Hatsume's face slammed on the table, pouting as she held up more homework, a suspiciously taller pile than Izuku's own. "Whyyyyy…"
"If I had to guess, it's because you were caught again working on something under your desk instead of following the lesson." Izuku replied.
"But it was just a gas mask! This guy online was showing off his design, and when I said it looked too bulky he started arguing. I wanted to show him what a good gas mask look like."
"You should have worked on it outside of class."
"But the baby has precedence over history class!"
"Clearly not for the History professor." Izuku said, holding back a laugh at Hatsume's betrayed expression, "Come on, it's not so bad. It should include at least some history of warfare."
Hatsume mumbled something and then sighed, starting to work.
Izuku checked the phone. Hado was hard at work, and he was feeling a bit shitty about leaving her on her own, but there wasn't much he could do. The downside of having teenagers as Agents was that sometimes they had exams to study for, and with just a few weeks left for the First Term Finals, Izuku was feeling the pressure.
Rationally, he knew he probably had a safety net. Since his scholarship at the Ondereno Institute was to allow him to train and join the HASC while working on the field, they were probably going to guarantee leniency with the exam results.
But there was no guarantee of that, and even if there was… Well, Izuku was always a good student, and if he managed to get through the Ondereno Institute, he had already been told that entering a good University was definitely an option.
"You are luckyyyyy…" Hatsume grumbled, "Even if you fail this whole thing, you can just do your job…"
"Actually, the HASC pushes the younger agents toward a university education." Izuku answered, not surprised Hatsume had guessed where his thoughts had gone, "We get… some lenience in our attendance record, but we have to do the same exams and get good results on our own."
"Really?" The girl tilted her head to the side, "But why? Like, sure, I have to go to university to get a degree in engineering, mechanics or something, because 'I can't just work on natural talent' and 'Your understanding of the specifics of each machine has to be flawless' and 'Hatsume put down the blow torch and listen to me'."
"What?"
"That's usually how that discussion went with my dad." She sighed, and seemed to be thinking of something else, before returning to her homework.
Izuku hummed. He could tell Hatsume missed her home, and was feeling lonely, in some way. Maybe lonely wasn't the right word. It was more a lack of purpose. Making her 'babies' was important to her, and so was working in the family business, but here she was doing neither, and she didn't seem to be making any friends. Maybe that was why she had latched on Izuku. It had been two weeks since she had been sent to their school, and now that June was giving way to July, and they had to focus hard on their final exams before summer vacation, she always tried to study with him. She had even stopped calling him Orgue Guy.
… Eventually.
Hado sometimes came around to try and help them, but she was busy with her own finals, and whenever she wasn't doing that, she was at work, looking for a new mission. Izuku hated to admit it, but he hoped she wouldn't find one until the end of the exams, and frankly, Hado seemed to only be skimming around the usual chats and forums she kept under observation too, rather than doing her usual deep dives. While the rational part of his brain told him he was ready for the exam, the less rational part kept repeating that not going to class put him at a big disadvantage compared to his peers.
He sighed. 'You'd think a government agent would know how to handle a middle school finals' pressure…' He thought, getting back to work.
No time to rest, after all.
-x-
"Alright, time to rest." Hado said, leaning back on her chair and sighing.
"Are you sure?" Izuku asked.
"Eh, it's another big nothing." Hado sighed, "And I have to study for the Finals." She grumbled, "Why do you human even do this to yourself?"
"Faedians don't take school exams?" Izuku asked.
"No, our schools are merit based. You go through ten years of basic education, with no exams but having to follow every class, then take whatever specialization you feel speaks to you. Science? You go for it. Sports? That way. Literature? Enjoy. After that you are expected to study your subject by following the lessons other people that chose that path before you give, and from there, once you graduate, to find a job for yourself with what you learned in your formative years."
"… So, you go to university."
"Still without exams!" She said, "How do you cope with this stuff?! There are letters in my math?! Whoever decided that calculus needs letters is a demon! If I was back home, I would be studying Alien history right now!"
Izuku chuckled. He liked math, but he figured he shouldn't bring it up to Hado right now. "Any news for the weapons?" Izuku asked instead.
Hado huffed, "According to mister Mera, nothing. They vanished from the face of the Earth, apparently."
"One can only hope." Izuku said, and Hado nodded.
"Half of me really wants a new mission, but there is no way All Might would bring another one." She turned expectantly to the door the second she finished that sentence, but the door stayed stubbornly locked, and Hado scowled. Izuku couldn't hold back a laugh, resulting in Hado pouting even harder. "You never know, it might work eventually!"
"I'm sure." Izuku shook his head, returning his attention to his pc. Browsing online chatrooms for alien chatter was like searching for a needle in a haystack. And the needle was made of bone, so even the metal detector trick didn't work. He didn't envy Hado for having to do the same thing, especially since her exams were probably harder than his. He tilted his neck until he felt a satisfying crack. "So, should we train? Blow off some steam?"
"Sounds nice." Hado replied, standing up, "Come on, some time in the gym is never wasted." She paused at the door, "Oh, right, by the way, after the exams, want to come to a party?"
"A… party?"
"Yup. Nothing weird, me and a couple other teenage Agents are going to meet up and celebrate the beginning of summer vacation, and I figured you'd want to come- Why are you crying?!"
Izuku held back the tears. "N-No one ever invited me to a p-party since I was four… Sorry…"
"They didn't?! Why?! Who didn't?! Why didn't you friend say anything?! Did you have friend?! I mean, you are nice, you had to have friend, right?!"
Izuku couldn't hold back the tears of joy.
-x-
"… And that's why I'm happy about the HASC drainage system." Izuku explained, Hatsume nodding.
"I see. And how did the training go?" She asked, at which point Izuku winced, "Not good, uh?"
"I still can't get a proper hit in." Izuku replied.
"Have you considered changing weapon? You should have a ton of babies available after all."
"Well of course." Izuku looked at the Orgue, and saw Hatsume's eyes fixed on it as she looked fondly at the bracelet. "It's just… I don't really know much about weapons. I could use a gun, I suppose, but for that Hado says I have to find someone else to train me."
"She can't?"
"I don't know. She just says she doesn't use guns, which is fair given her powers, but I have the impression there's more to it." He frowned, "If only I could find out more about Faedians…"
"Can't help you there. I never had a Faedian client. Uuuuh, do you think she has some special baby she needs?"
"I don't know. Hado is a good friend, but she doesn't really share much about what being a Faedian is like. All I know is that she can float, fire energy beams, and has this 'voice' thing where she gives people orders and they seem to struggle to not follow them." He sighed, "She is amazing, and I'm… me."
"Come on Midoirya, you have the Orgue, that's amazing already. You can use that baby, right? It proves you got a lot of training in."
"And without the Orgue?" He sighed, "I can't just depend on one weapon."
"Then get more babies. That's how I solve every problem. Can't you ask someone else to train you if Hado can't?"
Izuku blinked. Uh, he hadn't really… considered that. He had been told Hado was his instructor, so he just assumed that she was the one in charge of teaching him everything.
But no one had ever said Izuku couldn't ask other Agents for training.
-x-
"And you decided to ask him." Kashi Kokashi, the shapeshifting alien, asked flatly, staring at Izuku from behind his desk. Izuku still had a hard time not seeing Kashiko Kashi, the serial killer, but he knew rationally that the man in front of him could have looked completely different, if he so wished.
"Uhm, well, I wanted to ask mister Shiga, but he is…"
"On a mission." Soga Kugisaki said, humming, "Yeah, I heard about it. Something big apparently, the old man doesn't get sent out for any small time criminal. Still, good to know I'm the second choice."
"I-I-I didn't mean- It's just-"
"Relax kid, I'm fine with that, I get it. The old man is Quirkless, he probably had better suggestions. But what can I teach you that your partner can't?"
"Gun use?" Izuku asked, and both men now stared at him, "I-I mean, I have the Orgue, but I can't rely only on hand to hand combat, right?"
"Sorry, it's just… Frankly I didn't pit you for the kind of guy whose solution for a problem would be 'shoot it'. I figured someone would offer once you were a full agent, but I didn't expect you to come and ask first."
"I just need it for support."
"Hey, no judging. I use a shotgun, a sniper rifle, a pistol and a laser gun." He grinned, "I think I might have more to teach you than you'd expect."
Izuku gulped. Then, slowly he nodded.
-x-
"Alright, let's get you started with this." Kugisaki said. Izuku stared at the small, weird gun in his hand. It wasn't even the size of his hand, and it looked somewhat like a fusion between a gun and a syringe, ending with a thin tube rather than a needle.
"What's this?"
"Noisy Cricket." Izuku had the distinct impression he had heard the name somewhere before. Well, it was probably just an impression. He looked at the target on the opposite side of the room, and aimed, but Soga stopped him immediately. "Both hands on the gun."
"I'm not sure it's big enough." Izuku replied, and Kugisaki rolled his eyes, but showed him how to hold the weapon.
"Alright, shoot." He said when he was confident.
Izuku shot.
And next thing he know he had slammed against the back wall. His arms hurt quite a lot, though he was sure at least that they weren't broken. Well, mostly sure.
"What the- What was that?!"
"The Noisy Cricket." Kugisaki pointed at the target. Or well, where the target used to be. In its place was the burnt bottom half, the upper half completely gone, and a large burn mark now darkening the wall behind it. "Lesson number one of alien tech: it's not the size but how much it fucks you up." Kugisaki explained, "This is high ordinance."
"But why did you make me use that for starters?"
"Because the first lesson of gun safety is remembering how dangerous they are, and the first lesson of Alien guns is remembering how much more dangerous they are." He pulled up the cricket and pushed it back in the small holster on his side, "I think the point came across now."
"Did you have to break my arms for that?"
Kugisaki leaned in to check both arms, then shrugged, "They aren't broken." He finally declared, "Now, let's get you started on the way of the gunslinger."
And with that, Izuku's training gained a new facet.
-x-
Exam day came and went without a hitch, really. Izuku and Hatsume passed their tests. Heck, Izuku came second in his whole year. Only a girl from one of the other classes got a better result apparently. A small part of Izuku was a bit irked by the fact he had always thought only Kacchan could beat him when it came to exams, but he pushed that aside. As he looked at the results on the board, he couldn't help but feel proud of the result. Second place at the Ondereno Institute meant a lot.
"How did it go?" He asked Hatsume, who in response shrugged.
"Perfect in everything I wanted to seriously pass, fine in everything else." She replied, and when Izuku glanced at her scores he realized what she meant. While math, physics, chemistry and other subjects she liked had been awarded with full marks, the rest was average at best. He supposed it just proved how much focus Hatsume was placing on her future. Izuku envied her a bit. He had lost his dream of being a Hero, and while working for the HASC was a great opportunity, it still didn't feel like it was a replacement.
Then again, it beat having no hopes for his future. Sure, becoming a doctor or a police officer would have been great, saved lives and helped everyone as well, but the HASC felt like a lot more… important in some way. A lot more like they could make a difference from the start.
He stopped again, Hatsume in tow, as he checked the results for the second year of High School.
He had to look all the way up, to see Hado straight at the top. "Oh wow." He muttered, just as Hado walked forward with a few people in tow.
"Hey there!" Hado said, grabbing him, "So, what do you think, that went well, uh?"
"Yeah, that did. Uhm…" He glanced at the other four people. "Are they?"
"The other Ondereno Agents." Hado nodded, "At least, the ones I know."
"You are the newbie, right?" A girl with short black hair asked, "Our currently youngest Agent." She added.
"As far as we know." Hado added, and the girl nodded, "Right, right. Well, nice to meet you. Nice to see you too Hado."
"See you tonight." Hado replied with a smile, and the other girl gave her a thumb up, before walking off with a guy that sent Izuku a polite but stern nod before walking off.
"Yup, it's very nice to meet you both." The short girl with brown hair said, walking forward and shaking Izuku's hand with little strength, "I hear you even got paired together, is that true?"
"W-Well yes."
"Kinoko Komori, nice to meet you. And thanks for taking my place as the newbie of the HASC." She yawned and nodded toward Hado, "You know, she talks very mush about you…" She added with some mirth, and Izuku felt his face go red again.
"Komori!"
The girl winked and went back. The other girl with black hair gave them both a quick nod and walked off."
Hatsume tilted her head, "Uh, so they were all Agents?" She asked. Izuku wondered if they hadn't noticed the pink-haired girl, or if they all knew who she was. He supposed the latter was plausible, considering how much Hatsume looked like her father, and the fact that, from what he heard from Agoyamato she wasn't exactly staying quiet. Apparently, almost everyone in their year knew about her.
Hado chuckled, "Yep. The youngest recruits, though not the newest. Kinoko Komori, Yui Kodai, Seiji Shishikura and Yuyu Haya."
Izuku looked at the group that was scattering, going in different directions. "You know, I had wondered if there were more like us."
Hado nodded, "There are those four, and I'm sure there are others, but the HASC never encourages us to find out about each other."
"Why?"
Hado shrugged helplessly, "Probably some 'don't let the dumb teens risk spreading their secret too much' thing."
"How did they join the HASC though?" Izuku wondered.
"Kodai and Komori are Aliens. Not sure about Haya and Shishikura, but I guess you can ask tonight." Hado patted him on the back, "I'd say we are celebrating the beginning of summer vacation, but we don't really get that much vacation. The downsides of our work and all that."
Izuku nodded. For all he liked the HASC, they weren't exactly big on long breaks.
-x-
"A summer cram school?" His mom asked, and Izuku could hear the hint of disappointment in her voice, a disappointment he fully shared. He visited his mom on alternate Sundays, of course, but she had probably hoped that with summer coming around, she would get to spend some time with Izuku. And now he had to squash that hope.
"Y-Yeah, I got second place in the exams in my year, and they want me to stay to take part in this. It's apparently only for their best, private tutoring with the professors and it basically guarantees entrance in their high school if we pass and then keep up our studies, so…"
"Oh dear, you don't have to justify it. Of course studying is more important. Just make sure to come visit when there is the chance."
"Of course mom!" Izuku replied. They spoke for a while longer, Inko telling him anything interesting happening back home – Kacchan apparently had aced the tests in Aldera's exams again, of course – while he shared what he could about his school life.
"I'm happy to hear you are making friends." His mom said when he talked about his study sessions with Hado and Hatsume, "And I'm particularly happy they are girls…"
"M-Mom!"
"Oh, come now Izuku, I'm just teasing my son a bit. Although, if you did find yourself a girlfriend…" She chuckled hearing him stammer, "Maybe not now, I suppose. Friends will be enough." Izuku was sure she was smiling at the other end of the line, "I have to say Izuku, you have grown a lot in those three months. You have been stuttering less, and you smile a lot more when we meet up. You should invite over those friends of yours. They deserve to try my cooking."
"Uh… You think? I don't feel that much different." Izuku replied. After all, he still couldn't even force Hado to counter his attacks, and he wasn't good with his new weapons or with the Orgue. He needed a lot more training before he could call himself a proper HASC Agent, and until then…
"Trust me Izuku, I can tell. I don't know if Musutafu was holding you back or if you found better friends, but moving to Tokyo has been the best choice you have made."
"Thanks mom. I… I do like it here, a lot more than I did Aldera."
"Good. But yes, you have my permission for the Summer School, tell me if there is anything to sign. Oh, I should go, sorry for keeping you. I have a dinner with Mitsuki and Masaru tonight, I should get going too."
"Alright mom, have fun. Say hi to Kacchan and the Bakugos for me."
"Of course dear. Goodbye."
"Bye mom." Izuku replied, closing the call. He smiled, then started to get his clothes ready. He had to go too.
-x-
"So, you are Quirkless, uh?" Yuyu Haya asked, leaning over the table to look closely at Izuku.
"I… Yes. Is that a problem?" Izuku asked, not sure of what to say. The dinner had gone well so far, even if he wasn't the best conversationalist. He was seated between Hado and the black haired Yui Kodai, who apparently was even more of a poor company than he was, since she had said exactly three sentences since they had sat down, and one of them was 'Hello everyone'. For the remainder of the dinner, she had only hummed, nodded, snorted or shaken her head. Izuku had even outright forgot she was seating next to him at one point.
"Of course not. I'm just curious. The Director was looking desperately for new Quirkless recruits for a while, so I figured there weren't any more in Japan."
"Yeah, we are apparently a lot rarer in Japan than anywhere else in the world. Not sure why."
"It's the amount of Aliens." Shishikura interjected, "Japan's Alien population pro-capita is the highest in the world, several times higher than the US, China, Russia or the EU, and as a result, there are also more Half-Aliens. Since Alien genes are always dominant, Quirkless people just disappeared a lot faster than anywhere else in the world."
"… Oh." It made sense, Izuku supposed. The Quirk gene was dominant, and adding in Alien genes… Yeah, it made sense there were less Quirkless Japanese, "I didn't know that, thank you."
"Don't mention it, Midoriya." The teen replied.
"Either way, my point was that you are a pretty rare person Midoriya, and that's…" She paused, turning to Komori, "You know Komori, we usually eat our food without growing mold on it." She said.
Izuku turned to see Komori was indeed munching on a piece of bread covered in fungis. Not just mold, but there was definitely some in the bunch of various mushrooms covering the bread.
"But Earth food tastes terrible without some spicing up. I like my food nice and shroomy, thank you very mush." The girl said, biting into the bread again.
"I just think the portions are a bit small." Kodai argued, and looking at her plate Izuku realized she seemed to have eaten only a third of her steak, but between her chopstick was a portion the size of the whole steak.
"I swear, taking Aliens out for dinner is such a mess…" Haya muttered, glancing at Hado.
"What? I eat perfectly normally."
"Nejire, you drank fifteen energy drinks since we sat down."
"I need a lot of energy!" She defended, before downing another can. Izuku had noticed some odd looks from the owners actually, but he figured it was more because Komori and Kodai were clearly using their quirks in public. Kodai in particular was getting some nasty looks.
"So you aren't Aliens?" Izuku asked.
"No." Shishikura shook his head.
"Nope, never been to space." Haya nodded.
"Neither did I." Kodai argued. Uh, she was getting more talkative, even if her expression was still just as plain as before. "That doesn't mean I'm not an Alien."
"Tha's not…" Haya sighed, "No, I'm a Quirked Human, and so is Shishikura."
"Then how did you join the HASC?" Izuku asked, curious. He got introduced by All Might, but that had been because he was Quirkless. He doubted All Might just went around inviting teenagers to join a super-secret organization.
… Well he really hoped All Might didn't.
"It's a secret." Haya said, "Sorry, but I can't tell."
"It's alright. And you Shishikura?"
"My father is a warden in Tartarus' Block A, the one for Alien life forms. When it came time to choose my high school, he asked me if I wanted to become a Hero to achieve my own dreams or to follow in his footsteps as much as possible. My answer was the latter, so he offered an alternative. To be a Tartarus Warden, you need a Hero license, but to become a Block A Warden, one has to be a member of the HASC. It wasn't a difficult choice to make, and here I am." Shishikura explained the whole thing with a proud smile on his face, "I am proud of joining this excellent group, and the fact we get prime schooling at Ondereno only proves they wish to foster the best of the best. Truly fitting of my father's colleagues."
"I see. That's great. I guess your father is your idol then."
"Idols are more of Komori's thing, but he is indeed my inspiration and support." Shishikura replied, and Izuku nodded. "What about you?"
"Oh, uhm, All Might – and Toshinori Yagi, his assistant – introduced me."
Everyone went silent, except Hado, since she knew.
Then the questions came in all at once.
"All Might introduced you?!"
"How did you do it?"
"How did you achieve such a feat, Midoriya?!"
"Do you plan to eat that piece of bread Midoriya? It looks like it could grow some excellent shrooms." Everyone looked at Komori, "What? He left it there the whole dinner, I wanted some more so I asked."
He handed over the piece of bread – receiving a 'mush obliged' in return – while trying to not blush. "Uhm, err, I guess I just… Lucked out." He was hesitant to share the full story – in hindsight it was a bit embarrassing to admit he had grappled the Number One Hero's leg to get an answer, and what he had gotten was no. "Uhm, I happened to speak with mister Yagi, All Might's Assistant. When he found out I was Quirkless but still wanted to be… to help people, he contacted All Might, and they agreed I'd fit in the HASC."
"That's right, my partner has All Might's seal of approval." Hado said with a thumb up.
Haya sighed. "Well, that's a nice story. Still not telling mine though."
"Unfair…" Komori mumbled.
Izuku chuckled, "So, are you all partners?"
"Mh? No, Haya here is the only Agent, and he just got promoted, so right now she does not have a partner yet."
"My old partner was a great person and taught me a lot, but he is an instructor, so he couldn't keep our team up." Haya said, waving the comment away.
"Instructor?"
"Some of the more experienced HASC Agents keep their partner position open so they can get newbies assigned. All of us here are paired with an instructor."
"But then why…"
"Because you were recruited late." Hado explained, "You needed a partner, and the Instructors were already busy, so they assigned me."
"Oh." Izuku nodded, "Uhm, do you plan to be an instructor then?"
"Nope. Do your work properly, and we can stay paired." Hado replied with a wink. Izuku smiled. Well, that was good to hear.
-x-
July went by without much change and switched place with August. Izuku's training with Kugisaki and spar with Hado was accompanied by studying with Hatsume, who was taking part in the Summer Cram School – the actual Ondereno program, not the cover-up for Izuku's job – and therefore was more than happy to talk with Izuku whenever she could… while asking for help in her weaker subject. He didn't really mind, keeping up his studies was important after all.
But summer also meant he had more time to do his actual job helping Hado scour the internet for a new mission.
"Uh, I have something, UFO spotted over Aomori's sky-"
"Illegal planetary entry, already taken care of by agents on the field. If anyone asks, it was a meteor." Hado replied, with a sigh.
Izuku nodded, returning to his hunt. Most of them, like Hado said, were nothing but made up stories. It took longer to him to figure it out than it did Hado, but then again, Hado was a lot more experienced. He changed his search, moving from 'alien' to 'paranormal', slowly going down, before his attention was caught by a site link.
'Paranormal Investigation Front…' He tilted his head. For some reason, the name sounded familiar. Then again, it was rather generic. The thread talking about it was asking if anyone had experience with the group, since they were rather secretive, but it had been mostly ignored, the few answers just calling them 'a bunch of weirdos that like sharing creepypasta and weird stories' and just saying it was nothing interesting.
'Exactly the place for Alien news then.' Izuku thought, opening the link.
It turned out it was a closed site. He had to write in his mail, to get an invitation for the site. He did just that, and once he got confirmation he would get an invite he moved on with his search.
Then a mail came in. He opened it, read, and looked up at Hado, who likely got the same mail.
"Alien symbiotic pathogen identified." The first sentence read.
Well that didn't sound ominous.
(XX)
A calmer chapter than usual, but this one introduces a ton of important stuff, both evident and not so evident.
More importantly, more teen agents! Truly, the HASC needs better hiring practices. I wonder who guessed who the member of the group were and which were the Aliens.
Also, Izuku now has 'Stoic Uraraka' and 'Angry Iida' in his group. Truly he can't live without those two in his life in some way.
Speaking of living, poor Mei, there are some difficulties in adapting to pure school life when you have been running a mechanic shop for a few years now. But she is a smart girl, she will manage.
Also, more girls. I don't know why they get the spotlight in this story but I hope no one minds. The MHA secondary girls need some love.
Block A was already mentioned earlier in the story, but Shishikura's dad working in Tartarus is actually canon! According to Horikoshi's A/N, Shishikura chose to study at Shiketsu specifically because their uniform includes a hat that looks like a Tartarus warden's. Truly, this man is a big fan of his dad.
And that will be it for this week.
Well except for the report below, covering Izuku's second mission. Give it a read, the notes can give some interesting insight sometimes.

HASC REPORT N. 198623 – "OCTOVIAN ARMORY"
INVOLVED AGENTS: Izuku Midoriya (14, b. 07/15/2XXX, Earthling), Nejire Hado (16, b. 10/06/2XXX, Faedian)
INVOLVED CIVILIANS: Douraku Umijima (50, b. 06/06/2XXX, Macrocheirian), Mei Hatsume (14, 04/18/2XXX, Quirked Earthling)
PERPETRATOR: Jun 'Devilfish' Takohiro (29, b. 08/30/2XXX, Octovian)
CRIME CLASS: Red
REPORT: A collection of Alien Weapons was identified on the security videos of an attack perpetrated against a facility hosting labs for the development of civilian Support Item, owned by the Support Company Detnerat. The perpetrators were identified as member of the group known as 'Ushimitsudoki Alliance'*. An investigation was started in the leaders of the Alliance to find the most likely perps.
Douraku Umijima, known as 'Dholak' in his Villain persona, was interviewed first. After purchasing information**, Agent Hado and Agent Midoriya confirmed the real culprit to be Jun Takohiro, better known as 'Devilfish' to the wider public.
Mister Takohiro was confronted first in the pub 'All for Drinks', located in Kamino Ward, Yokohama. The suspect engaged in hostile activity first, starting a bar brawl that resulted in several injuries and property damage***. In his escape, however, he released his Octovian Suit****. The rarity of the Octovian Suits made it unlikely one could be found on the black market, thus investigation in the legal channels used to obtain it was deemed the most promising path to locate the suspect. Additionally, a further telephonic interview with mister Umijima confirmed the location of a usual hiding spot of the perpetrator.
An interview with Mei Hatsume, Mister Takohiro's regular mechanic, allowed the Agents to collect further information, confirming the suspects intention to go through the legal channels to acquire the Octovian Suit shortly after*****. Further investigation through the use of several devices****** allowed to identify the suspect. The following confrontation turned violent once more, and Agent Hado was forced to knock out the suspect.
After his arrest, mister Takohiro held on for seven days, before he finally revealed the location of the weapons. However, once the Agents reached the location, the weapons were missing, likely pilfered by a third party. It was decided, following those events, that the case would be reassigned.*******
*Also known as Zoo Villains. See Appendix A for more information on the various members history with Alien life forms.
**All expenses will be covered by the HASC. However, we remind Agent Hado and Agent Midoriya that concluding such deals should be left as a last ditch effort, not a primary strategy – Director Mera
***The injuries were mostly suffered by the suspect's allies. It was decided to not award refunds for the injuries they sustained. Full refunding was offered to the owner of the pub, mister Kurogiri, who accepted the money.
**** See Appendix B for detailed schematics.
*****After the facts, miss Hatsume was harshly reprimanded for producing unauthorized Alien devices. Mister Hatsume, her father, declined pursuit of legal action, so the matter was not pursued further, though mister Hatsume was required to do a thorough check of his security, and only allowed to resume operation once the servers were confirmed safe.
******For a complete list, See Appendix C.
*******Case reassigned to Agent Shiro Mukoshi and Agent Atsushi Shirada.
