ScareS 5, Mephilver, Sonadow (Part 2)

"Are you done now?," an anthropomorphic hedgehog with blue and fawn fur asks annoyed, tapping his right foot in a red and white sneaker with unusual speed on the floor. "Yes, I'm done.," the other, another hedgehog, this one with dark fur, upturned quills and light stripes in his fur, replies and steps away from the human, that sits on the desk chair, slumped over, with the head on the keyboard of the laptop, writing page for page strange words.

The other two beings in the room, a hedgehog with silver fur and five quills on his head and another black furred hedgehog, identical to the first one, besides the red stripes and eyes, sit on the bed in the room, looking bored.

"I really don't get it. We have one night to be here on Earth – just one! – and you have nothing better to do than taking us to human hunting. Seriously, that's the fourth now! What have these people done to deserve this...nightmare thingy?," Sonic, the blue hedgehog, asks.

"Have you seen, what they write?," Mephiles, the dark and pale striped hedgehog answers, pointing to the laptop.

"I'm not exactly a bookworm. Besides, isn't that private, or something like that?," Sonic wonders, confused.

"Pah, private! This human writes Mephilver-stories! As did the others!," the dark male rages. "So?," the silver hedgehog asks, slipping off the bed, going over to the black furred hedgehog and wrapping his arms around the other from behind. "It's not, like we aren't an item, right?," the silver male whispers, making the other blush. "Th-that's not the point! The point is, that those humans think, that they can write about our love life! And then this 'I love you, too, my Silvy.' Would like to know, how the heck they know about this. Damn stalkers.," the dark dominant growls.

"They're just humans, so what?," Sonic shrugs. "By the way, this one's also writing Sonadow-stories.," Mephiles mentions, a smug look on his face.

Two pairs of eyes widen and at once, the laptop's pulled away from the human, the head of said being falling unceremoniously on the desk. Frantically, the hedgehogs look for the documents and read them with growing astonishment.

"No way!," Sonic finally breaks the silence and jumps off the desk. "There is no way, that I will EVER be together with this faker!," he declares.

"Do you think I find it funny to be put together with a weakling?," the dark hedgehog growls, jumping down, too.

"What did you call me!?," Sonic snaps and before the other two know, what is happening, the two are chasing each other through the room, both just blurs of colors.

Silver sighs. "Four places, four fights. At least this is a better reason to fight, than the last." He changes his voice for the next part. "'You almost stepped on my foot, Faker!'," he mimics Shadow's voice almost perfectly. He shakes his head at their antics and turns to his lover.

"Say, Mephy," He just loves it, how the nickname makes him blush, "why are you always taking so long with the humans? You know, that I don't like this, why do you have to torture them for an hour or longer?" His voice drips by now with disappointment.

Mephiles sighs as well. "I'm sorry, Silver, but it isn't my fault. Humans aren't easily scared. They are good in telling themselves, that they just imagined something, that isn't rational at all. I let this one see a completely empty room, filled with water, while not being able to swim – and what did this foolish creature think, when I loosened the illusion to demonstrate my power? Too much sugar! Imagine this! I'm the master of horror! And explained with an unhealthy substance! Oh, the indignity of it all!"

Silver chuckles silently, while he rages on, knowing, that his love isn't used to this much ignorance. Mobians such as himself are easier spooked.

"Anyway, I'm waking the human up and we're out of here. Hopefully all humans we visit today are stopping this Mephilver-nonsense.," the dark seme finally says, at last coming out of his rant.

Silver nods and smiles, before he notices, that it is suddenly... oddly quiet. He looks around and his jaw drops. "E...er...M-Meph?," he manages to stutter.

"Hm?" The dark hedgehog turns away from the human he was just about to wake and follows his uke's outstretched finger towards the bed...on that are currently the other two hedgehogs busy with making out. Shadow pins Sonic in the pillows, his hands obviously wandering. Muffled moans are audible.

"Oh no, you don't!," the other dark seme growls. Black tentacles shoot out of his shadow, grab the couple around their waists, lift them up and separate them this way. "Hey!," both hedgehogs complain.

"'Hey' yourself. Remember your 'no PDA'-rule?," Mephiles deadpans towards Sonic. "Because there were kids on the street! We're all grown-ups and alone here, so it's okay.," Sonic counters. "As far as I know it, you're sixteen.," Shadow remarks. "And you're fifty-something. What's worse – you making out with me or the other way round?," Sonic snaps.

"Okay, that's enough. It's gross, that Sonic's making out with Shadow and Shadow's a pedophile for making out with Sonic. Now that this is settled, let's go.," Mephiles breaks the fight off, before it can escalate. It had been such a pain to remove the traces of their fights at their previous destinations – he wasn't keen on seeing, how the humans would explain exotic colored (and far too big) hedgehog quills in a traumatized person's bed. In other words, Sonadow had to wait with celebrating its beginning.

He shoved all three males out, Silver with utmost care, of course, only to stop in the door frame. "I have the feeling I forgot something...," he muses, but then shrugs. "Eh, probably nothing." And he vanishes in the darkness, leaving the house.

Behind him, the clock on the shelf shows 12, midnight. The curtains in front of the window part, thanks to the wind, coming through the window, opened by the departed intruders, moonlight shining in the room.

It's illuminating the person sitting there, slumped over the desk, head on the desktop. It was the darkest hedgehog's last victim, now forever trapped in the world of nightmares.
