"You need to stop beating yourself over that…" Tiredly, Ava sighs slumping her shoulders feeling her fingertips gingerly touch her shoulder, craning her head to the side when feeling his eyes glued upon her neck as a still silence fills the air around the death room once Spirit had been dismissed, leaving the two alone.
"Ava…" Gently, Lord Death sighs clearly concerned for his wife.
"I chose to do it, if I hadn't done that who knows what world we would be in." Irritated, she scowls reminding him of the fact.
"I nearly broke you…" Lord Death sighs sadly, guilt laced in his tone, his voice turning deeper, huskier reverting to his original voice.
"I was the first weapon remember? Of course they'll be some issues only made the following generations of weapons after stronger." Smirking, Ava points out looking up at Lord Death.
"Ava…" Lord Death sighs sadly.
"It's only natural for there to be better versions of us. Although the world believes us to be the superior versions since my brother and I were the originals. We are nothing but filled with the flaws that generations have fixed over the millennia. We're the weakest no doubt about it." Honestly, Ava confesses stating the fact of the matter furrowing her brow at her brother. She understood partially why, he didn't want to be left behind, he didn't want to be left in the sands of time, he didn't want to decay and be left behind, he wanted respect and he thought power would lead to that respect which honestly she understood far too well but…
"That isn't necessarily true, sure you have cracks from over the years of fighting, but you have experience and you are much more powerful than the other weapons I have wielded over the years." Optimistically, Lord Death points out.
"Sweetheart I appreciate the sentiment I do but you don't need to lie as each new generation is born, I grow weaker and I'm okay with that…just seeing Kid grow up is more than enough for me." Honestly, Ava confesses placing her hand over his sighing, she was proud of her son seeing how far he grew…
"That was a foul Maka you double dribbled the ball!" Sternly, Kid points out brow furrowed pointing at the mystified Maka lost to the game, having no clue what to do in terms of both the game and rules lost to what a double dribble is.
"Come on you're the captain shouldn't you know better?" Blackstar calls out as the kids crowd around one another, Blackstar placing his hands behind his head hollering at her.
"Huh? I don't get it. What's a double dribble? I mean it sounds kinda cool." Confused, Maka questions perplexed.
"Okay I don't have a boyfriend anyway guess I might as well do some work oh yeah I forgot everything's happened so quickly I'll need to stay at your place until I find an apartment in town." Merrily, Marie reveals to Stein sitting by his side on the bench leaning back against the bench as a certain redhead watches from afar.
"That's fine but don't blame me if you end up dismembered." Stein warns her.
"I have complete faith in you." Amused, Marie chuckles as Spirit watches on his bright blues narrowing at the two before him…
"What is it?" Spirit questions both Lord and Lady Death.
"Actually, we need to talk to you about Stein." Death reveals to Spirit, his bright blues widening when hearing his name.
"Stein sir?" Spirit furrows his brow confused.
"No doubt about it, Stein knows his own madness is beginning to take hold of him again." Ava states the fact of the matter.
"So you put him with Marie?" Mystifed, Spirit furrows his brow.
"I think she's the best partner for him right now. Ava may be able to consume his madness but…" Lord Death sighs as he looks over at his wife clearly concerned.
"I'm still dealing with Asura's wavelengths handling Stein's may be a tad bit too much for me right ow…" Exhausted, Ava grimaces as she pinches the bridge of her nose. Spirit notes the heavy bags dangling down her yellows. He notes the other hand combing her fingertips through her locks, tugging at a few stray strands.
"Not to mention her soul wavelength should have a positive on the madness inside him so Spirit you're Stein's former partner can we ask you to keep an eye on his situation for us as well." Lord Death requests.
"Yes." Spirit nods his head in understanding.
"Good then you're dismissed." Death tells him as Spirit leaves the two alone.
"You're growing soft Death…" Amused, Ava chuckles shaking her head at them as she then sits down on the platform, leaning into the plush pillow of her palm, placing her elbow on her knees, sat down, chuckling softly under her breath bemused.
"Only cause of you." Death leans down gently tapping his mask against her cheek making her close her eye briefly before snickering smiling softly at the peck of sorts.
"I'm sure." Smirking, she places her hand on his cheek, pulling him in for her lips to brush against his own mask cheek.
"You should be resting." Sternly, he reminds her scolding her almost as his brow furrowed only making her snicker, shaking her head at him.
"Probably." Ava shrugs carelessly chuckling.
"And why aren't you?" Death questions her.
"Because I'm fine I've had worse. You know that." Ava points out smirking, he knew she had her fair fights just as he did, the two have been through a lot, this was nothing or at the least she thought him on the other hand hum worriedly.
"I'm fine promise." Firmly, she promises Death.
"Promise if you feel even a sting you'll head home to bed." Worriedly, Lord Death tells her placing his hand on her shoulder making her smile softly up at him.
"I promise." Softly, she smiles up at her husband, her hand on his mask cheek, feeling his mask cheek clink against her cheek making her chuckle, smiling softly up at her husband fussing over her…
