A blue explosion erupted in the hallway with a flurry of plasma bolts flying through the air as Sheila 065 and fellow Spartans held their ground but couldn't proceed any further towards I-Moons core.

For some reason the covenant forces were stronger here and that fact alone annoyed Maria as she fired a rocket into a group of grunts making them blow apart on impact.

"Why's there so many?" Grunted Jerome 092 as he tossed a frag at the incoming reinforcements.

"They must know what we're trying to do." She replied as she slapped 2 fresh rockets in to the launcher. Suddenly Izuku skidded in beside her taking cover "what's our status?"

"We're all fine but we can't brake through to the core with the endless number of covenant forces defending this section. And it's the only area to gain access to the core according to the schematics The Doctor and Melissa gave us." Explained Sheila as Sam rounded the corner and joined them.

Izuku nodded at him to acknowledge he was there and Sam returned the gesture. "We need a new plan then."

"Any suggestions would be good" called out Jerome as he fired his assualt rifle taking out a jackal hiding behind a forklift.

Izuku looked at the direction of the core and the covenant. Noticing their lack of masks for breathing with the exception of the small grunt species. With that in mind he looked at the architecture of the hallway they were in.

Fred flexed his hands inside his new gauntlets in awe. "This feels weird. But awesome" he glanced up to see Linda shoulder her rifle to examine how the new helmet and computer systems works with her rifle scope and had not yet found a flaw with the new gear set up.

"Now all the Spartans are armoured up. And humanity's best chance against the covenant." Spoke Halsey as she stepped back from Fred. She admired her work for a short moment until Izukus voice cut in through the coms.

"This is Spartan 117. Doctor, can you or Melissa find an airlock near our position?"

Halsey slid onto a nearby computer chair and pulled up the schematics and compared it to the tracking software in Izuku's Mjolnir armour. Her fingers typed away at the key pad as her eyes became laser focused on the task at hand.

"There's a maintenance hatch 200 meters south east of your position. Follow it and itll lead you to a maintenance airlock."

"Copy. 034 Let'sgo hunting" replied Izuku as he got off the coms.

Halsey furrowed her brows in curiousity "what are you planning Izuku." Fred turned to her as he shoulder his rifle.

"Doctor I believe it's time for you evacuate since you're the last one apart from the rest of the Spartan team."

"Of course. I'll join you in a moment." Halsey spoke casually as she continued to type away on a computer that was connected to her data pad that was downloading encrypted files that she noticed earlier when she was working with David.

Naomi 010 shifted on her feet as she watched the civilians climb into the pods to the maximum limit before launching them through the astroid belt towards the UNSC Commonwealth to be recovered. She glanced towards the UA students that were with Fred and Linda talk amongst themselves about what happened.

Suddenly the blonde girl amongst them jumped away from them and sprinted towards one of the incoming civilians from the party and wrapped him in a tug hug crying in joy. She blinked at the sight of such emotion.

As a Spartan showing emotion was a luxury they lost early in their training. So to see it so openly amongst regular people was something else. However she couldn't think about it for long as she noticed three figures down one of the hallways limping towards them.

It took a second for her to register that it was two girls helping a third which was wounded. "We need medical aid over here ASAP!" She called out to her fellow Spartans as she jogged up to the three holstering her shotgun onto her back.

The girl with orange hair grunted "She's lost a lot of blood." As Naomi approached she gestured for them to lay the wounded green haired girl down and began assessing the damage.

The girl was pale and ghostly and breathing shallowly. Her on board computer read her vital signs aswell as her blood type "I need at least two or three canisters of Biofoam and any type B blood." She called out over her shoulder.

Spartan 039 or better known to the Spartans and Halsey as Issac kneeled beside her with the biofoam and assisted in anyway he could to save the young frog heroine.

"Oh my god... TSU!" Shouted Mina as her and Kelly entered the evac bay thus grabbing the attention of the UA students. Mina quickly ran to Tsuyu's side with tears streaming down her cheeks.

Kendo and Toru quickly wrapped her in a group hug not only to comfort the pink girl but to also show how greatful they were to see she's alive. The UA students soon gathered around the group adding the pressure on to the Spartans.

Kelly stood back knowing better to step in and likely get in the way. She glanced around the room scanning and approached Fred as he escorted Halsey into the room with Kurt and Linda "Where's Izuku?"

"He's hitting the core with Sam and the others" Linda answered.

Bakugo's ears perked up at the name mentioned and turned towards the Spartans in shock and began to wonder if perhaps he might've miss heard them.

Kendo noticed the explosion boy's reaction but didn't think much of it only making a mental note about it for later. However Kirishima also saw Bakugo's reaction aswell as hearing the Spartans short conversation.

The two UA students had an odd love hate relationship but it was fair to describe the two as close friends. Close enough that kirishima knew about Bakugos passed about what he considered the shitest day of his life. And why he was so close with Jon Midoriya and his family.

But what are the chances of this Izuku being the same person? No no it was impossible because the actual izuku Midoriya was dead. The guilt that drove Katsuki to be a better hero was proof of that.

Although Kirishima has heard that Midoriyas father had grown skeptical about the circumstances of his son's death. He never actually meet the man to confirm the subtle whispers he heard from Inko and Katsuki.

Before these thoughts could continue. The soldier that rescued Mina grunted in annoyance before turning on her heel before charging off back down the hallway she just came from.

Izuku and Sam waited for the room to depressurise before opening the door to the outside of the moon. As they slowly stepped out they noticed the change in gravity.

"065. We're outside. Moving to next position" reported Sam as he and Izuku did a weapons check.

"Copy. We still got reinforcements hammering at us but will continue holding this position." Answered Sheila.

Izuku took point and jumped through the nonexistent air towards another hatch that was behind the covenant forces. Halfway towards it however Izuku's eyes widened at what he just discovered.

"I think I know why there's so many defending the position." He said to Sam. His friend stood beside him as they both landed and stared at the large covenant ship that was docked at the back entry point of the core.

"How the hell did a thing that huge get through the astroid belt with no one noticing?" Wondered Sam out loud.

"Reports say that the covenant have more advanced technology then anything we have. Who knows the limits of their knowledge." Said Izuku as he observed the large maroon/purple coloured vessel. Izuku glanced at the core and began to mumble.

"There's not doubt that once we blow the core it'll completely turn the moon and any astroids within a 5 kilometre radius to oblivion. But we don't know how strong the energy shields are for covenant ships. For a we know the ship could survive the blast and pursue us in the Commonwealth."

"He's mumbling again" spoke Kelly as she landed beside the two startling Izuku out of his thoughts "S-sorry"

"Don't stress. Did at least come up with a plan?" Asked Sam

"We continue with the original plan. But just add an extra objective to board and blow that ship." Said Izuku casually.

Sam and Kelly shared a look. Before Sam shrugged "Glad you're not giving us something too easy."

Sheila waited a moment behind cover until she heard the satisfying sound of her frag exploding and the shouts of surprise and pain shouted by the Grunts and Jackals.

She peeked her head around the corner only to see an Elite step out into the open a roar pointing in her direction "WORT WORT WORT!!!"

More grunts and jackals along with other Elites ran out firing plasma bolts on to her position. Jerome grunted in annoyance "It's like we aren't making a dent in their numbers at all"

"Let's change that"

Spoke Izuku over the comms. After that gunfire erupted from behind the covenant causing confusion amongst their ranks. Jerome and Sheila looked up to see Kelly, Sam And Izuku taking them apart.

"Engage!" Called out Sheila to the other Spartans and all took advantage of the distraction provided by their team leader.

With bullets pelting the covenant from both sides left them confused not knowing what to do thus causing them to loose the fight they had fought so hard to win. A lone grunt that was still standing made an attempt to make a run for safety only for Kelly to hit him with her fist hard enough to be a final blow.

Izuku approached Jerome and Sheila as he quickly switched magazines on his rifles. "Who's got the nukes?"

"Spartans 141 and 030 have them Sir. We told them to hold back to keep the nukes secure." Answered Jerome

Izuku nodded and radioed Cal 141 to come over to his position. Cal approached Izuku and stood at attention "Sir!"

"I'm gonna need that nuke Spartan" spoke Izuku evenly.

"Sir? Why?" Cal replied as Jerome and Sheila shared a look of confusion before turning back to Izuku.

"Use 030's Nuke to blow the core. I'm taking that one to blow the covenant ship."
