So yeah I recently changed my pen name to Mr. Blackberry mostly because Mr. Black was already taken but I decided to say fuck it and use a running joke that involves my real last name. Anyway so far Naruto is back in the village and has been promoted to chunin. For anyone that doesn't like that, tough shit, and for anyone that's wondering when the tanks are going to show up, don't worry, I have a plan for those. And yes there will be experimental weaponry like rubber bullets and flashbangs, no tasers though. Anyway some of y'all are probably thinking 'Get on with it!' so I shall.

Ch. 3 Reunions and Home

-Streets of Konoha-

Naruto currently was slightly annoyed. Why you may ask is because he was being followed by four different groups of people. One group were the anbu that he outran, the next were some children that were hiding themselves very poorly, the third group was the genin team that he disabled minus greenie, and the last group were anbu but their masks didn't look right. All he wanted to do was to check out his mothers' old home that was now his and wanted to repair it if needed. What he didn't want was his tails to follow him home and learn some things that they didn't need to. Deciding to screw with them a little bit he pulled out an orange book on sealing and started to walk aimlessly. While he was doing this he heard whispers from the civilians and passing ninja about being a Kakashi clone, and felt the ire of a few women passing by for reasons he didn't know. Though eventually he became too focused on his book and bumped into someone.

Naruto looked up and saw who he bumped into to see a man in a leaf jonin uniform, gravity defying silver hair, and only one eye visible.

Deciding to use a line that he vaguely remembered "My apologies, I must have gotten lost on the road of life and forgot to look where I was going." Said Naruto with a smile. Out in the distance one could swear they heard the sound of someone yelling 'YOUTH'

Kakashi looked like he just had just won the lottery and smiled (not that anyone could tell with his face almost all the way covered). The few that knew about Kakashi and his mannerisms just faceplanted on the ground. Though the three children were confused on what was going on.

With an eye smile Kakashi responded "That's ok, the road of life is easy to find ones' self lost on, tell me my young friend what book is that? I don't think I've ever seen it before."

Naruto closed his book and handed it over to Kakashi "It's a book on level six sealing techniques. Though what are you reading?"

"Oh just the best erotic novel, though I thought you were reading the same thing, I'm surprised that we have an up and coming seal master and yet I haven't heard of you." At this most of the women who were glaring at Naruto grew slightly embarrassed and looked away.

"Ah that's why I was getting some glares when I was wandering around."

"Yeah, if you don't mind what is your name, mine is Kakashi." He asked as he handed Naruto back his book.

"Naruto"

Kakashi was surprised and placed his hand on the boys' shoulder and vanished in a swirl of leaves, leaving Narutos' tails behind.

-Training ground 42-

When both ninja appeared in a clearing in the training ground Naruto backed up and sealed away his book. "what was that for?"

"Tell me, what is your full name" Kakashi said with a slight edge to it all the while palming a hidden kunai.

"Uzumaki" at that Naruto manifested a chain to block the kunai thrown at him.

"Well you are an Uzumaki but-" at this Naruto pulled down his mask.

"-and you are Naruto. Welcome back to the land of the living. Mind telling me where you've been?"

Naruto sat down and began a summarized tale of his adventures but kept some things to himself as Kakashi didn't need to know every little detail.

"That's quite a story. I'm not sure I believe everything but glad you are alive and well… ok in one piece as you don't remember much of your past, do you remember anything about me or your team?"

"Not much, I do sort of remember what they looked like but not much else. The boy has a duck like haircut and looked gloomy, and the girl had pink hair and looked kind of twiggy."

"you aren't that far off. You may not be happy with me, but with your supposed death we had to fill your open spot, though you may be happy to know that you aren't the last Uzumaki."

"What's their name, and when can I meet this said Uzumaki?" asked Naruto with a bit of joy in his tone.

"Well her name is Karin Uzumaki and we found her in one of Orochimaru's labs, and you should be able to meet her in about an hour, my team is supposed to meet me here for training."

"Cool I want to see if she has any of the gifts of out clan. Also do you mind not telling them who I am and that I got promoted for my actions in the Kiri civil war? I want them to figure who I am by themselves." Asked Naruto.

"You got promoted?" asked Kakashi slightly surprised.

"Yeah I'm a chunin now."

"Well I guess that being on the team isn't a problem anymore. Maybe you would like to help me test them. Sasuke needs a bit of a ego check, and Sakura needs to see that being a ninja isn't all fun and games. I kind of figured that you wanted to test Karin." Said Kakashi now back to reading his book.

"Sure, should be fun and maybe I can test more non-lethal experimental weapons." Cackled Naruto with a devious grin.

'Dear kami, what did I just sign my genin up for? ...Eh they'll be fine" with that they sat in silence and each read their books until the genin arrived.

An hour later the three genin came into view and looked confused. There was their sensei on time and chatting with some guy that none of them recognized.

At first they thought it was an illusion and tried to dispel it. When that didn't work they walked up to their sensei and the redheaded boy that Karin seemed exited to meet for some reason.

"Naruto looked at the genin and chuckled, they looked like they had been through a paper shredder. (Sasuke and Sakura look like they do in canon and Karin looks like she does in the chinin exams.)

"Glad to see you are on time for once sensei, but who is this and why is he here" asked Sakura looking at Naruto a little peeved that he seemed to be reading the same book as her sensei.

"Well I had some things to take care of while you all were completing the tora mission again, also this is a friend that just came back from a long-term mission and he will be sparing against all three of you today." Said Kakashi not even looking up from his porn.

"Why, he looks to be around the same age and rank as us?" asked Sakura.

"Seems like that large forehead is just for show, are you sure you want me to do this Kakashi? They may be out of action for a while." Taunted Naruto as he sealed his book back up. Kakashi just nodded and kept reading.

"WHY YOU URK-" started Sakura as she made to deck Naruto in the face but before she could she fell to the floor and couldn't move.

"This is your first lesson, don't let your opponent have any time to formulate a plan or set traps. As an Uzumaki it is dangerous to let me even have a few seconds to breath as I can spread seals around faster than you can blink. Now your objective is to capture me before I capture you, you will have ten minutes before I start to hunt you. Also I didn't say start. Now… begin." With that Naruto vanished in a puff of smoke and Sakura was able to move again.

"Asshole" muttered Sakura as she looked around to see only Kakashi was in the clearing. She then left to see if she could find Sasuke and team up to find the redheaded bastard.

'Heh, she is in for a rude awakening' thought Naruto as he looked to his left to see Karin looking up to the tree he was hiding in.

"So you are an Uzumaki as well huh?" she asked suddenly alarmed that she was being wrapped up in silver chakra chains and lifted up to his level. "That answers my question" she mumbled kind of embarrassed that she was caught so easily.

"Yes it does… so what gifts do you have from our clan? From the marks on your arm I'm guessing healing chakra. Anything else?"

"I can sense chakra, your chakra puts everyone in this village to shame and it's so… calm like the eye of a storm."

"Do you know any level of the sealing arts?" at this Karin shook her head, and Naruto sighed. "I guess I will have to teach you about our heritage eh Imuto?" asked Naruto with a teasing look in his eyes.

Karin blushed a little bit and nodded, "Are you going to put me down?"

"No"

"W-why not?" she asked a bit scared at the gleam in his eye.

"You need to learn not to have your guard down, and not to just go up to your opponent and start asking questions. Your punishment is being tied up upside down wearing a neon green jumpsuit. So lets begin." Said Naruto cackling menacingly and moving closer to his unfortunate victim.

Both Sasuke and Sakura shivered at their teammates' horrified screams, and were shocked to find their opponent in front of them sitting on the ground.

"So looks like you are down a teammate, what are you both going to do now?"

Sasuke activated his eyes and charged at his enemy only to fall to his knees coughing and hacking his lungs out along with being unable to open his eyes because it felt like they were on fire.

"WHAT DID YOU DO TO HIM YOU BASTARD?!"

"Wow you have a good set of lungs on you, as for what I did to him? He activated a trap seal containing liquidized peppers that sprayed out in a fine mist around him. Maybe that will teach him not to charge in without looking around and underestimating his opponent. Though if that doesn't teach him maybe his punishment will." Said Naruto as a group of chains wrapped around the coughing emo and drug him into the forest. "And then there was one." Said Naruto as he got up and slowly walked over to Sakura.

"Y-you said we had ten minutes before you came after us, it's barely been five." Said Sakura slightly shaking.

"I lied, during a mission you can't one hundred percent trust the intelligence that you are given. You have to be weary, is the mission more that it seems, is it more dangerous? Is it even something we can all survive? Some missions not everyone survives and you have to live with the consequences. You lost a teammate on your first mission outside of your village didn't you? Take that as a good example." Said Naruto as he stood in front of the now crying girl. "Now can you answer to me what made you want to become a ninja, and if you say it was to impress a boy I will strip you naked and tie you in the market square covered in glittery neon paint." Said Naruto laughing to himself at the fear in the girls' eyes. He had no intention to do that… ok maybe strip her down to her undergarments and paint her a neon orange with glitter, but he would not publicly shame her like that. At most he would leave her tied to a stump in the middle of the training grounds. But she didn't need to know that.

The shaking girl was silent for a minute and then meekly replied "I-I w-want t-to b-b-become a medic-nin that one day surpasses lady Tsunade."

"Good, good I would have hated to go through with my threat, but you need to learn a lesson. You can't freeze up in fear when you have to fight someone stronger than you. I'm not saying you have to fight a suicidal battle, I'm saying fight smartly and you can either come out on top, or live to fight another day. So for your punishment…" at that Naruto pulled out a large bucket of glittering neon orange paint and dumped it all over her. Shocked and a bit modified she finally passed out from a mixture of shock and fear.

'Well time to go back and give Kakashi my report.' Thought Naruto as he manifested some chains to pick up the now painfully orange genin.

When he had made it back to the clearing Naruto tied Sakura to a tree beside her teammates. Karin had been gagged and shoved into a neon green jumpsuit that he had glued to the clothes underneath so she would have a hard time getting it off. Sasuke had been stripped down and put into a clown suit, rubber red nose, panted face, and covered with glitter. Kakashi was having a hard time not falling to the ground with laughter.

"Did you have to go that far? I would bet they will have nightmares about this for a little while and hate you." Said Kakashi.

"You said give them a wake up call. I could have been a lot harsher and tied them up in the center of the village naked, would you have wanted to explain that one to the old man?" asked a slightly agitated Naruto, he was a little unhappy that they went down that easily.

"Point taken."

"You also need to train them better, that was an udder disappointment. Sure they can fight, but they don't know how to survive an unfair fight. Karin just walked up to me like I wasn't a threat, Sasuke charged in not even thinking about observing his surroundings. I mean come on the seal wasn't even hidden and it was yellow. Sakura never even put up a fight. She just sat there shaking like a leaf and sputtering about me not being fair. Fix your genin Kakashi or you might loose one for real next time." At the end of his rant Kakashi looked like he had seen a ghost and just nodded.

'You may now look and act like your mother but you have your fathers' intelligence and ability to make someone feel like a scolded kid.' Thought Kakashi slightly proud that the young man in front of him was no longer the child that was lost in wave, but was sad that he really didn't have a hand in teaching his former student.

"Now I have talked to both of your kunoichis, I still need to talk to duck butt over there, do you mind taking them back to where ever they need to be? Also can you tell Karin to meet me at this address? I want to talk with her about some clan business." Asked Naruto.

"Sure." Said Kakashi as he cut loose both of his female genin and threw them over both his shoulders. After getting a few muffled curses from Karin, he vanished.

'Now for the fun part' Naruto thought as he stepped in front of sasuke and slapped him in the face. "wakey, wakey buttercup I have some shit to tell ya."

Sasuke lifted his head and glared at the insane person in front of him.

"I demand that you-" he didn't get that far as Naruto stuffed a sock into his mouth.

"Listen here and listen well, the I'm better than you, bow down before me shit stops here. Your attitude will end up getting yourself or someone else killed on a mission. I would have thought that you would have dropped the attitude when your teammate was killed. Would you like that to happen to you or anyone else? I get that you were fucked up by your brother and that you have a hard time trusting anyone other than yourself, but choosing to be alone is hurting you more than helping. Now question for you to think about for later, do you think it is wise to follow what your brother told you to do? Don't you think that he might have been lying and said that to hinder your strength? Now if I hear you being doing your holier than thou bullshit I will tie you up in the women's side of the bathhouse and tell all your fangirls that you are there, Savvy? Now I am under no obligation to free you as I am not your teacher, think of this as escape training. Also, nice look it really suits you. Have fun dodging your fangirls." With that Naruto walked off to check out his mothers' home. He didn't get far when the Owl masked anbu appeared in front of him.

"You have been summoned by the council, please come with me."

"Was it called by the Hokage?"

"No, but he will be in attendance."

"Ok, lets go." Inwardly he was crying 'can't I just get to my mothers' house in peace?' he thought as he vanished.

-Leaf council chambers-

Naruto appeared before the door that led to the council chambers and knocked.

He then entered when he heard the old man say enter and stopped when he reached the center of the chamber. Naruto examined the chamber to see the ninja council sat on one side of the room and the civilians on the other. The Hokage sat in the middle along the back wall surrounded by his advisors. There were also a few seats empty on the ninja side.

One of the old bats beside the Hokage stood up and spoke.

"Do you know why we called you here?"

"Nope, and I really don't

care." many of the civilians and the two councilors glared at him at his disrespect.

" You have been called here because you assaulted six genin, have weapons belonging to Konoha that should not be in your possession, and are an unknown to the council. What do you have to say for yourself?" asked the old woman.

"I will admit that I did take down three of the genin but left no lasting damage and Hokage-sama dismissed that, and the other three happened to be a spar with lessons at the end. The rest really doesn't concern you civies only the Hokage." Said Naruto not really caring about this farce.

"You answer to the council boy, you will give us your weapons and you will tell us who you are." Said a smug pink haired harpy.

"Last time I checked this was a military dictatorship run by the Hokage, not civilians and old advisors. I will not hand over anything and you don't need to know who I am as the Hokage already knows." Said Naruto as he pulled his book back out and started to read again.

"Boy you will show us respect, we-" the pink harpy was interrupted by a silver chain imbedding itself in the wall behind her almost taking her head off and scaring the absolute shit out of her.

"Look I don't know you and you haven't done anything to gain respect from me. If anything this has made me not want to give you any respect as you seem to be on a bit of a power trip. Now may I be excused Hokage-sama? I really want to check out my mothers' house to see what work needs to be done to it." Replied Naruto as the chain slowly dissipated.

"Actually I would like to show you something that just released." Said the old man as he pulled out a small book and turned to a certain page.

The old Sarutobi closed the book and stared at Naruto.

"Very Impressive my boy, your parents would be proud of your accomplishments, your mother especially, she would be bragging to all her friends that her son could kick their children's asses." The old man said in a chuckle. "Now we have been sent an alliance request by the hidden Mist. They have requested a few things that are minor and will be ironed out during the up and coming chunin exam, now there is one major request that asks to marry off one of their kunoichi to one of our shinobi, one Naruto Uzumaki." said the old man with a grin seeing that Naruto was giving him a slight glare.

"Sir how can that be? Uzumaki has been dead for over a year, that would be…." Started Shikaku Nara but then stopped and looked at the young man in front of him.

"I see you figured it out, yes the young boy in front of us is Naruto Uzumaki."

For a few minutes you could have heard a pin drop but eventually the room was full of the civilian council yelling that it was impossible, calling for his imprisonment/death and so on. The shinobi side looked surprised that the young man standing before them was the brat that pulled childish pranks and wore a kill me now orange outfit.

The old man silenced the civilians with a small dose of Ki.

"Now why would I do that to a ninja that has brought us a potential alliance and unknowingly helped us gain a very profitable trade partner?" asked the old man with a sly grin.

At this many of the merchants on the council shut their mouths as they made a pretty penny with the deal they got from wave.

"Anything else that we need to discuss?" asked the Hokage clearly done with this meeting as he wanted to spend time with his son and grandson.

"If I may Hiruzen, might we ask for a demonstration of Uzumakis' skills?" Danzo asked reminding everyone that he was there.

"I don't see why not, how about an exhibition match against whoever would like to challenge him… let's say after the up coming chunin exams that we are hosting? That should give everyone time to be ready." Proposed the old man looking somewhat skeptically at the mummy.

"That is acceptable."

"Very well, meeting adjourned." And before anyone could say anything else Naruto vanished in a swirl of leaves.

-In front of a house in the less populated side of the village-

'well doesn't this look cozy'

In front of Naruto was a single story cabin that wasn't too big but had enough room to house him comfortably. When he went into the house, he saw it had a small western kitchen, a couch in front of a small fireplace, a small kitchen table, two bathrooms, three bedrooms, and a front porch. (Picture it as a cabin that an old retired man with a dog lives in that's somewhere in the middle of the woods.)

Naruto saw that much of the cloth furniture had been destroyed by moths, and that some of the small appliances no longer worked, and that he needed to repair some of the old pipes as some were cracked. He defiantly needed to get rid of all the spoiled food. But despite all of that it felt like home to him.

Deciding to get to work Naruto made a decent sized workforce of clones to help him repair his home. Though before he could help his clones he had to take care of his uninvited guests.

Standing on the front porch Naruto manifested four large chains and flung them at the intruders hiding spots getting a mixture of yelps, squeaks, and curses as his chains wrapped around all of them and lifted them into the air. He now saw the panda-ish girl, and the children that were tailing him a few hours ago.

"May I help you four" He said as the chains pulled them closer.
