I am very sorry for the stop of the updates, but I have been indisposed for a long time. First the Covid and then the flu. I hope to pick up the story from now on.

Kingdom of Quelthalas

``Perhaps seeing things with another perspective…..´´

Those words echoed inside her mind, endlessly in some sort of loop as they spread through the vast confines of her mind, even if in reality nothing more than a few seconds had gone by.

She did not know how long she stood there lock in place. How her breath had hitched in the spot when those words had reached her. She knew the voice, it was impossible not to thank for its….uniqueness, who wouldn't?

And yet, deep down, she prayed that she was wrong. The amount of embarrassment that it would mean if proven correct could not be overstated nor imagined.

Slowly, with great reluctance she turned back, her eyes darting around the room in their search before finally revealing the owner of those words.

She should have prayed harder.

``Nathanos!? She exclaimed dumbfounded at the unexpected presence of the human who stood a few feet behind her. His eyes gazing at her with some sort of mildly amusement at her surprise. It would not be for long though, the shock of the situation was quickly dissipating, leaving the way to anger and embarrassment.

It may have been the later all things considered.

Please Beloree, don't tell me that he heard it all….that he heard-...that….

At that very moment she felt that she had regressed back to her younger days, back when she had been caught red handed with her mothers bow, only that the matter at hand was a completely different monster all together.

Her mind once collected though shaken from the earlier mess now turned into a turbulent maelstrom of disheartening thoughts, each one of them fighting for dominance as they lumped over one another.

Wishing to be heard.

She dreaded the answer. Even if not that long ago she had wished for him to stay now she was sure that none of that remained. If he had been there all this time and had not seemed the need to warn her of his presence, then…, her fist tightened, then he intentionally violated the sense of security of this sanctum.

That feeling of privacy on her weakest…. moment, now shredded like thin paper

Gods...why? Why now of all times?

`` What the hell are You doing here!? She half yelled half whispered at him, her voice cracking all the way while she stood up from the ground. Rapidly approaching him, though more out of reflex than any real thought. She did not stop until she was but at an inch from of him and pressed one of her fingers on her chest, her blue eyes never wavering from his as she did.

To her credit, he did not move a muscle, completely unfazed by her tone or the lack of distance between the two. ``You left the door open. I suggest you close to avoid future visitors´´ He replied dryly, pointing his thumb backwards at the entrance.

Immediately her eyes snapped towards the door, finding to her chagrin that it was indeed open wide, a faint air stream getting inside through the opening. That at least explained how he had gotten inside, though not the why, not especially after what he had said. Switching back at him, she met again those orange eyes.

``Noted, yet that didn't explain jack shit. Why are you here!? Didn't you stated that it was not your place to be!?´´ She inquired more harshly than she would wanted yet far more controlled than her tone would imply, trying to probe his reasoning.

She needed to know.

She had to.

Or she would not know what she would do.

``It was getting heated outside, if I am going to wait for you I better do so from a place of comfort. Does my answer displeases you, my lady?´´

She did not reply right away, nor because she had nothing to say but for the sheer absurdity of the reply, blinking a few times as if to make sure she had heard him right.

The fuck!? Is he for real?

What he had just said just did not made sense, not at all. In fact it went completely against what he had told her to not go with her. Was he going senile? He was old yes, but he did not have yet white strands over his head.

Or perhaps she was just thinking too much about it….

``Very much, especially when you did not had any obligations to wait outside so you could visit your brother, more so when you stated you were NOT gonna wait for me before you went on your way!?´´

He did not move, he did not even flinch….instead he shrugged and rose his arm and pointed at her.

``Perhaps those ears of yours are faulty….´´

She ignore the jab, brushing away his hand so that it wouldn't be right on her face. `` How much did you heard´´ It wasn't a question but rather a statement.

``Enough...´´ He replied almost absent-minded, as if it was the most simple thing in the world.

Her eyes blinked repeatedly for a few times, taken back by his response. She had expected him to not reply at all or at least try denying it. Her jaw tensed as her brows furrowed, well at least he was honest, she could work with that. For that alone, she would give him a chance to explain himself.

``You do know that it's a blatant disrespect of one's privacy, Ranger Lord? Bargaining inside private property without the owner's consent is a grave offense. I don't think that rank alone would be enough to quell any critics if this comes out. What were you thinking!? She exclaimed. A scowl now warped on her face. The head-ache now starting to worsen as it was about to become a migraine.

He shrugged ``Well, it wasn't like you were being exactly quiet about it….., have you considered poetry, my lady? Last I heard emotionally distressed individuals have a higher chance to become respected artists.., or so they say….´´ He replied taking a dispassionate look around him.

``Very funny Ranger Lord, now can you quip your jokes and leave? It would be much appreciated´´ She gave him her back, placing her attention once again towards the statues. Whatever intention Nathanos had, she would not give him the satisfaction to see her struck by his words.

``And here I thought that you wished for company….´´

Her teeth started to grin with one another Just ignore him and he will leave….he is just a bitter old man She walked away from him, placing one of her hands over her chest, feeling the rapid throbs of her heart.

Her breathing heavy and rapid.

``So...what are you doing now?´´

… ...…...…

``Seriously? Ignoring me now are you? Now that is no way to treat a superior, Captain, such behavior could cost you much´´

...Shut up…..

``Tell me, do they answer back or the only thing you do is mop in the floor until you are tired?´´

Shut up

``Fine, close your eyes and pretend it's all a bad dream, captain, I am sure you have practice by now...…´´ He replied calmly, by the corner of her eyes she caught him doing a mocking bow.

Her eye started twitching in anger at the blatant disrespect shoved at her in such a way. Alright, screw this...

``I think not, buffoon. The circus is nowhere near here, I recommend you reunite with your fellow jesters´´

``I beg your pardon?´´ He stated, surprise hinting on his voice. A grimace of displeasure began to form on his face.

``You heard me, clown. Leave. Now! I already have too much on my plate than to deal with your impertinence and lack of tact! Or would you prefer I find your collar and take you for a walk?´´

To her surprise, his scowl softened up, his mustache wriggling as a faint smile started to form ``Are you ordering me, captain?´´

``Do you have a problem with that?´´ She said cautiously placing her arms under her chest, she did not like the way that smugness was starting to grow, it was as it was a game for him.

``Well…..in that case I can't do so, my lady´´

Her ears grew slightly more tense, her brows frowned as she took a step closer. Blue meeting orange in a silent yet brief stand off.

``Why not….´´ She demanded, her tone leaving no room for discussion.

``Because I am actually your superior…..or did you actually forget?´´ Finally, there was a tone of mirth showing in those emotionless orange eyes, a weak and grotesque line forming around the edges of his lips.

He was laughing.

He was laughing at her.

The room echoed with the suddenness of her strike, her hand leaving a burning imprint on the right side of his face before she grabbed him by the collar of his outfit and lifted him slightly from the ground with her bare arms. Snarling out in anger at him, her fangs showing.

``Do you think this is funny!? That this is a joke!?´´

He merely shrugged. ``Hmpff….I shall wear it as a badge of honor´´

``Wear it on silence or I will honor you again….´´ She mutters, her words icy cold.

``And where would be the fun in that?´´

Her grip started to tighten, a vein slowly popping on her forehead as she was met with nothing but mockery from the Ranger Lord, a growing smirk forming on his face as he contemplated his handywork.

Beloree this man was infuriating.

``Another sassy remark comes out from your mouth and I swear to you that I will-

``That you what? Sue me? Denounce me to the general because you feel sad? Go on! Captain, the doors are right there. Show me what you really have become…. ´´

``Why you!´´ She growled in anger as she reeled back her fist, ready to wipe out that condescending smug from his stupid face, but before she could do so, she was stopped in place. His right hand had taken hold of her fist, catching it mere centimeters from his face before his remaining hand struck at her bare neck.

She really had not expected it, though now she had more important things to worry about.

The sudden lack of air forced mixed with the pain and the coughing forced her to drop her grasp of him, bringing her hands around her neck in an attempt to bring some relief to the wounded flesh. This to her distress left her open for opportunity, one that the human used to his advantage when he kicked her square in the chest, sending her on her back on the floor.

``You are easily distracted today, no…..?´´ He then stopped and shook his head, a frown on his face ``No, no….its true, I am wrong, you have been like this for quite some time, I am right?´´ He replied smugly, slowly taking a step forward.

She grunted, tears falling down her face by the lack of oxygen filling her lungs while she fought the grim possibility of swallowing her own tongue in the struggled, Light knew that she had been once an unwilling spectator of such event back in her trainee years.

She glared at him hatefully, desiring to rebuke him, to tell him to go fuck himself with a stag but the only thing that left her lips was nothing but a hoarse growl. She continued to crawl herself backwards until she found her back hit a hard obstacle.

It hurt but her attention was mostly focused in finding what was behind her. A quick glance was all that it took. Her sisters tombstone. In an instant she fell in panic when her eyes landed on the statue above. Fear that the motion would throw the statue of balance from its pedestal to the ground, or worse, on her. Luckily, it seemed still locked in place, the flowers and the candles remained in place as well.

The candles….

It was then that a thought dawned in her mind, immediately she looks back at the present danger. Nathanos was still approaching her, slowly, with no real haste, his eyes focused on her face, not her arms.

``Twenty five years…..wasted, you should know better than to waste time…..´´

Come closer fucker…. Just a little more..

``Yet again, I suppose that you elves have a different mindset when it comes to time, that and our short live spams….always thinking that you have time…..´´

He continued to , each step echoing over the room, until he stopped three meters away from her. Finally, Nathanos was at a perfect distance from her.

``What? No biting remarks captain? No valiant declarations? I have to admit that I was hoping for more….´´ He muttered with disappointment.

``Take that...´´

``What? I dint quite hear you´´ He replied smugly, tilting his head forward once he caught some sort of notice of her words.

He was about to regret that.

Her mouth opened up once again, her eyes fixated on him yet instead of the reply that he was more than ready to expect she brought her arm forward, throwing at him a small yet thick white cylinder smeared in what appeared to be oil and a small flame on its top. In slow motion his eyes widened, realization striking him as he knew what was about to happen. More by reflex than actual processing of the threat he rose his arms forward in an attempt to protect his face from the burning candle.

His efforts granted him a half way result. He did protect his face from it, but the used oil that was part of the object had smeared its thickly substance all over his cloth. An undesirable situation, though not that bad had it not be by the burning stick attached to the candle. Making his blue, gold ranger outfit to rapidly burst into flames when it came in contact with it.

``Fuck! He cried out in panic, waving his arms rapidly to the sides as he tried to put down the flames inefficiently before he decided to take off his cloak before it could do any lasting damage to his body. She did not waste her opportunity, placing her arms on her knees she slowly stood up, it took her a few seconds of struggle before she managed to stumble forward without an issue. The sensation of drowning on her own spit was still there, but with all going on, it was but a minor inconvenience.

As she moved forward, she was forced to duck her head to the left, to avoid the burning embers of the Rangers Lords cloak that he had thrown at her in an effort to win time to reposition himself, she wasn't gonna let him.

Before he could utter another curse she sprinted at him, taking a few long strides was all that it took for her to be upon him. At the last second he placed his left arm between them, using it as a meat shield to protect his face as he lowered his stance, ready to meet her.

The sensation of her slender fingers brushing with force against the elven plate was an undesirable feeling, yet she did not stop from committing to the act, increasing the strike with her own momentum. If she showed weakness, he would sniff it out from her in an instant, like the dog he was.

The strike alone would not have moved him more than a few steps back had she not followed it with a kick on his lower regions, fairly unprotected. Gasping for breath, he stumble backwards, aimlessly as if drunk, a low grunt of pain the only thing that came from him.

Yet be whether the armor plating had dulled the impact or the years of brutal training under the corp he threw himself forward. Way faster than it should have been possible for a man wearing armor. Quickly, he forced her to back away.

His arms moved fluidly, thrusting his fists into a punch at her stomach and right shoulder. The first one she dodged to the left, only the sensation of air brushing around told her how close it had come, the second one hit right in her arm as she used to block it and redirect it away before she punished his advance with a blow to his side with her knee.

The hit alone managed to create some distance between the two, but it may have been for her rapid response rather than any kind of damage. He hufs in annoyance, tapping his side for a few seconds while she feels a dull pain settle on her leg.

``I barely felt a thing…..´´ He growled.

``Then why you don't come at me? Afraid I may bite?´´

Immediately, he answered in kind, his gauntlet hands aiming for both her neck and stomach. She quickly side stepped, allowing the strikes miss their goals entirely before ramming her own left hand at his side.

Normally one would not engage a foe who was fully armored and armed, especially when taking into account the that she was unarmored nor wearing any sort of body protection. Yet Nathanos had not made full use of these advantages, yet. Which meant that at that point that the only thing that truly mattered was who was faster.

She barely blocked a hook to the left with her right arm, the faint pang of pain quickly ignored as she collided abruptly with him. Sending both of them to the floor in a rather violent manner, with the sound of metal and flesh crashing on the stone floor in the process.

She was the first to stand up again, by the time he was halfway her fist was mid way his face. Her fist struck, the soft crunch of her knuckles smashing against his right cheek echoed in her ears, long before he muttered a grunt of pain escaping his lips. The very motion moved not just his head, but his body on his entirety, but before he could slip away her grasp she caught his right arm and pull him back at her before hitting his forehead with her left hand on the other side of his head, this time sending him on his back.

A grin formed around her lips as she saw how he struggled to hold his head in place, that would teach him not to mess with her. Who did he thought he was? Meddling in her business and now assaulting her? The nerve.

Oddly enough, hitting him seemed therapeutic….

``Had enough?´´ She taunted, still maintaining a half ready stance as she waited for his response, deserving or not of a full beating she just could not strike him down that unless in self defense.

``Ha! You hit like a child, trained by amateurs I see...´´ He muttered calmly, standing up from the floor. Dark red bruises starting to form around the zones she had struck.

That wasn't what she wanted to hear, though she should have expected it, he had always been stubborn like a mule. He really is a pain in the ass…. `` You really don't know when to quit, do you, Marris….?

``You really don't know when to quit whining either, do you?´´ He shot back.

Her hands clenched into tight fists, her nails digging into her flesh. If glares could kill she would have slain the Ranger Lord a few times already, which only managed to increase that shit eating grin of his. He knew damn well he could piss her off and that only increased her anger, both at him and herself for allowing it so.

``You asked for this...´´ She growled at him.

``Shut up already and come at me, scary cat´´ He replied impatiently.

Her eyes twitched, her breath hitched for a second while her muscles tensed. She would not disappoint him, with three long strides she cut short the distance between the two, yet before she did, she managed to hear him mutter something under his breath.

``Tch….too emotional´´

She ignored them, dusting them away as nothing but another petty comment of the wretched little man before her. She shook her head internally, in the end it would not be long before she shut him down for good. Men like him only understood two things, authority or strength, and it was clear what she lacked.

She aimed her fist at his lower abdomen, the metal plating not protecting that thin layer of cloth between his chest and his waist, but to her surprise, he blocked her with his left arm, then swing back at her, barely missing.

Another thrust at both his face and neck, the muscles down her leg tensing with anticipation. Her fist did little against his chest plate, his forearms proving as well a sturdy defense, more so than she anticipated in the first place. Only managing to barely square a good hit over his lower jaw, prompting her to commit further with a kick by the lack of success instead of taking a step back as she would have done.

A loud crunch echoing through the room as a result.

Not bad but not good enough.

``Come on! Even that decrepit old man of Theron fights better than this!´´ He bellowed cynically.

His words only continued to feed the burning pyre of rightful anger laying withing her, forcing a roar leave her mouth as she charge back at him. Had she not been clouded by it, perhaps she may had realized the ploy behind them. He merely smiled at her.

It was chaotic, a mess of blurs and flesh as she tried to crack open his stubborn defense, droplets of sweat falling down her forehead, their trails. She aimed another punch at his throat, but it was too telegraphed, allowing him to caught it in mid air before he and throw her of balance, something that on its own would not be much had he not then kicked her.

A groan of pain left her lips when her back and head hit the ground simultaneously. She barely had any time to make a coherent though as she saw spotted the reversed form of Nathanos rise up his left arm.

More by reflex than by actual reasoning she tilted her head to the right, just in time as his hand fell down. Missing to carve her skull open as the air brushed around her, instead his fist struck the ground below, the frail stone cracking under the pressure while she heard as well the low growl of pain from the human ranger, after all, armor or not one does not slams their fist against a rock.

She wasted no time to retaliate, bashing her elbow on his forehead managed to pushed him further away, enough distance for her to stand up and meet head on his charge. Yet instead of blocking she grabbed him by the waist and with his very own momentum threw him towards the closest pillar.

Faint cracks appearing on its once delicate surface when he collided with it, more appearing by the moment when she kicked him back at it when he tried to come back.

Got you She smirked triumphantly as her first fell down, nothing able to stop it this time as it collided with its intended target.

The sound of a few cracks emanating from it made her smile, even if they had been barely perceptible it meant that it had done some damage, hearing him lose his breath in a sudden gasp was nothing but an awaited confirmation.

But her satisfaction was short lived when she caught the faint glimpse of his right arm going up, his hand clenched into a tight fist. Panic arose within her, quickly trying to evade the blow she backtracked, but much to her misfortune, his remaining arm got a tight grasp on her arm, his fingers digging over her sleeves as they kept her locked in place.

Pulling her towards him.

Sh-

She barely had any time react before he bashed her head with an uppercut, a full plated fist striking right below her jaws. Sending her on her back on the cold floor like a rag doll, just like she had done to him no long ago.

Her back, her head, and her teeth hurt terribly, not very different from those times Alleria had knocked her down with one arm. Yet she knew she was not down for good. Slowly, she stood up, her eyes never losing sight of him. A sour metallic taste started to appear in her mouth. She spat a gobble of blood to the ground before she wiped it off with her hand.

``Oh come on, its this all? I expected more from The captain….I guess standards have fallen down a bit. Peace tends to make people….mushy´´

"You are weak, undisciplined, not cut for this life"

``How you dare to wear that mantle when you can't even defend yourself? Shame on you´´

The amalgamation of voices cried at her, their pettiness mixed with their cruel laughing, bringing a never ending tide of noise to erupt inside her.

``Shut up, shut up, shut up! She yelled frantically, grabbing a handful of her hair in the process as she rocked her head back and forth.

``Oh…, did I strike a nerve? How frightfully….predictable´´ He sneered, cackling loudly from the distance.

It was then that both her eyes open wide, locked in place at him, seeing red. Later she would admit with great surprise how she had not believe possible the speed she gained in that sole instant. How between the flick of a light she cut down the distance between the two.

Uncaring of the way her muscles and bones slowly cried out for this punishment. High solely on the adrenaline coursing her veins, dulling her pain to a barely perceptible ache over her skin. Useful for a brawl, but not so much when it came for deep thoughts and strategy, her mind now purely going on instinct.

She should had known that he was goading her, that his words were meant to stab at her soul more than anything else, lit the fire inside her. He wanted her enraged, ruthless, dangerous….. yet predictable.

It was a mistake to go forward like this, with her fist already rise high behind her head, but she could not care less, mistake or not it was hers to make.

And she would pay for it.

She thrust with all the force she could muster, her hand descending in a wide arc….., yet it did not collide with him, nor any part of his body at all much to her shock and disappointment, for he had side stepped to the left just as she had taken her last step, allowing for her arm to fly harmlessly over his shoulder plate.

Though not for long.

Before she knew it, he got hold of her left arm and trap it with his own, then he brought it all down, twisting it. She could feel the muscles grow tense with the , the bones crying out, threatening to snap.

``So much rage, so much will, but no control…...truly a pity, it needs direction´´

``So says the man who is assaulting me for no reason apparent?´´ She sneered back at him.

He did not replied, instead he brought down his elbow over her arm.

She could hear it, the way the bones and muscles gave way by this sudden force, dislocating it on the process, quickly giving way to a more than known burning sensation.

She did not cried out, not a word left her mouth but a weak gasp for breath as she fell to the ground. Nathanos seeing not necessary to keep holding her after such a blow, taking a few steps away from her, coughing for a while.

She used her remaining arm to held her now unresponsive limb, trying to nurse it back to its right place while she fought back the stubborn seeking attention pain that burning brightly around it.

``What a terrible spectacle, what did I say? So much rage, but no control….I bet that your dead brother must be very disappointed in you, and why wouldn't he? You are nothing but a broken wreck….an animal that lashes out at anything that disturbs you without concern, or strategy...´´

``Don't! She snarls, her fangs showing, her arm burning like she had placed under a bonfire as she popped the bone back in place. Chewing her lips tightly, muffing the yelp of pain as she slowly rose from the ground. It was nothing-….not when compared to what she had already going through, she took a step forward, her hands clenching, yet shaking…..

"He is right isn't he? He would already be dead if you were not…."

"Lirath deserved better…."

He blocked her swing, slamming his right elbow against her side while grabbing the collar of her shirt with his remaining hand. Pulling her right over him in an instant.

She knew that he would not allow her arms any freedom of movement.

She wanted that.

``Unfocused, drag down by unnecessary sentiments….you truly are a failure, no wonder that they all ended up d-….´´ His words were cut short when his nose was crushed into a bloody pulp when she headbutt him, staggering him a few steps backs. His right hand waving in spams as he tried to recover his balance while the other went to hold the bloodshed coming down his now reduced nose.

She did not give him such luxury.

Immediately she threw herself forward, grasping and pulling the arm he was using to cover his nose towards her before she punched him again at his wrecked face, just right where she had headbutt him. Causing him to growl in pain and blood to splatter both her fist and the ground in the process. He would be lucky if he had a nose after this.

There was no finesse to her attacks, nor any sort of plan behind each successful hit, now she only wanted to hurt him. Break him. He tried to push her away with a left hook, aimed at her neck, but in truth he was looking to hit at her abdomen with his other arm.

To his apparent surprise, she allowed it to connect, the pain stung and she may have spilled some spit to the floor, but contrary to his expectations, she did not back away as she thrust her fist right in his face, just right below his left eye, followed with a bash to the side of his head with her elbow, sending him spinning.

The mere momentum should have been enough to knock out a common man and left him in pain for a few hours.

Too bad that Marris was anything but common.

For in the spur of the moment between his spins he managed to grabbed her by the waist, fingers digging tightly on the fabric, before she knew he used his own momentum to reap her from the ground and spin her around.

Only to throw her flying in a moments notice.

Though not for long.

A muted gasp of breath left her mouth when she could feel her body collide against the hard surface of one of the pylars. The way the world seemed to slow down in that very moment would have been funny had it not allowed her to feel without restrictions the way her spine was starting to bend on in pact, slowly yet methodically.

A burning warmth spreading through her body, foretelling a massive bruise in the making.

And the next second she was face down on the cold floor. Or was she? The world around her did keep on spinning.

``I must admit I have to give it you…. that was something, but it´s starting to become a real pain, girl…... ´´ He said, his words echoing like clashing steel before he brought a hand towards his head, quickly flinching before pulling down his hand, a fresh smear of blood staining the gauntlets. ``Seriously…..you seem to have a gross obsession with my face, what? Stricken by my beauty?´´

Perhaps because its one of the few places not covered by plate? ``What can I say….your so hideous that I only wish to wipe it from it. Who knows….perhaps it would be for the better….´´ She muttered as she held her head with one hand.

``Defiant to the end, eh…..? I don't know whether to be grateful or annoyed...but Lights sake you have left a bunch of bells ringing inside my skull´´

If only there were more…. ``Then what are you waiting for? And invitation?´´ She spatted.

A smirk warped around his lips, or what she assumed was suppose to be one. It was an ugly twisted thing, as if a kind had carved it. Then the chuckles began. ``Good, because I am going to enjoy this…..very very much´´ He said maliciously, cracking his knuckles as he took a step forward.

``And what makes you think I am going to allo-shit!´´ She exclaimed when he sprinted right at her, grabbing her and lifting her from the ground before ramming her with all the force and momentum he still had against the wall. Cracks spreading in a spiderweb manner.

Spit falling from her lips between each rapid gaps for breath as what could only be described as a fire spread through her already battered and sore back, as if she had forgotten her spine column treatment form just a moment a go.

And then he started pulling back, his intention all too known for her.

What is he a bull!? She thought with mixed bitterness and exasperation, her feet still dangling off the ground, useless to stop his primitive strategy as long as he remained to hold her up.

Though at least, she could do something about it…..

And something she did. Grasping tightly both of her hands and smashing them both just on the posterior of his skull.

One…

Twice…

Thrice..

On and on, feeling with each strike the numbness overtaking her fingers as they descended once again.

And yet he did not relent, it wasn't that it was not effective. She knew that she was doing something, each barely held grunt leaving his broken lips, each adding second for his legs to sprang back to action.

It wasn't that her efforts were futile whatsoever…. just that he did not care on the slightest.

Ain´t that a bitch?

He really doesn't know when to stay down...

It was only when the man tripped over his feet in another of his charges thanks to her deciding to plunge her fingers as deep as she could inside his ears, with the two crashing down the floor that she managed to free herself from his grasp.

She wished that she had fallen on the other end though, her legs trembling slightly at first as they tried to held her hunched form against the wall, its recent cracks now loudly falling to pieces on the floor, spreading rubble on the once pristine floor.

It seemed that everything was falling apart around her, again eh? A grimace deepened on her lips as she caught a glance of the human rising back up again.

What is he made of? Steel!? She thought in exasperation, her ribs aching with each ragged breath as she leaned against the cold flat surface. Her eyes following his movements.

She fought back another pained gasp as she clumsily leaned with the bruised side of her back. She did not like it, not at all...but could she do? She was quickly getting out of options and the man stubbornly refused to fall against all odds.

Nathanos was already taking another stance, though she noted the way his body weight was starting to lean to the right.

If only she had a weapon…..something else than her fists to use…..something sturdy….

It was then that her eyes picked again the sight of the broken chunks of stone laying underneath her feet. Only one thought crossing her mind as her fingers grabbed one of the largest pieces from the ground, regarding it with a new found interest and respect before she grabbed it more tightly.

I guess I should not be picky with what is given to me…..

``Did you have enough time for contemplation or are you gonna speak to that thing as well!?

She did not know whether to laugh or scoff at the poor attempt, though she did humor him with her attention. A bitter smile warping around the edges of her lips.

``Alright Marris…., its time to end this. Once and for all…..´´
