"Hey Maka, can you fly a little faster?" Impatiently, Kim asks Maka as the two ride on their brooms of sorts, making their way towards the academy.

"Um it seems to be my limit…" Meekly, Maka smiles shyly.

"Hey Maka, I really don't think your soul perception rather than you is such a big deal to your old man." Soul says to Maka as they fly in the sky, her wings meek but still angelic like to Maka's pleasure.

"What are you talking about? I know that." Maka huffs annoyed.

"And every Meister's goal is to make a death scythe but it's not over once you made one is it?" Soul sighs.

"Of course not. We have to save Kid and then there are a lot of other things to do. " Maka smiles softly at the tasks ahead.

"I don't seem to be that ready though." Soul furrows his brow at the thought.

"What you again!? Say clearly what you wanna say! Kim Jackie go back to Shibusen if you have to wait for us you'll be late right?" Annoyed, Maka sighs at her partner only then to falter flinching briefly before turning towards the other witch and weapon, concern clear upon her face as she tells them to go on ahead.

"Eh seriously? It is really okay?" Kim asks unsure while Jackie sighs relieved.

"Yeah." Maka assures the girl.

"Alright we'll go on ahead then." Kim tells the two before Jackie releases a bright burst of flames from her cowbell as the two take off heading to Death City, leaving Maka and Soul alone.

"You felt something?" Soul asks brow furrowed at his Meister's actions.

"Yeah a strong wavelength with a strong killing intent over there." Maka reveals to Soul.

"Is it Justin?" Soul asks alarmed.

"No it seems different. He's coming…" Maka furrows her brow, her greens narrowing ready for what's to come.

"Coming? But we're in the sky." Soul says confused only then for them both to gasp when they turn towards the source seeing a boy floating, flying in the sky, coal black wings attached to the male's back with small petal shaped shards of black with thin technological like lines marred into the shards aimed at Maka as all the boy says is…

"Die Maka Albarn."

"Iggy's ill again…" Meekly, the little girl whispers, brow furrowed as she stands before her father and mother, her father tending to the food while her mother tends to the mortar grinding the herbs for the remedy for the bedridden boy, a heavy hue of ruby red upon his cheeks. He lies down on the ground, whimpering, wheezing concern clear upon their faces from the rest of the family. They knew how he was they know his fragile form, they knew of his limits…

"Yeah Iggy's ill again." Timidly, Isaac smiles sadly down at his worried little girl fretting over her little brother. He places his hand on her head, ruffling up her hair but she doesn't whine, whimper or even complain, her focus solely on her baby brother.

"Is…is he going to be okay?" Hopeful, the little girl questions her father.

"Of course he is! Your mother's the best of the best when it comes to healing and should I remind you of how she and I met?" Mischievously, Isaac beams brightly down at his little girl gushing as he gestures over to said woman, her brow furrowed focused on the concoction at hand. He winks wryly at her.

"A shame I never could fix that brain of yours." Tiredly, Morrigan whispers brow furrowed.

"Hey my brain's a magical thing." Teasingly, Isaac whines pouting at his wife wandering over to the bedridden boy.

"It's certainly special." Smirking, she jokes as she places the back of her hand to her child's temple.

"Heeey! Rude you're just jealous. See this Ava, your mother's bullying me." Pouting, he wraps his arms around the little girl holding her in his lap, nuzzling into her side making her furrow her brow at him as she lies in his lap.

"I suppose if only I could steal that empty space of that head of yours, my brain would really appreciate some extra room." Amused, Morrigan chuckles under her breath bemused before focusing on the boy before her as she reaches out to the bucket by her side.

"Meeean Avvy mummy's bulling me again." Whining, Isaac whimpers hugging his baby girl rolling her eyes.

"Heh only cause daddy's a dummy." Dubiously, the girl giggles.

"Mori Avvy's bullying me." Isaac whines draping his from over the woman dunking a cloth into the cool crisp water below placing it upon the boy's temple before flicking some sprinkles of water in his hair.

"Aw are you hurt Willy?" Morrigan teases in a sickly-sweet tone pinching his cheek making him whine as she flicks her fingers spraying some more water in his face.

"Only true loves kiss could save me from this tragedy." Teasingly, he leans in nuzzling into the side of her neck after scrunching up his nose, trying to brush the water sprayed in his face off.

"Urgh" Morrigan rolls her eyes endearingly at the dummy before her, sighing as she pecks his cheek.

"Eeeew mummy kissed daddy." Disgusted, Ava pokes her tongue out repulsed.

"You say that now but when you find you're night in shining armour you'll be kissing her every single second." Confidently, Isaac winks at the angry Ava.

"No way! Bleh!" Ava scowls at her father scowling her arms over her chest.

"Oh yeah then how do you like this?" Smirking, he removes himself from his wife diving at her bringing her into his own form of a hug.

"No daddy your stubble tickles m-ahahahahahah!" Cackling, the girl whines when her father shoves his cheek into her own, his stubble sliding over her cheek making her whine. The little girl's giddy grin soon transforms to screams, transcending to other voices of pained anguish cries soon joining in as the memory ceases.

The woman sat in the circle furrows her brow grimacing at the sound of the witches who had perished who had fallen upon these grounds echo in the woman's head, sweat sliding down her tense temple, grinding her teeth together. She focuses on the task at hand unaware of the chaos in the outside world.

Smirking, Ingram sturts up the stone steps of the temple, smirking smugly. He closes his eyes remembering the screams, the shouts, the people rushing inside the temple, trampling over those that were weaker, screaming, shouting. He remembered it well…his mother clutching him tight to his chest as lord Death and his men made their way into the village, hearing the flickering flames of the innocent being brunt to a crisp those being cut down caught up in the crossfire as they all hid. While others tried to flee from the fury of the grim reaper.

Ingram places his hand flat on the door, his fingertips fidgeting around the scarred slash marks of the temple door, opening the door where through the shy stream of light finally entering the room of pitch black exposes the woman in waiting, stood in the middle of a circle of some sort, the flickering flames of ruby red flickering from the cool crisp breeze brushing against the frail flames. Crimson circles coil around the woman, her frail firm skin bare before the world with ruby red shapes, glyphs of some sort marred into her skin similar to the symbols surrounding the woman.

"Why have you disturbed me?" The cold crisp curt voice demands from the visitor where a pair of jaded gold glare into a pair of a smirking similar shade to his own.

"Found something that might peek your interest." Ingram smirks smugly at the sight of the woman before her, simply arching a black brow intrigued by the proposition presented.

"Because of Maka Albarn's advanced soul perception ability they might get on the kishin's trail. I don't mind if you kill her and take her soul." Stoically, Noah reveals to Gopher bowing before his creator coldly staring down at the titled floorboards below.

"Yes master Noah…" Loyally, Gopher nods his head in understanding.

"Maka!" Alarmed, Soul calls out concerned.

"So how does it feel? When your soul is being targeted?" Smugly, Gopher proclaims proudly cackling as he fires his numerous sharp shards of coal black towards Maka making her cry out as she is easily thrown to the side.

"Ahahaha dance dance!" Chaotically cackling, Gopher proclaims proudly smirking smugly firing shard after shard of pitch black towards the girl pinning her into the tall tower of stone nearby.

"We can't settle this just by running away we need to attack!" Soul tells Maka.

"Agreed!" Maka nods her head in agreement.

"You're too slow…you know I wondered what kind of meister was the one to defeat witch Arachne and this is all you can do? No wonder Ingram took the killing blow. He's always been weak when it comes to mortals, it makes me laugh to think someone like you might be worthy of being an intern in my master's collection." Seething, Gopher bites his lip furious, trying to beat back the tears threatening to fall furiously screaming, screeching envy etched into his furious features, firing blast after blast, ready to end the nobody before him.

"Angel my ass this punk! You an idiot or something how the hell am I supposed to fight with these half assed wings!?" Mad, Maka snarls snapping scowling slamming her foot down on the broom before her.

"Got it…" Soul smirks.

"SOUL RESONANCE!" Together, the two proclaim proudly as the meek flimsy feathers of the wings sprout out, releasing a burst of feathers of snow white proudly presented before Gopher's coal crisp feathers. But before the two could truly fight back, they gasp when they dive at Gopher only to be thrown back into the crater created from the previous strike.

"You're still too weak." Smugly, Gopher remarks easily adjusting to the winds of the open air compared to the novices before him.

"D-Dammit!" Soul curses as Maka grunts, swiping at her bruised bloodied lip, ruby red stains her snow white glove as her greens glare at the boy before her.

"What's up with his wavelength? It's been on fire since we came face to face I've never even met the guy." Maka mutters lost confusion clear upon her furrowed features frowning at the male before her.

"Incoming." Soul warns his meister as the two turn back to Gopher.

"DIE! Don't run! All master Noah wants is your soul! The rest is unnecessary primate hominidae you female thing! EAT THIS!" Gopher snarls seething firing numerous fine feathers of black at the girl gushing gales of feathers thrown Maka's way.

"Like they'd hit me!" Maka seethes rushing up to Gopher into the eye of the storm of feathers fluttering.

"Damn those wings they're pretty hard…WITCH HUNTER!" Maka screams snarling as she drops down, grabbing hold of her broom, her scythe blade extending courtesy of a familiar bright broad light slashing at the open air batting Gopher back.

"Shit! Tch! You've gone and done it now you've gone and wounded my body! The beautiful body that master Noah developed was wounded by this shittttty female pigggggg? This troglodyte is nominated for master Noah's collection…and I and I…I'm not!? DAMMIT! Even that brat Ingram did and he's going to be in that book too! DAMMIT! MASTER NOAH!" Enraged, Gopher screeches his body opening up his torso opening a mouth as a bright ball of light appears forming from his separated torso.

"SOUL!" Alarmed, Maka cries out wincing at the bright broad bema of light aimed at them both.

"YOU FUCKING MORON YOU'RE RETREATING! DON'T TAKE ON THE BRUNT OF MY FEELINGS FOR MASTER NOAH JUST ACCEPT BEING THE TARGET OF THE COLELCITON! JUST HOW BLESSED ARE YOU!?" Noah screams snarling as Maka slams her eyes shut the two preparing for the blast or so they thought as next thing Maka knew the bright broad beam of light is swiftly snuffed out like a coal crisp blanket blinds Maka making her blink baffled by the sudden shade thrown their way.

"Are you done now?" Bored, a familiar voice calls out startling Soul and Maka making the two stare stunned at the woman, a shield of a wing blocking said strike.

"Lady Ava!" Astonished, Maka stares stunned, gawking, gaping beaming brightly at the sheer sight of the woman before them, standing tall. Her fingertips flex around the sharp blade of the wing as her gold glare into a pair of shaking, shaking spiralling dark blue.

"Maka dear my, my look at those wings." Amused, Ava arches a brow at the wings below.

"Yeah aren't they amazing?" Amazed, Maka gushes beaming brightly.

"I see so Soul really has become a death scythe congratulations Soul how does it feel?" Ava asks looking down at the scythe not even batting an eye to Gopher his hue twitching at the sheer nerve of the woman before them.

"To be honest it doesn't feel like much changed." Calmly, Soul confesses as Ava adjusts the long black coat with a V neck and black fur rimming the cuffs and running down the end of the coat. The feathery fur looks purplish plum metallic even.

"But you're scared right? Small fish in a big pond." Ava nods her head in understanding.

"…Yeah." Soul nods his head.

"You'll be fine the both of you." Ava assures the two.

"You dare ignore me!?" Mad, Gopher screeches making the three share a look as Ava turns to raise a brow lowering her metallic feather like shield as Maka and Soul's eyes widen when seeing the shield shift, hearing the crisp crunch of bone as her body morphs, changes revealing a normal hand with plum purple crescents alongside a fair few feathers lingering sprouting from her hand.

"Aren't you coming with us?" Confused, Soul asks her.

"Not right now that Gopher guy may know something on Kid." Casually, she reveals to the two.

"Then let us help with my wings we can." Earnestly, Maka begs but…

"It's alright Maka besides don't you have class to tend to?" She reminds the two.

"She's right Maka." Soul agrees with her.

"Alright. But we'll see you right?" Hopeful, Maka asks.

"Of course." Coyly, Ava smiles.

"Great it's glad to have someone with a sense of normality back in Shibusen." Relieved, Maka smiles as the two flee from the fight ahead leaving Gopher and Ava alone.

"No! Noah sama needs…!" Gopher begins but falters from the sudden spiky claw coiling around him as he heaves, spitting scarlet hearing the crisp crunch of broken bones. His shaky baby blues gaze into a pair of malicious mustard yellow.

"And where do you think you're going maggot?" Murderously, Ava smiles sweetly at him, a sick sense of sadism laced in her tone tarrying the boy before him.

"N-Noah sama…" Sniffling, the boy whimpers before crying out as he is thrown to the ground below, gasping when he flails, crawling, trying to flee only then to cry out when the wings protruding out of his back are grabbed.

"You said your body was inspired by ingrams no?" Smirking, Ava descends down from the high heavens, a pair of wings from her back as she has her hands behind her back, the crisp click of heels echoing. They swiftly slam on the back of the boy making him cry out when feeling her heel dig deep into her back, drawing a shy stream of ruby red staining the ground below.

"N-Noah sama he…he was inspired by Morrigan." Meekly, Noah whimpers before crying out when feeling a bone be adjusted almost by the swift slick movement of her heel almost rejecting his spleen as he flails thrashing whimpering, whining, the tears freely flowing from him as her feathery claw dig deep into his bag.

"Let's just see how much inspiration he took after her!" Sadistically, she smirks as she pries out from her arm, a feather protruding out of her arm, a faint scarlet splatter spews out of her arm, hardening as soon as it touches the open air. Screeching, Noah cries out to the high heavens as he is left in the hands of Ava as Maka leaves, whistling innocently to herself. Smiling, she and Soul head back to the academy.

"P-Please…don't!" Desperate, the boy beg only then to scream, screeching to the high heavens as he is pinned down to the ground.

"Don't worry I'm not going to take your wings from you." Smiling, she assures the boy.

"Y-You're not?" Hopeful, Gopher asks, his hues wide as a small spark of hope flickers in his blue.

"No, no, no, I need you to go back to this Noah sama you speak of. Smiling, she reveals, grinning giddily when seeing said spark be snuffed out.

"Then what ar-argh!" Lost, Gopher questions only then to be cut off screaming, screeching to the high heavens when he is roughly grabbed by the throat, feeling her claws dig deep into his throat. Shy scarlet stream descend down his throat as he thrashes, wailing whimpering.

"Tell me have you heard of the saying hell hath no fury like a woman's fury?" Curious, she asks the boy quirking his head to the side.

"I…" Gopher gulps anxiously.

"Where do you think they got that from?" Frowning, she questions the boy as he is thrown to the ground.

"P-Please I…I…" Desperate, he tries to crawl away on his back, ignoring the sharp sting of claw marks marred into his back, ignoring the shy scream of ruby red forming from a trail below as bits of debris, of rocks lodge themselves into his open wound, making him whimper at the rough surface scratching against the open wound.

"An eye for an eye after all…you take something from me I'll take something from him." Smiling, she steps forward, slowly with but with cold curt professional steps forward, taking her time as she then mounts the boy.

"D-Don't please! I'm beggin you! Noah sama made me to be perfect to come back without one of his…" Pleadingly, he begs only to whimper as he is roughly grabbed by the throat noting the feathers from the cuffs of her collar and cuffs flutter briefly. She takes out from the feathers a singular metallic feather making his heart drop.

"Would be the ultimate dishonour right? To have his little tool be tinkered with behind his back, to be torn apart, to be broken with bit by bit." Teasingly, she smiles a sickly sadistic sweet smile as the teasingly touch of the blade brushes against his cheek creating a small slit of ruby red for crimson currents to come gushing out of, smearing his porcelain like cheek. She feels the boy shake, quiver, quake in her hands, seeing the tears freely fall from the boy smearing against the blood. He feels the sharp sting of his tear brush against the open cut.

"P-Please stop! STOP!" Screaming, he begs horrified. She reels her bloodied dagger like feather back before screaming screeching to the high heavens as all he sees is red while elsewhere Maka merrily whistles oblivious to the bloodbath behind her as Soul and her head to school.
