Today isn't going the way Aku had expected...

First it started off great! He woke up right when the sun was at the horizon and did his usual morning rituals.

1.) Stoke his flaming eyebrows (gotta look your best when you're causing misery and mayhem!).

2.) Enjoy a breakfast consisting of cattle fresh from some poor farmer's farm.

3.) Address his slaves by mocking them and telling them that any god(s) they worship are fake.

4.) Enact world domination which will eventually span across the universe.

Everything was supposed to go smooth and would've until he came along. "Who?" you might be asking? Oh, no one important; just the son of the same emperor who Aku was defeated and imprisoned by years ago. Aku did wonder where that little brat ran off to after he captured his father, but he assumed the kid died in a fire or something.

But it turns out that the boy was sent away to train for seventeen years in order to return and defeat Aku. This wouldn't worry Aku much, but the boy-now-man is wielding a magic sword that was created by three deities that is able to tear through Aku's body and even kill him (Sometimes Aku wonders why these deities never come down to face him themselves?). Now he's like some sort of... Samurai.

Turns out that this samurai is surprisingly quick and is very skilled with a blade and was able to overpower the demon, so now Aku is near an inch of his life as he lays sprawled on the ground like a black puddle while the samurai stands over him ready to deal the final blow.

But Aku wasn't ready to give up just yet! He had an idea: send the samurai through a time portal that'll bring him to the future where Aku rules supreme and kill him there. All he needed to do was buy himself some time.

Aku looks up at the samurai with a nasty glare. "You might've defeated me now, but I will destr-YYAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHH!"

The demon screams in agony as the samurai plunges the enchanted blade into Aku's dark chest. He looks forward and sees the sword sink deeper and deeper into him.

"I refuse to fall for your tricks, Aku!" The samurai said in a low tone.

Aku watched helplessly as the sword begins burning his body, destroying his evil. He then felt himself being pulled into the sword fully coating the blade until it was black as night. The only thing Aku could do while trapped in the sword was blink. The samurai then raises his sword in the air and let out a battle cry before slamming the tip of the blade into the ground at full force.

Aku's essence leaked from the blade and morphed onto the ground and quickly reached to the flame-like walls. The blackness even reached outside of Aku's tower, completely covering it until the tower started to combust not even a second later.

As the tower and Aku himself were being destroyed, the samurai ran out as quick as he can and made it to a safe distance just in time as the tower exploded, thus destroying Aku forever.

Hours later after the last few minions of Aku were destroyed, the samurai sits in front of a large fire with his father and mother who are the emperor and empress respectfully and the people of his kingdom.

The emperor, while weakened and malnourished, manages to speak loud enough for everyone around to hear.

"Everyone! The gods above have granted us this great victory! Thanks to my son, Aku is no more!" The crowd cheers while the samurai is being hugged by his mother.

"Though we must prepare ourselves for the long road ahead. We have a kingdom to rebuild after Aku's reign of terror. But tonight, we celebrate! Eat, drink and dance as much as your bodies will allow!" the emperor proclaimed which earned another round of cheers from his people.

More time passes and the samurai finally has a moment alone with his parents after years of being separated. He tells his parents about how he defeated Aku and made sure the demon was really dead.

"I noticed Aku was trying to distract me with words, so I took that moment to deal my final blow." The samurai explains before taking a sip of his tea.

The emperor nodded and patted his son on the shoulder.

"That was very wise of you. Aku was most likely trying to buy himself some time to pull a trick on you, but now it's over."

The samurai stood up and bowed. "If you both will excuse me, I must return to our home and see what repairs need to be done."

But he was stopped by his mother. "My sweet boy, you must rest! You've been doing nothing but moving around for seventeen years!" she said worriedly.

The samurai chuckled at his mother's concern.

"I'm fine mother. Really." he insisted.

But his mother wasn't going to let up so quickly. "At least get a full night's rest." she pleaded.

"Your mother is right, son. You deserve to take it easy after all you've been through." his father added.

The samurai knew that his parents wouldn't stop begging him, so he agreed.

He soon retired to his tent and laid down on his mat. It was only now that he realized he was tired. Guess mothers are always right.

The samurai was proud of himself; his long journey is finally over as a new chapter opens up. But he knows that the peace won't stay forever. There are more threats out there like Aku regardless of a demon or human, but the samurai would be ready to fight and defend his people once more.

As his eyelids grew heavy, the samurai began to wonder what Aku was trying to tell him? What would've happened if he let the demon speak? Would Aku of killed him with a sneak attack, or send him to another world or even through time?

The samurai didn't know, and maybe it's best that he never found out. But he decided to ignore this thought and move forward with his life.

After all, it's not best to dwell on the past.

The End.

This is an idea I had after rewatching the first episode of Samurai Jack and realized that the whole show wouldn't have happened if "Jack" just killed Aku immediately instead of letting him speak and buying time to open up a time portal.
