Ok I have decided to slightly revise the existing story and make it a bit longer

Naruto will be smarter and quieter than canon.

Short summery- Naruto is lost after the battle on the bridge during the mission in wave country. He wakes up on an island with a few damaged yet fully armed world war 2 era warships, and a tank carrier anchored in the middle of nowhere. He has no memory of his past; he only remembers his ninja skills (almost none to be honest). He learns how to use the unknown weapons aboard the ships, learns how to operate the ships, and can operate the vehicles found on one of them. (Tanks, jeeps, etc.)

He later interferes with the Kiri civil war.

Now we jump into the story.

Captain of the Land of Fire

Ch.1 Memory lost; allies gained.

Naruto didn't remember the last time he felt sand everywhere on his body, in fact he couldn't remember anything that happened before he woke up on the beach he was currently on. All that he did know was that he hated sand, it gets everywhere and is uncomfortable. When he began to get his senses back, he discovered that there were many massive metal ships anchored offshore. Most of the ships looked battered and broken and there were two that didn't look like ships at all beached not far from where he was currently located.

Naruto looked behind himself to see a forest with ruins visible.

'I'll take my chances with the ruins for right now, though I will return later.' Thought Naruto as he stood up and made his way to the ruins.

When he arrived, upon closer inspection he found out that the ruins were a military outpost next to a village, what he found confused him. There were signs of battle but there weren't any human remains. Many of the buildings had blood stains but no bodies were found. Promising to find out what happened later he decided to take the rest of the day searching for any possible food, and find a somewhat decent place to take shelter for the night. He eventually found an old cabin within sight of the graveyard of ships, and a group of old fruit trees that looked like they had been planted by the cabin. He also found a gravestone with a name written in a language he didn't know. Though at the bottom of the stone he could read 'Rest in Peace my Friend.'

Deciding to head into the cabin, the inside of the cabin was small but felt comfy. It had two beds made of animal fur, a fireplace and a desk, though he was a little surprised to find a skeleton hunched over at the makeshift desk in the corner. In the hands of the skeleton was a what looked like a diary. Carefully Naruto took the book from who he presumed to be the owner even though the name on the diary was too faded to read. He opened the book and was pleasantly surprised he could read it. Though most of the pages were illegible.

October 23 1944

We encountered a strange weather phenomenon that circled the ship, but not like the eye of a typhoon. It looked like we were sailing through a swirling tunnel of clouds and lightning. (An1) The captain has ordered me to continue to sail through it, though not like we have much a choice. The destroyer that was with us tried to punch through the storm wall but was torn to pieces. All hands were lost.

Date Unknown

When the ship finally sailed to what we thought was the end of the storm tunnel I blacked out. I was awakened by the screeching of metal bending and the massive jolt of the ship running aground but after that I don't remember much. I awoke to what looked to be an American soldier tending to me. Frightened, I lashed out at the American but I didn't come close to hitting him. Surprisingly, he spoke my language and told me to stop squirming or I would open my wounds. He asked me how I got here. I told him about the storm and that I believed that during it my ship had run aground and sank. He told me that I was incorrect that my ship had sunk, that it was stuck on a reef. He then told me that I was the only one he found on my ship alive or dead. I didn't believe him. How could the whole crew vanish? He said the same thing happened to his ship and crew when he washed up here. I asked him who he was, he introduced himself as Sargent Johnson an army medic assigned to instruct navy corpsmen that were attached to a marine unit. He then told me to rest and that we would speak more when I woke up.

The next few pages were how the two became friends over time and how they found out from the village not too far from their cabin that they weren't in their own world anymore as none of the maps looked familiar. Apparently, the storm was a tunnel to a different dimension and there was no way home. Naruto then came to the last few pages.

We both awoke to the sound of explosions and the cries of the injured and dying. We knew that there was a war going on but we were told that this village was neutral but apparently they ones attacking didn't care. We knew we were no match for them, Johnson being a medic not trained to fight and me being too sick. We waited till the battle was over to go check for survivors, but there were none. We were dismayed by the slaughter of the villagers, but we couldn't do anything about it. We set out to bury the remains of the villagers and the solders of both sides that were left behind. Though the attacking force left behind a nasty surprise on some of the dead. My friend was killed in an explosion when he went to pick up a dead child to take to the graveyard that was located to the north of the village. I was distraught about my friend's death, though I believe I will join him soon if this sickness gets any worse.

Two weeks have passed since my friend has died and I feel I will not last many more days. I am too sick to do anything but sit and watch the days go by. Though some new ships have appeared there have been no survivors. To who ever finds this journal please bury me next to my friend, I hope to find peace soon and I hope both worlds find peace after their wars soon.

Naruto closed the diary and placed it on the desk.

"I'm sorry your last days were like that Mr. Shin, but I hope you find peace in the afterlife."

Naruto then went to lie down on the bed and drifted to sleep.

The next day Naruto buried Shin by his friend and set out to explore the ships.

Two of the ships couldn't really be classified as ships to Naruto, they looked like rounded metal tubes with fins sticking out of the sides. (Submarines, but none for Naruto. That just wouldn't be fair if they were operational.) Naruto decided to not bother with those two because one had a fairly big hole in the center of the craft and the other looked like it was sheered in half. So, neither of them could be operable to get him off the island. (An2)

The next ship was the smallest of the bunch and like the two others wouldn't be any help to him. It had a design like the others but it was made of wood that had rotted away. (Minesweeper.)

The next three ships looked similar in size and length but only one looked to possibly be operable as the other two were either laid up on the beach on its side or littered with holes from sailing into rocks. (Destroyers, yay.) So, water walking out to the ship that looked like it was only stuck on a sandbar, Naruto climbed up on the ship and started to wander around. Eventually Naruto decided to just spam clones instructing them to explore the ship and to scavenge anything that could be useful.

With that Naruto made his way to a ship almost twice the size of the other ship and made more clones to explore it. (Battlecruiser) While still on the massive ship he saw two other ships that were larger than the ship he was on but were mostly burnt out metal hulks.

The last two ships looked different than the rest. They looked like they were not made to fight but to instead carry large amounts of supplies. What he found inside the two ships were many strange vehicles. (M4Shermans, M18Hellcats, jeeps, a float plane, and two motorcycles.) Naruto had no clue what to make of them but left the vehicles alone and continued on. Eventually he found a bunch of books that looked like users' manuals, though he grew frustrated because he couldn't read them because the were in a different language.

Naruto finally having enough of finding books and equipment that wouldn't help him at the moment decided to try his luck trying to turn up anything useful in the village that he might be able to use or learn how to use.

Naruto, seeing that searching alone may take him well over two days to search every building in the village decided to create a few hundred clones to search the village and the outpost while he would search what looked like the headquarters that was in the center of the outpost. When he reached the rather large door to the building, he found that it was one of the more intact building in the village and that someone or something tried to force their way into the building unsuccessfully, judging by the damage to the frame and area around the door. Deciding to test his luck Naruto grabbed the handle to the door but retracted his hand when he felt his hand be cut open by the knob. Surprised and slightly angry Naruto starts flailing around and yelling curses and other things.

"FUCK, who the hell"- CLUNK-

Looking up at the door Naruto saw a large seal covering the door and what looked like the whole structure. Noticing that the door was now slightly ajar Naruto pushed the door open all the way and stepped inside to see a wide-open area but found that the whole building was only occupied by an empty desk sitting in the center.

'First off how would I be able to open a sealed off building with my blood, and second, why would there only be an empty desk in the entire building?' he thought while accidently smearing his still bleeding hand across the side of the rather well-made desk. All of a sudden, seals appeared all over the desk, floor and walls and released enough smoke to fill the building. When the smoke cleared, Naruto saw many racks of scrolls, weapons, supplies, and armor. When Naruto finally picked his jaw of the ground, he started running around to every rack like a child in a candy store. With the help of clones, he made a mental list of everything he found and decided on taking only the journals, books on the art of fuinjutsu, and sealing supplies. Everything else would be kept in the building until he had need of it.

Eventually he made his way back to the cabin and waited for his clones to either dispel or to bring back what they found on the ships. To his luck one of the clones found an English to Japanese dictionary in one of what looked like mass sleeping quarters on the smaller ship.

'This may take a while to learn but to know how to read what the manuals on the ships would be worth it.' Thought Naruto as he started to read the book until he fell asleep.

-One year later in land of water-

In the year that Naruto was on the island he learned how to operate the two functioning ships he found, which happened to be a battlecruiser and a destroyer. learned how to fire and operate the two types of tanks that he brought with him, figure out how to fire and clean the guns that he found with dangerous trial and error, and learned how to wield a bastard sword he found inside one of the beached submarines. Also, with the help of his shadow clones he raised his chakra control from the abysmal level that it was to low jonin, and learned that he had the Uzumaki adamantium sealing chains bloodline. In his spare time, he learned how to use the single functioning float plane that was in one of the transport ships, and again with the help of a butt ton of clones mastered the art of seals as well.

Currently on the battle cruiser, which Naruto named The Silver Maiden, was hidden in some very dense fog was waiting to rain hell down on its' prey, a rather large loyalist base. For the last few weeks, he had been bombarding many different outposts and bases belonging to the Kiri loyalists and disappeared as fast as soon as he appeared. Naruto's plan was to get some semblance of revenge from Kiri for its' part in the destruction of the village, who he found out were distantly related to him, and also help out the struggling bloodline faction.

Naruto stepped out onto the forward deck see how far they were to the target. Gone was the absurdly short pudgy 4ft 8in boy, replaced by the 5ft 6in fit young man clad in Uzumaki styled anbu armor that was all black with a blood red swirl on the chest plate. He had colored his hair red to honor in his dead clan and covered his face in a half mask. On his back he had the bastard sword that he simply named 'bastard'.

While the ship was slowly coming out of the fog, Naruto heard signs of a heavy battle going on. What he saw when his ship cleared the fog were some rebels retreating to nearby ships, from what he guessed was a failed raid. ' Well they certainly gotten themselves in a pickle.' Thought Naruto. 'Might as well help them since I can no longer hide my ship. Well no time like the present to help them get clear so I can destroy this base.'

Naruto grabbed a sound powered phone off of the nearest bulkhead (A wall for the less nautically inclined) and rang the pilothouse. "Helm order the main guns to aim for the base but don't fire until the bloodline rebels are clear and I give the signal. Sound the horn and let them know we're here." He then hung up the phone and jumped over the side and rushed to shore.

-Bloodline faction near shore-

Defending the retreating rebels and liberated prisoners were some of the rebellions' most skilled fighters.

"You know Lady Mei, that plan was too risky, we were be open for an attack from behind." Said one of the high-ranking Jonin.

"Well we didn't have much of a choice, they were going to execute many prisoners that would be very helpful, any amount that we could get to join our cause would be a great help." Said Mei.

"Well if anything it was a partial success. We recruited half of the prisoners and the rest scattered, but we have lost too many battleready ninja to this rescue." Said Zabuza as he cut down two pursuing ninjas.

Both sides stopped for a second when a loud ear-piercing blast sounded from the fog covered water.

"Lady Mei, someone is coming out of the fog." Said a Chunin.

Soon after, what both sides could only best describe as a large metal ship came looming out of the fog. But what shocked some of the older ninja was that the ship had hoisted the colors of the fallen Uzumaki clan.

As many ninja stared dumbstruck some of the loyalists tried to finish off the bloodline leader while she was distracted.

"MEI WATCH OUT!" Yelled Zabuza as he tried to intervene but was blocked by too many enemy ninja to help.

Mei internally kicking herself for getting distracted on a battlefield, and seeing she could not move out of the way in time to get out of the situation scot-free resigned herself to be hit by their combined water dragon.

The three ninja almost got her but were cut to pieces along with the water dragon when Naruto appeared before Mei with his sword in hand, and created a large silver chakra barrier between the two factions. 'Sealing Art-Hardlight Chakra Barrier.' Thought Naruto as he lifted his hand off the damp ground.

"Greetings Lady Mei and others of the bloodline faction. I see that you are in a bit of a pickle. You are now safe to retreat to your ships " Said Naruto as he bowed to the leader.

"Who are you and why have helped us?" Asked one of the wearier ninja.

"Why I am the one who owns the ship out there, and I came to help because I doubt the turtle midget would accept help from someone from a clan that his predecessors tried to exterminate." Said Naruto.

"Excuse me, you haven't told us your name." Said Mei.

"Ah, Sorry I don't remember my name but you can call me Uzumaki since I am one. Now shoo. I have work to do and don't worry I will catch up in a bit." Naruto ordered.

The rebels didn't want to leave the one who saved them from loosing their leader and any more of their ninja but decided to scramble to their ships when Yugura appeared on the other side of the barrier.

"So, you're the one who foiled my trap. It was quite foolish face me and my remaining forces alone. You must be very eager to die, so I will oblige." Said Yugura as he started to transform into the Three tails.

"Ah so the great turtle midget appears." Said Naruto as he releases the barrier.

Yugura slightly angry at the name tried to swat the strange ninja before him with one of his tails but soon realizes that he is restrained by what appears to be silver chains.

"Uzumaki secret art- Chains of the Scorned" said Naruto as thousands of chakra chains shot out of the ground and wrapped around Yugura and his loyalists.

-On the rebels' ships-

Not far off the rebels all had their jaws on the deck in surprise at the sight of many chains subduing their enemies and covering the fort that they had just escaped from. One of the oldest prisoners gasped in shock. "Never did I think I would ever see the Uzumaki adamantium sealing chains again. It's been ages since I have seen another living Uzumaki and they still have the same penchant for over doing it." Said the old man. No one was able to say anything when a thundering roar shook and momentarily deafened the rebels. To them it looked like the metal ship was exploding but in reality, the ship was lobbing High explosive shells at the chained-up loyalists' fort. Ten minutes later there was silence as the steel monster ceased firing on the now ruined fort. The rebels stared in awe and a bit of fear at the destroyed fort and the ship that caused it.

-Back on the now ruined shore-

"Well what a surprise, you survived." Said Naruto squatting by Yugura as all the chains faded away.

"Uuurg…. What happened, where am I?" Asked a now a very drained and confused Yugura.

"You serious? What's the last thing you remember?"

"Working in my office and looking up to see a red eye and an orange swirled mask, then nothing." Yugura answered.

"Well shit, what I am about to tell you may shock you." Said Naruto as he began to tell Yugura about the civil war.

One somewhat long explanation later Naruto was back on his ship steaming the direction that he saw the bloodline faction ships were heading. In the end Naruto sealed Yugura in a prisoner stasis scroll for ease of transporting him to the bloodline leader to explain what had happened to him and to face judgement, even though he wasn't in control of his actions Yugura still felt responsible.

-Island controlled by the bloodline faction-

A chunin entered the rebel camp coming back from the guard station on the shore of the island and quickly made his way to the command tent.

"Lady Mei, some of the scouts have returned and report that a metal ship flying the colors of the Uzumaki clan is sailing towards our base. Your orders ma'am?" asked a nervous chunin.

"Guide the ship into port, I would like to thank the person that helped us escape Yuguras' trap." Answered Mei not looking up from the reports of the botched rescue attempt that they had tried to do. "Also bring the one in charge of that ship to me as soon as he gets into port."

"Yes, lady Mei." With that, the chunin departed to organize a few boats to help guide the massive ship into the somewhat small hidden port.

-About an hour later-

Many people both ninja and civilians that worked at the hidden port stopped what they were doing and watched the strange ship slowly make its' way to the only dock big enough to moor the ship. Once the ship was side by side to the dock the workers saw a person jump off the ship and onto the dock. A few seconds later they saw the ship glow blue and vanish in a large puff of smoke. When the smoke cleared, they saw a large scroll in the persons' hands, and said person started walking out of the port.

Naruto was approached a few minutes later by a timid chunin

"Exuse me, Mr. Uzumaki?" asked the chunin.

"Yes? May I help you?

"Lady Mei wishes to speak with you, please follow me." Said the chunin. Soon enough Naruto stood in front of Mei with Zabuza and chojuro by her side.

"Welcome…. We still don't know what your name is…" Said Mei with a sweat drop forming on her head.

"I'm not one hundred percent sure but I think my name is Naruto. Though I know for sure that I am an Uzumaki." said Naruto. At the mention of the first name zabuza stared intently are the young man in front of him.

"and why do you guess that is your name young man?" asked Mei.

"Because that was the name on the back of this-" as Naruto said that he held up a headband with the symbol of the leaf carved on the metal plate. "-was around my neck when I woke up. I really don't know who I was or where I was at the time so I really didn't look into or try to remember who I was right then and there."

"Brat, do you mind removing your mask for a second?" asked Zabuza.

"Why would I-" started Naruto but was interrupted. "So I can see if you are who I suspect you are." Answered the eyebrow-less swordsman.

"Fine" Naruto then lowered his mask and stared at Zabuzas' shocked face.

"So you did survive. Haku is going to be thrilled." Stated Zabuza in disbelief.

"Alive and kicking, but what's it to ya?"

"You were thought to have died in Nami no Kuni brat. Glad that is incorrect." Said Zabuza with a grin.

"Well that is all well and good but I have someone that needs to talk to you but first Sealing art-Room of silence" Said Naruto as a large seal spread over the inside of the tent. "There now we can't be spied on." Said Naruto as he unsealed a scroll.

-Poof-

As soon as the smoke cleared the three bloodline ninja jumped back and got ready for a fight. There in front of them sat an exhausted and injured Yugura.
