It was the first days of August when little Eri came across something that caught her attention completely as she walked through the corridors of the main building of the prestigious academy of heroes. It was a somewhat colorful and striking poster that alluded to an upcoming event to be held at the school for the students that seemed to be unclear to the little girl, while she was absorbed in discovering what it could be. One of the teachers appeared from one of the corridors noticing the little girl, which made him curious due to the fact that she was alone and without supervision as well as what she could be seeing, he approached her cautiously to find out what could be keeping her so focused and also the why she was alone, when he was a couple of meters away from her he could notice the cause without being able to avoid a slight sigh that alerted the little girl when she saw it out of the corner of her eye.
−"Don't be scared Eri-chan, it's just me" − said calmly the woman known as Nemuri Kayama as she slowly approached to give her space and not to scare her.
−"H-Hello Aunt Nemu..." − replied the little one a bit startled when she was surprised.
− "What are you doing here by yourself, I thought Midoriya-kun or Togata-Kun would be with you" − asked the professional heroine somewhat curiously that Midoriya had left her completely alone, something the boy would never do and she knew it very well.
−"Well... Grandpa Toshi needed to talk to them and they asked me to wait for them here with Aunt Neji, but then I started looking at the display cases with the pictures and then the posters and... I ended up here" − said the little girl in a low tone as she looked at her feet fearing that she had gotten into trouble and that it might have repercussions for her father.
− "And where is Nejire-san?" − I ask, already knowing the girl in question, Midnight would not doubt that she was out there distracted by something and unconsciously left her alone.
−"She said something about playing hide and seek and then flew off" − the girl's response did not impress her at all as she made a mental note to talk seriously with her about the responsibilities and consequences of leaving a child unsupervised.
−"I see honey... that girl doesn't change but well, I'll take you to the boys and we won't tell them anything about this~" − Nemuri replied as she smiled at him while winking at him in complicity getting a little laugh in response from the little girl.
−"Aunt Nemu... Can I ask you a question?"
−"Sure, honey, what do you want to know?" − This surprised the heroine a little, although it was not uncommon for the child's curiosity to be great and many of the teachers at the school enjoyed this about the little girl, some even expected her to do this in order to spend more time with her.
− "What does it mean what is written on the poster I was looking at?" − Nemuri stopped for a moment to look at the poster and examine it quickly when she began to become nervous about the contents of the poster which could be uncomfortable for Eri.
−"Oh that, you see... Nezu has decided to have a parents' day at school where there will also be a convivium in each dormitory, that's why posters were placed throughout the school for each student to inform their family so that they can attend" − Kayama felt that she was walking on active mines after telling the little girl what the poster said in summary form, she hoped that this would not affect her but she doubted that she would have any luck with it. When she looked at the little girl she almost broke her heart when she saw her eyes lowered, the poor woman cursed herself mentally for it.
−"I see..." − replied the girl, almost discouraged to hear the woman's response, who was thinking of how to lift her spirits to make her forget what she had said.
−"If you think about it, honey, you could have a lot of fun. There will be delicious food and lots of cakes to eat, as well as other sweets".
This completely changed the mood of the little girl who immediately began to imagine the delicious desserts and sweets she could taste. Nemuri sighed softly, thanking the girl for being distracted by this thought while she held her hand and took her to the All-Might office, I had forgotten the little girl's situation and to say that could have affected by far the progress of the therapy to which she was still being taken, just when they arrived the office door opened to show the two students next to the retired hero who was sketching a tired smile on his face.
− "Dad!" − Shouted the little girl as she ran to Izuku to be hugged and later lifted by him.
−"I'm sorry to have kept you waiting Eri, I hope you didn't get bored waiting" − replied the green-haired boy as he happily held her in his arms.
−"At least you are aware Midoriya-kun, why didn't you lean on one of your classmates or one of us in the teacher's room?" − Nemuri asked at that moment interrupting her student's pleasant moment with her daughter only to receive a puzzled look from the boy.
−"But I left her with someone Midnight Sensei, Hado-San was supposed to be watching her while Mirio Senpai and I were at the All-Might meeting" − mentioned the boy in his defense as he tried to find his Senpai with the look to confirm what he was saying only to realize that Nejire was nowhere to be found.
− "And a hundred, ready or not, here I come Eri!" − The girl's shout of emotion was heard calling everyone's attention at that moment to see her, Hado Senpai was floating and when he saw the group and especially Izuku holding little Eria in his arms he knew immediately that he would be in trouble.
−"I think I chose the person in charge wrong, sorry Eri, next time I'll leave you with the other girls so you won't be alone" − the little girl nodded as Mirio directed a glance at her friend in which she seemed to ask what she was thinking by leaving her unsupervised, something she would have understood if she had any idea how to read someone's look.
− "What did I miss, why is Kayama sensei here too, is she playing hide and seek like us?" − Asked the slightly confused light blue-haired teenager as Mirio and Izuku breathed a sigh of resignation at her usual behavior.
−"Leave it at that, Nejire-san, we'd better escort Midoriya-kun and Eri-Chan back to the dormitories to rest" − said the suspicious-looking blond boy familiar with a certain European comic book character as he took little Eri in his arms to sit on his shoulders.
− "Awww, but we were just about to start playing" − complained the girl as she pouted after hearing her friend's words as he cut off her fun.
−"Later, Nejire" − said Mirio to the girl so that she would be silent and not interrupt.
Somewhat annoyed, the bubbly girl took little Eri while she just said "then... a race to the dormitories!" and with that she flew away quickly leaving behind a couple of somewhat annoyed and worried boys, after a couple of minutes of flying Nejire had arrived at the class 1-A dormitories without any problems as she started to do her victory dance followed by her little companion of adventures and mischief, It was then that Eri remembered a question she could not ask Midnight and since her Aunt Neji is much more curious than she supposed she would be able to answer her and thus clarify her doubts... if only the poor girl knew how wrong her thinking was.
−"Aunt Neji, do you know about the posters that were put up on the wall?" − Asked the little girl, trying to attract the attention of the teenager who was still absorbed in her thoughts.
− "The posters on the wall, oh those posters, yes Eri, are for a full day with our families and will include breakfast, lunch and dinner along with other activities, there will also be presents from the school and from us although the latter is optional. I guess we'll have to agree on that, maybe at a more special time like after dinner or..." − the girl's mind started to wander even faster than Midoriya's in fanatical mode as she continued to ask herself questions left and right, leaving aside the girl who still had more questions to ask.
− "What kind of gift do you usually give, Aunt Neji?" − Eri wanted to know more about that specific subject since she also wanted to make a gift for her father and grandmother, something that the little girl would not waste.
−"Mmm... it can be anything from something very expensive to something simple like flowers or a card and even handmade gifts, the important thing is that it expresses all the love in your heart for them" − the teenager's words echoed back to the girl who kept her thoughts on the information.
−"Something that expresses all my love... thanks for telling me Auntie Neji!".
The older girl didn't quite understand but was happy that the younger girl hadn't become sad remembering something unpleasant about her past, after several minutes she saw Mirio and Izuku in the distance who were finally back in the dormitories, Togata wasted no time in scolding her classmate for the reckless way she had gone off with Eri which worried both boys, However, Nejire defended himself under the argument that he had experience flying with passengers so after a brief exchange of words and jokes the two older boys left Midoriya in the company of the girl he carried in his arms before finally entering the interior of the building.
As the hours passed little Eri was drawing in the common room in the company of some students who were watching a program on television, in her mind she kept thinking about that poster and the answers she had gotten from both her Aunt Nemu and Aunt Neji, sadly it was an activity in which she felt somewhat uncomfortable to participate although she saw everyone else very excited about it including her father of whom she would not doubt that he was preparing something special for grandma, Momentarily stopping her activity the little girl went to the kitchen to get some juice where she found all the girls gathered at the table discussing possible gift ideas as well as food and dessert options, it seemed that they could not agree on what they wanted until they noticed the little girl who was watching them with great curiosity.
−"Hello Eri-chan, is there anything we can help you with?" − Asked the cheerful Ochako who had risen from her chair to approach her, the girl seemed a little hesitant for some reason.
−"I want some juice but I don't want to interrupt what you are doing..." − answered the little girl as she clenched her fists a little uncomfortable to win all the girls' looks at that moment.
−"Don't worry about it Eri-chan, remember that we are here to take care of you and see to your well-being" − said Uraraka in a soft and understanding tone while he caressed her head making her smile.
−"It is true Eri-chan, kero, as Ochako-chan said we are going to be there for you no matter how busy we are, we will always make time to be with you" − mentioned Tsuyu as she tenderly took the girl's face in her hands while her friend had started to look for a glass to pour some juice into for the little girl.
−"Here is Eri-chan, a delicious glass of apple juice".
− "Thank you Chako!" − Replied the girl happily while the rest of the girls reacted to such a sweet scene.
−"I think it would be good to take a break, how about we go and buy some desserts and ice cream to have a girls' night out, you can also come with us if you wish Eri-Chan" − the mere mention of desserts and ice cream by Momo brought a huge smile to the little girl who did not hesitate to nod enthusiastically.
−"Don't forget to ask Midori-kun's permission, it wouldn't be good to repeat what happened last time and end up in detention again with Mr. Aizawa" − she was quick to say Mina who still had nightmares about it when Eri had been taken away to eat hamburgers, they had never expected Midoriya to react that way and even form a search party with the teachers believing she had been kidnapped.
− "Please don't remind us of that, it was two weeks of punishment that I don't want to remember without mentioning the loss of benefits we had!" − I claim Kyoka instantly to prevent her pink friend from going any deeper into that subject, none of them needed to remember that again.
− "Kyo-chan is right Mina, don't bring it up again!" − Tooru mentioned to the conversation as he vigorously waved his arms in protest.
Eri seemed confused by the reaction of the girls but decided to leave them momentarily to go with her father and ask for permission to accompany them to do the shopping, returning to the common room she found him arguing with Uncle Kacchan in what seemed like something important while the others surrounded them, as she could she made her way to see what exactly they were doing just to find a scene that for most would be typical but in the eyes of the little girl was something completely strange, she didn't understand why they kept the strange boy with the balls on his head on the floor completely tied up and gagged.
−"What are they doing, Dad?" − Asked the little girl, somewhat curious to see the way her father and Uncle Kacha had subdued Mineta.
−"H-Hey, Aaah...Hey Eri-chan, you see..." − Izuku tried to think of what to say to his daughter so that she wouldn't misunderstand anything but his mind didn't seem to want to cooperate which was only making him more nervous than usual.
−"We're punishing this scumbag who started talking obscenities about Aunt Inko and the old witch" − Katsuki's words completely upset the poor cinnamon roll who could already imagine her little daughter harshly complaining to him about being a bad person to others... or maybe not?
−"Will you make him fly in a rocket, Uncle Kacchan?" − The innocence of the little girl with that question disconcerted Izuku for a long time but made a certain blond explosive smile with enormous satisfaction for the idea that her little niece had given her.
−"I had planned to lock him in the broom closet for two hours but I like your idea, little Elsa, you heard it, you little pervert. We are going to have fun like you have no idea" − Bakugo's dark look and sinister smile promised a world of pain that the little pervert could not avoid no matter how much he begged.
−"Dad... can I have permission to go with Chako and the girls to buy desserts?" − Asked the little girl as she put her arms behind her back and moved the tip of her right foot from side to side a bit anxiously for her answer, something that Izuku found very adorable.
−"Sure, honey, remember to call me if anything happens and I'll go with the teachers to help you".
After receiving permission, the little girl hurried back with Uraraka and Tsuyu to tell them that there would be no problem like the last time and with that they all left the dormitory in the direction of the grocery store. The last thing the group of girls could see before retiring was a Bakugo dressed in a white lab coat and with a pair of protective glasses ready to put a certain pervert into orbit with the help of a slingshot, airplane gasoline, a floater and a medium size trash can, no doubt Katsuki had outdone herself in her ways of punishing Mineta and as soon as the trash can started gaining altitude she ended up exploding and throwing her crew member into a painful free fall.
While Katsuki was going over her data to discover that it had gone wrong, the girls had already arrived at the grocery store and without wasting time they separated to look for their provisions for the girls' night, Eri had chosen to accompany Ochako, Tsuyu and Mina who had decided to look for some bags of fried food while the rest had divided to look for the ice cream and some pastries, while the little girl was distracted by the great diversity of unhealthy food that the store offered. The three girls began to talk, taking advantage of the distraction to prevent her from hearing the topic they were going to talk about.
−"She gets distracted very easily, she reminds me of the first time I entered a store" − said Mina as she took some pictures of the little girl who kept smiling at everything around her.
−"Yes, it's good to see that she will have a better life now unlike the nightmare she was forced to live through" − Ochako's words reflected some of the pain in remembering the way she had met the girl as well as the pain in Izuku of not being able to save her from the moment they met.
−"I understand you perfectly Ochako-Chan, Eri-Chan found the best person to stay with, although it is a pity that it will take a long time before she can have a mother who loves her as Midoriya-Kun does" − Tsuyu's words gave the brunette pause for thought as she wished to be part of the experience that the boy she secretly loved was going through.
While Ochako was momentarily lost in thought the same thing was happening with the frog girl but with the difference that she didn't want to ruin her friend's chances with Izuku, as much as she wanted to try a relationship with the boy she knew deep down that it would never be possible, Mina for her part seemed to realize what was happening with both girls. And outlining the huge smile of the Cheshire cat, she didn't hesitate to make her move and maybe have a little fun with her friends' reactions.
−"You know, it's a shame that Midori-Kun doesn't have a girlfriend yet with how good and noble he is, any girl would be happy to have a partner like him" − said the pink girl maliciously who didn't miss any detail in the slight reactions her friends were experiencing.
−"Y-Yes... but Deku-Kun would hardly pay attention to some girl if she ended up making Eri-Chan uncomfortable!" − The brunette's comment was something that Ashido already saw coming so he decided to raise the level a little and push it a little more.
−"Does that mean you'll finally tell him how you feel about him or would you rather have some other girl try it to see if she has better luck? Since as you say Eri-Chan doesn't need anyone to make her feel uncomfortable which narrows down the options to our class, even Tsu-Chan might have a chance" − Mina's smile widened even more when she saw the reaction of the brunette who was babbling trying to give a coherent answer that wouldn't compromise her, while Tsuyu on the other hand had blushed in such a way that she hid her face in her hands without being able to stop thinking about it. Even both girls looked at each other for a few seconds without knowing what to say to each other or how to act.
Mina had started to laugh completely satisfied with what she had achieved so easily without noticing that a certain girl whom she thought was alien to the conversation had been watching and listening to them since they mentioned their father, So remembering some things that Aunt Nemu had told her about couples she came to the conclusion that Miss Chako had feelings for her father and very possibly also Miss Asui, that's when the idea came to her mind at that moment regarding the gift she would give to her father. She would get him a girlfriend so that he would not feel so alone and she would ask the smartest person to help her with that, after all, what could go wrong?...
