Chapter 7: Wave II

Naruto was standing in front of Kurama in his mindscape.

"So, you gonna tell me why I have the Byakugan now? Or are you gonna stall some more?" Naruto asked with a cocked eyebrow as he crossed his arms.

"Uh…" Kurama spoke as his eyes drifted to the side. He didn't know how to explain it. "Well, ya see, Kit… this is going to be tricky to explain…"

"And why's that? Surely you know, right? I mean it sounded like you did back when I first activated it," the whiskered blonde pointed out.

"Well… yes… I do know, but the way that you have and how you got it is complicated to explain."

"Why?" Naruto quizzed.

"Because… well…"

"He can't explain it because of me," a voice answered for Kurama. Naruto turned around and saw a woman's face walking out of the shadows. His face was quizzical of the new arrival. The woman walked past Naruto and next to Kurama.

"And who are you?" Naruto asked. He inspected the woman and she was very weird looking. Her hair stopped at her shoulders, her eyes had black rings around them and there was a black streak that was connected to her neck. Her scleras were black, the irises were red, and her pupils were white. Plus, her body was black.

"Me? I'm Kirai, nice to meet you, Naruto Uzumaki," Kirai responded with a smile.

"Hello, Kirai…" Naruto greeted with a nod. "What'd you mean by 'he can't explain it because of me?'"

"Well, Kurama couldn't explain it because of what I am and what I can do," Kirai responded.

Naruto titled his head to the side in confusion.

"Okay, listen up, brat, this is going to sound confusing," Kirai told the blonde. "I, Kirai, am an offspring from the God Tree… You don't know what the God Tree is, okay. The God Tree is a tree that grows by absorbing the blood in the ground over a millennia and also drains the natural energy from the people and the planet until they die. It was the only thing on Earth that had chakra. Now, way back when, a woman by the name of Kaguya Otsutsuki decided to eat a chakra fruit from when the God Tree had produced one. She was the first person on Earth to have chakra. She had two sons: Hagoromo and Hamura, got jealous because they had their own chakra, decided to fuse with the God Tree, failed to try and kill her sons, and ended up getting sealed, but she did give birth to a being named Black Zetsu to try and bring its mother back."

"Okay… so… you came from some divine tree that was the only thing that had chakra on this planet… How did you come from a tree?" Naruto asked.

"Well, after Kaguya took the Tree's chakra fruit, it was angry and made me from all of the chakra it contained. While it was making me, Kaguya fused with the God Tree and interrupted part of my birth. But thanks to Hagoromo and Hamura sealing Kaguya quickly, the tree was able to finish me before it died. I was also lucky to steal some of Kaguya's genes and make myself a body."

"I see… so, you have control of all chakra?"

"Hm… I wouldn't put it like that, but sure. I can use any sort of chakra and create my own. So, for example, the Sharingan. I can change the chakra in my brain to make it so that I can use the Sharingan without having to be an Uchiha."

"Oh, that's really cool," Naruto commented with wide eyes.

"Mhm, mhm. I can do many other things too, but then we'd be here too long."

"Alright, so, how'd the God Tree get here?" Naruto asked.

"Well, the God Tree for this planet landed here from a meteorite. The Otsutsuki Clan travel through dimensions looking for God Trees to harvest the chakra and information of the planet so their species evolves," Kirai answered. "If you wanna know where God Trees come from, I can't tell you that, but I can tell you that someone somewhere messed up."

"I see… Jeez, this is starting to hurt my brain…" Naruto stated as he rubbed his hair.

"It gets more confusing than that, brat, but anyways, back to the original question you had on how you're able to use the Byakugan. It's simple. I made you be able to use it."

"How so?"

"Well, currently, I'm using your body. You never noticed it, and you won't notice it until sometime in the future. But, since I'm residing in your body like how Kurama is, I'm able to make you be able to do things you wouldn't have been able to do before, like use the Byakugan," Kirai explained. "Look at your right hand."

Naruto lifted his arm up and looked at his right hand.

"That black stuff on your fingers is my doing. Once you continue to get stronger, that black stuff will continue to grow until it covers your entire right arm, but don't worry, it won't hurt you. You'll barely recognize it."

Naruto only nodded as he touched it with his other arm, it felt… weird. "Okay… one more question. What's my chakra nature?"

"Oh, that? Well, your strongest chakra nature is wind, but you have all eight chakra natures, and many more," Kirai explained.

"Eight? I thought there were only five."

"You've never heard of Yin, Yang, or Yin-Yang Release?" Kirai asked. Naruto shook his head. "Wait, you've never been taught it since it's rarely used or seen… Alright, Yin Release uses spiritual energy to create forms out of nothingness. It uses the imagination, like for example… genjutsu. Genjutsu makes illusions out of nothingness to trick or possibly hurt people. Yang Release uses physical energy to grant life to forms that have none. For example, if you were to make one of your arms bigger, that would be you using Yang Release. And then Yin-Yang Release is a combination of both." Naruto nodded, slowly understanding what she was saying.

"Well, that's basically it. You won't be seeing me for a bit, and don't try calling me either, I won't respond. See ya!" Kirai said as she vanished from sight. Naruto looked up at Kurama and the beast sighed in relief.

"So, there's someone else inside of me… great…" Naruto stated with a sigh.

"Kit… do not trust that woman," Kurama spoke.

"Why? What's she trying to do?"

"She's using your body since she doesn't have a stable one. She needs you to be stronger so that she can take over your body and make it her own. After that, she'll wipe out this place of humans," Kurama answered.

"You've met her before?"

"She's the one that told me to help you."

Naruto's eyes slightly widened. "I see… how can we stop her?"

"I have no idea, but it'll be a while before she pulls anything, I assume," Kurama hypothesized. "For now, just focus on completing the mission." Naruto nodded, but then noticed something about Kurama.

"Hey, Kurama, what's up with your eye? It looks weird. Also, one of your tails is different too," Naruto noticed.

Kurama looked at the ground and saw that the sclera of his right eye was black and his iris was yellow. His pupil was a black, four-pointed star with four black dots around it. He moved one of his tails in his vision and saw that it was a sandy brown with dark blue markings on it.

He grit his teeth slightly, realizing that he'd forgotten about his partial transformation.

"I'm… going through something at the moment. Don't worry about it," Kurama responded as he moved his tail back.

"Alright then… if you say so," Naruto accepted with a shrug.

"Go get some rest, Kit, you need it." Naruto nodded and stretched before closing his eyes. He fell back into the water and fell asleep.

Naruto woke up and yawned. He sat up and stretched his arms out before looking at the light blue blanket that was covering his legs.

"He's awake," a womanly voice spoke. Naruto blinked and looked up to see a woman with blue hair and black eyes. She was wearing a short-sleeved pink shirt with the ends and collar being red. She also had on a blue skirt.

Naruto looked behind her and saw Sakura and Kakashi with Tazuna next to them.

The whiskered blonde rubbed his eyes. "How long was I asleep for?"

"A couple hours," Kakashi responded as he put two fingers up. Naruto simply nodded at that before removing the covers off of himself.

"Wait, are you sure you can move? You seemed pretty out of it once you got here," the woman asked.

Naruto smiled. "Yeah, I'm fine. I feel better now that I took that nap!" He then looked at Kakashi. "Hey, Kakashi-sensei, where's Sasuke?"

"Outside. I'm going to start training you guys seriously now… well, Sakura and Sasuke I'll train seriously… I don't know about you though," the cycloptic jounin answered.

"Don't worry about training me, I'll train myself!" Kakashi nodded at that.

"Well, good thing is that you took down one of the most powerful ninja assassins, so we'll be fine for now," Tazuna pointed out.

"Yeah, but… what about that girl with the mask?" Sakura asked as she put a hand to her chin.

"She's from an elite hunting unit from Kirigakure. Those masks are only worn by the most elite shinobi," Kakashi responded.

"What exactly do they do?" Sakura inquiried.

"The Anbu Black Ops destroy all traces of a rogue ninja's corpse. The shinobi's body contains many secrets. Ninjutsu, chakra, special medicines used on his body. These are the secrets of his village. If an enemy finds them, his village would be in grave danger. For instance, if I were to die at the hands of an enemy, he would try to analyze my Sharingan. In the worst case, my entire technique would be stolen and used against Konoha. It is the sacred duty of the shinobi hunters to prevent this, to keep the village secrets safe. If a ninja betrays his village, the hunters track him down, eliminate him, and obliterate every trace of his existence. That's their specialty," Kakashi explained.

The girl was crouched over the body of Zabuza Momochi with a pair of green clippers.

"First, I'll cut the bandage and drain some of the blood…" She said to herself as she moved her hand over Zabuza's face. She gasped and flinched back when the body grabbed her arm.

Zabuza shot open his eyes and pulled down the bandage over his mouth. "That's enough! I'll do it."

"So, you've already come back to life."

Zabuza sat up and rested against his sword. "Haku… you're brutal!"

"You're the one who's brutal, Zabuza. If you keep pulling them out like that, you really will be finished," she pointed out.

"How long are you planning to wear that phony mask? Take it off," Zabuza demanded.

"I have good memories of this mask… and it was quite useful for tricking that ninja," she said as she took off her mask, revealing a young face and brown eyes. "If I hadn't intervened, you'd probably be killed by the Copy Ninja."

"Putting me in a temporary death state is fine, but not through the pressure points in my neck," he complained as he put up his bandage. "Cruel as usual. I think you enjoy it."

"It was the only sure way. And I wouldn't wanna mark up your flawless body, you'd complain about that even more," Haku defended with a smile. "The neck is more vulnerable, there's no layer of muscle, so I could go straight into the pressure points."

Zabuza tried to move, but couldn't.

"There's no point trying to move, you'll be numb for a week. Although, if you're stubborn as usual, you'll probably be moving in half the time," Haku told the ex-ninja.

"I need to be moving in half the time… that blonde genin brat is stronger than me, and he wasn't even trying to kill me," Zabuza pointed out.

"Yes… he really is strong, but you should be more worried about Kakashi Hatake, he'll be your opponent. I'll be the one fighting the other genin, so don't worry," Haku stated.

"Even still, I have to be prepared for Kakashi too. He's a strong opponent…" Zabuza said. He looked around the environment before looking at Haku from the side. "You're so innocent, and you're clever at the same time… rare combination, that's why I keep you around."

Haku chuckled. "I'm still a kid, what else would you expect?" Haku stood up as the mist started clearing from the area. "The mist is cleared."

"Let's go."

Kakashi walked over to the window and stared out into the ocean.

'If Zabuza is finished, why do I feel this way?' Kakashi thought as he put a hand over his right eye. 'Something's wrong… it's like I missed something…'

Naruto could tell something was wrong.

"Kakashi-sensei, you okay?"

"Hm?" Kakashi asked as he turned around. "Oh, yeah. As I was saying, hunter-nin deal with the body immediately, on the spot, so there's no room for error."

"Is that really important?" Sakura asked.

"Think about it, do you remember what that hunter-nin did with Zabuza's body?" Kakashi asked the two.

Sakura thought back to when the hunter disappeared with Zabuza's body, but didn't know what she did.

"Uh… I don't know what she did… I mean, I guess she took it away somewhere," Sakura guessed.

"Exactly, but why? She should've worked on Zabuza right there, as quickly as possible," Kakashi confirmed, expanding on that thought. "Think of the weapons she used for the takedown… Do you remember what they were?"

Naruto thought back to when she pulled out the two needles. "Those were senbon…"

"Yes, none of it adds up…" Kakashi said, putting a hand to his chin.

Tazuna took a step forward. "What are you guys talking about, you demolished that assassin."

Kakashi put his hand to his side. "Here's the truth: Zabuza's still alive."

Tazuna and Sakura were shocked, the woman gasped while Naruto breathed a sigh of relief.

"But we saw his body get killed by that hunter!" Tazuna pointed out.

"Kakashi-sensei you even checked him yourself! You said that his heart stopped!" Sakura added.

"His heart did stop, but that was just a temporary state, to simulate death," Kakakshi said. "The weapons she used are called senbon. They can pierce deeply but rarely kill unless they hit a vital organ, not in the neck… They're modified from needles used for medical treatments like acupuncture. Hunters are trained to know every detail of the human body, causing the heart to stop temporarily while keeping the body alive is an easy matter for them.

"First, she carried Zabuza's body away even though it was heavier than she is. Second, she used senbon which has a precise effect but are rarely fatal. From these two factors, we can conclude that the hunter wasn't trying to destroy Zabuza, she was trying to save him," Kakashi concluded.

"Don't you think you're overthinking this a bit, Kakashi?" Tazuna asked with a worried look.

"A countering suspicion, the ninja prepares quickly. Hesitation leads to disaster. Every shinobi knows this saying," the cycloptic jounin responded.

"Sensei… how is last minute training going to help us defeat Zabuza? Naruto couldn't even kill him!" Sakura pointed out.

"Naruto was holding back," Kakashi countered. Sakura's eyes slightly widened as she looked at her blonde teammate.

"There's no way that annoying idiot could've been holding back! With all of those flashy stunts he pulled he was trying his hardest!" Inner Sakura declared.

"Also, Zabuza's getting extra help from that hunter-nin, so you'll need to take care of her too," the jounin added.

"Mm… I guess you're right," Sakura mumbled.

"Don't worry Kakashi-sensei, I'll take care of Zabuza and that hunter-nin no problem! Everything'll be fine, believe it!" Naruto exclaimed with a foxy grin.

"I don't believe it and nothing's gonna be fine," A voice spoke behind Naruto and Sakura. The two turned around and saw a little boy with dark colored eyes and spiky hair under a blue-striped white hat. He was wearing a yellow shirt underneath green overalls with brown sandals.

"Who're you?" Naruto asked with a quirked eyebrow.

"Inari! Where've ya been?" Tazuna asked as he opened his arms up.

"Welcome back, Grandpa!" The boy named Inari said as he gave Tazuna a hug.

"Inari, that was very rude! These ninja helped your grandpa and brought him back here safely!" The woman scolded the child.

Tazuna began rubbing Inari's hat. "It's okay, Tsunami, it's okay. I'm rude to them too."

Inari glared at Naruto and Sakura before moving away from Tazuna. He turned to look up at Tsunami. "Mom don't you see these people are gonna die?! Gato and his men will come back and find them again and wipe them out!"

Naruto smirked as he stood up. "Listen up, kid, there's no way I'm gonna let some businessman kill me! I have to become the Hokage after all!"

"Pfft, yeah right. You're just saying things, you'll never become the Hokage!" Inari retorted.

Naruto crossed his arms. "Jeez, what crawled up your ass and died?"

"Naruto!" Sakura exclaimed as she hit him.

"Ow! Again?!"

Inari scowled at the blonde before turning around. "Go back to where you came from."

"Inari where're ya goin?" Tazuna asked.

"To go look out at the ocean. I wanna be alone!" He answered as he continued walking away.

After a moment if silence, Tazuna spoke. "Sorry about that."

"It's whatever… do you mind me asking why he's like that?" Naruto asked Tazuna and Tsunami.

Kakashi was outside in the forest, standing in front of Sasuke, Naruto, and Sakura.

"Okay, your training starts now," Kakashi spoke to the three genin. "First, we will begin basic chakra control."

"And what's that?" Sakura asked.

"Climb a tree," Kakashi responded.

"Climb a tree?" Sasuke and Sakura both questioned.

"Yep, that's right. But, there's just one rule: no hands."

"... What? You're kidding…" Sakura said.

"Am I?"

"Oh come on, it's easy," Naruto voiced as he walked up to the tree behind Kakashi. He began walking up the trunk and walked under a branch, standing upside down. Sakura looked on in shock while Sasuke grit his teeth.

"See? It's not that hard at all. Once you get the hang of it, it's a breeze," the whiskered blonde added as he fell down and landed on his feet.

"Thank you for the demonstration, Naruto," the jounin thanked with a head nod. "Now, if you want to do what Naruto did, you have to focus the chakra to the soles of your feet and use it to connect to the tree. This is one way to apply the power of chakra."

"Wait a minute, that's a nice trick but how does it help us fight Zabuza?!" Sakura inquired.

"It's the only way to fight him, Sakura. That's the entire goal of this training. First, you'll learn to draw a precise amount of chakra to a precise point in your body. This is difficult, even for advanced ninja. This type of climbing requires a subtle mix of physical and spiritual energy, and the bottoms of the feet are the hardest points to focus chakra. Are you getting the picture? If you can master this, you can master any technique, theoretically," Kakashi explained. "The second point is to learn to maintain your chakra levels. When a ninja is focused in battle, it's even harder to control and maintain his chakra levels, a deadly mistake. To avoid this, maintaining chakra must be second nature, effortless."

"Well I can talk about this all day, but that won't advance your skills, will it? You need to apply the power of chakra, through training." Kakashi threw two kunai that landed at Sasuke and Sakura's feet. "Use the kunai to mark the tree at the highest point you can climb, without using your hands. Then try to get past that mark the next time, and the next. At first you'll need to run at the tree so that your momentum can take you as high as possible, until you get used to it. Now go!"

Sasuke and Sakura picked up their kunai and ran towards the tree. Kakashi walked up to Naruto.

"Naruto… in your fight with Zabuza, when he used the Exploding Water Colliding Wave, you used the Flying Thunder God Technique to avoid it, right?" Kakashi checked. The blonde smirked.

"I sure did!"

"Where did you learn that? Only the Nidaime-"

"Tobirama Senju? Yeah, I already know. He was the one that created the technique, my dad just expanded on it," Naruto finished Kakashi's sentence.

"But… how do you know the Yondaime's your father…?" The cycloptic jounin asked with a wide eye.

"I met him. After I became a genin, I went to my mindscape where the Kyuubi resides and I took off the seal. That's when I met my dad, Minato Namikaze! He taught me how to use the Flying Thunder God Technique and how to place it on weapons and people! He also taught me his other techniques as well!" Naruto exclaimed with a foxy grin.

"So… you already know you're a Jinchuuriki and you already know your father…? Well this is unexpected… but that clears some things up. So Kurama is the Kyuubi's name?" Kakashi guessed as he crossed his arms.

Naruto nodded. "Yep! We became friends fast! He's helped me with a lot of things and I'm grateful for having him! But can we keep this between you and me? I don't want Sasuke up my ass about it."

"It's supposed to be a secret anyway. No one's supposed to talk about you being a Jinchuuriki," Kakashi said.

"Why?"

"We'll talk about it later, you should go train by yourself," Kakashi told the blonde genin as he patted his shoulder and turned around. Naruto watched Kakashi walk away before turning around and walking deeper into the forest.

Sasuke watched Naruto walk further away. He grit his teeth and lowly growled, but Kakashi tapped his head.

"Hey, focus on this. If you don't, you'll never catch up to him," Kakashi told the raven-haired genin.

Sasuke scoffed and turned around, resuming his tree climbing.

Naruto was in the middle of a clearing with Kurama next to him.

"So, what are we gonna be doing, Kurama?" Naruto asked his Bijuu.

"You should probably train your Byakugan. You're pretty good using Wind and Fire techniques for now, but you need to practice your new dojutsu," Kurama responded. "But I'm also going to teach you a new chakra nature too."

"Really?" Naruto asked, a grin growing on his face. Kurama nodded.

"Now focus on the Byakugan," Kurama said, about to disappear.

"Wait, before I do… I wanna try something out," Naruto said before making the clone seal. "Shadow Clone Technique!"

Three clones appeared next to Naruto. "Kurama, I want you to teach one of these clones the new chakra nature and another one more techniques like Water, Earth, and Lightning Release."

Kurama smirked as he made the clone seal and two of his clones appeared next to him. "What's the extra one for?"

"My sparring partner for my Byakugan training," Naruto responded. Kurama nodded before looking at his clones.

"Take two of them and go somewhere secluded. You know what to do next," Kurama instructed. They both nodded and took two of Naruto's clones.

Naruto looked at the clone in front of him and sighed. 'This would be much easier with Hinata and Hanabi…' Naruto thought.

"Byakugan!" Both Narutos shouted. They activated the Byakugan and blinked their eyes a couple of times to get used to it. 'Okay… I've already made up a move with the Byakugan… and I sort of understand how to disable chakra points… I need to be more precise and understand how to block chakra points, as well as make more moves just in case.'

The original Kurama took one of Naruto's clones and found a secluded spot.

"Alright Kit's clone, I'm going to teach you Magnet Release, the new chakra nature that's comprised of Wind and Earth," Kurama told the clone. The clone smiled and nodded.

"This will be a bit tricky since Magnet Release is a hard kekkei genkai to explain and it mostly uses other substances instead of making its own," Kurama added. "But anyways, let's begin. Convert your chakra into magnetic."

"W-Wait… how do I do that? I don't even know what magnetism feels like!" The Naruto clone explained.

Kurama looked at him before humming and raising his arm. "Magnet Release: Human Field."

Naruto started to feel weird. He felt like some of his body parts were either moving away from him or more close to him. His brain was rapidly shaking too, but the feeling abruptly stopped when Kurama swiped his hand.

"Now you know what it feels like, convert your chakra to it."

Naruto took a moment to regain himself before nodding. He closed his eyes and converted his chakra to magnetic.

"Once you've done it, do Magnet Release: Magnetic Field."

"Magnet Release: Magnetic Field! Naruto shouted. A magnetic field quickly formed around the two. Naruto looked around and could faintly see arrows pointing in certain directions.

"Good job, Naruto. Now everything in this field is magnetic. You can also change the pull of the magnetic force in the field. For example, if you focus on me, then I'll be the pull of the magnetic force and anything you throw at me will be pulled towards me, but I'm not sure about ninjutsu," Kurama explained with a shrug.

"I'll try it with a simple wind technique," Naruto said before making the Snake → Dragon → Bird hand seals. "Wind Release: Sickle Weasel Technique!"

Naruto swiped his arms across from each other and made a blade of wind that sped towards Kurama. The Bijuu jumped over the blade and it continued going past him before exploding into gusts of wind.

"So it seems like ninjutsu isn't affected by the magnetic field at all," Kurama speculated before turning around at Naruto.

"Can't I fuse Magnet Release with my other techniques? It seems like Magnet Release is like a supportive chakra nature, ya know?" Naruto wondered with a slight shrug.

"We could try that, but you need to learn how to use more magnet techniques before we combine it with anything else," Kurama responded as he crossed his arms.

"You got it, Kurama!" Naruto exclaimed with a thumbs up.

"Moving on to the next technique, this one is called Magnet Release: Environmental Crush. What you have to do is make the Hare hand seal and focus on me. The objects in the magnetic field, whatever they may be, will shoot towards me and attack me," Kurama explained.

Naruto nodded and made the Hare hand seal as he stared at Kurama "Magnet Release: Environmental Crush!"

The ground tore apart from the earth and the trunks of the trees tore off as they all shot towards Kurama. The disguised fox made the Ram hand seal.

"Hiding in Surface Technique!" Kurama quickly phased through the ground before the technique could hit him.

The objects quickly collided against the spot where Kurama was and made a small crater in the ground. The fox rose up from the ground next to Naruto and saw the damage of the technique.

"Not bad… if the magnetic field was bigger, surely the crater would be too," Kurama pointed out as he looked around.

"Really?"

"Yes really, but we'll get into that later. Let's work on a secret move before we start combining Magnet Release with other chakra natures."

Kurama made the Horse → Monkey → Ox → Dragon → Dog hand seals. "Water Release: Towering Hydra!"

Nine pillars of water shot up from behind Kurama high in the air. They all formed dragon heads and glared at Naruto with yellow eyes. Naruto's eyes slightly widened as he took a step back.

Kurama released the technique. "All you have to do is convert your chakra to water and make the Horse → Monkey → Ox → Dragon Dog hand seals like I did. The more chakra you have built up, the bigger the hydras are."

Naruto nodded and did the same hand seals Kurama did, but built up a lot of water chakra. "Water Release: Towering Hydra!"

Nine giant water pillars sprouted out from the ground and quickly formed into hydra heads. They all looked at Kurama before letting out a fearsome roar that shook the ground.

Kurama smirked at the size of the water hydra. "Nice one, Kit." Naruto dispelled the technique and the water fell to the ground before soaking into the dirt.

"Thanks, Kurama. What's next?"

Kurama curled up his left hand and placed it in his right palm. "Water Release: Shadow Rain Technique!"

Black clouds began rolling into view and instantly started raining. Naruto soon realized he wasn't getting wet by the rain and it was going through him, but he did realize that his surroundings were getting darker by the second. The whiskered blonde soon realized what this technique did, but he couldn't see Kurama anywhere.

"Byakugan!" His eyes turned a lighter shade of blue and his pupil disappeared while his veins popped out. He tried to use his Byakugan to clear the darkness, but it didn't work.

'What the hell?! My Byakugan can't see through this?!' Naruto thought.

"Your Byakugan isn't trained enough to pierce through this," Kurama's voice rang throughout the area. Naruto slightly gritted his teeth, trying to decide what to do.

"Lightning Release: Instant Transmission!" Lightning quickly shot down from one of the black clouds and traveled through the rain before forming a small cage around Naruto and instantly electrocuting him, all happening instantly.

Naruto let out a pained scream before the technique was done and so was the rain, clearing his surroundings. The clone fell to his knees and looked up to see Kurama still in the same spot with a smirk on his face.

"I made sure to not overdo it, in case you disappeared," the Bijuu clone said.

"So… about the lightning…"

"You'll learn that after the water technique," Kurama told the clone.

"What even was that water technique…?" Naruto asked as he slowly stood up.

"The Water Release: Shadow Rain Technique is a technique I created with Water Release and a mixture of Yin Release. The technique is supposed to create black rain from the clouds. The more it rains, the darker your surroundings get," Kurama responded. "The technique wasn't made to harm you, but you can get harmed if you don't know how to stop it, like you did."

"But… I didn't get wet, ya know," Naruto pointed out.

"That's because I made it so it passed through you. If you were wet then the damage of the lightning technique would've increased," Kurama explained as he crossed his arms.

"Alright then, how do I do the water technique?" Naruto asked.

"Do the Yin Water hand seal," Kurama instructed.

"... How do I do that?"

"Curl your left hand up, then place it in the palm of your right hand," Kurama told as he did it. Naruto followed suit. "Now just say the technique's name."

"Wait, that's all? Shouldn't I, ya know, know what Yin Release feels like to get the handle of this?"

"No. The Yin Water seal brings forth the Yin chakra nature inside of you for you to use the technique, as well as the Water chakra nature," Kurama clarified.

Naruto was surprised, but smiled at how easy it was. "Alright, let's do this!"

"Water Release: Shadow Rain Technique!" The same thing that happened to Naruto began happening to Kurama, except the Bijuu was getting wet.

'I wonder what he has in mind…" Kurama thought with a smirk as his right sclera began turning black while his iris was turning yellow. His pupil was a black, four-pointed star with four black dots around it.

"Wind Release: Vortex Ball!" Naruto shouted from behind Kurama. The Bijuu turned around and stopped Naruto with his right hand on the clone's forehead.

"Magnetic Binding." A seal on Kurama's palm spreaded across Naruto's body and kept him in place, his Vortex Ball disappeared too. Kurama walked back and Naruto was unable to move.

"W-What the hell is this?!" Naruto grilled, trying to escape.

'For once, Shukaku is actually useful,' Kurama thought. "A binding technique. Glad to know it works well."

"Get this off of me, Kurama!" Naruto demanded.

"Get rid of this rain so we can move on," Kurama countered as he crossed his arms.

Naruto took a deep breath and dispelled the rain. Kurama's full sight came back and he smiled. He walked up to the frozen blonde and placed his hand on his forehead again. The seals around Naruto retracted back to Kurama's palm and the clone was able to move freely.

The clone took a minute to relax before he was ready. "Okay, Kurama, what's the next technique?"

Kurama made the Snake hand seal. "Lightning Release: Disappearance Act!"

A bolt of lightning shot down from the sky at Kurama and as soon as it struck, he disappeared. Naruto's eyes widened at how quickly Kurama was gone.

"What the hell?!" He shouted as he looked around. A sudden bolt of lightning shot down at Naruto, electrocuting the clone.

He let out a pained scream as Kurama appeared above him, acting as a conductor for the lightning.

The lightning went away as Kurama landed behind Naruto. The clone fell to his knees before falling forward.

"Come on, get up. I didn't even strike you that hard," Kurama said as he turned to look at the clone.

"Why… did you have to electrocute me again…?" The clone painfully asked, slowly getting up.

"To show you how powerful the technique is. You can't really gauge how powerful it is unless you get hit by it," Kurama answered with a smirk.

"I'm pretty sure that's how people die, ya know," Naruto retorted as he stood up. Kurama just shrugged.

"If you die, you die. That's just how it was meant to be."

Naruto slightly scowled as he quickly made the Snake hand seal. 'Lightning Release: Disappearance Act!"

A bolt of lightning struck Naruto, making him disappear from sight. Kurama looked at the spot in confusion, but was soon struck by a lightning bolt.

The Bijuu clone yelped in pain before the electrocution stopped. He fell to his knees while Naruto landed in front of him.

"How's that, huh?" Naruto questioned with a grin.

Kurama slowly got up as a low growl escaped his mouth. He looked up at the blonde clone with slight rage in his eyes.

Kurama made the Ox → Bird → Dragon → Snake hand seals. "Earth Release: Magma Resurrection!"

The ground began rumbling terribly and Naruto was starting to lose his balance. A few pillars of magma bursted from the ground around Naruto.

"Better move, Kit," Kurama warned as a giant pillar of magma bursted from right underneath the clone.

"Fire Release: Great Flame Flower!" Four fireballs shot through the pillars of magma, collecting some of it in the fireballs as they traveled towards Kurama.

The Fox grinned. "This'll be fun."

Before the two fought, they realized two people were watching them, Inari and Sakura. Naruto looked at his clone.

"Let's give 'em a good show, ey?" Naruto asked.

The clone punched his palm as he nodded. "Yeah!"

The original Naruto rushed his clone and began attacking with his palms. The two of them either kept on deflecting their hits or hitting their palms.

The two of them hit their palms before the original jumped back. "Gentle Fist: Tiger Shot!" Naruto's hands were covered in chakra and he turned them over while crossing them. He pulled them back while turning them over again, making visible claw marks in the air. A tiger made out of his chakra shot out from the claw marks and rushed towards the clone.

The clone was surprised to see this and didn't react in time when the tiger jumped on him and bit down before exploding, sending the clone into a tree. He shook his head and looked up to see the original rushing him.

Naruto pushed his right palm forward, but the clone grabbed it and pushed off the ground with his left arm. Naruto leaned back from the weirdly angled kick, but when the clone finished the motion and planted that foot on the ground, he used the other one to kick Naruto's stomach. The whiskered blonde flew back a bit but quickly recovered. His clone rushed in and tried to jab one of Naruto's chakra points with two fingers.

Naruto reacted by doing a back handspring, kicking the clone's jaw and making him rise in the air. Naruto stopped the motion when he was on his hands and pushed off the ground. He double kicked the clone's chest and sent him down.

The clone hit the ground, but rolled out of the way of Naruto's descent. The clone got up and shoved his palm forward, shooting out chakra that came out as a vacuum shell.

Before Naruto knew it, he was blasted back and tumbled against the ground. The whiskered blonde came to a halt and looked at his clone.

'That was an interesting move,' Naruto noted with a smile. He did a kip-up and dashed forward. The clone did the same, and the two Narutos met in the middle. They quickly began throwing palms at each other, neither one gaining an advantage over the other.

Naruto threw his palm forward and sent out a vacuum shell at the clone, launching him back. The clone repositioned himself and landed on the trunk of a tree.

"Gentle Fist: Tiger Shot!" The clone shouted as he swiped, sending out a tiger at the original that was bigger and faster.

Naruto took a deep breath and steadied his body. "Gentle Fist Art: Chourui Chuuhi Kousei Shinrin."

A blue circle appeared under Naruto before quickly expanding across the ground etched with bird symbols. Everything seemed to slow down in the circle, even the chakra tiger.

Naruto swiftly moved past the tiger, but as he did, he placed his palm against its side and the tiger silently blew away. Naruto then sped up to his clone and cocked his arm back.

The clone slowly moved back, but he was too slow to avoid Naruto's palm strike. The clone flew back before dispelling into a smoke cloud.

The blue circle quickly retracted and disappeared. Naruto deactivated his Byakugan and breathed out a sigh of relief. He closed his eyes as he took a small break before making the clone seal.

"Again!"
