Rise of the Hero
Chapter 7: New Allies
That next morning found Gohan standing at the entrance of his gravity chamber. The light of the sun poured on his face and slowly spreading its warm light all over his body. Inhaling from his nose, exhaling through his mouth, he can feel the fresh air filling his chest before he started to walk out of his gravity chamber.
It had been three days since he decided to stay on that chamber which he placed in a small uninhabited island far from the city. Due to the investigation the police did in the pub a few days ago, he had to look for another place to stay. But because he had no money, he can't rent a hotel or an apartment, so he decided to live in this small island, at least until he get his payment for the hero job and being a teacher. Luckily, his gravity chamber was meant to be a space ship at first, so there're rooms for him to sleep and even take a shower there.
Tsukauchi actually offered him some help to lend him money when he knew Gohan lived in that place, but the Saiyan resisted the offer, he didn't want to trouble his friend even more after what happened three days ago. Tsukauchi had been through a hard time, losing his long last friends and still blaming himself for not being able to protect them, but on the other side he had no time to grieve as he need to conduct advanced investigation about the killers who murdered his friends.
Gohan knew exactly what Tsukauchi was feeling, he had been there before, blaming himself for the death of his father, the mighty Goku. He sacrificed himself to protect the world and his beloved son from a monster who threatened to destroy the whole galaxy.
Putting that thought aside, Gohan decided to walk around the small island as he observed the surrounding. Just like what he felt the first time he found this place, he couldn't feel any presence from other people here. The reason for that was because only animals lived in this island, which became another reason for him to choose this place, he can hunt the animals on this island for food.
While he was walking around the island, a loud grumble from his stomach came to his ears, gave him the signal to find a food for breakfast. And so he did as his stomach wanted, starting the hunt and looked for some fruits.
In the end, he caught a dozen of fishes, a deer, and some fruits for his breakfast. The only problem was that, he wasn't a good cook like his mom or Videl [1], and he couldn't find any seasonings in his chamber. So the only thing he can do was to make a fire place and roast the animals he caught, just like what he did when he was under Piccolo's training.
Though the food didn't had any flavour, for a hungry Saiyan like him it didn't really matter as long as he can eat and get full. He can control his appetite just like any normal human, but right now he thought it was best for him to eat like how Saiyans usually ate. Besides, there was no one on this island except those animals, so no need to mind his manners.
The food he had for breakfast maybe enough to feed a whole class in UA, but a hungry Saiyan like him would devour those food in just a few minutes. And just like that, after a few minutes of swallowing those food, yes swallowing, he didn't chew his food, he swallowed it directly after it went in to his mouth, now he finally done with his breakfast.
Gohan took a rest for a while before he went inside the gravity chamber to get a shower and get ready. And when he was done, he stored the chamber in the capsule, to put it on his pocket.
Then he pressed the red button on his watch, putting his Saiyaman suit on, minus the helmet of course. After the last fight, his hero costume were ripped on some parts, but once it was restored on his watch again, it get fixed to look like before it was ripped. Thanks to the technology on that watch, it can repair and fix any broken parts of the costume as long as the damage wasn't too bad.
That was why his helmet couldn't be fixed, it was broken into two and couldn't even be restored to the watch again. So to replace his helmet, he wore a white bandanna on top of his head that covered most of his hair and a glasses to cover part of his face, the other part of his hero costume was still the same like before.
Gohan started to ascend slowly from the ground and flew to the city. In his flight, he felt nervous yet so excited at the same time, the reason for that was because today was his first day to work at UA. Even though a lot of events happened lately, he'd never forget about this day, the Monday that he had been waiting for.
Cannot wait to quickly get into UA, he sped up his flight breaking the sound barrier and creating a hissing noise like a jet splitting the sky.
Meanwhile, on another side of Japan, in Kamino, a large town in Yokohama with many inhabitants and businesses. Various buildings with different styles stood tall, decorating the city. The busy traffic down the street showed how alive this city was.
But, in a quite remote area of that town, inside one of the abandoned buildings, a villain group consisted of the galactic most wanted criminals, tried their best to control their other worldly power so that one particular hero wouldn't find them. The memories of that night when they fought a hero in a green and black costume, in a small uninhabited island three days ago still clear in their minds. The realization of having no chance in winning, hit them like a bucket of cold water.
The most muscular of the three, Bojack, who stood behind the window looking down at the street outside, gritted his teeth and clenched his fists when he remembered that fight.
"We can't stay like this forever." One of them said as he knew what was going on his boss' mind. "We need to go find more information about the orb."
That man, who turned out to be Bido successfully took the attention of the other two. Bojack, still standing near the window, while the only female in the group, Zangya, sitting on one side of the room, both had their face directed at Bido who started the conversation.
On the fight three days ago, the capsule of house they took from Gohan was destroyed and now the three of them been staying on that abandoned building for the last three days.
They had abandoned their former human appearances, and had their true appearances of the Hera race, with those pointy ears, teal skin, and orange hair as their form. All of them had muscular figure, but Bido and Bojack stood out more in terms of physical built as both of them reach two and a half metres in height, added with all those massive and defined muscles in every parts of their bodies. As for Zangya, she wasn't as tall and as big as the two, but she definitely had more muscles and taller compared to when she was in Emi's human form.
"We all know that's the plan, but how are we going to start?" Zangya asked as she started to stand up. "Do you have any info about where the orb is?"
What she said was true, to find that orb wouldn't be as easy as it sound. Earth was a big planet, maybe not the biggest out there, but to find an orb with the size of a Namekian's dragonball in this planet, was like looking for a single needle in a haystack, or perhaps with all these heroes around, it was more like looking for a straw in a pile of needles. It will take a really long time to find it.
Moreover, the orb didn't fell to this planet like a meteor, the three of them were teleported to this earth when they tried to escape prison planet using the orb's teleportation. But when they got here, the three of them were separated from each other and landed on different places in Japan. Then using the small amount of energy they had, they met up in Musutafu, the place where Bojack happened to be teleported. He telepathically ordered the other two to meet him there, but oddly, none of them had the orb.
They assumed probably because they can't control the orb's power and slowly losing their energy, it then separated them. That could also be the reason on why they got teleported to this planet out of all places. Considering that the orb can't teleported itself without user, they assumed it probably just landed on a different place but still in this earth.
Since then, they had been trying to find that orb. At first their goal was to find it and get away from this earth, but when they realized that this planet's inhabitants weren't as powerful as them, Bojack changed their plan and intended to use the orb to take over this world. Besides, their home planet's was destroyed and they were roaming the space as space pirates, taking over planets, took all its gold and treasure, until they got caught by the galactic patrol.
Now that they were free, they'd need to find a new place to live. And with that orb, they can create barrier on this planet to protect them from the galactic patrol, and using this planet as their home. That was what they thought at first, before that Saiyan brat came and ruined everything. Now they'd need to use that orb to defeat him first.
It was the only option if they wanted to win against him, Dragon Orb can absorb the energy of the inhabitants of this planet and transferred those energy to the user. Just like those guards did in prison planet, they used it to absorb the energy of the prisoners and transferred those energy to the guards to increase their power, that way, they can handle the prisoners [2].
"I don't have any info on it, but we can't just stay like this." Bido responded as then soon followed by silence before he continued. "Wait... last night, when I was patrolling around, I sensed evil energy from some men."
The story piqued the interests of Bojack and Zangya as they looked at him to hear more about it. It wasn't strange to find people with evil energy in this world, there were quite a lot of super powered criminals on this planet. In fact, in these late three days, the new hero Saiyaman already captured more than twenty criminals.
They were all caught either in action or before they could do it, it was all thanks to his perception ability, Saiyaman can sense the energy of the people around him, including their evil energy and intention, as long as they weren't too far from him. That wasn't without reason, Gohan needed to get closed and concentrated on his perception was because he used to feel the evil energy from monsters like Frieza who would wipe out a whole planet without second thought. A heartless monster like him would have a wicked energy that can be felt from the earth's atmosphere, even Cell's energy can be felt from other planet. That was why he needed to get close and focus in order to feel the energy from people in this world.
"I followed where they went, to see what they about to do, and on the way, I heard they talked about a villain organization or something like that." Bido continued, trying to remember the memory from last night.
That of course took the attention of the other two Heras. A villain organization, they could use them for their advantages to fight the heroes and gather more info about certain mysterious object.
It wasn't a bad idea to have people from this world to help them, besides, the quirk of the people here were unique, for a Saiyan like Gohan who mostly fought opponents with brute strength, wouldn't expected to fight people capable of unique abilities. With the right combination of quirks they could at least confuse him in a fight. That was what Bojack thought.
"You know more about it?" Bojack asked with that deep tone of voice and serious expression.
"I happened to see them entered a bar located a few blocks from here. I didn't follow them inside, but I felt more evil energy from that place, it was probably the place where they gather."
"Take us there." It took him a few moments to respond, but Bojack knew this could be a good chance for them. These villains can be used to keep the Saiyan and the police busy, while giving them time to gather info to find the orb.
Same with him, the other two didn't asked anything on why he wanted to go to that place, they already knew what their boss thought of this villain group. With that the three left the building, and Bido led their way to that bar he talked about.
After a few seconds of flying, they've reached the location and landed in the front door of the bar. The three of them can feel it, some evil energy emitted from inside. Bido opened the door and was the first to step inside, followed by the other two.
"We haven't opened yet." Said a figure who was cleaning a beer glass behind the bar table as soon as he heard the door was opened and some footsteps came in. That figure's entire body covered in dark mist, or perhaps it was made out of dark mist, safe for his eyes which were glowing gold. He was wearing an elegant suit with a tie and had a metal brace that goes from around his collarbone to just below his eyes.
Even though that man said that the bar hadn't opened yet, there were already some people there, drinking and smoking cigarettes. Judging from their energy, these people probably weren't normal customers but the members of the villain group.
"I'm sorry, but we haven't-" That mist figure tried to ask the new customers to leave as he began to turn to look at them, and was surprised when he saw the three guests that just entered.
Those three had a very unique and similar appearances towards each other, he quickly assumed the three were probably related by blood, but what really surprised him was the physical appearances of the two massively muscular men who came in through that small door of his bar.
But that wasn't the only thing that put the mist figure frozen on the spot. Somehow, the presences of the three felt so intimidating, he even felt hard to breathe for a moment.
It wasn't the first time for him to meet people with strong intimidation of course, as he also work with some strong and sinister villains, but, the presences of these three was even greater than that of All Might. He cannot sense energy and power level, but for a second there, when the saw those three, he can feel the other worldly power that could crush him anytime.
The other people inside that bar also felt the same with the dark mist figure, they couldn't move a single muscle of their body, eyes opened wide looking at the new customers, a drop of cold sweat streamed down their temple.
"What's wrong Kurogiri?" A slim, pale skin man came out of a room on the corner of the bar, and asked the mist figure who he called Kurogiri. What so disturbing about this pale man was that, he had fourteen embalmed hands all positioned so they were holding onto him in different parts of his body.
"S-Shigaraki Tomura." Kurogiri responded when he heard the pale man asked. He didn't answered the questions, but turned his head to the man and then turned towards the three newcomers again.
Seeing that, Shigaraki Tomura followed the mist figure's gesture and turned his gaze towards the three new guests. And just like any other people there, his eyes opened wide behind that embalmed hand on his face upon seeing their physical built, but most importantly he can feel the strong intimidating aura from them.
Shigaraki and the others might had killed a lot of people, fought against top pro heroes, and even managed to kill some. But compared to those three heartless monsters who spent their lives conquering different planets and killing a whole planet's populations just for fun, all Shigaraki's 'achievements' meant nothing to them.
For a moment, Shigaraki was intimidated and couldn't move a single muscle, but as expected from the leader of a villain group who determined to kill heroes, he quickly shook all those feeling, and turned to face the three with unwavering stare from behind that one embalmed hand on his face.
"What do you want?" He asked with that serious countenance, abandoning his nervous expression from earlier. He wasn't dumb, he was the leader of this villain group for a reason, he knew people like these three were up to something.
"Hoo...? I see you got quite the nerve kid." Bido responded once he heard the question and saw how the pale man staring at him unflinching.
He slowly walked towards Shigaraki, while the other Heras, Bojack went to take a seat in front of the bar table, and took a glass of beer from the customer beside him. And Zangya leaning back against the wall on the side of the entrance with her arms crossed on her chest.
"I don't want to waste time, answer me quick. Where can we find this villains group leader?" Bido asked.
The question brought surprise to everyone on that room. All members of this villain group kept their secret very well, and this group been doing well since it was formed, not even the police suspecting this place. And now, a group of unknown people that had no relation with this organization figured it out.
This of course caused the worry in Shigaraki as the leader, no use for him to deny the question, the shocked faces of the people here already proved it after they heard that question. It'll be dangerous for the group's existence if they were found, moreover, he didn't know these people, they could be an undercover cops or detectives, it'll be better if he annihilates them right there and then.
With that thought in mind, Shigaraki quickly darted at Bido in front of him, which became a clear enough sign for everyone to attack the other two Heras. But, to everyone's surprise, only Bido responded to that attack. He swayed his left hand from front to back, and a powerful gusts of wind blew everything and everyone around, except Bojack and Zangya of course, the two stayed still on their place.
Tables and chairs were blown away by that powerful wind, the people were thrown back hitting the wall, left some cracks on it. Kurogiri also tried to attack, but with that body consisted of mist he couldn't even do anything to get near Bido. The same with Shigaraki, as he had no chance of touching his target and got thrown back hitting the wall behind him.
That strong wind waves lasted for a few seconds, when it was done, most of the people were already unconscious after the monstrous impact with the wall or any other hard objects, while the others struggled to stand up.
Bido walked up to Shigaraki who was sitting on the floor, leaning his back against the wall.
Grunting, feeling the pain on his back from the impact against the wall, Shigaraki watched how Bido slowly walked towards him. When he was closed enough, he saw that muscular arm grabbed his neck, made him hard to breath, and slowly lifted him up from the ground.
Shigaraki quickly used his hands to grab Bido's arm that choked him, all of his fingers managed to touch that massive arm. In Shigaraki's mind, he already won this fight, once those hands of his touched an object, it could disintegrate everything, no matter if the object organic or not, that was his quirk.
The disintegration will spread quickly in the body of the victim if they didn't amputated the decaying part or got away from his touch. That was why no one survived that attack without a scratch, most of his victim would die due to the disintegration or losing too much blood after they amputated the decaying part. So it became his nature to think that he already won the fight every time he touched his opponents, including this fight, or at least that was what he thought.
"What're you doing?" To Shigaraki's surprise, Bido asked with a confused expression when he saw what Shigaraki's hands tried to do to his arm.
It was the first time for the villain leader to see with his eyes, his attack failed to leave any effect on his target. His eyes opened wide behind the hand that covering his face, couldn't believe of what happened in front of him.
The body of the three Hera clan were so strong of course, it was all because they always got stronger after each fights. Every blows the opponents had dealt to them, made their body stronger and harder. Just like how all fighters' bodies became stronger after each fights.
But that wasn't the only reason why Shigaraki's quirk won't work on them, it was because they also had Ki. Just like any Z-fighters, these Heras could survive not only strong physical strikes but also energy or Ki blasts, some Ki blasts even had the power to destroy mountains or even planet in seconds, like Frieza's or Beerus' supernovas for examples. With the help of Ki, they could survive that kind of attacks.
Fighters like them always used their Ki to cover their body, and work it as some kind of barrier [3]. Only people with near, same, or higher level of strength and Ki could harm them, whether with physical attacks or energy blasts. That was why abilities like Shigaraki's wouldn't be able to scratch them.
"I don't know what you're trying to do, but judging from your expression, it didn't work on me." Bido said with evil smile on his face, he tightened his grip on Shigaraki's neck, and slammed the back of his head against the wall behind, creating some cracks on impact.
A little grunt from Shigaraki was heard when Bido slowly pulled him from the wall. Both his hands that grabbed Bido's arm slowly losing its strength, and fall to the side. Shigaraki couldn't hold his breath any longer, he felt his consciousness started to fade away, his visions became blur, but he could slightly see Kurogiri tried to stand up and was about to help him.
"Stop it Bido!"
On the order of his boss, Bido dropped the limp, motionless body of Shigaraki on the floor.
Shigaraki started to cough and taking a deep breath while trying to sit, leaning on the wall. Kurogiri came to his side to help him.
Bojack stood up from his seat and walked up to the still panting Shigaraki. When he reached his range, he looked at the fallen man with an intimidating piercing glance. Shigaraki however, though he felt fear inside, he could still keep his composure, he was the leader of this villain group, he wouldn't show his intimidated side in front of his people.
"Look kid, we're not detectives, nor undercover cops. Just like you, we're tired with all of these hero things in this world. We want to destroy this society and reshape it with our very own form of justice." Bojack knew these people formed villain group because they hated heroes, they wanted them to be erased from this world, with that they'll get their dreamed society where no heroes were around. Using that reason would help him to manipulate this group, besides, he himself wanted to kill this society of heroes before taking control of this world. But befeore he could continue, a voice came to the room, taking attention from everyone.
"Interesting…"
They all turned their head towards the deep voice that came from a small monitor on the glass rack behind the bar table. It suddenly activated and showed a figure of a man whose face was entirely made up of scar tissue, extended from above his lip to cover his entire head. The figure had no visible nose, ears, hair, nor eyes.
"M-master." Both Shigaraki and Kurogiri responded when they heard that voice and saw the figure in that monitor, which also gave the three Heras a clue that this person must be the group's actual leader.
"Kurogiri." The man called, which startled Kurogiri before he answered.
"Y-yes."
"Bring them to me." The man said, as his lips slowly formed a little smirk on his face.
"Oaahhhmm…" As he walked around the school, Gohan yawned pretty loudly while stretching his hands and then placed them to hold the back of his head.
The truth was that, he forgot that he had no class at this hour, and he came to school too early. That was why he felt bored and been wandering around the school since he arrived, he had a few minutes before his class started anyway.
Even though he came here flying in his hero outfit, once he arrived, he discarded it into his watch and wore a more formal suit from the capsule he recently found. He was now wearing a black vest, with dark grey long sleeve shirt underneath, a black pants, and a red tie around his collar, he also put on fighting gloves on both hands [4].
He wore a glasses to help him with his eyes problem [5]. It was true that he was a Saiyan who had an advantage in physical appearance as he would stay in his young adulthood and prime age longer than any human, but that didn't meant he can't get any human's sickness or illness, besides, he was also half human.
He spent his youths to study by reading books and working in front of his computer the whole day, and it eventually affected his eyes. That why he needed glasses to help him with his reading. Though that won't affect his fighting, as he used not only his eyes, but also his ability of perception and a fighter instinct.
After walking around bored for a few minutes, he finally came to a stop when he saw someone familiar. He walked up to that guy who turned out to be All Might in his yellow striped suit. A question came to his mind when he saw the muscular teacher seemed to be peeking out at something from behind the school gymnasium building.
"All Might, what're you doing?" The saiyan asked when he was behind him, which of course startled the number one hero.
"Wh-What!? Oh Son Gohan-san…" Startled at first, he then calmed himself with taking a deep breath when knowing the person who called him.
"S-sorry I startled you… But, what are you doing here?" Gohan asked with his hand scratching the back of his head.
All Might went back to his position and hid behind the gymnasium. Reflexively, Gohan's eyes followed to look at where he had been staring, and found some students doing their class' activity on the school yard.
"I just want to see how young Midoriya's doing…" The blond hero explained.
Now that he saw Midoriya in one of those students, and heard what All Might just said, he understood why All Might was doing that, he remembered that Midoriya was All Might's successor and the new One for All wielder. Now Gohan's also curious on what was happening, besides, he also had the responsibility as the kid's new mentor, even though he hadn't formally introduced himself.
Gohan immediately followed All Might to hide behind that wall, and stood beside him, both had their heads peeked out from the side of the building.
"They're doing some quirk assessment tests." All Might explained.
"Quirk assessment test? On day one?" As a teacher, Gohan was informed that in UA, they didn't had entrance ceremony or school orientation like most other schools when welcoming the new students. One of the things that stood out more from UA beside its position as the number one hero school in Japan, was how unrestricted its school traditions were. The teachers here had full control on how to run their classes.
Perhaps Aizawa sensei was a pretty strict teacher for doing a quirk assessment tests on the first day of school. But what was the worst that could happen? If they failed the tests, they were probably just going to be placed last on the list. Besides, even though Midoriya hadn't fully control his quirk yet, he won't be on the last place right? That was what the saiyan thought until All Might told him.
"Young Midoriya placed last on almost every tests."
BAAMM!
That statement of All Might hit Gohan harder than Bojack's hit as he fell on ground after hearing that. He tried to get up from the ground while All Might only watched him in confused. All his expectations of Midoriya wouldn't be placed last on this test were swayed away by All Might's statement.
Even though Midoriya hadn't yet able to control his power, how could he be on the last place? With all the training he did with All Might, Midoriya should be able to get higher scores in the running and grip test, even without his quirk. But then, when he remembered the name of the test, Gohan understood that this test's goal was to measure how good the students on using and controlling their quirk.
"Young Midoriya hasn't use his quirk at all, the possibility of getting injured after using that quirk prevent him from using it." All Might explained.
With that Gohan understood why he was placed last on this test, the kid hadn't showed the use of his quirk, and if he showed them, the after effects of it could hurt his body and he'd be considered of not being able to control his quirk.
"The main problem is that, Aizawa sensei is known to expel students who he feels aren't suited for UA. And earlier he said he'd expel whoever placed last on this test." The bigger hero continued.
"Wha-what? Are you sure? I mean, maybe he just want these students to give it their all don't you think?" Gohan responded, for him it was unbelievable how a teacher would expel students just because he saw them aren't suited for the school.
"Son Gohan-san, you know how unrestricted UA traditions are, the teachers here also have full control on how they are going to teach their classes. And knowing Aizawa, it isn't impossible if he really expel someone in this tests."
Now Gohan started to think the same way. This could actually happen, Aizawa seems like a teacher who would actually do that, which made him worry for Midoriya. "How many tests left they need to do to see the end result?" Gohan asked.
"This is the last one, soft ball throwing test." Both All Might and Gohan watched carefully the scene of how these students took their turn to throw a softball and saw how far they could throw it.
Finally it was the turn of someone they had been waiting, Midoriya's turn. The two mentors could be seen nervous as a drop of sweat streamed down their temples.
Midoriya was ready on his place. Standing firm, he pulled back his arm where he had the ball, slowly activated his quirk on his entire arm, and was about to throw the ball in full power. Gohan and All Might widened their eyes when they saw and felt Midoriya's quirk was activated. Once he was ready, Midoriya swung his arm to the front, and when the time was right, he released the ball.
He closed his eyes after that throw and waited for his sensei to announce the result. He waited, one second, two, three, but nothing was announced, he decided to open his eyes to see what actually happened.
Unexpectedly, the ball was thrown not that far despite all the power he had to throw it.
A second before Midoriya threw the ball, Gohan and All Might realized it, his power was gone, the intensity of his muscle started to loose, and the energy of One for All dissipated in a second. Somehow, his quirk had been deactivated.
"A-Aizawa Sensei…" All Might said which brought Gohan to face him and find him looking at the black haired sensei on the field.
Gohan followed him to look at Aizawa who had his hair raised and the scarf floating around his neck, his eyes turned red, gazing fiercely at Midoriya.
"He deactivated young Midoriya's quirk…" All Might continued, which of course brought surprise to Gohan's face.
"He has the ability to do that! That is OP!" Gohan thought. But when All Might explained that Aizawa's ability of erasing other's quirk only worked for a certain amount of time, he changed his mind, still op but not that op.
With that, Midoriya ended up getting his quirk removed for a few seconds. Aizawa's explanation for doing it actually made more sense than Gohan had expected. He said that if he let Midoriya used his quirk, he would only end up hurting himself again, and that side effect wasn't suitable for a hero.
As hard for him to admit it, what Aizawa said was true. Gohan had to agree with his decision and explanation. If Midoriya kept on hurting himself when he activated his quirk, he'll only be a burden for others and his body would suffer and eventually got destroyed. He needed to find a way to at least minimalize the destruction from that side effect.
Fortunately, Aizawa gave him one more chance to do the last test, to see if he could find a way to minimalize that side effect and if he was worthy to be in this prestigious hero school.
The same scene happened again where All Might and Gohan watching the green haired kid in nervous as a thick drop of sweat streamed down their temples.
Midoriya started to pull back his arm, closed his eyes, and looked more focussed than the before. The same energy of One for All from earlier could be felt emanated from his body, then it travelled on one point of his body, it was his index finger of the hand in which he held the ball.
Once he was ready, Midoriya swung his arm to the front, and when the time was right, he released the ball with the support of his index finger.
ZAAAAASSS!
He launched the ball into the sky like a rocket, it even created such hissing noise on its way. It was so fast that in the next few seconds the ball was out of sight. Seconds later the beeping noise of the tracker was heard, and the recorded distance showed 705.3 metres. A round of gasps could be heard resonated from the other students. Aizawa, All Might, and Gohan were all surprised on how Midoriya found the solution for his problem.
Unfortunately, the kid ended up breaking his index finger as a result, though it was better than having injured his whole arm had he used all his strength.
After that last throw, a little scene played out as a blonde boy named Bakugo charged at Midoriya while cursing at him. Gohan and All Might couldn't really hear what was happening but fortunately Aizawa handled the problem on his own. Once he was done with the explosive temper boy, he then showed everyone the result of the tests.
The teacher pressed a button on the phone-like device and a holographic screen appeared in front of him, showing the lists of the students based on every tests.
Gohan noticed that Midoriya was placed last on the list, which made his heart sank. He could see the concern look on All Might's face after he saw the result.
But when Gohan was about to comfort All Might, Aizawa spoke up that he lied about the expulsion, which drew confused faces on several students who also freaked out on the revelation. Aizawa explained that he saw that as a rational deception to draw the students' limits of their quirks.
Relieved look immediately came to All Might's face, and Gohan turned at him giving the look that tell 'didn't I tell you?', because the half saiyan already told All Might this all probably just Aizawa's way to drew out these students' power. But despite that, Gohan also felt worried for the kid.
With that, the tests were done, the students went back to the class, and Aizawa walked up to the teachers' room. When he passed the gymnasium building, he realized the two teachers who hid on the side of that building.
"What are you doing?" He asked with a level tone.
"Ah Haha! Yaa Aizawa, you liar!" All Might said as he immediately out from his hiding with a little force and pushed Gohan all of a sudden, which caused the Saiyan to lose a bit of balance and stumbling.
"All Might? Son?" Aizawa said when he saw the two new teachers out from their hiding, still with that emotionless face. "So you were watching. Too much time on your hands?"
"You lied on purpose you said? What's that? April fools already passed a week ago y'know?" All Might continued talking, supported with his hand gesture while Gohan just smiled awkwardly and scratched the back of his head after he regain his balance. "Last year you punished your class by expelling them all." With a serious tone of voice All Might said that, which brought Gohan to disbelieve on what he just heard. The sensei in front of him actually expelled his own students? And not just one or two but a whole class?
"You expelled the students you think had no potential on becoming a hero. For a man like you to eat your words, you must have realised the potential of that boy too don't you?" All Might said as he pointed his finger at Aizawa with his face full of pride remembering how his apprentice passed the test.
"'Too' you seem to be supporting him quite a bit?" At that response, All Might flinched a little for being suspected of supporting a certain student. "Teachers aren't supposed to be like that you know? But I admit, his potential wasn't zero… But that's all it was. Students with no potential would still be expelled. There's no crueller thing than letting a dream end midway." Aizawa continued as he started to walk his way.
Both Gohan and All Might stared at him. As new teachers, they hadn't really know all the teachers here, but they both knew they wouldn't easily get along with this one.
The eraser hero suddenly stopped in his way and caught the attention of the two.
"Son-sensei! Aren't you supposed to be teaching your first class right now?" Aizawa shouted loud enough so the two could hear him but not so loud that he'd disturb the other classes. After that he continued on his way.
"Wha… Oh Crap basket! He's right!" Gohan exclaimed after he slowly turned to his watch and saw the time in it, he then turned to face All Might. "Sorry All Might, gotta go! Bye!" And with his super speed, he dashed to his class, leaving some dusts and leaves blown away and covering All Might entirely as he coughed from all the dusts, yeah, consider that a revenge for pushing him earlier.
After a few hours, it was finally time for the school to end, the first day at UA always ended faster, it was the procedure there, the first day usually just a time for the students to fit in with the school and to find new friends [6]. So the school didn't really wanted to give the students any work from day one knowing it might be too much for them, especially after what they had been through in that entrance exam, well…except for Aizawa of course, the man already threatened his class with expulsion in their first day. As for Gohan, on his first class, he only did simple thing like introduction, and explaining on what they were going to learn from him.
Surprisingly, the first day he taught at UA, he already got quiet popular. Especially among the female students, it was very rare to get a young and rather handsome teacher like him, that probably be the reason for them to like the Saiyan even more. Though some of them turned disappointed when knowing that he was married, but some of them still idolized him as a young and good looking teacher. The bad news though came from the guys, they all seem to envied him and wanted to kill him for stealing all the girls. But Gohan didn't really wanted to dwell on that too much, teenage problem was confusing and troublesome.
After a few chats with other teachers in the teachers' room, he decided it was time for him to go home. He was so hungry, and can't wait to get back on the island to go on a hunt.
But when he stepped out from the school area, he found Tsukauchi standing on the side of the gate and looked like waiting for someone.
"Tsukauchi? What're you doing here?" Gohan asked when he reached the detective.
"Son, I've been waiting for you." He said as he turned to look at the Saiyan. "Here, these are your bank account and ATM card, also your weapon staff and jacket, we've done investigating it." He handed them to Gohan who looked confused. Safe for his jacket and staff, as far as he remembered he hadn't opened any bank account in this world.
Seeing his reaction, Tsukauchi started to explain it. "I opened a bank account using your information from your false identity. Besides, I think you really need to move from that island and stay here in the city. Your progress as a hero is actually impressive, look how much money they gave you for your achievement in the past three days, you could rent an apartment with that, a cheap one."
Gohan opened the passbook he received from Tsukauchi, and what he said was true, they gave him a big amount of money from his hero work. Unfortunately, those money would be wasted to just buy or rent an apartment, but it was still more than enough to pay his food. However, Saiyan ate like animals, those sum of money would probably be spent in just a week for his food only.
But considering what Tsukauchi just said, maybe he'd better to get a place to live in the city. Besides, if they gave this much money for his hero work in only three days, he can easily get more money in the next few days considering how easy it was for him to capture those criminals. As for the food, he can still do some hunting on the wild, it will also be an opportunity for him to go around the world and hunt something new. Like last night, he actually went to the Amazon forest just to hunt and eat dinner.
"Thank you." Gohan said which Tsukauchi responded with a nod and leaving a silence between the two.
It looks like the loss of his friends still haunting the detective, as Gohan could see the sad expression on his face. But that wasn't the only thing he saw… or perhaps he felt. His perception ability detected the anger he sensed from the man in front of him, the anger that he held for not being able to save his friends.
"Uum… hey Tsukauchi, you want to come with me to find a new place for me? Maybe we can get some coffee after that, ...my treat." He wanted to help his friend to forget about the incident three days ago, he wanted Tsukauchi to not feeling guilty about it, even if it was just for a moment. Besides, he might need a guide on finding a nice place with cheap price, so he could save some of his money.
"I'm sorry Son, but I still got work to do."
Without asking any further, Gohan knew that the work he mentioned was about the investigation on the death of his friends, but he didn't wanted to clarify that, it might hurt him more if he said it.
"Alright then, just don't push yourself on your work okay? You deserve a rest." The saiyan responded with face of concern. Tsukauchi just nodded on that and adorned a small smile on his face before he turned his back and walked up to his car.
"Tsukauchi." The police stopped when he heard his friend called him. "I wish I had the right words, but… just know that I care, and I'll be here if you need me."
Tsukauchi looked at him for a few seconds and formed a slight smile before responding the saiyan. "Thank you Son." He then continued walking up to his car and drove away.
In their Boss' secret hideout, Shigaraki and Kurogiri stood in front of the villain group leader who was sitting on his 'throne'.
"M-Master, are you sure it was the right decision?" Kurogiri asked, remembering the discussion earlier with the three Heras about forming an alliance.
However, the villain boss didn't gave any answer, but a smirk that formed on his face which made him looked more menacing than he already was.
All For One, he was considered as Japan's most powerful villain. With his ability to steal quirks, he had collected numerous type of quirks with extensive range of applications, he can combine them as he pleased which made him nigh impossible to defeat.
In his prime, All For One easily defeated powerful pro heroes, proving himself as the unequalled and unstoppable. The ones who can oppose him were the inheritors of One For All, the quirk that All For One inadvertently created, and the only quirk he can't steal [7]. Nevertheless, the Symbol of Evil remained unchallenged until the rise of All Might, the Symbol of Peace.
The bloody fight between the two resulted in All Might succeeded in defeating All For One, forcing him to rely on life support system. But, despite that, All For One was far from weak, he could still single handedly overpowered other powerful pro heroes. That was what made him well respected by Shigaraki and Kurogiri.
But, there was no doubt between the two. Both Kurogiri and Shigaraki felt it earlier, the mighty All For One, the Symbol of Evil, the great villain who killed many powerful pro heroes, and the one who pushed All Might to the limit. That All For One… was intimidated in front of Bojack.
The two noticed it earlier when they brought the three Heras to their secret hideout. The evil energy emitted from Bojack when All For One tried to show his superiority among them. For a split second then, Bojack showed him a feeling he had never felt before, that was the feeling of fear. Bojack showed them, that he was the one who made the rule, and nothing will keep him down, even the mighty All For One.
But, despite being intimidated, he saw this as a great opportunity. His entire life, All For One sought each One For All user and killed them with his overwhelming barrage of quirks. He was undefeated and unstoppable. Until All Might showed up. The hero possessed the necessary strength to challenge him, his existence will be a disturbance for the Symbol of Evil and his plan.
But now, with those three Heras, All Might wouldn't be a problem anymore, they would finally defeated the hero, and no one would be able to stop him. The picture of All Might failed and died on his hand brought a smile on his face, he will once again be the unstoppable All For One and can run his plan without anybody interfering.
Slowly, that small smirk on his face turned into a laughter which grew louder and louder, echoing around the room.
Unknown to him and the league of Villains, the three Heras hid the information about the newcomer hero. The Saiyan warrior who put the three powerful Heras to their knees, a fighter who will be a bigger challenge than thet of All Might or any other heroes they had ever faced, the one who will push them to their limits. The rising hero, and a great Saiyan warrior, Son Gohan.
[1] I remembered the scene in Dragonball Super, where Gohan tried to help Videl who was pregnant with her cooking, and so he tried to cook but failed miserably. That's why I assumed he can't cook.
[2] I don't know anything about prison planet, so I just made it all up.
[3] There was a time when Gohan, Goku, and Vegeta used their ki to cover their body from a poisonous technique in the Tournament of Power.

[5] In the end of Z, and Dragon Ball Super, Gohan often seen wearing a glasses whether he's at work or at home reading books. Which I think is weird because he can see and analyse a fast pace fighting from a far distance but can't read a newspaper in front of him.
