We see the streets of Vale being decorated in time for the Vytal Festival. Red, yellow, and green streamers and balloons are proudly on display, and Team RRWBY is strolling through it all with an awed Weiss Schnee in the front. A sign is being put up by the elderly Shopkeep that reads in bright red letters "WELCOME TO VALE!" for all the foreign newcomers from their respective kingdoms of Remnant.
"The Vytal Festival! Oh, this is absolutely wonderful!" Weiss said with excitement, stopping and raising her arms in amazement.
"I don't think We've ever seen you smile this much, Weiss." Ruby said, frowning a little, and rubbing her shoulder, "It's kinda wierding me out..."
"How can you not smile!?" Weiss replied, looking back at Ruby, "A festival dedicated to the cultures of the world! There will be dances! Parades! A tournament! Oh, the amount of planning and organization that goes into this event is simply breathtaking!"
"Sheesh, you almost sound like my sister when you say that." Ryan told her, as they kept walking through vale.
"I know, right," Yang commented, crossing her arms, "She really knows how to take a good thing and make it sound boring."
"UGH, Take this seriously," Weiss told them, "Might I remind you that the Vytal Festival is supposed to inspire the many Rising Huntsmen and Huntresses, and Honor those who have fallen."
"Like I said," Ryan said in his cocky attitude, "Just like my sister."
Weiss just rolled her eyes, and cleared her throat, "Anyway," She Began, "I've heard that students visiting from Vacuo will be arriving by ship today. And, as a representative of Beacon, I feel as though it is my solemn duty to welcome them to this fine kingdom!"
"Just to get swooned by their handsomeness that's not even Close to my level." Ryan Replied.
"Or just to spy on them so she'll have the upper hand in the tournament." Blake commented.
"YOU CAN'T PROVE THAT!" Weiss Scoffed. As she wasn't looking, she bumps into something and trips.
"Weiss, are you Okay?" Ruby said, helping her teammate up.
"Yeah, thanks." She replied.
"Sal-U-Ta-tions." Said a voice. Everyone looked down to see a nice young lady. She has short, rather curly orange hair that came down to her chin with a small ahoge on top, and she wore a pink bow on the back of her head. She also has bright green eyes, light skin, and freckles. She wore an off white old-fashioned styled off the shoulder blouse with frill detailed trim and frill flared cuffs that half cover her hands alongside copper button detailing on the lower parts of her sleeves. She also sports a short gray pinafore dress with golden trim on the hem alongside four light green stalagmite styled stripes on the lower half of the dress, two on the front and two on the back, accompanied by two matching colored circles above the tips that have a stripe that runs around her waistline, with golden outlines, and a detachable black and light green collar. She also wears a pair of black thigh-high leg pieces that seemingly are attached to black shoes. The leg pieces have a single green stripe up the sides that appears to light up. She was also wearing a silver backpack .
"Um... Hello." Ruby said, looking at the girl.
"Are... You okay?" Yang asked.
"I'm Wonderful," The girl replied, "Thank you for asking."
Ryan stood over the girl, and lent his hand out to her, "Need a hand?" he asked.
"No need," the girl replied, "I already have them." as she showed Ryan her hands.
Ryan had a stern expression on his face, "I meant do you need help getting up?" He said.
"Oh, Thank you." the girl replied, as she took Ryan's hand, and stood up with his help. "My Name is Penny, it's a pleasure to meet you."
"Hi Penny. I'm Ruby" Ruby replied, introducing herself, "And these are my teammates."
"Weiss Schnee, pleased to meet you." Weiss introduced herself, bowing in a polite fashion.
"I'm Blake." Blake said.
"Are you sure you didn't hit your head?" Yang asked, as Ryan nudged her shoulder, "Oh, I'm Yang."
"And this is our mentor, Ryan," Ruby said, introducing The King Grimm Reaper to Penny, "He's from another world."
"It's a pleasure to meet you." Penny repeated.
"You already said that." Ryan informed her.
Penny paused for a moment before speaking, "So I did." She said.
"So Penny, Where are you off to?" Ruby asked.
"I'm just taking a look around Vale, Looking at the beautiful sights before the Vytal Festival," Penny replied, "And I was passing by the 'Dust till Dawn' Dust shop, and I started to wonder why so many police officers were there."
Ryan's eyes widened in shock when Penny said that, and turned to Yang, who nodded back at him, "Thanks for... telling us about your day, Penny." he replied to her, as he started heading for the Dust shop, "See you around!"
"Ryan! WAIT!" Ruby yelled, "Come on, girls." as they followed Ryan from behind, "See you at the tournament!" as she waved back at Penny.
"Anytime." Penny replied, waving back at the team.
. . .
Team RWBY managed to keep up with Ryan, who was already ahead of them.
"Is something wrong Ryan?" Ruby asked.
"Me and Yang found out that I wasn't the only one transported here!" Ryan replied.
"What makes you say that?" Blake wondered.
"When we were at The DeMile the other day," Ryan continued, "It was on the news that some of my friends appeared here. And then Dante showed up."
"Dante?" Weiss asked.
"The guy we met," Yang answered, "He was the one who helped me carry Ryan back into our dorm."
"Anything else we need to know." Ruby asked
"Yeah." Ryan continued, "That dream I had when I was drunk. Vergil was in it. He's Dante's twin brother. Slick backed silver hair, Blue coat, carries a Katana that can cut through dimensions, and the father to Nero."
"Who's Nero?" Blake asked.
"I'll tell you later." Ryan replied, as the five made it to 'Dust till Dawn', to see it with a shattered window and a door full of yellow caution tape of the Vale Police Force, before Ryan walked over to the detective in front, who is writing on his pad. "What in the depths of Hell happened here?" Ryan asked.
"Wouldn't you like to know?" The detective replied.
"Actually," Ryan said, closing his eyes, "I would like to know." as he reopened his eyes to the form of Kakashi's Eternal Mangekyō Sharingan, and stared the detective in the Eyes, causing him to get caught with he Eternal Kakashi. "Now I'm gonna ask again, nicely," He said to the detective, "What happened here?"
"Robbery. Second Dust shop to be hit this week. This place is turning into a jungle." The Detective replied, as one of his police comrades walked out of the shop. Ryan stared at the other officer, letting him get caught in the trance. "Anything else I need to know?" he asked
"Whoever robbed this place, they left all the money again." the officer replied, "the only thing they did take was the recent dust deliveries imported from the Schnee Dust Company. Jacques' gonna be pissed."
Ryan blinked his eyes as they returned to normal. "Thank you, officers," he said to them, "As you were." as he walked back to Team RWBY.
"So?" Ruby asked.
"My hunch was right..." Ryan replied, "I'm not alone."
. . .
After an hour or so, Team RRWBY arrived near the docks and the sounds of foghorns are heard, and ships can be seen coming in and out of port. "Ugh, smells like fish!" Ruby said, covering her nose.
"Hey, it doesn't smell that bad," Ryan told her, "Just think of a nice Sushi place when you take the smell in."
"I'll try." Ruby replied. Ryan leaned against the railing, and thought about the voice he herd in his dream, while looking at the birds fly above him.
"Who's voice was that I heard?" He thought to himself, "Was that... Mom's voice? If it was? Then the girls must be here, too... Where are you guys?"
Yang looked over to The King Grimm Reaper, and tapped him on the shoulder, breaking him out of his thoughts, "Hey, so... Ryan?" She asked him.
"Huh? Yeah, Yang?" Ryan asked, looking at her.
"Why do you wear that blue headband and ring necklace?"
"Well..." Ryan began, "I wear The Number One Headband for two reasons. One, because I have the right and honor to wear it, and two, because of an old legend passed down from generations."
"A legend!?" Ruby said, interjecting herself into Yang and Ryan's conversation, "I wanna hear this legend."
"Haha, alright, alright." Ryan replied, "The stories that surround the two sacred headbands are as many as the men who died in their pursuit. Legend says they were created by the gods, or they can grant the wearer supernatural powers, but in truth, the headbands only bring pain and loss."
"Pain and loss from Two Headbands? How?" Weiss asked.
"Here's how," Ryan continued, "The person who wears the Number One Headband is said to rule the world, and the only person who can challenge the Number One is whoever possesses the Number Two. In contrast, anybody can challenge the owner of the Number Two for the right to wear that headband, and thus, gain the right to challenge the Number One. But, I haven't seen the Number Two headband in a long time?"
"So..." Yang began, "What would happen if one of us had the Number Two Headband?"
"I wouldn't try it," Ryan replied, scratching the back of his head, "Besides, I would never hit a lady, It would not be very gentlemen like of me."
"How charming." Blake said with a smile.
"Thank you, Blake." Ryan said, "And as for my ring necklace, It has my life motto engraved on it, in Latin," Ryan removed his necklace around his neck, and handed it over to Yang, "Take a look." Yang took a close look at Ryan's ring, to see the words engraved around it.
"Sic Parvis Magna?" she said in confusion, "What does that mean?"
"Greatness from Small Beginnings," Ryan replied, "Me and Nathan's Life motto."
"Wow," Yang said, "That's a life motto that I need."
"Well, Hey," Ryan replied, kissing her on the cheek, causing her to blush a little, "It's our Teams life motto now."
"STOP THAT FAUNUS!" said one of the ship crew members, as he and his friend were chasing after a tan-skinned boy with short spiky light-blonde hair and Blue eyes. He wears two red wrist bracers over black fingerless gloves and an open loose-collared white jacket with no shirt underneath, displaying his muscular physique. He also wears blue cargo pants tied up with a white belt. He wears white bandages on his legs and has a chain hanging from the belt loop on the right side of his pants. He sports black and yellow sneakers and wears a twisted golden necklace around his neck, with a round pendant bearing a monkey emblem. As a result of the Faunus lineage, he has a long prehensile monkey tail the same color as his hair.
He was running down the length of the boat and leaping on to the edge as the two sailors are about to apprehend him. "Thanks for the ride, guys! Haha!" he said, as he hopped off the boat, and hits the docks running.
"You No-Good Stowaway!" the other ship crew member said, as the Monkey Faunus used his tail to hang onto a lamppost while he peels back a banana.
"Hey! A No-Good Stowaway would've been caught!" The Monkey Boy replied, "I'm a great Stowaway." before he was able to take a bite out of his banana, one of the detectives down below throws a stone at him to get his attention.
"HEY!" the detective said, "Get down from there this instant!" The Monkey Boy drops the banana peel on the detective's face, who growls in return. The monkey-like Faunus twirls up to crouch on the lamppost, laughs in amusement, and proceeds to leap off and run away from the detectives. As he runs past Team RRWBY, he winks at an astonished Blake in slow motion before time speeds up again and he continues to be chased by the officers.
"Quick, We have to observe him!" Weiss said, pointing at the Faunus, as Team RRWBY went after the monkey Faunus around the corner, only to find themselves and the officers backed to the corner of the wall.
"Great... He got away." The detective said.
"We'll go after him, officers." Ryan said, walking up to the officers.
"Wait... You're just Students in training." the other detective said, "Leave this to the professionals.
"I insist." Ryan said, as his eyes took the appearance of swirled lines originating from his pupils, and looked at both detectives, getting caught in the trance of The Ry Indra Mangekyō Ry Sharingan, as they left the five teens alone, and left the scene. Ryan blinked his eyes as they returned to normal.
"Well... That takes care of them," Weiss said, "But what about the Faunus?" Ryan looked around the blocked alley-way to see many pipes in the area, which gave Ryan an idea.
"Watch This!" he said, as his right arm got covered in a shiny black material, closed his eyes, and punched the pipe hard that sound waves were forming in his head, creating a picture in his head, mapping out Vale, and the location of the Monkey Faunus. "He's at a café on Main street," Ryan said, as his arm returned to normal, "Let's go." As he and Team RWBY headed for the café.
"How did you know he was there?" Ruby asked.
"Well, all of my senses are enhanced, thanks to my Mentors: Daredevil, and Stick," Ryan explained, "So now I have an ability called: Atom-Enduced-Radar-Sense. Think of it as Echolocation that Bats use."
"And that thing with your arm?" Blake asked.
"That was a use of one of my manifestations, Haki," Ryan continued, "And there are three types of it: Observation, Conquerors, and the one that I used back there, Armament Haki, Which allows me to create, in essence, an invisible armor around Myself, providing incredible offensive and defensive capabilities."
"Cool." Ruby said, as they continued to the café on Main.
. . .
We see the Monkey Boy, sitting in a chair at a place called: 'Café Ponté', as he was using his tail to sip on a teacup filled with cappuccino. As he was about to take another sip. "This table reserved?" That voice scared the Faunus so much, he sprayed out his drink, and leaped onto the table in defense. As he looked at who scared him, It was Team RRWBY, all giggling for a little after what Ryan just did.
"WHEW!" the Monkey Faunus said in relief, getting down from the table, and wiping some sweat from his forehead, "Gave me a scare there for a second."
"Yeah, sorry," Ryan replied, "I do that a lot to scare my enemies. But, were cool."
"Sweet," The Monkey Boy replied, as he extended out his hand to shake with Ryan, as he did the same, "I'm Sun, by the way."
"Hi, I'm Ruby," Ruby said, introducing herself, "And these are my teammates: Blake. My older sister, Yang. Our mentor, Ryan. And this is-"
"Hey, You're Weiss Schnee, right?" Sun asked, pointing at the Schnee dust company heiress.
"Yeah," Weiss replied, bowing her head in respect, "how did you know?"
"Duh," Sun replied, "The Schnee Dust Company is a pretty common Name around here."
"*whistles, Nice." Ryan said, "good to know. But let's talk more over Lunch, My treat." Team RRWBY sat down with Sun at the table he was sitting at, with the waiter walking over too the six.
"What will it be boys and girls?" The waiter asked.
"One refill for me." Sun replied.
"Coffee please," Ruby replied, "Cream and five sugars."
"Mocha, please and thank you." Weiss asked.
"Green Tea, Please." Blake asked.
"I'll take an Espresso." Yang asked.
"One Cappuccino, and One Espresso." Ryan ordered, "Both with cream, and a little cinnamon on top, please and thank you."
"Coming right up." The waiter said, as he went back into the café to put in everyone's orders.
Six minutes later, everyone got their drinks, and told each other many stories, making each other laugh, and had some strategy ideas for the tournament coming up. Sun was most interested about Ryan's incredible adventures and stories, as well as Ruby and Yang.
"WHAT!? No Way!" Sun exclaimed in amazement, "You were a former type of god, You're half Demon, and you come from a world that is made up of different worlds, Including ours?"
"Yep," Ryan replied, "Sounds hard to believe at first, but when you see me in action, you're gonna have to believe me."
"He's not kidding," Ruby vouched for him, "When we first found him, he had skills beyond ours."
"And his Semblance was no Joke either," Blake added on, "We saw him turn into his demonic side, and when we saw him in his Dark Drive, he could've send us flying."
"Before you guys stopped me from doing so." Ryan interjected, as everyone laughed at what he said.
After a couple of hours laughing at the many stories everyone had to share with each other, and finishing their drinks, Team RRWBY said goodbye to Sun, as they headed for Beacon Academy for the night.
. . .
After a couple of Hours later, Team RRWBY was hanging out in their dorm room, getting ready for the night. Ryan was listening to his mix on his phone, as he looked over to see what Weiss was doing. Ryan paused the music on his headphones, and walked over to the Ice Queen. "Hey Weiss... Whatcha' Doin'?" He asked.
"Just organizing my dust," Weiss Replied, "Preparing Myself for the Vytal Tournament."
"'Kay Then." Ryan replied, looking at the vials of Dust, "Fire, Ice, Water, Earth, Lightning, Gravity, Wind, and..."
"Energy, the green dust." Weiss told him.
"I knew that." Ryan replied, as he carefully picked up a canister of Fire dust, an Idea came into his head, "You don't mind if I have a look at this, Right?" he asked.
"Not at all." Weiss replied.
"Thanks," Ryan replied, "Hey Ruby, Blake, Yang? Mind if I see your Weapons?"
"Sure..." Yang replied, as she handed Ryan her Ember Celica.
"Why do you need them?" Ruby asked, handing over Crescent Rose.
"Just want to look at them." Ryan told them.
"Alright." Blake said, handing over her Gambol Shroud.
"Thanks guys," Ryan replied, as he headed over to the desk, got out his toolbox, trick bullets, ammo, and his guns, and got to work on his Idea.
A/N: Well, Well, Well... What can I have going on in my head that needs Blake, Ruby, and Yang's Weapons? We'll find out in the next chapter. And I know, Team RWBY meets Penny, after they chase after Sun... But I decided to change it up a bit. Other than that, I think I'm starting to get closer to Yang. But what do you guy's think about it? Ask in the comments below.
