Fleamont and the three Blacks had common ground for all wanted to free Sirius and three of them wanted to get him back to his son. Arcturus would as well but he didn't know the truth about the boy. But even then he saw his grandson's freedom as a solution to his house guest. He was starting to think Fleamont was intentionally taking his time recovering so he was stuck with the child. Sirius would insist on taking the boy as soon as he was free. He hoped his grandson would come to his senses and return to the fold even if that meant the boy would be close. He at least have his cat back as his grandson hated cats.

They had put off going right to the ministry as much as they wished to. They knew Albus would not let go easily and they needed to make sure he had no way around this. The men were meeting and for some reason he was bringing the boy.

He found Kreacher in the kitchen but did not see Harry. "Where is he?"

Kreacher looked up from the stove. "Master be in garden."

Arcturus went to go out but he noticed his cat. "I am surprised he is alone."

Kreacher pointed at the food. "Zar ready for lunch. Master not."

Arcturus headed to the door but said. "We will not be home for lunch."

Kreacher did not seem bothered. "I prepare dinner then."

Arcturus spotted Harry by the tree. "Who is he talking to?"

Harry turned when he saw him. "Grandpa play?"

Arcturus eyed the boy. "Who were you talking to?"

Harry smiled. "Kitty."

"Zar is inside."

Harry simply hummed and played with two stuffed animals. "Kitty go."

Arcturus scooped him up. "Zar is having lunch. Now we are going."

Harry waved a little. "Kitty bye."

Arcturus was confused but he took the boy to apparate to the manor. Zar was not in the garden and he had no idea what the boy spoke of. He assumed maybe the boy had an imaginary friend. The spells on the garden would keep out neighbor cats. But considering Zar he didn't think the boy would make up one. He for a moment thought the boy meant the toy in his hand noticing he had a second. The boy had only ever carried around the dog until now. But he noticed the second was canine as well but a wolf.

Pollux and Fleamont were both waiting when they arrived at the manor. It seemed Fleamont had not sent all the toys for Harry as there was still some to be found there. Harry seemed content to be put down to play.

Pollux watched the child as Arcturus did. "I believe we have what is needed to free his fat….godfather."

Arcturus missed the slip and smirked. "I am sure our grandson appreciates the sentiment."

Fleamont spoke up. "I thought we were waiting."

Arcturus snarled. "I thought I told you to stay out of it."

Fleamont reminded him. "You are in my home."

Harry eyed them. "Grandpas grumps."

Pollux smirked. "I don't believe you have me agreeing with the child. We agreed to work together."

Fleamont eyed him. "What have you?"

Arcturus seemed to know. "You have arranged a meeting for us?"

Pollux corrected him. "For you. We don't need to raise talk."

Fleamont eyed the two. "Who?"

"Alastor." Pollux turned to him.

"My grandson's mentor and friend. Not to mention head auror." Arcturus added.

Fleamont knew all too well. "Not the minister?"

"Alastor can help us keep it under the table. Albus can not learn until its too late."

Pollux looked at Arcturus. "He will meet you in a half hour."

Arcturus stood but looked to the boy. "I will send for Kreacher."

Fleamont stopped him. "He can remain."

Harry shook his head. "No. No leave me. No. He send me hurt."

Pollux smirked at Fleamont's look. "You traumatized him it seems."

Arcturus glared. "You will stay here. I will be back."

Harry trembled. "Back?"

Arcturus looked at Fleamont and back. "Pester him to play a bit and I'll be back."

Harry watched as the man stormed out of the room to head to meet Moody. The little boy sat there on the floor eyeing the other two men. Both were of course his grandfathers and they both knew that. Fleamont felt regret for the fear he had put into the child. He had meant to kick Arcturus into helping and had not truly thought about his words at the time. It seemed being grandparents had differing effects on him and Wallburga and Orion. The couple had opened up. Fleamont was not as indulgent as before.

Harry surprised them by crawling onto the couch but next to Pollux. "Story?"

Pollux eyed the boy. "I don't tell stories."

Harry smiled. "Paddi say tell story."

Pollux grunted. "I doubt your father told you any such thing."

Harry held up his stuffed dog."Grandpa foey."

Fleamont lifted an eyebrow. "Foey?"

It dawned on Pollux. "Fox? You know I am a fox."

Harry nodded. "Foey story foey story."

Pollux remembered showing his grandson and he could admit he had told a story or two. "I assume."

Harry shocked him by curling up against him hugging his two stuffed animals. Pollux for a moment looked startled but he made no move to move the boy. He remembered a story he had told his grandsons and found himself telling it again. Both his grandsons had been determined to become animagus one day. Sirius had become a dog. Regulus was learning to be a snake when killed.

Fleamont called an elf as he watched the two. "It seems we will need lunch for three."

Arcturus headed to meet with the man. He had been impressed when his grandson had got into auror training. Blacks had never been quite the type they were more politicians. But he had also known his grandson to be a prankster in school and had not thought him to have the marks or the follow through either. He had learned Sirius was one of the top students in his training. The only ones who had been better then him and James had been the Longbottoms. He paused when he thought of the couple and their current state.

Moody was waiting for him in a back room at the bank. It was one place no one would look to find either and which Moody could come from his office without being missed. Arcturus worked closely with the goblins and they allowed such.

Moody eyed him when he came in. "Why are we here?"

Arcturus closed the door. "I thought Pollux would have explained."

Moody snarled. "He mentioned my old student but nothing else."

Arcturus took a seat. "I am pleased you came."

Moody sat across from him. "I was intrigued why you sought me out."

"I believe you think my grandson innocent."

"Of course. He'd never touch them." Moody snarled.

"That is why you are here. I need your help to free him."

"And what miracle do you expect of me?"

Arcturus handed him scrolls. "To get this to the minister discreetly."

Moody was shocked when he looked at it. "They did it?"

Arcturus was surprised to learn Moody had known about the two men. It seems they had mentioned to their mentor they were considering a bond. Arcturus wondered how many others had known and he had been kept in the dark about it. He was still not pleased he had only now been told about it. He was head of the family and should have known.

Moody was relieved when he saw the papers. He had believed they had but he had no proof and thought surely someone would have brought it forward. Sirius had revealed to him when he found out he was pregnant. He needed aid hiding his pregnancy.

Moody closed the forms. "This shall free him. You know the minister."

Arcturus grunted. "Not the new one well."

"Fudge loves all you old bloods. He'd fall all over to help you."

Arcturus knew he was likely right. "We can not allow Albus to catch on too soon."

Moody understood. "I will see to this."

Arcturus stood. "Our family is grateful."

Moody grunted. "Perhaps remember that."

"I have never known you to expect favors in return."

Moody snarled. "I meant for him. So quick to cast him out."

Arcturus sneered. "He ran away."

Moody simply walked to the door."Remember."

He headed back to work with no other word. He cared about both men and knew they had been forced to remain unmarried due to the Blacks. He knew Harry's true parentage but he had not known the men had bonded. As he found himself in Fudge's office speaking to the man he was relieved they finally had proof to free Sirius. Fudge proved him right by being anxious to help. He summoned Amelia, the new head of law, to over see a pardon for Sirius. They were shocked when Albus stormed in.

Moody smirked. "What are you doing here?"

Albus turned to him. "I have heard you are trying to free your protege."

Fudge showed him papers. "No trying needed. I will have to find the stooge out there."

Albus sneered at him. "You can not free ….."

"We both know that he was no secret keeper. You either did not perform it or lying."

Albus was not phased. "So I taught them. We all know Sirius is who they would use."

Moody showed him forms. "Yet James' bond is alive and well save the prison part."

Albus was shocked. "Bonded? I'd have known."

"It seems you don't know as much as you think."

Albus stood there in shock but said. "You can't set him free. I have proof."

They reminded the old coot there was no proof that could help him win this fight. A bond was unbreakable and the contract was no lie. Sirius had nothing to do with the murder of his bond and the man's wife, or the attempt on the baby. Albus told them that he was not referring to the Potters this time. There were other charges never brought as he didn't go to trial.

Albus faked sadness. "He murdered his other best friend. No one ever found Remus' body to even bury."

Arcturus headed back to the manor for Harry. He hoped his grandson would be home soon enough. He didn't need Moody's advice on how to handle his ow family. It was bad enough when Fleamont thought he had any say in the boy and his life. Harry was a Potter as well was a Black and that was where he assumed Fleamont had some input as the boys were bonded and he did appreciate Moody's aid in this. The man had his uses like Severus and he had actively helped Moody get promoted.

He was surprised when he came into the den to find Harry half asleep. Not the fact the baby was about to nap but that he was in the arms of Pollux who now sat by the fire. If anyone he would have thought Fleamont.

Fleamont cut him from his thoughts. "How did it go?"

"He will hopefully be home soon."

Pollux looked over. "Are you going to take the boy?"

Arcturus walked towards him. "I didn't think to break your bonding."

Pollux growled. "One more word."

Arcturus went to pick up the boy. "Your secret is safe."

Harry shook his head. "Foey story."

Pollux saw the look. "I was telling him a story to keep him quiet."

"Well it is nap time." Arcturus smirked.

Harry looked at Pollux. "Fin?"

The old man grunted but he did say. "Maybe another time."

With that Arcturus took Harry home where he took him up to his room for a nap. He saw his son's painting watching him as he put the boy down and again he had to wonder why his son seemed to care. But as usual when he tried to get an answer his son went back to sleep. He headed to the kitchen where he found Walburga and told her what was happening..

They were both shocked when Moody appeared having been allowed in by the elves. Arcturus was surprised the man had been able to act so fast. And disappointed his grandson was not there. Shock turned to anger as Moody filled them in.

Wallburga was furious. "New charges out of thin air?"

Moody agreed. "He claims it didn't matter as the man was in prison."

Arcturus added. "And the victim was a wolf. Is there truth?"

Moody sighed. "He hasn't been seen since a month before Halloween."

Walburga didn't buy it. "The man was my son's second closest friend. He'd never."

Moody sighed. "We have five days to prove he is innocent or the charges will be pressed. He remains where he is for now."

Arcturus was furious. "We have proof for a pardon."

"And he has been but he is held on new suspicions. He has been moved out of a black cell though."

Walburga demanded. "There has to be a way."

Moody turned to go. "We will need to find the man or proof of what happened."

Arcturus called. "You have any aid."

They all agreed they would work together, and Pollux and Fleamont would as well. They had five days or he would be charged again. Moody thought to speak to Severus as he left. He had been friends with Remus nearly as long as Lily. If there was anyone who may know where the wolf was they knew he might be it. Arcturus found himself heading up to the nursery and he had company.

He was shocked to find Harry out of bed and by the window. "You are meant to be napping."

Harry turned to him. "Kitty wake."

"Zar is asleep in your bed like you should be." He snarled pointing at his cat.

Harry simply played with his wolf. "Mooey Mooey Mooey."

Arcturus grunted. "Into bed."

Walburga stopped him. "He means Remus."

Arcturus realized the wolf was for the marauders. "Remus?"

Harry showed him the toy. "Mooey."

Arcturus sighed and put the boy back into bed. Walburga knew the boy had once had stuffed animals of all the marauders but like her father in law she had only seen the dog. The dog seemed to have been sent to the muggles. They assumed that the wolf must have been left here or Potter manor and found for the boy. Its sudden appearance though seemed odd. They left the room to let the boy sleep more determined to find the man whose form inspired that toy. He was the key.

Harry saw a shadow of a cat in the window as he drifted off. "Night Mooey.'
