Wealth. Fame. Power beyond your wildest dreams. Gol D. Roger, the King of the Pirates, had attained all the world had to offer while combating an incurable disease. Before he was executed, he uttered these famous words:
"You want my treasure? You can have it! I left everything in one place...Now you just have to find it!"
Ever since, hundreds, if not thousands, had taken to the sea, searching for One Piece, the treasure of all treasures. But this was no mere treasure hunt, for the seas of Roger's world defied conventional thought and were loaded with fantastic creatures and freakishly powerful pirates.
Five years after Roger's execution, a great discovery was made: a gateway to another world was found. Their world was not the only world connected to this new world, however.
The new world was a world where amazing powers were commonplace and the strongest of these power-users were considered Heroes or Villains, depending on how they used their powers, which they called Quirks.
Pirates seeking to escape from the Marines or to retire from the life of sailing rushed to this gateway, where they started new lives. Marines often pursued the Pirates through this gateway and often clashed with the authorities of Earth. These incidents among other things led to the development of a cold war between the World Government that ruled Oceanus (The World of the Blue Sea) and the United Nations of Earth.
And this is where our tale begins, with one such pirate who settled on Earth…
"Come on daddy!" Excitedly said a 4-year-old boy with chubby freckled cheeks and fluffy dark green hair. "Come and see! Come and see!"
"Alright buddy, I'm coming." Chuckled the boy's father, a tall, lean, well-built, and handsome young man with an orange cowboy hat covering black hair and a dusting of freckles on his face.
The boy dragged his father to his room in front of a computer, showing a muscular blonde man saving several citizens from a collapsing and burning building.
"Whoa does your mother know about this video?" The father chuckled before a woman's voice came in.
"Know about What, exactly?"
The two turned around to see a beautiful petite woman with long green hair in a ponytail, holding a rolling pin in her hands. Naturally, they were startled that she had snuck up from behind.
"Um...N-nothing, honey!" The man, Portgas D. Ace, weakly denied...only to see his wife, Inko Midoriya, was not buying it. Luckily, the video gave her an answer:
"Have no fear...Because I AM HERE!"
"See Mommy? It's All-Might! The little boy, Izuku Midoriya, excitedly pointed at the computer. "I'm gonna just like him when I get my Quirk! A hero who knocks out bad guys and calms down everyone with a smile!"
"Hey, what about us?" Inko pointed out as Ace seemed to be comically hurt. Izuku noticed this and gave a smile that could warm the coldest of hearts.
"Don't worry! I'll be super nice and caring like Grandpa and you guys too!"
Ace and Inko immediately scooped their son into a big hug, causing him to giggle happily. However, Inko perked up when she remembered something very important.
"Ace, don't you and Izuku have to go to Katsuki's birthday party?" Inko asked her husband.
This caused Ace and Izuku's eyes to widen in realization as they immediately got prepared. Izuku quickly got the wrapped gift he was going to give to his childhood friend and honorary brother in all but blood while Ace put on a nice shirt since Inko constantly told him to look decent in public.
After kissing Inko goodbye, Izuku and Ace took the latter's motorcycle, a flame-decorated motorcycle named Striker II with a sidecar attachment that Izuku could ride in and took off.
Everything seemed so nice and peaceful for Ace and his family, but this would soon be the day where the worlds of both Pirates and Heroes would be flipped upside-down. And it started with an explosion.
"Papa! What's going on?!" Izuku fearfully asked as Ace stopped his motorcycle to see the flipped-over cars and panicked civilians. Suddenly, he spotted someone he had never hoped to see again.
"It can't be...YOU!" Ace yelled.
"ZEHAHAHAHAHAHA!" laughed the mysterious man.
A Month Later:
Ace had been imprisoned at Marineford after being defeated and captured by Marshall D. Teach AKA Blackbeard. Izuku had luckily been spared. However, due to his young age, he was unable to go help save his dad. He was stuck along with his mother and the Bakugo Family watching the public broadcast of his father's execution at Marineford while praying and hoping that his adopted grandpa, the Yonko Whitebeard, and his crew the Whitebeard Pirates, and their allies save his dad.
When they stormed Marineford, it was a massive battlefield. Anyone who was a name in the New World made an appearance, all the Vice Admirals were clashing with a pirate captain. The Commanders of Whitebeard Pirates faced the Seven Warlords of the Sea as their Captain directed them and handled the foolish and or arrogant Giants who attacked him with the power of his [Tremor-Tremor Fruit].
No side emerged unscathed; bodies began to amass and wounds became obvious, but the Pirates refused to fall. Oars Jr. in particular was the most adamant on saving Ace; even after being hit with an Ursus Shock, losing a leg to Donquixote Doflamingo, and being impaled by Gekko Moriah's shadows, he kept going. However, his wounds caught up with him and he collapsed into unconsciousness.
Luckily Luffy not only stopped Ace from being executed on the spot but also made his declaration to everyone that he would be the next King of the Pirates.
Izuku happily watched his father being freed and reuniting with Luffy; they were ready to escape when a new obstacle blocked their path; Admiral Akainu.
"So, now that you and your brat have been saved, the pirates flee? Hmph. What a bunch of cowards...like Whitebeard."
Ace paused in his step, which didn't go unnoticed by Izuku and Luffy.
"Daddy?" Izuku said as noticed his dad stopped moving.
"Take. That. Back." Ace growled.
"Ace!" Luffy called out. "Now's not the time!"
"Daddy, please come back home!" Izuku shouted at the television, but his father was too enraged to hear him.
"It's true, isn't it?" Akainu asked. "Like it or not, your father conquered the Grand Line and, as much as I hate to admit it, earned his title as King of the Pirates. What has Whitebeard done? Kept a few islands safe and cultivated the image of a hero? HA! What a laugh."
Ace's form erupted into flames as magma burst from Akainu's. Both men glared at each other with pure hatred in their eyes.
"SHUT YOUR MOUTH! YOU DON'T KNOW ANYTHING ABOUT THE MAN WHO SAVED MY LIFE! THIS IS HIS ERA! FIRE FIST!" Ace yelled furiously.
"HELLHOUND!" Akainu retorted as he launched his own attack.
"No, daddy! Don't!" Izuku called out to the TV but it was too late. His father was sent reeling back.
"Ace!" Luffy cried as he watched Ace get hurt.
"Should've listened to your brother. My magma is superior to your fire." Akainu growled. "The son of Roger and the son of Dragon. So much evil in this place. I may not get everyone else, but..."
Akainu trained his eyes on Luffy and then coated his fist in magma as he lunged towards the pirate. Ace recovered to see the Admiral about to kill his brother.
At that moment, like any older brother in his place, Ace lunged in front of Akainu's magma-covered fist, taking it directly through his torso. Time seemed to stop as everyone paused and watched in horror.
"D-Daddy...?" Izuku whimpered as he watched what had happened.
Luffy caught Ace's dying body as it collapsed.
"Thank you all for loving me. Inko and Izuku, I am sorry." Ace weakly said before smiling for the last time.
And just like that, Ace collapsed, his body unmoving, a burning hole in his torso from where he took the blow for his brother's sake.
Back at Mustufatu, the Midoriya household was silent. The silence was broken by an anguished and emotional cry from Izuku.
"DADDYYY!"
Before Akainu could capitalize on killing Luffy next, he was intercepted by Marco, First Mate of the Whitebeard Pirates. Allowing Jinbe to pick up the catatonic Luffy and flee. Akainu eventually blasted away Marco and began pursuing Luffy. However, he was stopped by an enraged Whitebeard who proceeded to defeat the Admiral with a powerful attack using his [Tremor-Tremor Fruit], literally splitting Marineford in half in the process.
In the end, Blackbeard himself arrived alongside his crew. After a tense battle with Whitebeard, Blackbeard managed to deal a fatal blow but not before the Strongest Man Alive shouted his last words for both the Pirate and Hero Worlds to hear.
"THE ONE PIECE IS REAL! AND MY GRANDSON WILL BECOME THE WORLDS' GREATEST HERO!"
Edward "Whitebeard" Newgate. The Strongest Man in the world. Bounty of 5,046 Billion Berries. Aged 72 and in failing health. Died on his feet, after having been slashed and stabbed 267 times, shot by 152 bullets, and hit by 46 cannonballs. Even then, he did not have a single wound on his back.
Blackbeard used a special technique with his [Dark-Dark Fruit] to absorb his former father-figure's [Tremor-Tremor Fruit]. However, he was then stopped by "Red-Haired" Shanks, whose mere presence caused all fighting to cease.
Despite the tragedies that had been suffered, the story would soon lead to a bright future...as Izuku Midoriya son of Fire Fist Ace became the greatest Hero both the Pirate and Hero worlds had ever seen!
