Chapter 12: The Choice Is Yours, Shoto
Izuku vs Shoto: I Feel Alive by Fabvl
Review Replies
Devil Dragon Stand Knight: Looking forward to the next bouts.
Dragon Emperor0: You should. It's gonna be absolutely buck f*quack*ing WILD this chapter, and easily the best we've done yet.
ThermalsniperN7: So grab your snacks and soda.
Joanne Frances Tiano Cajilig: This chapter kicked so much ass! It's way better than the anime, question: are you going to make some of the class B students jinchurikis? they're pretty much outgunned…
Dragon Emperor0: Why yes, they do. In fact they have two Bijuu currently: Chomei and Kokuo. Their Jinchurukis are Poni and Togaru.
ThermalsniperN7: That should balance things out just a bit.
SuperShadic2002: Now what would have made me laugh even harder during Ochako and Katsuki's fight is if she brought a metal can with the words 'Whoop Ass' on it, opened it, and proceeded to fold Katsuki like an omelet. Also, yes, you did spoil who's first with the hint.
Dragon Emperor0: Ya see, this is what Sakura should have been from the start. I bet if she was like Ochako back in the early days, she wouldn't be called useless.
ThermalsniperN7: Yeah. No kidding. She was an absolute joke.
DanDrake: Awesome chapter though I'm curious since izuku taught ochako the eight gates. Does that mean he himself can use them? And if so how many can he open?
Dragon Emperor0: Yes he can. Specifically he can open two of the eight himself.
Zinthos001: So did he use a toned down version of the golem and statues? Because those things would be too big to fit in the usj if he didn't and could just sit on the nomu.
Dragon Emperor0: Well, yes and no. Yes it was a toned down version, but that's because using the full version would cause too much collateral damage
ThermalsniperN7: Izuku really didn't have much of a choice there. Plus there was also the risk of endangering his classmates if he used the full size version.
Zinthos001: Oh fuck yeah don't abandon this shit man I need to see more of this.
ThermalsniperN7: Brace yourself, cuz you're getting what you wanted.
Dragon Emperor0: And then some.
UnevenerGgc2: That fight was way crazier than I expected. I didn't think Uraraka would be such a natural at the Eight Gates. This just makes me fear that she'll open the 8th Gate at some point and Izuku will go crazy.
ThermalsniperN7: You're not wrong about him going crazy if that happens, but I doubt it actually will, so no reason to worry about it.
Dragon Emperor0: Yeah.
iron-slayer-dragon: Great chapter. Love that Ochaco is the Eight Gates practitioner.. really makes her super badass.
Dragon Emperor0: Now she's not just another pretty face.
ThermalsniperN7: We thought it suited her, too.
-Hallway of the sports festival stadium-
Katsuki let out a low grumble as he walked up the stairs to the stands after his match. He was kicking himself for letting himself nearly get curb stomped in the first round.
"Damn it! She almost tagged our asses!" He snapped angrily.
"If being with Naruto has taught me anything, it's never underestimate seemingly weak opponents." Kurama grunted. "I wouldn't be surprised if your Uchiha friend supplied her with information to give her an edge, either." He added.
"Ditto." The explosive boy muttered in agreement with narrowed eyes. If Izuku did give the gravity girl the information he had on him, then the nerd was gonna feel the pain for it.
The blonde then stopped when he saw his broccoli haired rival walking across his path as he headed towards his match.p
"Oi, Deku!" He barked, getting the Uchiha's attention. "Pink Cheeks nearly flattened me and Kurama in our match! Did you give her anything on me?!" He demanded.
"Nope." Izuku replied, causing the Pomeranian blonde to pause. "I did make the offer, yes, but she turned it down. She got you into that position on her own merit." He told him before walking off.
"... Huh. Apparently I was wrong." The Kyuubi commented after a beat passed.
"But to be honest, Kacchan." The successor to all might said as he stopped briefly, looking back over his shoulder. "I'd be more concerned about what I'm going to do when I get my hands on you in the final round." He added, his sharingan burning holes into his rival.
This intimidation display sent a shiver up Katsuki's spine, despite himself. Sure, he knew he was probably gonna get some form of payback from his rival after what happened with Ochako, but the Sharingan intimidation still got to him sometimes.
Without a word, the red eyed bomber walked off.

Izuku sighed as he kept walking to the arena, still seething at the talk he just had… right as a man that he had no interest in talking to right now.
"Oh goody." The green haired Uchiha grumbled sarcastically. "What could you possibly want, Endeavor?" He questioned neutrally as he looked at the number 2 hero.
"I was looking for you, Uchiha." The man stated as he turned towards the boy. "I wanted to compliment you on your match. You're quite powerful." He explained. "And that quirk you showed in the cavalry battle–to generate so much power in just your hand. It reminds me of All Might." He continued. "It's my Shoto's duty to surpass All Might one day. And your ninjutsu training has been remarkable for him. So I want to go all out on him, test him to see how much more training he needs." He added. "Don't disgrace him or yourself by holding back."
"Are you serious right now?" Izuku chuckled darkly. "Endeavor, if there's one thing you should know about Shinobi from your old studies, it's that we hide our strength to gain trust in those around us. Of course, I'm just presuming that you studied people like me." He added. This made the flame hero frown.
"What are you getting at?" He questioned.
"What I'm getting at, is that I can see right through your proud father act. I know that you're a terrible father and an even worse person. It frankly baffles me with how you're still seen as a hero." The Heir Apparent of three clans stated, which caused the man to bristle.
"What?" The No. 2 hero growled as he clenched his fists. Izuku then turned back to him and gave Enji a polite bow.
"In short: You suck. And thank you for coming to my Ted Talk." The boy quipped as he stood back up and walked away.
(A few minutes later)
Izuku and Shoto both walked onto the arena floor as the crowds kept cheering. The torches at each side of the stadium illuminated the boy's faces as they glared at each other intensely.
"And here they are folks! Our next pair of fighters: He's a boy descended from a long line of Shinobi Royalty, from the Hero course it's—Izuku Midoriya!" Mic called as the Uchiha boy activated his green Sharingan.
"So, who do you think is gonna come out on top this time?" Kaminari asked Sero who was sitting next to him.
"Hard to say. It could be a draw for all we know." The tape using teen shrugged.
"Versus! The ice cold heatwave heartthrob from the same class: it's—Shoto Todoroki!" Mic called. "Ready? BEGIN!" He yelled.
"Now!" Shoto exclaimed as he attacked first with an ice barrage, but Izuku—having anticipated this with his Sharingan—blinked out of range of the attack with the body flicker Jutsu before he skid to the ground across from his opponent and finished making a set of hand seals.
"Earth Style: Four Cardinal Walls!" He called as four stone walls rose and boxed the boy's in.
"What the-?! What is Midoriya doing?! He's trapped himself with Todoroki!" Present Mic exclaimed in surprise.
"Or, more accurately, Todoroki is trapped with Midoriya." Aizawa commented in a knowing tone.
Shoto growled as he kept attacking with barrage after barrage of ice, and Izuku kept dodging until the ground was covered in ice, and the ground was crowded enough to where the two toned boy couldn't move very well while Izuku had a great vantage point over him on top of an ice peak.
Making a hand sign, he held out his palm, which had the kanji for Enlightenment on it. "Wood Style: Crown of the Tenth Edict of Enlightenment." He exclaimed as wood sprouted behind Shoto and suddenly started wrapping itself around his head before locking down tight.
Up in the stands, everyone gasped as the two toned boy tried in vain to get the crown off. "What did Midoriya just do?" Iida questioned.
"He just suppressed Icy-Hot's chakra with that crown. There's no way he'll be able to use Ice Release now." Katsuki replied.
Back with the two combatants...
"Fire Style: Fireball Jutsu!" He called as he sent a giant fireball down at the ice while leaping into the air, before landing on top of the layer of now five inches of water with water walking. "Wood Style: Four Godly Gates Jutsu!" He exclaimed as four wood walls with the faces of Amaterasu, Susanoo, Tsukoyomi and Kajin on them rose inside the earth ones.
"What the heck is Izuku doing?" Himiko wondered aloud as she and Ochako watched their boyfriend intently. Katsuki meanwhile seemed to know exactly what was going on, and his expression was rather grim.
"Something that could very well be considered overkill." The Pomeranian boy told them in an ominous tone.
Back with the two fighters, Shoto was having trouble accurately aiming his ice attacks with the water around him. And with his chakra suppressed he couldn't use water walking so that he could freeze the water once on top—which allowed Izuku to continue to melt the attacks with fire release moves, and keep adding more and more water to it, until it was up to his knees.
"Alright, now for phase two!" Izuku grinned as he activated his Mangekyo Sharingan and looked at his Wood walls. "Amaterasu!" He exclaimed as black fire gathered on top of the walls.
"I'm getting sick and tired of this! Just go already!" Shoto yelled as he suddenly conjured a Heaven Piercing Ice Wall, but just like before—Izuku predicted this.
"Fire Style: Majestic Destroyer Flame!" He yelled as he released the Jutsu that was created by the strongest Shinobi alive, second only to Hashirama Senju: Madara Uchiha.
The result of the clash was explosive. The winds from the steam and resulting shockwave blew against everyone, causing them to hold onto their seats to avoid being sent flying. The glass of the commentator's booth was actually cracked quite severely.
As the steam cleared, Izuku and Shoto were still standing, but now the two toned boy was in the middle of the arena, in chest deep water and couldn't use his ice powers effectively anymore. The black flames of Amaterasu sent small amounts of surface water into the stratosphere as Izuku stood on top of it.
"And now, phase three." He said as he made a Shadow clone who ran past Shoto to the other side of the arena, then they started making hand signs at the same time, their Sharingan helping them keep in synch. "Ushi, Sara, Oo, Nae, Ee, Tori, Ushi, Uma, Tori, Nae, Tora, Inu, Tora, Mee, Ushi, Hitsuchi, Mee, Ee, Hitsuchi, Nae, Jin, Sara, Tori, Tatsu, Tori, Ushi, Uma, Hitsuchi, Tora, Mee, Nae, Sara, Oo, Ee, Tatsu, Hitsuchi, Nae, Ushi, Sara, Tori, Jin, Nae, Ee…" The two Izukus started saying together.
Meanwhile in the stands, announcer and teachers booths, Endeavor, All Might, Aizawa and Mic were trying to figure out what they were doing.
"Uh, what's going on?" The blond sound hero wondered as he scratched his cheek in confusion.
"I'm… not sure." The erasure hero replied, just as confused.
'Young Midoriya, what are you up to that requires you to do this?' All Might wondered mentally.
'The more hand signs a ninja makes typically means that the Jutsu in question is very powerful. I wonder what it could be?' The number two hero thought.
"Tori/Tora!" The two Izukus said. "Water/Fire Style: Water/Fire Dragon Jutsu!" They exclaimed as all the water in the stadium gathered into a gargantuan sized water dragon construct, and the fire caused by the slowly burning wood walls gathered into an equally sized fire dragon.
"WHOA!" Himiko shouted in shock as she and Ochako looked at the display with side eyes.
"Hey Todoroki…" Izuku and his clone asked the boy between him and their elemental constructs as bloodthirsty smirks spread across their faces—Sharingan eyes gleaming in the torch light. "Wanna play a game of chicken?" They questioned.
"Uh… No. Not really." Shoto replied with a nervous gulp as unease set in.
"Well, too bad." Izuku prime said as the clone then disappeared. And then the fire and water dragon rushed right for the boy, and with a split second decision, Shoto created an ice pillar to evade the two attacks, which collided and created a cloud of steam which rose into the air due to the updraft of Amaterasu.
As this happened, Izuku started making more hand signs while Shoto was still in the air. "Fire Style: Dragon Fire Bullets!" He yelled as Fire bullets shot towards Shoto—prompting him to dodge—but his reaction time was slow, which made him get a burn on his right arm.
It was then that the green haired Shinobi noted that the boy was now covered in frostbite. And was now getting slower.
"Why are you holding back, Todoroki? You know damn well that you won't have a shot in hell at beating me if you don't go all out." Izuku taunted. "Look at you. You have frostbite from using your right side too much. That's the drawback of quirks; they're physical abilities that take a toll on the body if overused." He continued. "Chakra has no such drawbacks. So like I said, do yourself a favor and go all out, damn it!" He finished with a firm look.
"What're you saying?! Did my father put you up to this?!" The boy yelled, frost continuing to cover him.
"No, I just think it won't be a fair fight." Izuku replied.
"We're both on the same level, how can you say that?!" Shoto growled.
"Tsk tsk tsk. No, you misunderstand, Todoroki." The Uchiha boy said with a smirk as he wagged his finger. "I don't mean it wouldn't be a fair fight for me, far from it…" Izuku said before he used the body flicker technique to get up close to Shoto, Sharingan active. "I mean it won't be a fair fight for you." He added before he delivered a kick to Shoto's stomach that sent him skidding backwards.
"Agh!" The two toned boy grunted as he barely caught himself with an ice wall, his body shaking from the frostbite.
Izuku then kept pressing him as the two charged at each other, exchanging blow after blow, punches, kicks and other such attacks until Izuku kicked Shoto into the wood wall, which cracked on impact and followed it with a punch to the boy's stomach.
Shoto fell to his hands and knees as he coughed up blood, and looked over at his father in the stands, who glared at him disapprovingly. "*cough* Look at him, he's furious." The boy said.
"Even when you're getting your ass kicked, that's all you think about?" Izuku growled as he activated his Mangekyo Sharingan again.
"Shut… Up." Shoto growled as he wobbled to his feet, body and face swollen from the fight. "I refuse to use my left side." He growled.
In a fit of anger, he rushed at Izuku who vomited a murder of crows that clouded his vision. That caused Shoto to stagger slightly and when it cleared, he felt a small weight on his shoulder. Looking, he saw a crow sitting there… and it had a Sharingan eye looking right at him.
"Kotoamatsukami." Izuku intoned from behind the boy as the Crow looked Shoto in the eye. This caused Shoto to almost lock up, which surprised everyone as Mic and Aizawa began to comment on it.
"Hey Eraser, what's that?" Mic questioned.
"Well, I was not expecting that to be used." The tired looking hero stated. "The Kotoamatsukami is a mind altering technique exclusive to the Uchihas. It can be used for anything from giving someone a push in the right direction to making them a new person." He continued. This surprised the audience.
"Don't you see, Todoroki?" Izuku said as he walked around his opponent and got in front of him at a distance. "Your quirk isn't your father's quirk, or your mother's or anyone else's. It's not something that they can use for you. It's yours and yours alone!" He added.
The Crow on Shoto's shoulder cawed at him before it suddenly flew into the air and into Shoto's mouth, forcing itself down his throat and causing the boy to fall to his knees again.
Memories flashed in the boy's mind, and as he took to his feet again, he felt a huge weight being lifted off his shoulders as his right side began to thaw, and his left suddenly burst into flames as the two toned lad used both sides at once!
"That's more like it!" Izuku grinned in excitement. He wasn't the only one grinning though…
"YES! SHOTO!" Endeavor yelled in triumph as he saw the boy use his flames.
"Why are you smiling?" Shoto questioned Izuku as he too smiled. "In this hopeless situation, how can you still smile?" He asked.
"Because you just gave me the last push I needed for my final Jutsu of this match: A Jutsu that cannot be evaded." Izuku explained before he pointed to the sky. "Observe." He added as a MASSIVE thundercloud started forming above the entire stadium and part of the school.
"What the-?! What's happening?!" Kaminari shouted with wide eyes as he looked at the sky with everyone else.
"Deku's plan just came full circle." Katsuki stated, causing everyone to look at him.
"*Ribbit* What do you mean?" Tsu asked.
"Yeah, and what does he mean by a Jutsu that can't be evaded?" Momo added.
"Icy-hot was never Deku's target. Every elemental clash was a build up to the main course. Those fire jutsus were used to create an ascending air current which led to the rapid rise of the ambient temperature in the air, leading to creation of a cumulonimbus cloud. Also known as a thunder cloud." The bomber explained as he looked at the sky.
"I don't understand though, what does that have to do with anything?" Mina questioned as lightning started gathering all over the place, which made both Cementos and Midnight duck and cover as the rain fell.
"Deku doesn't have to use his own chakra. Instead, he's gonna take advantage of the high amounts of energy in the atmosphere to recreate a lightning style jutsu invented by Sasuke Uchiha to kill his brother, Itachi." Katsuki explained.
"Really?! Which one?" Kaminari questioned.
"That sounds really dangerous, man." Kirishima noted.
"It's a Jutsu that's greater than anyone can ever create, using elemental change and Chakra shaping alone." The blondie explained. Back with the two boys, Izuku gathered some lightning Chakra into his hand.
"I see, so Midoriya deliberately goaded Todoroki into attacking him with ice attack after ice attack and trapped it all to give himself plenty of water to create enough steam to create this cloud with the help of Amaterasu." Aizawa noted, taking in his student's very methodical and rational thought process and astounding forward planning.
"This is insane! Look at all that lightning!" Present Mic exclaimed in a dumbstruck manner as the lightning flashed in the sky wildly.
In the stands, Himiko looked at Katsuki and asked one thing.
"Does this mean what I think it means?" She questioned.
"Yep." The red eyed boy nodded. "Deku just tamed lightning." He confirmed.
"This Jutsu calls the lightning down from the heavens, all I need to do is simply direct it right at you." Izuku said, Mangekyo Sharingan still active.
"Just as I thought. That's why this Jutsu can't be evaded." Aizawa noted as Mic looked at him in confusion.
"Why not?" Mic asked.
"Because lightning flashes in one 1000th of a second, it's faster than sound. There's no conceivable way to react quick enough to evade it." The erasure hero explained.
Meanwhile, down with the referees, both heroes spoke to each other, Nezu and All Might via radios.
"Principal, should we stop this fight?" Cementos questioned.
"This is starting to really get out of hand." Midnight added before a loud roar could be heard and a Titanic sized Qilin made of lightning poked its head out of the clouds and glared down at Shoto. This made everyone, including even the heroes in the audience, nearly wet their pants.
"This Jutsu is called Kirin." The green haired boy said as he held his hand up. "Come!" He called as the lightning construct roared again.
(Elsewhere)
Meanwhile in the Midoriya house and the hospital Rei Todoroki was in, both mothers were watching their sons at their maximum power.
"Shoto, move!" Rei yelled desperately, praying for her son's survival.
"Izuku, don't go overboard like that!" Inko tried to scold, but failed due to her shock at her son's unbelievable power.
(Elsewhere)
Shoto gasped as he stared at the giant lightning monster that was right above him as he tried to crank his power to its absolute maximum. So he could at least survive this match.
"What does Midoriya think he's doing?! He'll kill Todoroki!" Iida gasped.
"Such is the nature of the bloodthirsty Uchiha." Katsuki said.
Back in the stands, Endeavor was watching while the rain fell on him, trying to stay stoic during the ordeal before him, despite the fact that his child was very near getting clobbered.
'If Shoto loses this match, I will applaud him for lasting this long.' He thought. 'And maybe treat him to a feast.' He added as an afterthought. He wasn't dumb; he knew he was on bad terms with his son, but he wasn't stupid enough to ignore his son's ability to survive a devastating attack.
Oh, and he would get him some therapy. One doesn't survive a lightning strike and not get some form of trauma.
"Now, be gone with the thunderclap." Izuku said as he brought his hand down, causing the Kirin to crawl into the clouds again with a roar—before it struck down at the two toned boy right as he used ice and fire to try and block it with Cementos also making a dome around him, resulting in a HUGE explosion.
Everyone shielded their faces as typhoon-force winds blew against them, debris also flying everywhere with most flying out of the stadium. In the announcer's booth, both Present Mic and Eraserhead immediately took cover as the windows shattered from the force of the wind. In the arena, Midnight and Cementoss were sent flying from their posts with the former crashing against a wall.
"What… The hell… Is your problem Class A?!" Monoma from 1-B questioned as he yelled at the kids after a long tense silence. "What do you guys have to be so over the top every time you do something?! Are you that egotisti—!" He started ranting before Kendo knocked him out.
"Shut up, Monoma!" She growled. There was another tense silence as the smoke cleared to show a destroyed arena, an unconscious and out of bounds Shoto, and Izuku—who managed to keep himself from going out of bounds by his back hitting one of his stone walls. Midnight groaned as she got up, examining the situation.
"Ugh… Due to… the mother of all ring-outs… Izuku Midoriya of Class 1-A wins!" The R-Rated announced before she collapsed again. "Ooohhhh, I need a break…" She groaned.
Izuku breathed heavily as he deactivated his eyes and wobbled a bit, his chakra reserves being very depleted at this point.
"And… Done." He said, before he collapsed on the ground, unconscious as well.
(Later)
Izuku and Shoto groaned as they both woke up after falling unconscious from their match.
"Oh man, that was rough…" Izuku sighed as he sat up.
"You said it…" Shoto groaned as he woke up. Both of them noticed they were in the infirmary, which honestly didn't surprise them. After the fight they just had, this was an expected outcome.
"Ah, good. You're both awake." Recovery Girl spoke up, and sitting in another chair was Endeavor himself.
'Why is he here?' The two toned teen wondered, thinking it was probably to voice his disappointment. He watched as his father walked over to him, and when he spoke, he didn't expect what was said.
"You lost… But frankly, I'm not even surprised." The man stated with a sigh as he pulled up a chair and sat next to his son's bed. "I wanted you to win, yes… But I'm not going to allow myself to be displeased after what I witnessed." He continued, and Shoto was getting a little confused.
"Why, exactly?" He asked. He had an idea of the answer, but needed to hear his father say it.
"Because it's clear to me that Midoriya is a superior comrade in terms of power." Enji replied. "His use of Kirin, a Shinobi lightning strike, proves this to me." He added. "So that being said, I refuse to ignore your ability to survive such a thing, not that I could to begin with." He continued before an out of place (to Shoto) look of concern appeared on the man's face. "But if you feel some form of trauma from the ordeal, I will arrange for therapy sessions." He told his son.
"... I think I'll take those therapy sessions." The two toned teen sighed. Whether it was intentional or not, and more than likely wasn't, Izuku had given him some form of fear with the Kirin attack. He didn't notice it in the fighting, but now that the adrenaline stopped flowing, it was clear that he'd need to see a therapist to sort through it.
"Ehehe. Sorry, my bad." Izuku chuckled nervously, realizing he went overboard there.
"I won't hold it against you." Shoto told him.
(Later)
After getting healed up , Izuku went back to the stands to see that the arena had been repaired, and then turned to see Iida walking towards him.
"Midoriya, congratulations on your match." The bespectacled boy smiled as he approached his friend.
"Oh, hey Iida. Thanks." The Uchiha nodded as he leaned on the rail. "I do apologize for the maximum theater overkill, though." He added with a sheepish chuckle.
"It was rather harrowing, you're right." Tenya nodded as they headed to their seats. "Though it seems like Bakugo is having a difficult time again." He noted as they turned to the match.
It was Katsuki against Kirishima this time, and both of them were using their Bijuu cloaks to improve their respective performances. The Four Tails Jinchuriki actually had the bomber on the defensive.
"Kacchan's on the defense here too? Wow." Izuku nodded as the match kept moving on.
It seemed like the hardening teen would win, but before anyone could think so, Katsuki suddenly turned it around and pelted the redhead with explosion after explosion before ending it with a literal bang. Kirishima laid there defeated, which was to be expected since Katsuki had a lot more power under his belt.
"Come on, Kirishima! I thought you had more guts than this!" Tetsutetsu called.
"Poor Kirishima…" Izuku winced at the aftermath as Iida stood up. "Be careful out there, okay Iida?" He questioned.
"Don't worry, Midoriya." The bespectacled speedster told him. "I already found my ideal Shinobi art." He added with a smirk as he went down to the arena. Across from him stood Kaminari.
"No hard feelings about who wins, right Iida?" The Lightning Style user said, cracking knuckles.
"Of course." Tenya nodded in reply.
"BEGIN!" Present Mic exclaimed, starting the match. The speedster quickly went through some hand signs just a second ahead of his opponent.
"Swift Release: Breath of the Wind!" Tenya exclaimed before, faster than anyone–even Izuku–could track, he was behind Kaminari before he used his quirk to push him out of bounds.
However, Kaminari–to his credit–saw this coming. "Not so fast, Iida." He stated, his body cracked with lightning, and stopped himself from moving by digging his feet into the ground in divots the force of his power created. "Lightning Style: Lightning Body!" He growled as his body became slightly more robust.
He then grabbed the speedster by the waist–and suplexed him out of bounds.
"Iida is out of bounds via suplex! Kaminari moves onto the next round!" Midnight announced as the audience cheered, but there was a good number of people wincing at the suplex the Iida teen had been subjected to.
"Ouch." Sero winced. "I honestly didn't expect that to happen." He added.
"*Ribbit* Neither did any of us." Tsuyu stated, also wincing a bit.
"..." Jiro, meanwhile, was just staring at what she just saw. 'HOW?!' She thought in shock.
(Later)
Himiko sighed as she stood up and stretched. "Well, I'm off." She sighed. "Wish me luck." She smiled as she kissed Ochako and Izuku on the cheek as she left.
"Good luck." The two smiled.
When she reached the arena, she saw Tokoyami was already there. Both of them stood there, the blonde grinning at him.
"Sorry, Tokoyami, but I'm afraid this is the end of the line for you." Himiko stated, hip cooked sassily.
"Let us see if you're strong enough to prove that claim." The Shadow Style user retorted as Dark Shadow came out.
"BEGIN!" Present Mic exclaimed, starting the match. Himiko was on the offensive instantly, Matatabi's chakra covering her limbs as she struck Dark Shadow, the living quirk crying out in pain from the intensity of the flames.
"Try and block this!" She yelled as she threw three kunai at the boy, and attached to them were three "flash bomb" tags. When they went off, Dark Shadow let out a shriek of agony.
"The light! It's too much!" The living quirk shrieked as Himiko pressed her attack.
"Whoa, Himiko's got Tokoyami on the defensive." Sato noted.
"Is there a weakness that we're not seeing here?" Sero wondered.
"Fire Style: Majestic Lion's Roar!" The cat girl yelled as she shot her signature Jutsu at her opponent, blowing him into the air, and allowing him to kick him into the ground with an ax kick.
The bird-headed teen groaned as he tried to get up before he was pinned by the Two Tails Jinchuriki, who looked down on him with a smirk.
"You knew about my weakness… didn't you…?" He groaned.
"Not at first. I figured it out based on the reactions Dark Shadow gave when anything bright was used on him." The cat-like girl grinned. "Ready to give up yet?" She asked, a kunai at the ready.
"I… surrender." Tokoyami conceded reluctantly.
"Tokoyami has surrendered! Toga moves onto the next round!" Midnight declared, causing the audience to cheer.
"Way to go, Himiko!" Ochako exclaimed, Izuku giving her a thumbs up.
(Later)
The next around started and now Izuku and Kaminari were standing across from each other as a ninja tune started playing, their headbands flapping in the wind….
"Yooooooooo!" A familiar yell rang out in the air. The two classmates paid it no mind though.
"BEGIN!" Present Mic exclaimed, cutting through the tension. Kaminari acted first.
"Lightning Style: Lightning Body!" He yelled as he blasted towards Izuku at 1/1000 of a second, delivering a powerful body blow to the boy's stomach.
"AGH!" Izuku gagged as he was sent flying back before he caught himself just in time to avoid another blow. The veridian haired Shinobi quickly retaliated with a kick to the stomach followed up by a right hook to the face.
He then started making several hand seals before clapping them together. "Wood Style: Deep Forest Emergence!" He yelled.
"And there's Hashirama Senju's famous Jutsu." Aizawa noted as trees overtook the arena. "I can see what he's doing: lightning can't travel through wood, so Midoriya is limiting Kaminari's effectiveness." He added.
In the stands, Tsuyu watched with mild interest. Her mind was more focused on the three way relationship between Izuku, Ochako and Himiko. Instead of jealousy, she felt worried that the two girls would get jealous of each other and start fighting. Himiko looked at her and spotted the look in her eyes, so she decided to address it.
"Something on your mind, Tsu?" She asked, causing the frog girl to almost jump… Pun not intended.
"Huh?" Tsuyu blurted out before the cat-eyed blonde's words registered. "Oh. Sorry. Yeah, I'm kinda worried about the relationship you and Ochako have with Izuku. *Ribbit*" She replied.
"About us possibly fighting over him, right?" Himiko guessed, getting a nod in return. "Well don't be. All three of us care about and love each other deeply. We refuse to allow ourselves to be jealous of each other." She added. "It also helps that our relationship is an open one." She continued with a smirk.
"Wait, what?" The frog girl uttered, doing a double take.
Himiko then leaned in and nuzzled her amphibious friend's cheek with hers. "It means we're not opposed to having other girls join us. Besides, Izuku's stamina is really high and it gets better the more he trains. So we need all the help we can get to keep him satisfied." She purred.
"*R-R-Ribbit…*" The frog girl croaked, her face flushed. The seed had been planted, and only needed time to grow.
Back with the two fighters…
Izuku went into the trees and bounced around Kaminari as his opponent looked around, and then made more hand signs.
"Ninja Art: Multi Shadow Clone Jutsu!" He exclaimed as he created four clones, who flickered away to try and blitz their opponent.
"Oh crap, this is gonna suck!" Kaminari gulped before his instincts screamed at him, prompting him to punch a Shadow Clone that tried to attack him from behind and make it go poof. He then found himself having to pop clone after clone as he was assailed relentlessly by the Uchiha's duplicates.
"And now you're mine!" Izuku yelled as he leapt down from the other trees, his hand crackling with lightning Chakra. "Chidori: A Thousand Birds!" He yelled.
"Oh crap!" Kaminari yelped as he dodged the Jutsu, but it was still able to graze him, leaving a wound on his side that hurt like hell. "Damn, that smarts!" He hissed as he clutched his wound and looked at Izuku, who had created more clones to surround him. "Alright, that's it! Indiscriminate Shock: 1.3 million volts!" He yelled as he sent electricity at the clones, causing them to disappear.
"Oh jeez…" Izuku groaned as Kaminari blasted towards him with his Lightning Body boosted by his quirk. "No choice here! Susano'o!" He exclaimed, and a ribcage made of green chakra formed around him right as Kaminari swung a fist at him, stopping him cold.
"What the– Huh?!" The electric teen gasped in shock.
"What the?! What's that?!" Present Mic exclaimed in shock as the Ribcage became visible to… basically everyone.
"I actually don't know!" Aizawa replied with wide eyes as he looked at the defensive construct. Katsuki, however…
'So the nerd managed to get his Susano'o. Fighting him is gonna be difficult knowing that.' He thought as he watched the match.
"Agreed. There's no telling what other tricks he may have lined up." Kuramma commented.
Back with the two boys, Izuku's ribcage construct then slowly started forming a top section of a skeleton–skull and all–causing Kaminari to slowly back up… and then two arms appeared.
"Oh no…"The blonde gulped before a hand reared itself back and backhanded him all the way into the Class 1-A stands with him screaming the whole way. "AAAHHH HO HO HO HOOOIII!" He yelled.
"Spooky scary skeletons send shivers down your spine~! Shrieking skulls will shock your soul, seal your doom tonight~!" Matatabi sang in Himiko's head, making her nearly jump out of her skin.
'Don't do that!' She scolded her tenant, who just laughed in response. After a second, Kaminari ended up colliding with Jiro, causing her to grunt.
"Oof!" The punk rocker grunted. After shaking her head clear of cobwebs, she looked up and paused when she saw Kaminari knocked out and… laying on top of her, much to her embarrassment. "Uh… little help?" She requested.
Katsuki sighed as he got up and pushed Kaminari into his seat. "Don't make this a regular thing, ears." He told her.
"I keep telling you! Stop calling me that!" She snapped.
"Who's gonna make me?" Kurama's Jinchuuriki retorted, causing her to growl in annoyance.
"Uh… winner by ring out, Izuku Midoriya!" Midnight exclaimed after snapping out of her stupor. "Where did Kaminari go, by the way?" She asked as the trees receded.
"I sent him into my class' stands." The green haired teen replied, getting a nod in return.
(Later)
The final round of matches for this particular bracket involved Himiko and Katsuki. And just like with Ochako, Izuku wasn't too worried, but he was still reasonably concerned.
"Be careful out there." The boy told his shared girlfriend.
"Don't worry, hun. I will." The cat eyed girl replied before pecking him on the lips for luck and going to the arena.
Himiko sighed as she stretched after getting out of her waiting room for her next match. A cat-like yawn escaped her lips as she readjusted her ponytail, before a voice spoke in her head.
"You seem awfully relaxed, have you forgotten who we're going up against?" Matatabi, the Two Tailed cat, questioned her Jinchuruki.
'Nope, and quite frankly, stressing out over it won't do anything for me.' The shapeshifter replied.
"What an airheaded statement… But I guess I can't really argue with that, can I?" The Fire cat yawned as the girl walked towards the arena.
As they stepped onto the stadium floor, Katsuki met them as well, and the two Jinchuruki glared at each other angrily.
'I still have to get him back for what his Explosion Armor did to Ochako's arm.' The blondie thought as she started to grow cat-like claws on her hands.
"I'm amazed you made it this far." Katsuki commented as he popped his neck.
"Well someone's gotta fight you after what you did to Ochako." The cat eyed girl shot back.
"Isn't Deku moving up to the next round?" The blondie retorted.
"... Shit, can't believe I forgot about that." She hissed as the match was called. Quickly, Katsuki summoned two Shadow Clones, who then took to either helping him create an Explosion Release Rasengan or charge straight for the boy's opponent, blasting himself forward with his quirk.
Himiko narrowly managed to evade the charging bomber's clone, who kept trying to attack her and kept her on the defensive.
"Damn it, gotta figure something out here!" The girl said as she skid to a halt before she recalled that Matatabi and Izuku helped her learn Fire Release. "Right! Here we go! Fire Style: Mighty Lion's Roar!" She intoned as she let out a loud yell that took the form of a lion made out of Fire, which charged straight for the clone.
"Oh fuck all the way off." The clone deadpanned before being destroyed by the attack. Skidding in a crouch Himiko smirked as she looked at Katsuki again, who now had his prepared Explosion Release Rasengan ready, but now was starting to add more rotation to it, making it take the form of a large green orb with orange windmill blades spinning around it. Like a shuriken!
"Hey Kit kat, chew on this! Explosion Style: Rasenshuriken!" The boy called as he hurled the projectile at her. This new development caused everyone's eyes to widen in horror, since many knew about the fact that a regular Rasenshuriken could slice someone apart at the cellular level. So one could only imagine the damage that an explosion version could cause!
'Kacchan, you idiot! Are you trying to murder someone?!' Izuku thought with a look of immense concern for his girlfriend.
'Son of a bitch! Matatabi, I need an emergency assist!' Himiko thought as she tried to find a way to handle the situation.
Immediately after, Himiko's ponytail came undone as she was covered with blue chakra and gained a pair of blue tails, as well as some sort of long sleeve jacket. It was like some sort of chakra mode!
Acting with catlike reflexes, the shapeshifter jumped over the giant spinning death ball before spinning around herself and delivering a kick so powerful that it sent the projectile right back to sender!
"Oh shit!" The boy gasped as he charged up a large explosion backhanded his own attack over his shoulder, causing it to collide and explode right into a wall, causing it to form a big hole.
"That was a long range attack, Katsuki, what's the matter? Afraid to fight me up close?" Himiko asked, still in her chakra cloaked state.
"Like hell I am!" Katsuki roared back as he kept attacking her. The two kept getting into a sort of deadly tango as they exchanged blows, with the girl forcing her opponent to enter his Nine Tails Cloak state as well, which seemed to match her when it reached three Tails stage one.
But she wasn't done, she kept taunting him as he kept failing to land a single blow, and the final straw seemed to be when the smoke cleared away and the boy could see Himiko sticking her tongue out at him and flipping him off with both hands. Bakugo leapt forward, using explosions to rocket himself faster.
"DIIIIIE!" He roared, only for the copycat girl to jump before he could land and used her arms and legs to trap him in a full bear hug.
"Make me." She purred as their chakra mixed together before she sank her teeth into the boy's neck and drank some of his blood.
Katsuki roared as he and Kurama used the three tails to force her off, but it was too late. Himiko had already gotten out of her chakra form and swallowed the blood, which allowed her to transform into the boy in front of her. Furious by this ridiculous parody of himself, Bakugo roared as he entered four tails stage two and charged at his opponent, which made Himiko's eyes widen in shock.
Her shock was soon replaced with pain as she was nailed in the stomach by an explosion powered punch, which was followed up by several tail swipes and a head slam. Rolling to the ground, the blonde tried to get up again, but Katsuki was too quick, getting on top of her again, he started slamming her face—which still looked like his—into the pavement, giving the other students of 1-A flashbacks of how Nomu brutalized Aizawa.
"Damn it, this has gotten out of hand!" Mina cursed as Himiko was continually beaten within an inch of her life.
"I'm inclined to agree." Tenya nodded in worry for Himiko.
'Please let there be an intervention!' Izuku mentally prayed, wanting this horrible image to stop.
However, it would seem such intervention wouldn't be needed, as Katsuki suddenly stopped to pull Himiko up to his eye level as the disguise was slowly starting to slosh off of her. The Jinchuruki opened his mouth as he began to form a tailed Beast bomb in front of her face—and she suddenly gave him an almost evil smile, as if feeling exhilarated by the idea of almost dying.
"Hasta la vista, baby." She grinned as her face was half his and half hers, before she raised her hand to his face and it started to glow orange before…
KABOOM!
She suddenly shot a massive explosion out of her palm directly into Katsuki's face and stopped the Bijuudama from being formed! She was using his quirk!
"D… did I just see that correctly?!" Present Mic shouted with wide eyes as he looked on at the scene. "It looks like Toga is using Bakugo's quirk against him!" He continued.
"Her quirk is evolving." Aizawa noted. "It's been theorized that strong emotional stress or the threat of imminent death can cause a person's power to change." He continued. "And it would seem that Toga has undergone such a transformation."
Katsuki staggered back as his senses became clearer and he was able to return to stage one again. Upon seeing what Himiko could now do, he grinned.
"Nice trick, copycat, but I'd be more careful about where you're standing if I were you." He told her before snapping his fingers, causing clay spiders and beetles to leap out of the ground and latch onto her before blowing up.
Himiko grunted as she was peppered by explosions and barely managed to evade a surprise attack from Katsuki before she found a window to catch her breath.
'Whew, that was definitely something else.' She thought as sweat ran down her brow. Her disguise soon sloshed off, which meant that she couldn't use his quirk anymore.
"Looks like you're all out of tricks." The boy stated as he got ready to attack again.
"Looks like it–." She nodded before smirking as she suddenly body flickered away from view, and then delivered a jumping ax kick to Katsuki's face.
"AGH!" The boy grunted as he staggered back, holding his face. He shook his head clear of cobwebs before he charged at his fellow Jinchuuriki.
Himiko grinned as she entered a ballet stance and gracefully dodged each and every one of Bakugo's wild attacks–even landing a backflip handstand kick to the boy's chin before rolling out of the way… revealing that her shoe had a foot blade in it.
Katsuki touched his face and noticed he was bleeding again, and that his fellow blonde seemed… Unusually aroused at the sight of it and the blood on her knife as she drank it–again assuming his shape.
"Like that'll help you! I'm ready this time!" Katsuki yelled.
Himiko then lunged at him again, using his quirk to propel herself, only for a clay spider to latch itself to her shoulder.
"Katsu." The boy intoned as the small explosion blew her off course, allowing him to leap on top of her, just in time for the copycat to launch both of them into the sky.
"Whoa! Look at them go!" Sero exclaimed as he and the rest of his class watched the two Jinchuuriki fly.
Up in the air, the two kids were currently in the middle of doing a show of mid air Taijutsu as they rapidly fell towards the ground.
"Sorry, Katsuki, but I'm afraid this is the end for you!" The cat girl growled as she blasted herself close to him and grabbed him by the throat–her disguise slowly slothing off and flying rapidly as they fell.
"Like hell it is!" Katsuki yelled back before landing a kick on her face, forcing her to release him. Once he was free, he grabbed Matatabi's host and threw her towards the ground, firing off an explosion to increase the force.
"Oh shit!" Himiko shouted with wide eyes as she hit the ground face first, a cloud of dust kicking up as Katsuki landed and his feet, but with slight stress fractures due to the impact.
After a bit, the dust cleared up and Himiko was seen trying to get back to her feet, but the impact really messed her up and made her collapse into unconsciousness.
"Winner by knockout, Katsuki Bakugo!" Midnight announced, causing the audience to cheer.
Up in the stands, Ochako, Izuku and the rest of the girls all winced–right as Iida came back from the infirmary.
"What did I miss?" He asked.
"Kacchan and Himiko just finished their match." Izuku replied. Then the speedster started vibrating violently, freaking everyone out.
"Wh-what's wrong?!" Ochako yelped.
"Nothing. It's just my phone." The blue haired runner replied as he took his phone out of his pocket, which relieved everyone a bit. "Excuse me, I need to take this." He added before walking away from everyone.
"Wonder what that's all about?" Izuku questioned, Ochako shrugging as Himiko was brought to Recovery Girl. "I better get ready for my match." He sighed as he got up, but not before kissing Ochako on the lips deeply for a few seconds. "Be sure to share that with Himiko when she gets back, alright?" He smiled.
"You got it." The gravity girl chuckled before her green haired lover went to the arena.
(Later)
Izuku and Katsuki squared off against each other as the arena turned quiet, the wind blowing around them as they glared daggers at each, while Mic had introduced them seconds before.
'If he can use Susano'o, we're going to need something to combat that.' The blonde thought.
"Don't worry. I've got just the thing." Kurama replied.
'He's going to pay for what he did to Himiko and Ochako.' Izuku thought, cracking his knuckles.
The two then got into stances as similar chimes and tones sounded as the prelude to the match starting reached its climax of tension–Izuku activating his standard Sharingan.
"Yooooooooo!" *dun dun*
"Match–BEGIN!" Mic yelled, causing the two boys to launch forward like released tense springs.
This was gonna be good.
Dragon Emperor0: Jesus, if the battle between Ochako and Katsuki was overkill, then what do you call this? Absurdity?
ThermalsniperN7: A lot of this stuff was written months ago in advance since we couldn't get it out of our heads at the time, so we're sorry if certain parts seem lackluster.
Dragon Emperor0: To be fair, this chapter was kind of prompted on the seat of our pants out of weekend boredom so… What can ya do?
ThermalsniperN7: True. And Himiko has gone out of her way to plant the seed of desire in Tsuyu's mind, so expect her to join the harem in the future. Then there's Izuku backhanding Kaminari into the Class 1-A stand… Talk about calculating pimp-slapping.
Dragon Emperor0: He's lucky that he didn't backhand Kaminari into space Power Rangers style. Anyway guys, stay tuned for the big finale of the Sports festival arc. It's gonna be quite a hoot.
