Meanwhile in another part of the festival area, Gloria is still getting chased by Brute, Smirk and Popstar ever since separating herself from Rufus the Tinkerer. Normally, Gloria would have fought back using her own Pokemons but she left them all back in the Pokemon Center for some treatment and was about to take them back once she's done with the festival but this happened, so she is basically defenseless at the moment.
"Get back here you bitch!" Smirk demanded.
"Smirk! She's just a kid!" Brute chastised.
"What do you want me call her?" Smirk questioned, "Slut or whore?" she suggested.
"That's even worse!" Popstar exclaimed in disbelief.
Gloria then ran to a corner and found herself in a dead end between two stalls and a wall, "Oh no..." the Pokemon Trainer uttered in dread.
Then Brute, Smirk and Popstar arrives at the corner where they saw a terrified Gloria leaning against a wall, breathing rather heavily with sweat slowly pouring down her face, the trio of crooks smiled at the girl rather wickedly.
"Nowhere to go, huh?" Brute mused.
"We got you now!" Popstar cheered.
Smirk then brought out a PokeBall in hand, "This is what ya get for messing with us." she declared with her comrades bringing out their own PokeBalls as well.
Gloria let's out a small meep as the trio of grunts advances towards her but before they could call out any of their Pokemons, they were interrupted by a shout.
"I LOVE YOU!"
Suddenly, a small object is tossed between Gloria and the grunts, the object then exploded to pieces which then unleashes a large green-colored smoke, everyone's visions then turned blurry and their eyes began to hurt because of the smoke, they even began cough as well due to the smoke nearly choking them.
"What the?!" Brute squawked, "Where the hell these smoke came from?!" he questioned.
"I don't know!" Popstar replied, "It just came out of nowhere!" she exclaimed.
"I CAN BREATHE!" Smirk wheezed.
The grunts waves their hands while coughing like crazy at the same time but unbeknownst to them, a mysterious figure jumps down from one of the stalls, grabbing Gloria's hand before dragging her away from the smoke-infested area and when the smoke finally subsided and the coughing seized, the grunts noticed that Gloria is gone.
"Oh shit!" Brute cursed, "The girl is gone!" he exclaimed.
"She must have slipped away while were distracted by the smoke!" Popstar concluded.
"Quick! She probably haven't gotten that far!" Smirk beckoned.
The grunts were about to run after Gloria when something blocks their part, the trio looks up to see Flak standing before them rather menacingly, Flak's intimidating glare alongside his large build & stature is more than enough to scare the grunts but the glowing red lens on his goggles further terrifies them, the trio of grunts are now shaking in their boots as the big guy looks down on them.
"W-W-W-Wait..." Brute stuttered in fear, "Y-Y-You're Flak..." he uttered while revealing the name of the person in front of them, "W-What are you doing here?" he asked.
Flak then responded by grabbing Brute by the throat, the big guy then lifts the male Team Aqua grunt up in the air before slamming him down to the ground, Brute bounces like a ragdoll before landing on the ground face first with an unconscious look on his face.
"Brute!" Smirk shouted at her fallen comrade, she then glares at Flak, "You're gonna-OOOMPFF!" she was trying to say when Flak kicks her really hard on the midsection which sends her flying into a wall, fainting from the back pain, she fell down to the ground.
Flak then turns to Popstar with the full-intention of hurting her, "Wait! Wait! Wait!" the female Team Rocket pleaded while frantically waving her hands but the big guy raised his fist and then...
BAM!
Meanwhile behind a stall somewhere in the area, we see Gloria and the mysterious figure catching their breaths after all the running, the mysterious figure is none other than Risukuma.
"Huff... huff..." Gloria huffed, "Thanks for saving me back there, Risukuma." she said in gratitude.
Risukuma took a deep breath before composing himself, "It's no pleasure." he reassured while adjusting his labcoat, "But why didn't you fight back?" he asked, "You have Pokemons like them." he pointed out.
Gloria chuckled nervously, "I left them back in the Pokemon Center for some treatment." she answered.
"I see." Risukuma uttered with a nod, "But what are you doing here at this time of the night?" he questioned.
Gloria rubs the back of her head, "I fell asleep during the day and when I woke up I found myself in a rather secluded part of this place." she answered.
"Why did you chose to sleep here instead of going home?" Risukuma inquired.
"I suddenly fell asleep while walking around." Gloria answered, "It was abrupt and unexpected, so I really had no time to react." she reasoned, "I think the reason I fell asleep it's because of those blue-colored glitters that Ed accidentally poured all over me." she stated.
Risukuma thought about it, "A sleep powder, huh?" he uttered, "That explains things." he concluded.
"What are you doing here, Risukuma?" Gloria asked.
Risukuma crosses his arms, "I'm here to confirm if the rumored Perenimat Amulet is actually here or not." he answered.
Gloria gasped in shock, "The Perenimat Amulet?!" she squawked, "The same item Tricky and the others are looking for!" she stated, "What are you gonna do with it?" she questioned.
"I plan to conduct small research about the item." Risukuma answered, "I'm going to hand it over to the authorities afterwards once I got a few things out of it." he explained, "If the rumors about the item's abilities were true, then we need to provide countermeasures just in case the worse happens." he explained.
"I see..." Gloria uttered, "So, what should we do now?" she asked.
Risukuma thought about it, "Hmm... things are going to be troublesome with those guys lurking around." he replied while referring to the grunts, "It'll be difficult for me to search for the Perenimat Amulet and protecting you at the same time." he stated.
"Maybe we should regroup with Rufus?" Gloria suggested.
"Rufus?" Risukuma questioned.
"Rufus the Tinkerer." Gloria clarified.
"What? That Rufus is here as well!" Risukuma exclaimed in surprise, "What is he doing here?" he questioned.
"Rufus fell asleep somewhere in this place after getting accidentally poured by the same blue-colored glitters just like me." Gloria answered, "The two of us were about to leave this place by climbing the gates when those grunts arrived and chased us." she explained, "We got separated afterwards." she concluded.
Risukuma nodded, "I see." he uttered, "Then it's best that we meet up with Rufus and plan things out." he beckoned.
"I wonder how is he doing right now." Gloria uttered in concern.
Meanwhile in another part of the area, we see Rufus the Tinkerer hiding inside one tent, Rufus is seen sitting by a table while catching his breath after his rather fierce encounter with Vera Symptoms.
"This is bad..." Rufus uttered, "Those grunts are already enough of a trouble for me but I just had to encounter a frickin' glitch." he complained in annoyance.
Rufus had encountered numerous glitches and bugs before - both are considered great threats in Gamesphere - but this is the first time that he'd encountered a human-type glitch. Thinking about it a bit, Rufus was never even aware that a human-like glitch even exist in the first place and in fact... everyone in Gamesphere doesn't even know that these type of glitch even existed, so Vera's appearance shocked him to the core and to the point of concern.
"This might turn ugly." Rufus uttered before pulling out his phone, "I better call PC and Luigi for assistance..." he said before shaking his head, "No, those two are probably busy at the moment if I remembered their schedules right." he recalled. Thinking who to call for help, Rufus sighed in defeat, "Guess I better call her instead." he concluded.
(Scene Change)
The scene then transitions to the Police Station New York City [MMD] (created by Deiroko) and inside, Andy Bogard and Guile are seen having a conversation at one table while at the coffee machine table, John Price is seen having a conversation with Samus Aran and Wayne Holden.
Meanwhile a young woman is seen doing paperworks at another table.
The young woman with a slim frame and has thick legs, she has a long brown hair currently tied in a Chinese bun by white ribbons, and has brown eyes. She wears a modified blue qipao with yellow accents, slit sides, a white sash wrapped around her mid-section and puffy shoulders over a blue leotard, she wears a dark-brown pantyhose, white calf-length combat boots, and black spiked bracelets. This is Chun Li.
Chun-Li then reads a file about the recent thefts going on around the kingdom when her phone rang, she then immediately picks it up, "Hello?" she greeted.
"Hey, Chun-Li." the voice of Rufus greeted.
Chun-Li raised an eyebrow, "Rufus?" she uttered, "It's so rare for you to call us." she commented.
"Yeah, I know." Rufus agreed, "Listen... I'm currently in trouble right now." he shared.
"Trouble?" Chun-Li uttered, "What did you this time?" she questioned.
"For once, I am not the cause of the trouble." Rufus dismissed, "Anyway... I'm currently inside a festival area." he pinpointed, "I fell asleep during the day alongside Gloria, whom I'm separated with at the moment, we were about leave this place when we encountered something troublesome." he stated.
"What did the two of you encountered?" Chun-Li inquired.
"A glitch." Rufus answered.
"A glitch?" Chun-Li uttered in question, "I'm pretty sure that you can take care something like that with your 'Absent Powers' and all." she pointed out.
"That's the problem..." Rufus uttered, "... the one I've encountered ain't no ordinary glitch..." he stated, "... it's a human-type glitch." he revealed.
Chun-Li's eyes widen in shock, "What?" she uttered in disbelief.
"As crazy as it sounds, I'm not joking." Rufus confirmed, "This human-type glitch displayed the same abilities of a normal glitch and the one I encountered is a lot more dangerous because it has a mind of it's own and what's more concerning is that this glitch is a lot smarter than expected." he explained.
Chun-Li thought about it, "I see..." she uttered, "But what is that glitch doing there?" she inquired.
"I don't know." Rufus answered, "It seems to be looking for something and doesn't seem to appreciate the company of the others." he presumed.
"I see..." Chun-Li uttered, "All right, I'll head there right away alongside my squad, so hang in there for a while." she advised.
"Crystal." Rufus answered before ending the call.
Chun-Li then stood up from her table, "Better get going." she beckoned.
(Scene Change)
The scene transitions back to the tent where Rufus is hiding, the tinkerer let's out a sigh before leaning a bit on his seat. While he rightfully reported about the glitch, Rufus neglected to tell Chun-Li about the grunts and their goals to find the Perenimat Amulet, he should have reported them as well but he's buddies with a few of them, so he decided not to do so.
"Better call them as well and give them a heads-up." Rufus beckoned before making another call, after hearing a few ringing sound, someone picked up the call from the end, "Yo, Tricky." he greeted.
"Yo, Rufus, what's up?!" the voice of Tricky answered.
"I just called the cops." Rufus answered rather bluntly.
"YOU CALLED THE COPS ON US!" Tricky exclaimed in shock.
"No, I called the cops on a glitch that I've encountered early." Rufus clarified, "I called to give you guys a heads-up." he reasoned, "So gather your buddies and hide somewhere because the cops will be here at any moment." he advised.
"I see..." Tricky uttered, "Thanks for giving us the heads-up dude, I owe ya one!" he said in gratitude before ending the call.
Rufus sighed before getting up from his seat, "Better go find Gloria and tell her what's going on." he stated and proceeds to leave the tent.
Meanwhile inside another tent, we see Vera Symptoms rummaging through another pile of boxes, she decided to resume her search for the Perenimat Amulet after her encounter Rufus from earlier. When Rufus managed to get away from her, she tried to go after him but she realized that she is wasting time, so she decided to forget about him and resumed her search.
And perhaps leaving him alone is the right thing to do...
Flak then entered then tent, "Lady Vera, I took care of the people who made noise." he reported.
"Good work, Flak." Vera complimented before turning to her companion with an item in hand, "I finally found it, Flak." she declared.
The item diamond-shaped crystal with a red & blue colors and is held together by a yellow-colored structure, and it has red & blue bead-like stones are neatly aligned in a square pattern.
"Is that...?" Flak uttered in question.
Vera gave him a rather demented smile, "Yes..." she confirmed, "It's the Perenimat Amulet!" she presented with body glitching a bit, "I can finally be one of you!" she cheered in excitement.
