So I hope everyone had a save Fourth of July and didn't do anything stupid, but that is not my concern. Anyway I don't have any plans to have anyone other than Naruto and his clan make use of the weapons, and no plans to pair him with any of the leaf girls. Most of them are all overused maybe with the exception of Shizune, though I have no plan to use her either. Naruto will have 2-3 girls. No more than that. Anyway, this chapter is more fluff than anything and the next one I plan to be the beginning of the Chunin exams. And Naruto isn't godlike, if it seems like he is, it wasn't my intention to make it that way, he can give Kakashi a good run for his money in a straight up fight and lose, but in a fight where everything goes he could trap anyone in his seals and beat them. Though he has no chance in either a fair or unfair against Hiruzen or Jiraiya.

I'm sorry if I'm moving it along a little too fast. It will slow down in a bit.

Ch. 4 Students, Tanks, and Family

-Pretty much where we left off last time-

"Well? Anything to say for yourselves?" Naruto asked the group of four hoisted up in the air by his chains. Even though he was annoyed by the interruption from fixing up his new (to him) home, he was slightly amused by the children gushing about how cool his chains were. The panda girl was silently glaring daggers at him but she also looked kind of embarrassed about being captured again.

Naruto was brought out of his musings by the young boy with a long blue scarf and green goggles spoke up.

"Wow mister your technique is so cool!" said the youngster with stars in his eyes.

"Yes, it's really handy, though you haven't told me why you have followed me to my home. Is there something you want something from me?" asked Naruto.

The three children looked at each other and looked back at Naruto and the girl with orange hair tied up in pigtails that stood straight up said "You look like our boss that went missing a year ago, but he didn't have red hair and wore an orange tracksuit."

"So you three wanted to confirm who I am?" at that the three academy students nodded. "Well I guess I am who you think I am but I am afraid I have no memory from before a year ago… it's a real pain in the ass not being able to remember anything and have people come up and say they know you and not being able to remember them." Said Naruto in a huff, slightly annoyed.

Naruto redirected his attention to the panda girl seeing her struggle to try to find a way out of the chains.

"You won't be able to get out of those by using chakra. Any chakra that you use is absorbed by the chains making them stronger. Now why are you here? Is it about me breaking your sword?"

At that Ten-ten stopped trying to substitute herself with a log and responded.

"I partially came here about my sword. How did you break it? That was chakra steel. You didn't even swing your sword and it shattered like ice, how did you do that, and what was that strange weapon that you used against Neji? I haven't seen anything like it and I know about almost every weapon that exists, the only thing that remotely resembles that is a kunai launcher, and even then, they don't work like the weapon you have." Asked Ten-ten.

"I'm afraid I can't answer everything you are asking about since most of what I have belongs to my clan." A lie but she didn't need to know that as it would be easy to pass off the weapons in his possession as a hidden tools of his clan since not much was really known about his clan other than they were seal masters of the highest degree and that most Uzumaki had enough chakra to fight for three days straight. "I can tell you about my sword since it was my own seals that are etched onto it. But my other weapons are not something I'm willing to talk about just yet." With that said he unsheathed his sword and activated the sealing array. "In a nutshell the seals etched into the sword make the sword vibrate at certain frequencies and I can adjust the frequency to either cut through objects cleanly or at the right frequency, shatter an object on contact. It took me a long time to perfect the seal to where it wouldn't shatter the handle, guard, the blade itself, or the bones in my hand…... a lot of the old weapons that couldn't be used anymore for combat were used for test dummies and many were destroyed in trails." With that said he poked a boulder with the tip of his sword, the four were shocked that the sword went through the stone like it was made of butter (que some sort of sword in the stone joke) a few seconds later the sword was up to the guard in the boulder and the stone shattered into many small pieces. Naruto dusted his sword off and sheathed it.

"Now any questions before I let you go and get back to repairing my home?"

"Yes can you teach us how to do that?" asked the boy that looked like he was having a hard time with allergies.

Looking at the children Naruto asked if all of them wanted to be taught the art of sealing, he would be happy to pass on the art but he wouldn't waist time on someone that wouldn't put any effort into learning. At the question all three kids nodded vigorously that they wanted to learn. He faced Ten-ten and extended the offer, but she said she would think about it. The chains dissipated and Naruto ushered the children inside his home to begin their training and bid farewell to Ten-ten. Ten-ten was a little unhappy that she couldn't get any information about the strange weapon that was used against Neji but went back to her father's shop to ask him about anything he knew on the weapon.

-Inside the cabin-

Naruto sat the kids at a table and put calligraphy sets in front of each of them.

"The first thing about the art of sealing or fuinjutsu, is that you need perfect handwriting. So you three are going to practice for a few hours before I go into the theory portion of sealing, but before that introduce yourselves, I may have known you before I left but amnesia is a pain." He chuckled at the groan from the kids about practicing their handwriting.

Naruto looked at the girl to start.

"My name is Moegi, I like reading and sewing, I dislike pompous pricks and arrogant people, my goal is to become an accomplished combat medic and have a large family one day." She said, Naruto nodded and looked at the kid with large round glasses and allergy problems.

"My name is Udon, I like math and any type of puzzle and gardening, I dislike bullies and pollen, my goals are to master fuinjutsu and to surpass Jiraiya of the toads."

Naruto then looked at the kid that kind of looked like the old man.

"My name is Konohamaru Sarutobi, I like my grandfather and uncle Asuma, I also like pranks, I dislike standing in my grandfathers' shadow and the villagers kissing my ass for who my grandfather is, I dream of stepping out of my grandfathers' shadow so people can see me for me and not the honorable grandson, and I want to become the hokage one day."

Naruto nodded and began "My name is Naruto Uzumaki, My likes are my friends and what little family I have left and the sealing arts, I dislike people attacking others for no reason and people that think that they can do anything and not pay the consequences. My goal is to rebuild the Uzumaki clan and to honor my mothers' legacy by becoming the best Uzumaki seal master in history." Naruto finished.

"Now practice your calligraphy, I will be nearby working on one of my projects if you need me."

"Aww can't you teach us how to make the seals now?" asked Konohamaru.

"Let me put it this way, if you try to make a seal right now, with your handwriting as it is, the seal will fail and most likely explode, summon a demon from another plane of existence, implode on itself taking you with it, suck you into another dimension, or not do anything." Replied Naruto slightly spooking his new students and they started to practice without another complaint. A few hours later Naruto sent them home with a book about the theory of sealing, warnings to not try to activate any seal they may draw without him present, and told them to come back when they finish the book and to practice their calligraphy every day. After they left Naruto fell into the new bed that his clones came back with and fell asleep.

-Next morning-

Naruto woke up to knocking on his door. Wondering who the hell would be wanting to talk to him at three in the morning, Naruto got up and opened the door to see the owl ANBU standing on his front porch. "How may I help you at this ungodly hour?" Naruto asked with a bit of annoyance.

"Hokage-sama requests your presence" With that owl vanished.

Naruto sighed and dressed himself in his full combat gear, then he too vanished.

He appeared in the Hokages' office in front of the desk, looking slightly annoyed at the old man sitting behind it. "Old man you better have a good explanation for waking me up at this hour. Hell, even the sun hasn't even thought of coming up yet."

"One of our Genin teams has been captured on a bandit extermination mission, apparently there were there were three Jonin and a few Chunin in the mix of bandits. When we had heard of the change in intel we sent two Jonin and a Chunin to reinforce them, but they too were captured. Now I'm sending you because we both know you are above your rank of Chunin but don't have experience leading others into battle, so this will be your first test for your promotion. You will be going on the mission with Anko Mitarashi and you will be supervised by Jiraiya. You will be in charge of the mission but he will be there to make sure the success of the mission. As much as I believe in you to pull this mission off I don't want to take any risks in losing any of my ninja."

"What is the goal of this mission and who has been captured?" asked Naruto now serious knowing that some of his comrades were in trouble.

"The main focus of the mission is to retrieve teem 8, Yugao Uzuki, Hana Inuzuka, and Hayate Gekko, but as soon as you retrieve them, you are to eliminate all hostiles."

"How would you like me to accomplish this? Silent and deadly or, Shock and awe?"

"I'll leave that decision up to you. Good luck and leave as soon as possible. Dismissed." With that the three ninja bowed to their leader and vanished to the front gate.

Naruto looked at the two people in front of him and slight look of disappointment at Jiraiya as he ogled Anko.

"What is with that look kid?" Jiraiya asked turning his attention to Naruto.

"I don't know Godfather, what do you think the look is for?" asked Naruto with a slight edge to his voice as Jiraiya started to pale and Anko looked at both of them surprised. "I will ask you to remain professional on this mission and not perv or goof off and we will talk about your absence when our mission is complete. If you do not comply I will seal your chakra and toss you into the nearest gay bordello. Do I make myself clear?" Naruto knew that it was a bit harsh but he believed that when on a critical mission that could cost the lives of comrades, one should be on their toes and not unprofessional like he heard the toad sage was on missions.

"Jeez kid you don't have to do that, I can be professional if I need to be." Naruto didn't look convinced but let it go for now.

"Now Mitarashi-san, I believe you can guess what I expect but you seem like you can control yourself, I believe we can work very well together."

"Brat I feel like we will get along great, but none of this Mitarashi-san stuff, call me Anko." Said Anko with a sort of crooked smirk.

Naruto nodded and motioned for the two to follow him as he jumped into the trees and headed south to where the bandit camp was located.

A few hours later the three were on a hill overlooking at a rather large bandit camp that seemed to be built around an abandoned mineshaft. The camp was nothing too impressive for bandits but had wooden walls surrounding the camp with what looked to be sharpened bamboo in front of the wall to ward off an attack on the walls.

Anko quietly whistled in appreciation at the size and how well the bandits organized themselves, though that was probably due to the missing ninja leading them. At the front entrance there was a lookout tower and a few guards from what they could see. They could see the inside of the camp and there were a few large tents and many small ones but they couldn't identify where the hostages were located.

"Brat I hope you have a decent plan as I can't find a clean way in or out of that place without raising alarm." Said Anko.

Jiraiya, being the master spy could see a few ways in but kept silent as this wasn't his rodeo, he was here to observe and to jump in only if he needed to.

"I do. Anko do you have any snake summons that can search the camp without being noticed?" she nodded and summoned a mass of small snakes and ordered them to search for the hostages. "What next kid" "Do either of you have any preference to how I accomplish this mission?" "What are you planning brat" asked Jiraiya now intrigued with what his godson had planned.

"Well what if I said I had a way to keep our comrades safe while raining down hell on the enemies." Said Naruto with a slightly menacing smile.

"Come on brat, spill what do you have planned." Said Anko somewhat exited.

"Well it's not a full plan yet, I still need to know where the hostages are."

At this one of the snakes slithered up to Anko and relayed a message. "Mistress, your friends are in the minshaft in the back of the camp, they are guarded by two Chunin. Also, there are other hostages further in the mine." With that the snake dispelled itself.

"Well that makes it easier. Anko when I give the signal, I will need you to charge in and get to the mine and place these tags around the area to set up a barrier so it doesn't collapse on you and then I want you to take care of any threats to our friends and to check on the other hostages. Don't worry about being stopped on the way, the enemy will be too surprised of what is happening to care about you." With that Naruto made about nine clones and unsealed what Jiraiya and Anko could only describe as large hunks of metal.

"Brat what are those?" asked Anko

"These are something I found on the island I spent a year on. They are called tanks… well one is a tank and the other is a tank destroyer. Get ready, you have five minutes before I start." Said Naruto as he and his clones entered the now identified armored vehicles. Naruto stopped and threw a bag to Anko before she was out of sight.

She caught the bag and looked back confused.

"When you get to the hostages and dispatch all the hostiles around them you might want to put those in and pass them around, it's going to get loud."

She now understood that they were ear plugs, and bolted to the tree close to the entrance.

Naruto climbed up into the M4 Sherman's command seat as four clones organized themselves in the driver, assistant driver, gunner and loader seats. The same for went for the M18 Hellcat. Naruto switched on the radio and checked the comms in the tank and then checked them between the two vehicles. Naruto affectionately named the Sherman tank 'Gladiator' while he named the Hellcat 'Longshot'.

-Longshot this is Gladiator, target the watchtower and then fire at any target that looks important, copy?-

-Copy Gladiator, firing in twenty seconds.-

Naruto popped his head out to look around for Jiraiya, he found the old perv up in a tree looking through a spyglass at the camp.

"Hey Perv stay here and enjoy the show, and if you feel so inclined call out targets for the clones to fire on. Also I would cover your ears. It's about to get loud." Said Naruto as he closed the hatch. He switched over to internal comms so he would be able to talk to his crew of clones.

-Driver, when the Longshot Fires drive into the wall and let's give them hell.-

-Roger Prime- Now all they had to do was wait.

-With Anko-

Anko was waiting to start her end of the plan but was getting antsy, she was worried about her friends that were captured. She looked at the sealing tags that Naruto gave her and had an idea to ask him to look at her seal later as these seals look more complicated that any she had seen in the village bar the barrier around the village. She was then brought out of her thoughts when she heard a loud explosion and then heard the sound of splintering wood and another explosion. The lookout tower that was previously in front of her was no longer there, what was in its place was a pile of burning wood and charred remains of the bandits that were in the tower. Thinking this was the signal that Naruto was talking about she dashed into the now panicking bandit camp making a beeline to the mine that her friends were held prisoner in, though on the way she cut down as many bandits as possible. When she made it to the entrance she entered and started placing the tags on the walls and celling as she made her way down. When she finally got to where she needed to be, she saw something that made her see red. The two Chunin Guards were Molesting Kurenai and Hana. She didn't want to give them a quick and painless death that she planed too anymore. She now was going to torture them cruelly… away from the Genin of course, she didn't need Kurenai after her for traumatizing her Genin.

Anko threw two kunai at the Chunin hitting them in the lower part of their spines effectively paralyzing them from the waist down so they couldn't run away, cackling evilly she finished placing the sealing tags and activating the barrier, and then drug the now scared shitless Chunin into the shadows and slowly cut bits and pieces off of the Chunins. (I don't really need to say what do I?)

When she was finished three minutes later she skipped back to where the captured Konoha nin were and saw that the Genin were shaking in fear. She then realized that even though they couldn't see what she did, they could still hear the screams. She also was covered in blood and grinning like a loon, so that didn't help. She bashfully looked at Kurenai with an apologetic look and cut them all free. When she did that, the Genin scrambled away from her and hid behind Kurenai.

"Thanks for the save Anko." Was all Kurenai could muster as she was still kind of traumatized from almost getting raped. At this point Kurenai, Hana, and the Genin huddled around each other while Yugao and Hayate stood by Anko.

"Well I couldn't let my Nai-chan be taken now could I?" she said with a grin.

"Anko how did you get in here and who came with you?" Asked Hayate.

"Oh well I came with Jiraiya-sama and a new special chunin brat. Though said brat has impressed so far. You all felt those tremors right?" at the question they all nodded as they heard a loud explosion near by that almost deafened them.

"Oh yeah he said to put these in when we got the chance." She said as she passed the earplugs around.

"So this is what is happening right now…." Anko said beginning the story, though she had to speak loudly due to the earplugs.

-With Naruto five minutes before-

Naruto looked over to all the improvements that he made to the tank while on the island, most of said improvements were seals. One was to increase the ammo storage. The tank now held three times as many shells for the cannon and ammo for the two 30cal and 50cal machine guns. (Normally 71 shells for 76mm cannon and between 300 to 600 rounds for the 50 and 6,000 to 6750 rounds for the two 30s. Now imagine tripling that. I mean there could be more ammo that could be stored but it would simply be overkill to have that much ammo.) there was also a seal that erects a chakra barrier to protect the commander when they were operating the 50. There was also a chakra draining seal on the tank so any chakra based attacks would be absorbed and used for the barrier. Water, fire, wind and lightning would not harm the tank. Though he mainly worried about an earth user flipping the tank over on its side. Naruto was brought out of his musings as the hellcat fired and he almost laughed at the sight of Jiraiya almost falling out of the tree he was in.

-Driver forward, smash through that wall, gunner load high explsosive and set a delayed fuse, see if you can get the shell to bounce, mow down everyone,- With that order the Sherman roared forward and slammed into the wall thirty seconds later reducing that section to twigs and splintered wood. The gunner then fired a high explosive shell at what looked like the mess tent, the shell bounced when it hit the ground and exploded in the air sending shrapnel in all directions shredding everything in the mess tent and a few yards around the mess tent. The assistant driver was mowing down with the machinegun, and while inbetween firing the cannon the gunner fired the coax machine gun mounted beside the cannon. Naruto himself popped out of the top of the top of the tank and took control of the 50cal and started to chew through many of the missing nin and bandits scrambling around trying to figure out what was happening. All the while the driver was running over tents and plowing through small wooden buildings crushing all that took cover within. While the chaos was going on in the now burning and wrecked camp the Hellcat was raining down explosive shells as well from the hilltop, shooting at any group that tried to flee from the camp.

Jiraiya for the most part was stunned at the massacre that was occurring in front of him. He was mostly afraid of the destructive power of the machines that Naruto had but he was proud of Naruto. So wanting to help he called out targets that were fleeing to the commander of the hellcat.

Back to the battle the Sherman stopped in front of a bunker that the tank couldn't smash through. Inside the two surviving Jonin and a few Chunin were taking cover inside. Naruto not really wanting to draw this out and remembering this was a pure retrieval and extermination mission and there were no prisoners to be taken decided to just burn them out.

-Loader, load two armor piercing rounds and then two willy peat rounds. Gunner try to make a large enough hole in the bunker and hit them with willy peat. (White Phosphorus if anyone is wondering.)-

The gunner fired twice and made a big enough hole to fire in the phosphorus rounds and after firing the willy peat rounds into the bunker. The missing nin inside were screaming themselves hoarse. They were being chemically burned alive. (if any are wondering the only ways to stop getting burned is to submerge affected areas in water, cover with mud, cut off affected areas, or apply a bicarbonate solution {baking soda}. For real don't fuck around with this stuff.)

Seeing that there were many wounded survivors all around the battlefield he ordered all but the driver to dismount and put the survivors out of their misery.

About ten minutes later the Sherman was sitting in front of the entrance underground. Naruto and Jiraiya walked into the mineshaft and after a few minutes of walking found the group of ninjas sitting around Anko making small talk. They all looked at Naruto and Jiraiya when they stepped into the area they were in and Anko spoke first.

"Well brat what is the verdict? They all dead?"

"For the most part, there may have been one or two that slipped away. Are they ok?" asked Naruto pointing to Kurenai, Hana, and the genin that still were huddled around each other.

"Well I am afraid that I traumatized the genin when I tortured the two assholes that were molesting Hana-chan, and Nai-chan." Answered Anko.

"Well at least their actions stopped there… anyway have you found the other hostages?" "No I haven't really looked yet." "Ok well take them out of here and I will look for them." At that Naruto went deeper into the mine.

Disarming a few traps on the way down, Naruto found a few cells that held some people from nearby villages. For the most part there were women and children, though mostly women. Creating a group of thirty clones, Naruto started to break the locks on the doors and ordered the clones to take the civilians out of the mine. While doing this he counted as many as thirty children, fifteen women and seven men, many were travelers and a few were from a nearby village. Though what caught his attention was a sleeping redheaded girl around two years in the arms of a injured woman that also had red hair and violet eyes. The woman looked fearfully at Naruto thinking he was one of the bandits and tried to lash out the best she could but toppled over in pain from the nasty cut on her stomach. She was surprised when he caught her and laid her down on the ground softly.

"Ma'am I am going to bandage your wound and try to get you over to our medic. I'm going to have to take your child from you. Does she have a name miss?" Asked Naruto as he picked up the small child.

"M-Mai… Her name is Mai. A-are you an Uzumaki mister?" she asked weakly.

Though he was surprised at the question he nodded and handed the child to a clone and started to bandage her cut, grimacing at how badly infected it was.

"Ah… I finally found a fellow Uzumaki, tell me where have you been? Are there more of our clan still alive?" the woman asked.

"I'm afraid I couldn't tell you as I can't remember much about my life. This is going to be uncomfortable but I'm going to have to move you to where our medic is." Naruto said as he lifted the small malnourished woman into his arms and he was surprised at how little she weighed and slowly made his way to where Hana was with the clone that was holding Mai close behind.

"Could you tell me about yourself mister Uzumaki?" asked the woman as she was carried by Naruto.

"Well I have recently just returned to my home after helping end the civil war in Kiri, I lost my memory and can't remember anything before a year ago, and I am a ninja of the Leaf village. What about yourself miss?"

"Well I was part of a nomadic group of merchants with my husband, we were both looking for any of our scattered clan, but we were attacked by those bandits and they killed my husband and many of the other merchants. That was a few days ago…" she passed out before she could say anything else and Naruto broke out into a sprint to quickly get the woman to Hana to get her medical help.

A minute later he could see Hana still huddled up to Kurenai and her students, Naruto slid to a stop on one knee in front of Hana and laid the woman down on the ground.

"Help her, please Hana." Naruto pleaded, worried about losing a distant family member he had just found.

At the sight of a young woman injured and unconscious Hana jumped into action and ran a diagnostic over the young woman and discovered that the infection had spread too far. The young woman had less than an hour. Hana looked up to Naruto and shook her head. "The only thing I can do for her now is to ease her pain. The infection has spread too far and there is nothing I can do now. I'm sorry." Said Hana as she scooted back from the woman.

Naruto looked upset at the news, and just as he was about to go back and look for more prisoners, Mai woke up. Naruto's clone handed her to him and Naruto placed her in his lap.

Mai was surprised that her mother wasn't the one holding her and started to cry. Seeing this Naruto sat down by Mai's mother and started to rock her back and forth trying to calm her down. He even removed his mask to show the toddler that he wasn't anything to be afraid of. This caught the attention of the genin as they saw the whisker marks on his face, though they stayed quiet.

Eventually the little girl calmed down and looked up at Naruto's face and reached for his whiskers. She began to rub them and socking all that were around, Naruto began to purr. With this the girl started to giggle and clap her hands. Naruto continued to entertain Mai until all of the prisoners had been freed and they all were all checked out by Hana. During this Mai's mother woke up and asked him to look after Mai as she knew she didn't have much more time in the world. Surprised at the turn of events Naruto had no choice but accept as the girl was the other only Uzumaki alive that he knew of, and he wasn't about to let her go to an orphanage. Soon after she passed away and Naruto sealed her body into a scroll.

With this the group of ninja and civilians walked out of the mine and were greeted with the sight of the whole camp decimated and both the tank destroyer and tank sitting side by side with Jiraiya sitting on the top of the Longshot talking to a clone about seals. Most of the group had their mouths open in shock while Naruto kept walking and entertaining the little girl in his arms.

All in all, a fine day of work, though this was going to be a pain to explain to the Hokage, and not have the council on his ass demanding him to hand over everything that he had. Yeah they would have to go fuck themselves.

So, yeah I'm a bit late. I had a lot of work to do and sad to say I have more coming up that will take me to areas that will have no internet so I can't upload chapters. This will take me up until maybe next July maybe August to upload more chapters. But during that time, I will write many chapters and upload them all when I get back. I also kind of want to write a Naruto x Halo story as I can't find many really long ones that are recent. Anyway Rate and Review.
