Aboard UNSC Stealth Class Vessel: Point Blank
Izuku stared out into the blackness of space and into the endless stars beyond with clench fists as his frustrations built up with in him. He and his fellow Spartans were teamed up with a battalion of ODST's as part of a secret mission to attack the covenant ships in a series of hit and run tactics in a Operation called SILENT STORM.
Dr Halsey had pushed for Izuku to lead the operation. Whether that was because the doctor thought he was the right choice or the fact she was stubborn and believed her Spartans were superior enough that they deserved special treatment Izuku wasn't sure.
But whatever the reason. Her request was denied.
Izuku was releived for that due to the fact he wasn't comfortable leading an entire military operation. Being squad leader for the Spartans was one thing. Because they were family. He knew what made them all tick. Strengths and weaknesses. That was entirely different from leading different divisions of ODSTs and Prowler pilots.
Unfortunately during the early days of the operation it has been slipped to other commanding officers of the Spartans true age and this brought its on problems. When it comes to teaching heroics to school students his age there doesn't seem to be a problem with teenagers fighting Villians with any unknown dangerous quirk.
However the military seem to have a problem with child soldiers. Yes the idea of fighting in combat against someone who is trying to kill you is slightly different from fighting a purse snatcher. But in the modern world of quirks both have the potential to end your life.
This didn't matter to operation commanders. So rather then be on the front lines making a difference like they were trained to. Izuku and the Spartans became nothing more then glorified sercurity guards.
And this is the cause of Izuku's frustration. Had he and his Spartans not proven they are suitable to be boots on the ground in the middle of combat?
"Something on your mind son?" Asked a voice from behind him.
The green haired soldier turned to face a black gentleman with a moustache wearing a marines cap along with a standard uniform whilst chewing on a cigar.
Izuku realised it was Staff Sergeant Avery Johnson and since he was the only one around it was logical to assume that Johnson was speaking to him.
If the UNSC had to pick a poster boy to represent what a hardcore military outfit the Marines were. Then Johnson was their man. The sergeant had been selected to be part of the Spartans as an advisor due to his experience as being one of the only humans that had successfully boarded a covenant vessel during the battle on Harvest.
But Izuku suspected he was meant to learn more from the man then just knowledge about a covenant cruiser. From the moment the man laid eyes on the young Spartan, Izuku knew Johnson had something that Izuku had yet to gain.
Years of actual combat experience.
"You could say that." Izuku replied after a moment before he returned to star gazing out the shuttle bay windows.
Johnson stepped beside him as he took a drag from his cigar. "I assume your concerned about Crowther giving you the undesirable end of the stick so to speak?"
Izuku nodded and attempted to hide his surprise that the sergeant knew what was on his mind. He blamed the fact he wasn't wearing his armour at that point for being read so simply. Which added on to another thing Izuku needed to learn from Johnson. How to read people and how to handle them in conversation to the point of manipulation for ones own benefit under the right circumstances.
"No one seems to be showing any respect towards me or my Spartans" sighed Izuku.
"I've read the reports on your past missions. The stuff Yakuza was pretty much black labeled so I didn't see much of the details. I did however watch some helmet cam footage of the I-Moon invasion. You did good work there" commented Johnson
"But I lost a Spartan... and not to mention the casualties to civilians and heroes." Mumbled augmented teen. The affect of Sam's death hadn't taken full affect until now. With Crowther denying him and his team actual missions had cause the young Spartan to have some self doubt about his abilities. And that perhaps losing Sam was a reflection on his ability to lead.
He felt Johnson's hand rest on his shoulder and grip slightly "Death in combat is an everyday occupational hazard in the work we do. Especially someone like you kids. As for the pro heroes and civilians well that wasn't something you had control of. Especially against these split lipped bastards."
Izuku turned to the man "I appreciate the words sergeant. Just wish theyed let me and the others fight."
Johnson smiled "Just be patient. You all will get your chance."
Aboard UNSC Prowler: Starry Night
Prowler Corp Lieutenant Commander Hector Nyeto sat in his private quarters rubbing his chin deep in thought. His dealing with Operation: Silent Storm had him stressed. Especially Crowther being so difficult to deal with.
But fortunately Crowthers stubborn attitude will work to his advantage in the long run. Hopefully his disregard to the Spartans abilities will eventually allow Nyeto to gain their trust. Especially their leader Spartan 117.
He has no doubt the Spartans are an important key element into battling the covenant. But how long before ONI decide to turn the Spartans onto the insurrection?
He'd already access their file on the Yakuza raid and how the captured Kurogiri. That in itself was impressive but again an annoyance. Even more so when the Master had informed of warp users capture.
So that alone should be enough to convince his Master and the other Insurrectionist leaders that the Spartans need to be eliminated.
His computer began to flash a notification of an incoming call with no caller ID. He gulped nervously assuming it's someone outside the UNSC. None of them had caught on that he was basically a double agent yet. That he was certain of.
After double checking the room was secure he took a deep brief and answered the call "hello?"
"Nyeto... I don't like being kept waiting."
Nyeto gulped "Apologies All For One. I just wanted to make sure we wouldn't be interrupted or have eavesdroppers."
"If that is the case then I'd appreciate if you didn't say my name. Even though I do poses a form of a hacking quirk in my arsenal" replied All For One before continuing "Now... I believe you have information that'll help Tomura and Zoyas in negotiations with the covenant."
"Yes master. Let me tell you about the Spartan II program."

Charybdis IX
An explosion rung out in bright blue rattling across thebuilding that Himiko and Ochako hid in for cover.
"Jesus fucking Christ!" Grunted Himiko as she pressed her back against a brick wall as Ochako checked her rifle before shouldering it.
"Recon Delta! Have you got that intel yet?" Called in the platoon leader.
"Negative still working on it!" She replied through gritted teeth. Ochako fired her rifle taking out a grunt running for cover.
"No Elites found yet." Replied the brunette.
"Guess we'll just use the little bastards and improvise from there." Said Himiko as she checked the area ahead of her. She patted Ochakos shoulder signalling her to move forward to the next cover then quickly followed.
The two girls had become close friends during boot camp. Although the relationship did start out rocky with Himiko's lack of understanding for personal space but Ochako quickly learned that was just part of the blonde girl's personality.
During there training Himiko learned more about Ochako's past as Hero in training and her quirk. While Ochako learned about Himiko's quirk and the unfortunate circumstances of her quirk causing her to become a blood addict like a vampire.
This had lead Himiko to have a violent childhood but tried everything she could to control herself which is why she became a blood donation nurse. It gave her the ability to do some good for others while behind closed doors with no one watching she could drink some amounts of human blood to ease her addiction enough prevent her from stabbing the closest person.
As their drill sergeant became aware of both their quirks they were automatically selected for recon missions. Himiko could use her ability to hide amongst the enemy while Ochako could use hers to stealthy move around without a sound but could also assist those trapped in rubble.
There was only one flaw with this plan however. Himiko had not yet tasted Covenant blood of any species. So it was a question of if her quirk works on covenant troops or just humans.
Ochako leaned around for a peak and noticed two grunts cautiously walking towards their position with plasma pistols ready. Ochako gave her partner a serious of hand signals to explain the situation. With a nod from Himiko the two quirked female Marines unsheathed their combat knives and prepared for the ambush.
Ochako knew Himiko was fast so she held off from attacking the first grunt and waited for the second to pass before grabbing it into a head lock and thrusting the knife down onto its head before it got a chance to squeal for help.
The other grunt however heard the struggle and turned to see what the commotion was. Only for Himiko to tackle it and slice its throat letting its blood flow freely.
Himiko looked at the creatures blue blood and gulped nervously as she turned to her friend. "You mind not watching while I do this?"
Ochako let out an eep before turning her back to Himiko and scanned the area around for anymore threats. The blood drinker let out a sigh before cupping some of the dead aliens blood in her hand then brung it to her mouth.
"Urrrkk!!" She cringed after she swallowed causing Ochako to look back to her.
"Are you alright?"
"It tastes like bubblegum mixed with rotten cabbage!" She complained as her body began to morph into a new form with white sludge covering her figure.
The sludge fell off and revealed Himiko looking exactly the same as the Grunt she just killed. She looked over herself and examined her hands "why couldn't I be something cuter." She sighed in the grunts voice.
"You are cute... in a weird creepy methane breathing alien kind of way." Replied Ochako trying to sound optimistic.
"Ugh whatever. Let's just find the big guys and get out of here." Said Himiko as she picked up a plasma pistol and began to stroll off in the direction the grunts came from.

Sarah curled up with her knees to her chest with closed eyes as she hid in a burnt out car waiting for her parents to find her or some other kind of help.
Her family had come to Charybdis IX to visit her father's relatives. Despite her mother's concerns that the covenant might appear during their visit. Her father had brushed her mother's worries aside saying the chance of being caught in an invasion were unlikely.
But he was wrong.
During the first assualt from the aliens aircraft Sarah had lost her parents during the commotion of panic and fear filled civilians. She originally hid behind a large dumpster before moving to the burnt out car with her child mind deciding that the creatures wouldn't think to look in an already destroyed vehicle.
The sudden chitters and sounds of grunts caused her to curl up even more as tears ran down her cheeks whilst she prayed for help.
An Elite walking along with two jackals and a grunt pair stopped when he heard footsteps down a nearby alleyway. He tightened the grip on his plasma rifle until he saw an Unggoy trot out awkwardly into the opening.
"H-Hi" said the Unggoy that he did not recognise as anyone under his command. The Sangheili glared at the methane breather with suspicion.
"Where are the rest of your battle group?" He enquired.
The Unggoy gulped "I got lost and haven't been able to find them sir."
The Sangheili noted the Unggoys nervousness. But that wasn't anything unusual since the creatures did fear his kind and were basically canon fodder. "I see. Then you may join us"
"Thank you sir. W-what is your mission?" Asked the Unggoy curiousily.
The kig-yar shared a look with one another as the Sangheili growled lowly. "The objective for all ground troops is to search for sacred relics before we cleanse the planet of the humans."
The Unggoy nodded in understanding "oh of course I remember now."
The Sangheili shook its head in annoyance at the the Unggoys stupidity. Even if it's the lowest class of the covenant species it should've at least known the tasks given to them by the Prophets before landing on the planet.
The covenant group began to move off with Grunt Himiko trailing along behind them. That was until a loud creaking sound came from a nearby burnt out vehicle grabbing the Sangheili's attention.
He glanced over towards it over his shoulder before holstering his plasma rifle and activated his energy sword. Himiko flinched and stared at the blade as he strode his way to the car and with one swipe he cut it open.
The Sangheili was surprised to see a tiny human huddled with in. He stared down at it watching the little girl whimper preparing for the worst. The elite felt it was dishonourable to kill human younglings. They were to young to understand that their existence was a sin. But to argue the will of the prophets was heresy. So he drew back his sword read to thrust it into the little girls chest to give her a painless quick death.
Suddenly the car became covered in a pink glow causing the Sangheili to step back in surprise as he watched it rise slowly in confusion. This was then followed by the sound of a gun becoming cocked and he quickly looked down to see a Marine aiming a shotgun at him.
"Surprise." BANG
The shotgun quickly brought down his energy shield and made him stumble back. He roared loudly in anger but suddenly felt a blade sink in between his neck and shoulder as the Unggoy that had joined his group jumped onto his back and stabbed him endlessly.
He roared in pain as he fell into his knees and collapsed as the Unggoy continued to mercilessly stab him. The human that had attacked him with its primitive style weapon turned its sights on to the Kig-Yar and the other Two Unggoy. The confusion of the attack left them distracted enough for the shotgun user to make quick work of em.
When the last shell fell to the ground Ochako turned around to her disguised friend "I think you need work on your dialogue next time."
Himiko huffed crossing her grunt arms "I'd like to see you try better!"
Ochako approached the floating car that stood a few feet in the air and brought it down to a few inches from the ground before putting her hands together and letting out a breath "Release"
The car drop with a small thud and just As Himiko began shifting back to her regular look Ochako glanced inside to see the frightened girl with in.
Ochako put on her warmest smile as she removed her helmet "It's okay. The monsters are gone." She spoke softly as she reached out a hand to the girl.
The girl blinked looking between Ochako and her hand and shyly took it. The Ex Hero student helped the girl out of the car and knelt down so they were both eye level. "My names Ochako. What's yours?"
"Sarah... Sarah Palmer" replied the other girl shyly.
Whilst Ochako was taking care of the girl. Himiko got on the radio. "This is Recon Delta calling in command over."
"Copy Recon Delta. What's your status?"
"We got that intel you wanted. We also recovered a civilian."
"Good work Delta. Report back with that Intel ASAP."
"Copy that Command. Moving out." Himiko turned to Ochako as she finished putting on her gear and helmet "Time to move"
Ochako nodded and turned to Sarah "We'll take you some place safe and hopefully we can find your parents. Okay?"
Sarah nodded "O-okay"
Ochako smiled as she put her helmet back on and held Sarah's hand then began following Himiko back to command. Unaware of an elite holding a Needler hiding around a corner activate his camouflage and began to follow the three humans.

Ochako couldn't help the feeling they were being followed. Infact it made her paranoid enough that Himiko noticed it aswell. But rather then question it Himiko just stayed on alert and ready for anything.
The two Marines tried talking with Sarah in hopes to distract her and keep their minds occupied and eventually learned that Sarah was actually from Luna and was only on this planet visiting relatives.
Suddenly Ochako saw the incoming bright flare of a plasma grenade and picked up Sarah and divided behind cover "Hit The Deck!!"
Himiko reacted to Ochakos words and felt the heat of the plasma explosion as she jumped behind a pillar. Both girls jumped up with firearms ready and quickly began opening fire at the incoming attack of Jackals and grunts.
Ochako emptied her shotgun and threw a frag to allow her time to switch to a sub machine gun. Himiko fired at the exposed areas of the Jackals shields with her battle rifle then shot for their center of mass when it became exposed downing the creatures.
Ochako swore as she ducked back down behind cover to reload and quickly glanced to Sarah to make sure she was injured.
At that moment an Elite revealed itself standing over the brunette causing the girl to freeze and go wide eyed at the beast infront of her. Then she noticed the needler aimed right at her and didn't have time to react as the first shard penetrated her chest.
The sound of the discharge from the alien weapon grabbed Himiko's attention and she turned just in time to see the second shard enter Ochakos chest. Then a third.
Sarah screamed and turned away as the fourth and fifth followed the same target area and finally as the light began to leave Ochakos eyes her gun dropped from her hand onto the ground.
Himiko's bottom lip began to shake as she struggled to process what she witnessed. She called out in fear "OCHAKO!!!!"
That's when the needler shards ignited and blew open Ochakos just in an explosion for pink alien mist and human blood. Her body jerked back against the she used cover and slumped down motionless.
Himiko's shocked expression shifted into a devilish snarl full of hatred. The Elite barely had time to react to the enraged human as she tackled him to the ground and continued to bash his head in with the butt of her rifle. Deciding that wasn't enough punishment she drew out both her knives and began hacking away at the alien covering herself and the area around her in its blood.
The horrified squeals and squawks of the jackals and grunts that witness her attack of anger alerted her to their presence. She glared at them all with a feral look before lunging at them to show them the same treatment they just witnessed.
She saw nothing but red as the loss of someone who she considered a true friend fueled her lust for revenge. It wasn't until the final decapation of a jackal that she finally calmed down and became aware of what she was doing.
Rather then feel shocked or disgusted with what she did. She decided that the covenant got off to easy and collapsed on her knees beside Ochakos body and pulled it in for a hug and let her tears flow.
She cried and cried not caring about anything else in that moment except for the pain that filled her heart.
(A/N: I see some people are questioning the intelligence of Shigaraki and AFO with trying to deal with covenant.
The fact is that they are villian/Insurrectionists. And in the halo universe Insurrectionist have at times attempted to negotiate with the covenant but have back fired due to certain situations. However with the element of quirks added to the mix. Who knows what the covenant may think about the LOV.
I expect to get some hate for how I finished this chapter which is understandable. But all I can say is to trust me with how I proceed with the story.
Anyways. PLUS ULTRA!!)
