Alternative Part 2 (II)

And another ending instead of the Maria-scene
TW for insanity/mindbreak/-control.

It had been months, you presume. It isn't hard to keep track of time here, the information just... doesn't reach your head as good as usual and sometimes, you stop and realize, that several days have passed and it still feels like a few hours.

Time bleeds into itself, becoming meaningless. On some days, you don't even know, if it's day or night.

You can't tell, if it's day or night, when Sasha declares to not want to go into the Fog again. For a moment, you wonder, why you go in there anyway, but you venture through it still. You'll remember, when you see...something, for sure.

Sasha is betrothed. Living with their partner in one of the villagers' huts. It happened suddenly and something tells you, that you should be upset, but for some reason, you can't do any different than be happy for the couple and wish them many children, like everyone in the village.

Some of the villagers in your age compliment you, showing interest. Something in your head says, screams a muffled no, but the rest of you blushes in modesty.

You still live alone in the guest house. Why? You can't remember the reason. You sit on the bed. You should work. You should find a partner. Having a partner and children pleases the Fog. And...you want to please the Fog, right?

You stand up, intent on getting to work and find a finance right now, but you can't help the strange nagging in the back of your head, as if a tiny person is banging against the walls of their prison.
