can you perform the spell?"

Ermac slowly nodded, levitating from his seat. All of us watched as he chanted out a spell in a language I can't even tell. He might as well speak gibberish for all I know! But then again, strange things have happened in Mortal Kombat ever since we came in. The room was surrounded with a green atmosphere that clouded everyone in the room. Mileena and I held onto each other, waiting for Ermac's chant to end.

I only have questions in mind:

Will the games still be the same once we go back home? Am I prepared to leave knowing my sister and friends may stay? Bryan and I may be the only ones going home.

Once Ermac finished, the green atmosphere dissapated and we were all wondering if it really worked. Everything looks fine to me!

"Ermac, is it done?" Kotal asked in a hushed tone.

"Indeed," said Ermac. He murmured another spell and out appeared a map. Apparently it is the map of Outworld where one section was written as Edenia. Kitana, Jade and Sindel couldn't believed their eyes. Now they have their own kingdom to rule, Kotal can rule here and everyone's happy, right?

WRONG!

There's still some doubts about the whole situation. It looked like we're going to be stuck in this meeting. But Raiden announced that we will have a break before coming back to resume the meeting.

"K'oatal, there's something we need to discuss privately," Reptile hissed, his hand was intertwined with my sister's. Riana was looking stiff. Before I could wonder, the three of them left together, leaving me alone in the room with Mileena.

This gives me room to breathe. There's a lot to think about and I'm not sure how I can be much of help. Mileena was laying across the seat.

"We can kill some time before they come back~" she purred, her eyes gazing into mine. "What do you say?"

Well, I could kill some time...

Sorry if the chapter is short because this story is almost at its end. It's been a wild journey and hope to post more stories in the future. Well, I should get back to writing my 3rd book after this

For those who waited for so long, I'm very sorry
