Chapter 15: Exams
A girl with long, black hair that reached down to her ankles and red eyes was wearing a black sleeveless shirt with a white collar, red gauntlets with black gloves, a skirt, a red tie, and black sandals that stopped below her knees. She had a black hitai-ate wrapped around her waist with two curves that looked like hills. She was holding a black katana with a red hilt and the tip of the blade was dark purple.
Across from the girl, was another girl, but she had long light blue hair and blue eyes. She was wearing a slim white coat with long black sleeves showing some of her cleavage, a black tattoo on her chest, a black choker, black boots that stopped at the middle of her thighs, and the white cap she was wearing with a metal plate embedded in it that had the same symbol. She was holding a katana with a white handle.
The girl with light blue hair sighed. "Akame… put away your Muramasame…"
"Okay," the girl across from her complied as she sheathed her dark katana and brought out another katana. This one was a little smaller than her Muramasame and had a golden handle.
"You're not using Kiriichimonji either," the light bluenette said with a deadpan look.
"Okay." Akame sheathed her second sword and brought out a third one. This sword looked like any ordinary katana, but this one was more durable.
The light bluenette smiled in content. "Perfect, now it's more even, I don't want to get cut by that, you know."
Akame nodded and readied her blade. The bluenette across from her did the same. They both stared down at each other before Akame was the first to move, or rather, disappeared in a flash. The bluenette quickly put her blade up and metal clashing could be heard right as Akame appeared in front of her, in a stalemate. The girl pushed Akame back, and it was slightly working before Akame stopped her from gaining the advantage.
The noirette tried sweeping her leg, but the bluenette stopped her from doing so with her leg. The bluenette then jumped away and put her hand forward.
"Ice Release: Crystal Magnitude!" The ground rumbled before many large crystals of ice shot up from the ground. Akame jumped away before a crystal impaled her and began dodging the uprooting crystals with ease.
Akame jumped back and a crystal shot up behind her. The noirette did a backflip before landing on the ice and jumping back.
"Yang Release: Meihou Lacerate." With a quick slash from Akame's blade, all of the crystals that were made instantly cut in half. The bluenette ducked to avoid getting sliced and ran forward. She hopped on a cut crystal and jumped high in the air.
She then proceeded to make the Ram → Monkey → Dragon → Rat → Bird hand seals. "Wind Release Sword Technique: Kuuren!" The bluenette pulled her sword back as wind began circulating around her blade, forming a drill. She then thrusted forward and the air shot off of her sword, towards Akame. The noirette sidestepped out of the way of the drill and it crashed into the ground by burrowing through and creating a tunnel. It stopped and exploded, making the tunnel bigger. Akame looked at the bluenette to see her stab her sword into the ground.
"Ice Release Sword Technique: Arctic Zone!" The ground around the katana was quickly converted to ice and it spread out. Akame looked around to see that the ice reached pretty far. She then looked back at the bluenette and tilted her head.
"Hyoshi… is this really necessary?" Akame wondered.
"Of course it is! What kind of question is that?" Hyoshi responded as she crossed her arms under her chest.
"Well… what about Aoika, Kuroka, Shisu, and Kiryu? They're training against each other as well and this ice goes a pretty far distance," Akame mentioned as she looked at the ice.
"They'll be fine, it doesn't go that far," Hyoshi dismissed with a hand wave. She then readied her katana. "Now, let's continue."
"Okay." Akame put her left hand on the ice and she spread her legs apart as she put her right arm behind her. She inhaled and closed her eyes. Hyoshi looked at her skeptically. This was new to her.
Akame exhaled and her eyes shot open. "Meihou: Moonlight." A symbol that looked like the moon appeared below Akame and glowed. The moon grew bigger until it was under both Akame and Hyoshi. The light gleamed brighter, and it blinded the bluenette.
"Shit!" She cursed, trying to clear her vision but it wasn't working. Meanwhile, Akame pushed off the ground and appeared behind Hyoshi, standing with her sword about to be sheathed.
"I win, Hyoshi," Akame told.
"I can never win against you, can I, Akame?" Hyoshi asked with a smirk, finally clearing her vision. "This bout was shorter than our last one. You're getting faster in defeating me."
Akame smiled a little and nodded. "Mm." Hyoshi snapped her fingers and the ice got sucked back into the hole her katana made.
"You ready for the Chuunin Exams? They're a week from now," Hyoshi reminded her black haired friend behind her.
"Yes, I am. Are you?" Akame replied.
"Of course! I can't wait to see the competition. And, maybe I'll find someone interesting… you never know, maybe you'll find someone interesting too. Kami knows you need-GAH! YOU BITCH!" A large slash appeared on Hyoshi's side as Akame sheathed her katana with a small frown. Hyoshi quickly covered it with her arm.
"Better get it treated, Hyoshi. It looks bad," Akame advised before walking off.
"Oh come on! What I said couldn't have been that bad!" Hyoshi shouted after Akame, but the noirette continued walking away.
'Mystical Palm Technique.' Hyoshi's hand started glowing green as she moved it over her wound. 'Did she really have to cut me that deep…?'
A girl with short blonde hair with two tufts that framed her face, and golden eyes was standing in front of another girl that had short and wavy black hair, green eyes with wide black slits, sharp teeth, and x marks on her cheeks. The blonde was wearing a tube top with detached white sleeves, a white scarf, white pants, and black boots with her hitai-ate around her waist. The noirette was wearing a green long sleeve crop top with black leggings and black sandals and also had her hitai-ate around her waist. She had a hand on her hip.
"Shisu, your move, girl," the noirette said with a smirk.
"Alright Kiryu, but if you lose in the first minute, don't blame me!" Shisu shouted as she dashed forward. Kiryu got in a defensive stance as Shisu jumped in the air and swiped down at Kiryu's arms, but instead of being greeted with a scratch mark or blood, sparks flew off her exposed arm.
Shisu jumped back and she narrowed her eyes. Kiryu had scales on her arm. 'So she's already using her kekkei genkai? Alrighty!'
The blonde smiled widely before crouching down. "Wild Lion Rush!" Shisu sprinted forward and once she was close, began clawing at Kiryu rapidly. Kiryu was deflecting all of the hits, but they eventually became too fast for her to track. The noirette put her arms up in an x formation and when Shisu clashed with her arms, Kiryu took a deep breath.
'Hot Flaming Breath!' Kiryu then blew out a large stream of fire at Shisu. The blonde's eyes widened and she ducked then rolled out of the way. Kiryu followed her movements and exhaled more, making the stream go farther and wider. Shisu began doing backflips and soon got a safe distance away from Kiryu's flames.
"Fire Release: Great Dragon Fire Technique!" Shisu's eyes widened as she saw the flames split apart and a dragon head made of fire shot through towards Shisu. The blonde did a back handspring and in the middle of it, kicked her legs forward and followed through the motion by pushing off of her hands simultaneously. The blonde avoided the dragon head, but then instantly got hit by a fireball, making her fly back. She hit a tree, then got hit by the dragon head and flew through the tree, but then she was replaced by a log.
'Body Replacement,' Kiryu noted as she looked around to find her opponent.
"Lionelle Hunting Ground." The noirette's eyes widened and she frantically looked around to try and find Shisu, but couldn't. In a flash, the blonde appeared in front of Kiryu and punched her gut. The girl spat saliva out as she flew back. She was then kicked in the side and changed directions, but was instantly kicked in the stomach and flew higher in the air. Shisu appeared above her and clamped her hands together before putting them over her head. Kiryu grit her teeth and she flipped around, surprising Shisu.
"Spark Trap!" The noirette scratched her arm and produced sparks before throwing her hand at Shisu. The sparks flew up and blinded her.
"Ow, fuck!" She cursed, trying to clear her vision.
"Fire Release: Dragon Flame Technique!" Kiryu spat out a large flame that barreled towards Shisu. The flame hit her and she let out a scream as she got sent flying back. Kiryu landed on the ground and watched as Shisu barely recovered. The blonde had burn marks on some parts of her body and was bleeding.
Kiryu smirked at her sparring partner. "You sure you can continue, Shisu? You look like shit."
Shisu just stared at Kiryu as she was taking deep breaths. 'Lion Glare.' Shisu took a deep breath and closed her eyes. As she inhaled, she opened her golden eyes which were now slits. Kiryu froze for a second as she saw a giant lion behind Shisu, glaring at her with yellow eyes.
The blonde didn't waste any time and ran forward while Kiryu was dazed. She grabbed the noirette's face and spun around before throwing her forward. Shisu quickly appeared in front of Kiryu and kneed her chin, then grabbed her legs and flipped with her before throwing her towards the ground.
As Kiryu hit the ground, Shisu did an axe kick and made a small crater using Kiryu. After the blonde was done, she did a back handspring and looked at her downed partner who coughed up blood.
"You look like shit," Shisu noticed with a smirk. "Did I break a rib?"
"S… Shut the fuck up and help me," Kiryu demanded. Shisu chuckled before grabbing Kiryu's hand and helping her stand up.
"These Chuunin Exams are gonna be easy."
"You said it. These genin won't know what hit 'em," Kiryu agreed with a toothy smirk.
Two black haired girls were engaged in close quarters combat. One was wearing a red waist-length kimono, black arm warmers, light red pants, and red boots. She had her hair in a bun with two strands framing her face and had dull, golden eyes.
The other girl she was fighting against was wearing a gray, long sleeve shirt with a black stripe over her chest area, black skirt over black leggings, and black boots. Her hair reached down to her waist and she had purple eyes.
The girl with golden eyes slapped a fist away before throwing a punch with the same hand. The purple-eyed girl easily caught the fist, but then the other one pulled back, making her stumble forward. The golden-eyed girl went for a kick to her opponent's side, but she twisted out of the way of the kick and threw the golden-eyed girl away. The golden-eyed girl flipped herself over and landed on the trunk of a tree. She then made the Tiger → Snake hand seals.
"Plasma Release: Limelight!" She blew in before breathing out and a white light surrounded by a blue aura quickly shot out of her mouth and towards her opponent. The purple-eyed girl's eyes widened before she quickly made the Tiger → Snake → Rat → Snake → Tiger hand seals.
"Water Release: Water Formation Wall!" She then spat out water at her feet and it quickly circled around her before it rose in front of her and created a wall. The water wall successfully blocked the plasma shot from reaching her.
"Lightning Tarp!" The purple-eyed girl heard her opponent shout, then she saw lightning covering her water wall.
She frowned before making the Hare → Bird → Dog → Monkey → Boar → Snake hand seals. "Plasma Release: Static Rejuvenation!" She slammed her hand against her water wall and light purple lightning surrounded by a dark purple aura was transmitted to the water before being shot out and towards the golden-eyed girl frantically. She only smirked as she jumped back and out of the purple lightning's range, but then her eyes widened.
"Plasma Release: Dokessho!" The golden-eyed girl watched as her opponent's eyes glowed a light purple and in her hand was a ball of light purple and dark purple. The girl then threw the ball as fast as she could at the golden-eyed girl.
The golden-eyes girl quickly made the Tiger → Snake → Tiger hand seals and slammed her hands on the ground.
'Plasma Release: Heavenly Pillar!' A pillar of white plasma shot up from the ground in front of her. She soon heard a sizzling sound which could only indicate her technique successfully stopped her opponent's Dokessho. She put down the pillar only to have to roll to the side from a punch. She pushed off of her arm and got back on her feet to face her opponent.
"Smart of you to use your technique as a distraction," the golden-eyed girl praised.
"There was no way you were dodging my Dokessho, especially since I had my sights on you, so your only option was to use the Heavenly Pillar," the purple-eyes girl explained with a smile. "You done or no, Aoika?"
The girl named Aoika smirked. "Don't think you've won so easily, Kuroka, we're just getting started after all."
Kuroka smirked as she got in an offensive stance. "Good."
Hiruzen Sarutobi was in his office, reading papers and signing them with dread. Why were there so many papers needed to be signed and especially a week before the Chuunin Exams?
Unfortunately, he couldn't get the answer to his question once he heard a knock at his door. He looked up.
"Come in," the old man permitted and the door opened to reveal a scarred teacher. "Ah, Iruka, how nice to see you."
The Academy teacher smiled before closing his door. "It's good to see you too, Lord Hokage." He quickly bowed and walked up to the Sandaime's desk.
"Why have you come to see me?" Hiruzen asked.
"Because of this. We received a letter from someone claiming themselves as the Heishokage and they want to enter two teams into the Chuunin Exams," Iruka explained as he gave Hiruzen the note. The Sandaime read the note and raised an eyebrow as he continued reading its contents.
"I've never heard of this… Heishokage before. What's his name and where is he located?" Hiruzen asked the teacher.
"Well, the Heishokage's name is Seno, and they're located in Heisho no Kuni (Land of Plains) where So no Kuni (Land of Ancestors) used to be," Iruka informed the Sandaime. "And there is a hidden village there too called Sanyagakure no Sato (Village Hidden by Hills and Plains)."
Hiruzen hummed as he stared at the paper for a few more seconds before folding it and placing it on his desk. "Alright, they can join the exams."
"A-Are you sure about this, Lord Hokage?" Iruka checked. "We don't know these guys and they just appeared out of nowhere."
"Every village has to start from somewhere, no? If they so choose to increase in strength then that's fine, as long as they don't try to attack us, it should fine," Hiruzen said as he rested his elbows on the desk.
Iruka nodded. "I understand, Lord Hokage."
"Good. If that's all, you may leave."
"Hai." Iruka left the Hokage Office, and after he did, Hiruzen looked at the note from the core net of his eye.
'Sanyagakure, huh? I wonder how strong their genin will be.'
Naruto was sitting on his father's head at the Hokage Monument. Hanabi and Hinata were to meet him there and discuss something important. He couldn't tell what it was, but he only hoped it was something good and nothing bad.
He laid down on the stone head and looked up in the sky. He rethought the past few weeks and how hectic they'd been… especially with his new girlfriends.
"Share him?! The hell do you mean by that?!" Kin questioned, glaring at the Anbu kunoichi.
"You heard me loud and clear. I told you you might not like the idea," Cat responded with a shrug.
"Yeah, cause that sounds ridiculous! Why would we have to share him?!" Kin inquired as she crossed her arms and narrowed her eyes at Yugao.
The Anbu sighed before turning around and looking at Naruto. "Hey, Naruto, if you were to choose one of these girls to be your girlfriend… who would it be?"
The whiskered blonde's eyes widened as he looked at his previous sensei. "Huh?"
"I said: if you were to choose one of these girls to be your girlfriend… who would it be?" Cat repeated herself.
Naruto looked past her and at the girls who raised their hands. He stared at all of them for a few moments, making them blush since he was taking so long to decide.
"I… I can't decide. They'd all be perfect for me, Cat-sensei," Naruto finally responded, which made the girls look at him in shock.
Cat turned around and looked at them. "And this is what I meant by 'sharing Naruto.' Do you understand now?"
"W-Wait… but how would this even work out? We all like him, and he likes all of us…" Temari wondered.
"Easy. You all become his girlfriends."
"Huh?!" The girls questioned in unison.
Cat sighed again. "Listen. You all like him, he likes you all. Simple answer is: you all become his girlfriends, he becomes your girls' boyfriend. That way, everyone is happy and no one gets their little heart broken."
"But… the idea of sharing one person…-"
"I don't mind," Hinata spoke, causing the girls to look at her.
"Huh? What do you mean by that, Hinata?" Temari asked as she looked at the older Hyuuga.
"I mean, I don't care how many girlfriends Naruto has or wants. All I really want is him and him only. The other stuff doesn't matter to me, plus, I can make more friends if he gets more girlfriends," Hinata explained with a shrug and a smile.
"But what if Naruto doesn't have the time for you 'cause he's spending it with one of us?" Kin asked with a raised eyebrow.
"If that's the case, he can send a clone to me and I'll still be just as happy," the bluenette answered.
"But isn't that… I dunno, wrong in some way? Like… he just didn't care enough and sent a clone, ya know?" Hanabi asked with an uncertain shrug.
"Of course not. I know that Naruto cares about me deeply. If he didn't, he'd say it to me because that's who he is. He's honest like that. And, a clone is just as good as the original. They act and do the same as the original would, so I don't see a problem with that," Hinata answered with a raised chin.
"Well… when you put it like that… it doesn't sound that bad at all," Temari spoke as she thought about the Hyuuga's words.
"I can get behind that!" Moegi exclaimed, drawing the eyes on her.
"Hold on missy, you're gonna have to wait," Cat said as she put her arm up.
"W-What?! Why?!" Moegi questioned, sending Cat a cute glare.
"Because, you're still a kid. Wait until you're a little older just to make sure that you absolutely like Naruto. Your feelings can waver easily at your age," Cat explained to the little girl, who pouted and crossed her arms.
"Fine…" Moegi complied. Hanabi looked at the orange haired girl with a smirk.
"That goes for you too, Hyuuga," Cat told as she pointed at Hanabi.
The girl's eyes widened. "W-What?! B-But I kissed Naruto already! I shouldn't have to wait!"
Yugao looked at her and crossed her arms. "And? I see a bunch of kids your age kiss each other no problem, your case could be the same."
"W-B-Thats not true at all!" Hanabi denied.
"You're waiting."
"No!"
"Hanabi," Naruto said, catching the girl's attention. "Just wait, okay? Time will fly by before you even know it and… you'll be with me. I'm not going anywhere."
"But… what if you don't like me anymore…?" Hanabi asked, growing more saad at the negative thought.
"When you're old enough, we'll hang out and see what happens, alright? Don't think of the bad things just yet," Naruto responded with a warm smile.
The younger Hyuuga looked at Naruto before looking down and sighing sadly. "Fine…"
Yugao silently sighed, thankful for Naruto's words
Kin sighed, catching everyone's attention. "Alright then, I'm in. This can't be so bad, right?"
"Not with Naruto it can't," Hinata added, making the noirette chuckle.
"I'm all for it," Haku voiced with a smile, getting nods of approval from the other girls.
"Okay then, it's settled. But, on one condition," Cat said as she put her hands together.
"And what condition is that?" Temari wondered, raising an eyebrow.
"I get to be one of Naruto's girlfriends," Cat answered, surprising everyone.
"... And why's that…?" Kin asked.
"Why else do you think I said that?" Cat asked as she tilted her head.
It only took a second for the girls to realize why she said that.
"Oh…"
The blonde sighed. It was a crazy few weeks for sure. Between going on lots of dates with his girlfriends to training Sakura, Kin, and Temari, to helping Haku with her studies from time to time, to helping the KNS with their training, and helping Hanabi here and there, kept the blonde busy. But, he enjoyed doing it as long as it made them happy.
Naruto was brought out of his thoughts when he heard two sets of footsteps coming closer to him. He opened his eyes as he sat up and looked behind himself to see Hinata and Hanabi. Naruto smiled brightly and waved at them, they returned the greeting and sat next to him.
"Hello Hinata and Hanabi," Naruto said, giving Hinata a peck on the cheek. She slightly blushed at the gesture.
"Hello, Naruto," Hinata softly greeted, hugging his arm.
Hey," Hanabi greeted after her sister.
"So, what'd you girls have to tell me?" Naruto asked as he looked at the sisters.
"A few weeks ago, when Hanabi was being a bitch-" this made Hanabi glare at Hinata "-we noticed something on your right arm-or rather, your whole right arm is black, and we want to know why," Hinata answered as she looked at Naruto's right arm.
The blonde's eyes slightly widened. 'Of course, they must've been using their Byakugan at the time and caught a glimpse of it… fuck…"
"Tell them," Kirai spoke.
'A-Are you sure, Kirai?'
"I don't care, go ahead," she replied. Naruto noted she sounded a little pissed when saying that, but didn't pay much attention to it.
Hinata and Hanabi saw the uncertainty in his eyes. "You don't have to tell us if you don't want to," Hanabi said. We understand if it's-"
"It's the God Tree's offspring," Naruto admitted.
"God Tree's offspring?" Hinata asked with a raised eyebrow.
"What's a… God Tree?" Hanabi wondered as she tilted her head. Naruto began explaining the origins of the God Tree. After that, he explained how the Rabbit Goddess Kaguya merged with said God Tree of the planet and tried taking it over, then Kirai was born and waited years until inhabiting Naruto.
Both Hinata and Hanabi were shocked to hear the story.
"So… you've had not only a Bijuu… but basically the God Tree inside of you too…?" Hinata relayed the information she was told. Naruto nodded, confirming it.
"That is… very surprising to hear, Naruto," Hanabi commented. The blonde nodded before sighing.
"Yeah, and there's one more thing too."
"What is it?" The Hyuuga sisters asked.
"Byakugan!" Naruto's eyes changed to a lighter hue and he lost his pupils as the veins near his eyes popped out. Both Hinata and Hanabi flinched back, stunned at seeing a non-Hyuuga using the Byakugan.
"W-Wait… h-how… how do you have our clan's dojutsu…?" Hinata wondered, baffled by his eyes.
"And how are you able to use it…?" Hanabi asked.
"Kirai is from the God Tree, so she can change her chakra to be able to use things like kekkei genkai, and she granted me the ability to use the Byakugan during my mission in Nami no Kuni," Naruto explained as he deactivated his Byakugan. "I… was going to ask if you could help me use it better, but you don't have to if you don't want to."
The two sisters looked at each other, then at Naruto. They both smiled.
"Of course we'd help you," Hanabi said.
"Anything for my boyfriend," Hinata agreed, giving him a kiss on the cheek.
Naruto looked between the two Hyuugas and smiled back before tightly hugging them. "Thanks a lot!"
Kakashi was sitting up on a tree branch, reading his orange porn book. Below him, Sasuke was holding his left hand out, trying to gather lightning chakra to it. Soon, electricity was coursing throughout his hand and was visibly seen. The loud noises it made allowed Kakashi to know that Sasuke was about to use the technique.
"Chidori!" Sasuke yelled out as he ran forward, holding his wrist. Once he was near the tree, he reeled his arm back and thrusted it forward. His arm went straight through the trunk with no problem and he made a hole that was slightly larger than his hand. He pulled his arm out and smirked. Kakashi had helped him learn the Chidori, and he finally mastered it after almost a month of failed attempts at using some fire techniques. Kakashi then learned that Sasuke's affinity was lightning and not fire, so he switched up Sasuke's training and taught him the Chidori. He also helped Sasuke develop his Sharingan, and got it so that the Uchiha could activate it whenever he can as well as develop his second tomoe in his left eye.
Kakashi looked down at the smirking Sasuke flexing his hand. 'Hopefully he doesn't use it for anything bad.'
"You ready, Sasuke?" Kakashi asked his student.
Sasuke scoffed. "These Chuunin Exams are gonna be a breeze. Now with my new techniques, no one will be able to get in my way." Kakashi looked at his student for a second before returning to his book.
A day went by and Naruto was walking over towards the Inuzuka clan compound. He remembered about the threat he made to her and was regretting his "slick tongue" as Anko called it.
'Why'd I have to run my mouth…?' Naruto asked himself as he groaned. He was expecting to get scolded and, well, he thought he deserved it for threatening a jounin, and apparently the clan head at that! Oh, he was in so much trouble. If Tsume was merciful, which she didn't appear to be, maybe he could take care of the dogs that they're known for having. That sounded doable and better than whatever punishment she'd have in mind that was probably far worse.
Naruto, with reluctance, finally made it to the front gates of the compound. They were fairly tall, with two small wooden dogs on the gates. Naruto looked up at the dogs before looking back at the gate and pushing through. He instantly saw a bunch of kids playing with small animals. He looked around and saw some adults hanging out with other animals too. Naruto was surprised to see this. He expected a bunch of dogs, but was instead greeted with other animals, but it was a nice surprise.
As he walked the main path, he looked around at all the houses and buildings. It looked pretty basic, but yet again, why would it be flashy and different? There wasn't a need for that, so Naruto continued walking. He could see the clan house in the back, but then something jumped in his shoulder.
"Woah!" He yelped in surprise. He was going to throw whatever was on his shoulder off, but after getting a glance, he stopped his movements. "W-Wait… why…"
Naruto fully turned his head at the orange animal on his shoulder. He was ultimately confused because it looked very familiar… and it somehow jumped on his shoulder too.
"Y-Yoko?!" Naruto recognized the small dog. It barked before giving the blonde a lick. "Woah, boy, what the hell are you doing here? Shouldn't you be with your owner?"
"Arf!" Yoko barked before shaking his head.
Naruto raised an eyebrow at the orange dog, but shrugged it off. "Alright then, you wanna come with me to the clan house, then?"
The dog nodded, and Naruto was surprised he understood him so well. The whiskered blonde smiled and nodded back, then resumed his walk towards his destination.
The two arrived at the gates of the house and Naruto knocked. A second later and the gates opened. Naruto was expecting someone to be behind them, but instead, a black dog with a white underside was there. The dog had an eyepatch over it's right eye and a missing ear. It's sclera was black and had a yellow eye, but overall, it's appearance almost made it look like a wolf.
"O-Oh… I uh… didn't expect to see a dog greet me, ya know… You understand me, right?" Naruto checked with a raised eyebrow. If the dog didn't, then it would've been awkward.
"I understand you," the dog spoke in a gruff voice.
"Oh, sweet! Thank Kami you do, or else that would've been awkward," Naruto thanked as he put his hands together.
"What are you here for, kid?" The dog asked.
"I'm-We're here to see Tsume, you know where she is?" Naruto asked as he put his hands down.
"Yeah, I'm her dog, I always know where she is," the dog responded as his eye narrowed. "So, what do you need to meet her for?"
"She told me to come here whenever I had the chance to. I would've come sooner, but I was pretty busy," Naruto explained to the canine. He stood there and stared at Naruto for a few seconds after his explanation and closed his eye.
"Follow me." The dog turned around and walked away with Naruto following. The dog walked up the steps and opened the door to the house with Naruto still following.
The trio then made it into what Naruto presumed as the living room and sitting on a couch, across from the other side of the room, was none other than Tsume Inuzuka herself. The brunette wasn't wearing her usual kunoichi attire and instead was wearing a grey, low cut t-shirt and black shorts. Naruto grew slightly nervous at seeing the older woman sitting there, knowing that she probably could rip him apart if she wanted to.
The Inuzuka leader shifted her slits from the book she was reading to the new arrivals. She looked at her partner, then at Naruto, then at the dog that was perched on his shoulder. She then looked back at her dog.
"You can go, Kuromaru," Tsume spoke. Kuromaru nodded his head and turned around to leave. Naruto looked at the dog before looking back at Tsume. The woman was staring at him.
Yoko gave Naruto a lick on his cheek which caused the blonde to smile as he looked at the small canine.
"Take a seat," Tsume said as she gestured over at the armchair next to her. Naruto nodded and obediently sat down in the chair. Yoko leaped from his shoulder down on the armchair and sat down, staring at Tsume with narrowed eyes.
"Who's the dog?" She asked, not even looking at him.
"Yoko. I had a mission where I had to walk him while the owner had to do something else. I found him here and he joined me," Naruto responded, petting said dog's head.
Tsume sniffed and her eyes shot towards Yoko for a second before they went back to her book.
"Uh… if I may ask, why'd you want to see me?" Naruto wondered, looking back at Tsume. "If it's about the threat I made, I apologize. I shouldn't have said what I sai-"
"Don't apologize," Tsume interrupted the blonde.
This caused Naruto to raise an eyebrow and tilt his head in confusion, Yoko doing the same. "... Huh? B-But… I disrespected a jounin, and a clan head no less! Doesn't that deserve some sort of punishment?"
"Normally yeah, but what you said completely caught me off guard and was… rare to hear. Never had I heard someone say that to me or anyone else before," Tsume told with a smirk.
"S-So you're not mad at me…?" Naruto asked.
"I was, but there's no reason to be mad at a genin. An interesting genin at that," Tsume answered as she closed her book and looked at Naruto.
"... Interesting how?" Naruto wondered.
"Interesting as in you somehow made Yugao fall in love with you and had the audacity to threaten me," Tsume responded before standing up. She made her way over to Naruto and slammed her foot on the arm rest on his right before putting her hands on her hips. This action made Naruto's eyes widen. "I just wanna know what she sees in you personally to fully evaluate if you're all that."
The woman leaned down close to Naruto's face, practically exposing her cleavage for the boy to see. She got extremely close to his face with a smirk while the blonde held his gaze. Whatever she was trying to do, he wasn't going to falter.
Yoko looked at this in confusion. The dog tilted his head and stared at the two before a devious smile was on his face. The dog leaped off the armrest and onto Tsume's back without the woman noticing. He treaded her back before making it to her neck. The orange canine put a paw up and set it carefully on the back of her head, then lightly pushed. The sound of surprise the two made was satisfying for him and he quickly returned to his original spot, looking confused like before.
Both Naruto and Tsume's eyes widened as blushes formed in their faces and their lips locked. They were too stunned to move or do anything except stare into each other's eyes.
'This was not part of the plan!' Tsume exclaimed in her head.
'What the hell?! Why is she kissing me?!' Naruto questioned, confused as to what in Kami's name is this woman planning or doing.
"Take control of the situation, idiot," Kirai voiced.
'But-'
"Would you rather stare awkwardly at her or make the situation better for both of you?" Kirai asked. "Don't push her away and make things extremely awkward, try and show some dominance, she still has to see what made Yugao like you, right?"
Naruto didn't answer, but instead grabbed the sides of Tsume's face, eliciting a surprise nose from her, and pulled her closer. He gently bit her bottom lip and made her open her mouth before shaking his tongue in there.
Tsume cringed at the weird feeling. Dear Kami it's been awhile since she last knew what a kiss felt like, but the thing that caught her attention was how good the boy in front of him was at kissing. While Tsume was in her thoughts, Naruto explored her mouth and wrapped his tongue around hers.
Tsume's back started hurting and she tried to lean back, but then Naruto grabbed her legs and made her sit on his legs. The older woman didn't know what to do and instead relaxed and put her hands on Naruto's chest. She couldn't do anything with her body nor tongue. Her tongue was being assaulted by Naruto's and she wasn't in a favorable position to move. She also felt a foreign feeling she wasn't sure she liked. It felt like she… was free? But free from what?
The whiskered blonde broke the kiss and looked at Tsume's confused and blushing face with a smirk and half lidded eyes. She was taking deep breaths, trying to assess what happened
"Well, Tsume, if you wanted a kiss so badly why didn't you just ask?" Naruto teasingly asked.
"W-Wait… I-I didn't… S-Something…" The Inuzuka clan head was at a loss for words. What did happen? Did she purposely kiss him, or did something push her? 'Ugh… what the hell is wrong with me?! I can't think of a single thing to say or come up with! Is this how Yugao felt…?' Speaking of Yugao… she just kissed her boyfriend. Guilt quickly rushed in as her stomach dropped.
"Hey," Naruto spoke, getting the woman to look at him. "I understand how you feel… but believe me when I say that they don't care."
Tsume's blush lightened as she looked at him and nodded, but then cocked an eyebrow. "They?"
Naruto nodded with a smile. "Yep! Yugao isn't my only girlfriend, ya know."
"Y-You have… multiple…?" Tsume guessed in shock.
"Y-Yeah… it's a long story," Naruto answered as he looked away. Tsume hummed in understanding.
"I-I'm sorry for uh… kissing you… I didn't mean to do it," Tsume apologized, looking at Naruto's coat and shirt.
"Oh, don't apologize, it was a good kiss," Naruto said with a grin. Tsume looked up at Naruto in surprise before smiling.
"Kami… shut up…" She shook her head before taking a deep breath.
"Your blush looks good on you, Miss Tsume," Naruto complemented with a smile. The older woman looked up at Naruto with wide eyes and her blush turning redder.
"O-Oh… t-thanks…" she replied, not knowing how to take the compliment. She avoided looking at his eyes and instead looked at his coat. Yoko looked at the two before covering his mouth as a deviant smirk grew again.
"Ah come on! I wanna see more of your face, Tsume. You know, you're a pretty hot and sexy woman," Naruto teased, making the woman on him shift uncomfortably at the compliments.
"S-Shut up… p-please…" Tsume pleaded, her brain starting to fry from the attention.
"What? Can't handle compliments, Little Tsume," Naruto wondered with a teasing smirk, her blush deepening from the nickname.
"N-No… I-I rarely get compliments… since, you know, I'm me and it's hard to approach me…" she responded. Tsume could feel his eyes on her and didn't dare look up.
"You know-" Naruto stopped talking once a loud tearing sound was heard. Tsume's eyes widened as she felt her shirt tear open from the back. She watched in shock as her shirt fell from her shoulders… and so did the purple bra she was wearing underneath it.
Naruto's eyes widened as Tsume's breasts flopped out from her unhooked bra. He stared at her large, round sacs of flesh and her perky, brown nipples. Tsume's blush got even redder than possible as she stared at her own bare chest in complete and utter shock.
"... Beautiful…" Naruto whispered as he stared at them, unable to peel his eyes away from such a sight. It was the first time he's seen naked breasts, and Tsume's were perfect-looking… at least in his eyes they were.
Tsume let out an unexpected girly squeal that snapped Naruto out of his staring and he looked away.
"I'm sorry for staring!" He quickly apologized. The Inuzuka clan head quickly got off of Naruto and covered her exposed breasts up with her shirt.
'Fuck! Why the hell did my shirt and bra rip?! And why the hell did I scream like that?! What the hell is going on with me?' Tsume asked herself. 'No! Take control, Tsume!'
The older woman took a deep breath, albeit her intense red blush didn't go away. She looked at the younger blonde and smirked. "Was that your first time seeing tits, kid?"
The whiskered blonde just nodded dumbly.
"Well, stare at 'em all you want, this'll be the only time I'm showing you them. And feel lucky too, cause no one else has seen 'em," Tsume said as she dropped her arms and let her breasts go free.
"W-Wait! A-Are you sure about this?! I don't need to look!" Naruto asked as he closed his eyes.
"Open your eyes."
"But-"
"Just do it."
Naruto opened his eyes and looked at her eyes before looking at her round breasts and analyzing them. Tsume smirk got wider, but then it began faltering and she eventually looked away, getting embarrassed and a little self-conscious that he was staring so intently at them.
"Ya know, I meant it whenever I said beautiful," the blonde randomly spoke. "I… may not be an expert breast-analyzer or whatever… but they are… beautiful."
The Inuzuka looked at Naruto from the corner of her eye. "Thanks…"
"I like seeing your soft side, it makes you cute and adorable, aside from your hot and sexyness," Naruto complimented before looking away.
Tsume fully looked at him with a shocked face. "D-Do you mean it…?"
"Every word of it."
The older woman nodded before covering her breasts again. "I'll… be right back…"
When she left, Naruto looked at the dog that was patiently sitting on the armchair, though confused by what transpired between the Inuzuka and Uzumaki.
"You planned that… didn't you?" Naruto asked. Yoko looked at him in shock. Before cocking his head. "Don't play dumb, dog, you set that up!" The orange canine shook his head, then turned away, in disbelief that Naruto would accuse him of such heinous acts. "Oh don't even act like you did nothing wrong!"
When Yoko didn't turn back around, Naruto groaned before laying back against the armchair. "Stupid dog…"
Once Tsume came back with a new shirt, the two began talking and it surprisingly wasn't awkward after their… romantic interaction. Tsume began liking Naruto more and more. He was funny, exciting to talk to, a serious flirt and she learned the hard way when she tried to tease him, but she instead was getting teased. During this time, Yoko was playing with the other dogs that were around.
After they spent a few hours together and cleared up any misunderstandings, Naruto decided to leave, but Tsume had to give him something first.
"Hey, Naruto," Tsume spoke, stopping the blonde from leaving.
He turned around. "What's up?"
The Inuzuka woman walked up to him and crouched down before locking lips with him. The blonde blushed at the unexpected action, and before he could do anything, she broke the kiss off with a smile.
"Now get goin' runt, the Chuunin Exams are right around the corner, so go get ready."
Naruto grinned. "You got it, Little Tsume!" She blushed hard at the nickname, and during her shocked phase, Naruto ran off.
A week passed by rather quickly. Naruto woke up with a smile on his face and turned to look at Haku. The Ice user was sound asleep, but sadly, she had to wake up since she had classes today.
"Wake up, Haku," Naruto whispered and lightly shook her. She stirred before cracking an eye open and seeing her blonde boyfriend smiling down at her.
"N… Naruto…? Is something wrong…?" She groggily asked, then yawned.
"You have classes today, so get up, silly," Naruto answered.
"Oh… you have the Chuunin Exams today… right?" Haku remembered as she sat up and rubbed her eyes.
"Yep, sure do," Naruto responded with a grin.
Haku smiled at Naruto before wrapping him in a hug slowly. "Good luck with them… Naruto…"
The blonde hugged back. "I will Haku, believe it! You want me to make you breakfast?"
The girl shook her head. "No. If anything, I should be making you breakfast. It's the start of a big day."
"Yeah, but you're sleepy, and I'm not."
Haku stared at Naruto for a few seconds before sighing and laying back down. "Fine… but don't take forever… I have classes soon."
Naruto smiled at the Ice Release user before turning around and starting to make breakfast.
Three o'clock came around and Naruto was waiting by the Academy. Haku left earlier than him and was no doubt in class already. Now he just had to wait for his two squad mates to come.
"Today's the day, Kit. Be ready," Kurama informed with a smirk as he appeared next to his Jinchuuriki as a clone.
"Heh, it sure is and I've been ready. Whatever the exams have, aren't enough to scare or take me down, ya know!" Naruto exclaimed with a grin.
"Can't wait to see how this goes," Kirai said as she appeared behind Naruto and Kurama, floating in the air.
"K-Kirai?!" Kurama questioned as he stared at the entity.
"W-What if someone sees you?!" Naruto asked, beginning to look around frantically.
The woman smirked, amused by the blonde's concern. "Don't worry, brat, no one can see me besides you two, now don't make a big deal out of it or else people will start to think you're crazy."
Naruto looked at Kirai with a raised eyebrow. "Alright then…"
"Anyway… so you and Tsume, huh? What an interesting turn of events," Kirai brought up with a teasing smirk.
Naruto blushed as his eyes widened, remembering them clearly. "Shut up…"
"Aw, what's wrong? Did remembering her boobs make you blush?" The entity asked, flying around Naruto to see his face.
Naruto turned away from her and frowned. "No… it didn't…"
Then Kirai began laughing. "The look on your face was priceless!"
The whiskered blonde scowled as he whipped his head at her. "What did you expect me to do?! It was the first time seeing them, how else was I supposed to react?!"
Kirai calmed down, and was about to answer, but she then saw Sakura and Sasuke in the distance. "Ah, looks like your teammates are coming."
"Psh, about time," Naruto whispered, silently thanking them for coming before Kirai could embarrass him.
Sakura noticed Naruto and smiled before moving away from Sasuke. The Uchiha raised an eyebrow at her sudden change of behavior. Why was she happy to see Naruto? She hated him just like he did. But he didn't have time to think about that once he caught sight of Naruto's clone and his guard went up. Even with his training, he was still scared of that clone for some reason.
"Hey Naruto!" Sakura greeted the blonde with a bright smile. "Sorry for making you wait, I had to help someone along the way."
"Heh, it's not a problem," Naruto waved off before turning around. "Now, let's get going."
Kurama popped in a cloud of smoke and Sasuke breathed a sigh of relief. He then reluctantly followed Naruto into the Academy.
Team 7 walked through the Academy and made their way upstairs. They only walked one set of stairs before seeing a bunch of genin crowded around in the hallways.
"What's all the commotion about?" Sakura asked Naruto. The blonde looked at the pinkette and shrugged.
"Dunno, but let's find out," he responded. She nodded, and they walked through the crowd of genin before seeing a boy in a green orange jumpsuit get knocked back. The boy had shiny black hair, and noticeably bushy eyebrows and round eyes.
"Heh, you're taking the Chuunin Exams, but you can't even get past us?" A voice sneeringly asked. Naruto looked to see where it came from and saw two boys around his age blocking the door. One had spiky, light black hair while the other had a blue bandana around his brown hair.
"Why don't you just give up now before you get hurt?" The bandana boy suggested with a smirk.
"Yeah, I think I hear your mommy callin' ya," the spiky haired boy agreed with his friend.
"Please let us through, we're supposed to go in there!" A girl with brown hair in two buns pleaded. She was next to the boy in the green jumpsuit, and Naruto assumed they were teammates. She then got up and walked forward, but got punched in the cheek and stumbled backward. She was soon on the floor next to her teammate. The crowd of genin were shocked to see them punch her, and one of them even said it was harsh.
"Harsh? Heh, don't kid yourself, we're being nice by comparison. The Chuunin Exams are gonna make this look like a picnic," the spiky haired boy stated.
"Some of you won't survive the exams, others will be wrecked for life, and some of you may go crazy. For Chuunin it's always life and death," the bandana boy added. Naruto looked around, tuning out the two boys from giving a lecture to the genin around. He noticed the room number was 301 and raised an eyebrow at that.
'We only walked up one flight of stairs… this is only the second floor,' he thought, then his eyes slightly widened. 'Ah, a genjutsu, got it.'
"We're just thinnin' out the herd, so go home and play with your dolls."
Naruto walked past the genin and stood in front of the two boys with Sakura and Sasuke.
"Ya know, whatever he said was right," Naruto agreed with a smirk. "You shouldn't be taking these exams if you can't see through a little genjutsu."
The two boys raised an eyebrow at that. 'We never said anything about a genjutsu…'
"Genjutsu? The hell are you talking about?" A genin asked.
"You idiots. You only walked up one flight of stairs, meaning that you're now on the second floor. The room these two are blocking is room 301, but that doesn't make any sense since we're on floor two, you get it?" Naruto explained, putting his hands in his pockets. The genin looked at each other and started mumbling about how Naruto was right. Sasuke just glared at Naruto's back.
The two boys blocking the door smirked. "Well, well, you saw past the genjutsu, isn't that somethin'." The room number then changed to 201.
"I take pride in my intelligence, ya know?" Naruto said with a smile.
The spiky haired boy smirked. "That's great and all, but let's see you deal with this!" He then went for a high kick, but before it could connect, something blocked it. Naruto's eyes widened at seeing the boy in the green jumpsuit block the attack.
'He's fast,' the blonde noted as the genin in the jumpsuit pushed the spiky haired boy's foot away.
"What happened to the plan of keeping a low profile, Lee?" A voice asked. Naruto turned around and saw a boy with long, brown hair and lavender eyes walking up to his teammate with the brown haired girl.
'He's a Hyuuga, just like Hinata and Hanabi,' Naruto noticed.
"I know… but…" he stopped talking once he caught sight of Sakura.
"Whatever, it's over now," the brown haired girl said with a sigh. The boy named Lee fully turned towards Sakura and walked up to her.
"Hello, my name is Rock Lee, it is a pleasure to meet you. You are Sakura, correct?" Rock Lee introduced with a smile.
"Ah… yes… but… how'd you know that…?" Sakura wondered.
"Please, will you be my girlfriend?" He asked, ignoring her question. "I vow to protect you with my life."
The pinkette looked at Rock Lee with a raised eyebrow. 'What the hell is wrong with this guy?'
"Uh… no thank you…" Sakura politely declined.
"W-Why…?" Lee asked, his heart cracking.
"Because… uh… you'd have to get to know me first, and… I have feelings for someone else!" Sakura replied, making up the last part.
"Oh…" Rock Lee said, looking sad, but he then smiled. "I see! Well, I hope that you and whoever you like are happy together!" He then gave her a thumbs up and a shiny grin.
"T-Thanks…" Sakura thanked nervously. She really didn't want to talk to Lee anymore. Naruto snickered, which caused Sakura to glare at him. "Shut up, Naruto!"
"Hey, you, over there, what's your name?" the Hyuuga spoke. Team 7 looked at him.
"Who're you asking?" Naruto asked, looking at him skeptically.
"He's obviously asking me, dobe," Sasuke answered as he walked ahead of him and crossed his arms with a cocky smirk, making Naruto deadpan at him. "The name's Sasuke Uchiha, and you?"
"... I wasn't asking you… but whatever. I'm Neji Hyuuga," the brown haired boy introduced himself.
'Thought so,' Naruto thought, smirking to himself.
"Neji, huh? Well get ready to be beaten by me in the Chuunin Exams," Sasuke told the Hyuuga.
Neji's eyes narrowed. "What was that?"
'Oo, cocky and cute, I think I like him,' the girl behind Neji thought with a small smile.
"Sasuke, hurry up, we still have to take the Chuunin Exams, and we can't do that when you're talking," Naruto voiced with Sakura giggling. Sasuke scowled, then he turned around and glared at his teammate.
"Shut the hell up, dobe! I don't take orders from you," the Uchiha responded.
Naruto sighed. "You know what? Whatever, just don't take too long. Let's go, Sakura."
"Right," the pinkette said, and they both walked away to the stairs. Sasuke watched them leave, confused as to why Sakura was now getting along with Naruto and not hanging around him.
Naruto and Sakura walked into a large room, and they were about to make it outside.
"Ah, I'm starting to get anxious. These Chuunin Exams are really happening, huh?" Sakura admitted as she looked at Naruto.
He looked at her and smiled. "They sure are, Sakura! But don't worry, you have me on your team! We can get by these with no problems!"
The pinkette smiled. "Mm! You're right, we can. Hopefully Sasuke won't drag us down."
"Tch, that teme is unbearable. Hopefully he's done talking to that Neji guy and gets here soon," Naruto hoped with a sigh.
"Hey!" A voice called out, making Naruto and Sakura turn around. They looked up and saw Rock Lee on the ledge. He then jumped down and did a flip before landing.
"Bushy Brows? What do you want?" Naruto wondered as he raised an eyebrow.
"I want to test your strength. I would have done it against Sasuke Uchiha, but he is too cocky for my liking, and you look like you are a strong opponent," Rock Lee confessed, standing up. "So please, let us spar."
Naruto looked at him with an unreadable look. Sakura looked at him, then at Rock Lee, then at the clock and realized they had around half an hour left to check in.
"N-Naruto, we only have half an hour left, that's not enough time!" Sakura informed her blonde teammate. Naruto stared at Lee for a second before smiling.
"No worries, Sakura, this'll only take around five minutes, believe it!" Naruto assured as he grinned at the pinkette. He then turned to Rock Lee. "Alright, Bushy Brows, let's do this, but let's not take too long."
"Do not worry, Naruto, this should not take long at all." Lee then put his arm behind his back and put an arm out while standing up straight.
"Beat his ass, Naruto!" Kirai cheered.
"Let him know that we are not to be messed with," Kurama added. The cheers from his two inhabitants made Naruto grin, but it wasn't his signature grin. Sakura looked at him and her eyes widened. This one felt… more wild in a sense. She also noticed that his irises were now slits.
'W-What's going on with Naruto…?'
Naruto got on all fours and stared at Lee. He then suddenly took off in an unexpected burst of speed. Lee's eyes slightly widened before moving his head out of the way from a random swipe. He grabbed Naruto's arm and flung it behind himself, launching Naruto behind. The blonde Uzumaki reoriented himself and landed on the wall before pushing off of it, causing small cracks. He reeled his arm back and was about to launch it forward. When he got close to Lee, he launched his arm forward, and Lee put his guard up, but then Naruto aimed it downward. Lee's eyes widened at the unexpected maneuver, but couldn't block when Naruto did a flip and slammed his heel on top of Lee's head. The green-clad genin's face was forced into the floor while Naruto did another flip and landed. When Naruto turned around, he leaned back to avoid a high kick to the face.
'He recovered faster than I thought,' Naruto thought as he dodged a strike to the chest.
"Leaf Whirlwind!" Lee then went for a backwards high kick that Naruto stepped back from, but following the motion, Lee kicked with his right foot. Naruto's eyes widened as the foot barely connected to his side. The blonde stumbled backwards as Lee quickly got up and in a blur, was behind Naruto. He was about to kick the blonde's back, but he grinned and pushed off of his feet, making Lee miss. The genin's eyes widened as he tried to turn around, but was struck in the back. Lee flew forward and stumbled to try and regain his balance, but Naruto tripped him and made him fall. Lee put his hands out and caught himself as he twisted his body to better see Naruto. The blonde disappeared in a yellow flash and kneed Lee's open stomach. The green-clad genin spat out saliva as he flew back and hit the wall.
Lee quickly pushed off of it and did a backflip, barely avoiding a roundhouse kick from Naruto.
'He is really strong!' Lee thought as he landed and jumped away from Naruto. "Naruto, you are very strong, I may have wrongfully underestimated you."
"Heh, it's no biggie. You're strong too, Bushy Brows. That Leaf Whirlwind would've fucked me over if it actually connected," Naruto praised as he turned to look at Lee. "We still have three minutes left, you wanna continue?"
"Yes, let us," Lee answered as he dropped into a different stance. Naruto smirked as he too got into a stance.
'This time, I will actually hit Naruto!' Lee told himself as he ran forward Naruto ran forward as well and threw a punch aimed for Lee's head. The genin deflected the punch and threw one of his own. Naruto twirled out of the way, but then got kicked in the stomach. He stumbled back and held his stomach with an arm. Lee used this opportunity to jump in the air and do a roundhouse kick. Naruto put up his bandaged arm and blocked the foot. He then moved it out of the way and grabbed Lee's leg before slamming him into the ground. He slammed his foot down and tried to push off of it, but Naruto launched him towards a wall. Lee slammed into it and fell down, but he quickly landed on his feet.
Naruto took a deep breath and fell forward. Right when he was about to hit the ground, he put his arms out and launched forward. Lee wasn't prepared for this and couldn't block the fist that Naruto threw. Once it connected, it nearly knocked the wind out of Lee as he was flown back and crashed into the wall.
Naruto was taking labored breaths as he watched Lee. The genin coughed and groaned in pain.
"Five minutes are up, Lee," Naruto informed his opponent with a smirk.
Lee looked at the clock and saw that five minutes had passed. He sighed. "You are right, Naruto. You have won our sparring match."
Naruto made his way over to Lee and helped him up. "Your kicks are powerful. I think you might've broken something."
"Ah, I am sorry, Naruto! I did not mean to hurt you so badly," Lee apologized as he bowed.
Naruto chuckled even though it hurt him. "Don't worry about it, it'll heal."
"Are you sure?"
"Positive Bushy Brows, believe it!" Naruto reassured with a thumbs up. Lee smiled then nodded.
"When we meet again in the Chuunin Exams, let us fight with all we got!" Lee exclaimed as he put his fist out.
"You got yourself a deal!" Naruto accepted, touching his fist with Lee's. Lee nodded again before going up the stairs. Naruto followed Lee with his eyes and noticed Lee's female teammate was watching. They stared at each other until Lee began talking to her then they both left.
The whiskered blonde turned towards his teammate and saw her smiling at him. He walked up to her with his own smile.
"Great job, Naruto! You totally owned him!" Sakura praised as she grabbed his other arm and put it over her shoulder.
"Thanks Sakura, but I know there's more to him than that, he was holding back," Naruto told the pinkette.
"And so were you. If you both weren't holding back, you'd win for sure," Sakura stated.
"Hehe!"
Naruto and Sakura made it to Room 301 with Sasuke in tow. There, their sensei, Kakashi Hatake, was waiting for them.
"Kakashi-sensei?" Naruto asked, confused as to why he was here.
"Hello Team 7, glad you all came," Kakashi said.
"Of course, we wouldn't miss this for anything," Naruto stated with a grin.
"Good, because if one of you did, then you wouldn't be able to take the exam," Kakashi told, causing everyone's facial expressions to change.
"What do you mean by that, Sensei?" Sakura inquired.
"The Chuunin Exams can only be taken in teams of three, that's how it's always been. If one of you didn't want to participate, then the rest of you wouldn't be able to as well," he explained to the genin.
"But… you said that this is voluntary… was that a lie?" Sakura asked.
"Sort of. I didn't want the other two to pressure whoever didn't want to participate. And at the same time, I didn't want you to feel obliged to participate because of any feelings you harbor for each other. I wanted you to come to a decision of your own free will," Kakashi answered. "But, that doesn't matter now since you're all here. Now, go on and good luck."
"Heh, we won't let you down, Sensei, believe it!" Naruto stated with a thumbs up. Kakashi nodded and moved out of the way. Naruto walked up to the doors and opened them. Team 7 walked in and was amazed at the amount of genin participating.
'This is… a lot of genin…'
Okay so this chapter may or may not have been an excuse to have Tsume in it… also, I was planning on having the whole written part be in this chapter, but that would've made this chapter exceedingly long. I've also noticed I've been writing a lot of longer chapters lately…. strange…
