Chapter 21:

"Like I said. If you still decide to kick me out then I'll gladly leave, but I'm taking him with me." Sesshomaru reiterated. Inuyasha's inner demon felt protected as he stepped closer to his side. Their father let out a troubled exhale.

"Unbelievable. I can't." InuTaisho surrendered. "I'll agree with what your mother says, so come downstairs. You two have some explaining to do." He led them down the stairs to the back guest room where their mother was lounging.

"Oh hi. You're all together, that's unusual."

"These two have been keeping a secret from us." InuTaisho sat down first, waiting for the brothers to start talking.

"Um, that…" Inuyasha began but struggled to introduce their relationship without being too blunt.

"We're mates." However, Sesshomaru trampled over his dilemma and blurted it out.

Izayoi blinked twice, not following initially. "Huh?" She innocently let out.

"Sesshomaru's…actually the father…" Inuyasha embarrassingly confessed in terms she would understand, rubbing the back of his neck while looking somewhere on the floor.

"Eh…eh?!" Their mother gasped, covering her mouth with a hand eventually, completely shook from the news. However, she seemed more in awe than disgusted or repulsed. InuTaisho watched her for a further reaction of acceptance or disapproval. "Oh heavens…I can't believe this is real… I mean, I always did hope if Inu could find someone like Sesshomaru that'd be so great. But I'm completely speechless that it came true." The others could swear they saw stars in her eyes flash once.

Their father wanted to facepalm. Of course, Izayoi would be okay with it, the woman was too graceful. Well, it was three against one now, so he couldn't keep up the argument for long.

"Huh? What's that supposed to mean mom?" Inuyasha was the first to question her, a blush dusting his cheeks.

"Think about it, Sesshomaru's young, handsome, adept and even has a great job. He's perfect."

"Whaat?! You don't even know how much of an asshole he is—" The teen began but was rudely cut off by a hand pushing his head down.

"I appreciate the blessing." Sesshomaru said instead, thinking he'd won Inu's mom over already.

"Okay, just because we've somewhat come to terms with it, doesn't mean you two can get carried away." Their father strictly reminded.

"Wouldn't plan on it." Sesshomaru responded, mirroring the same seriousness. However, Inuyasha besides him couldn't hide his excitement at finally being free of the weight of their secret as he wrapped a hand around the demon's arm.

"So, we can still stay right?" The hanyo clarified.

"Though I don't mind us moving out..." His elder brother sneakily added.

"Okay don't get too cocky now. Yes, you can stay. I'm still new to all this so it's a bit hard for me to accept but… truthfully... you're gonna need extra hands with the baby..." InuTaisho admitted and Inuyasha jumped him, hugging him tightly. Meanwhile Izayoi squealed at the reality.

"Aw, I can't wait to see my grandchild~ I hope it's a girl~. Oh my God, have you had an ultrasound done yet?"

"No not yet." The teen removed himself from his dad and turned back to her. Suddenly this whole conversation was awkward to have with his own mom.

"Oh but it's too soon isn't it?" His mom realized she had spoken out too soon.

"Actually, we were told demon pregnancies are a lot shorter, three months in total. It's already been two weeks so far."

"It can wait." His mate denounced, ending the conversation there. "Anyhow, I think that's enough stress for one day." Sesshomaru resolved, remember sensing how tense and concerned the hanyo was earlier. "Come with me, you need to rest."

"Huh I'm fine—ah!" before he could finish his sentence the younger was lifted off the couch effortlessly and carried out of the room. Inu turned a shade of crimson as he playfully smacked his mate.

"Ugh not in front of them-!" Inu hissed. "You're embarrassing."

"Now that they've acknowledged the fact, I don't have to hold back." Sesshomaru said it loud enough for his parents to hear, who were watching them dumbfounded until the very minute they left the room.

"Oh my, who would've thought he'd be so endearing." Izayoi pointed out as soon as the brothers were out the door.

"You're telling me…" InuTaisho was forcing a smile to keep his brain in one piece. "He's like a different person." His wife laughed at that.

"It's for the better. They're right, we can't stop them if they're not related by blood and fell in love first." InuTaisho sighed. One of these days he'd get over it. It's not as if incestuous relationships were uncommon in the demon kingdom. In fact, his first wife, Sesshomaru's mother was also a second or third cousin of his.

'Hm…' Speaking of which he hadn't contacted the said person in quite a while now. He wondered if she even cared about Sesshomaru enough to be informed that he was going to be a father soon.

"What's wrong honey?"

"Nothing." InuTaisho pushed the thought aside and smiled. 'Well, if she wasn't interested, he wasn't going to bother either. They had a family of their own now.'

"Have someone else grab it." Sesshomaru insisted over the phone.

"Oh my God Sesshomaru, what do you take me for? I can do this much at least." Inuyasha argued over the phone as he pulled on a hoodie and prepared to go to the store to buy a handful of things he was craving. He also just wanted to get out of the house for a bit. Get some fresh air, you know?

"Ask the driver to purchase what you need."

"I'm not that incompetent, okay. Plus, I'm bored sitting home all day!" Inuyasha was already walking towards the front to fetch his shoes. It had been a week since they came out to their parents and he was showing in the slightest but nothing a hoodie couldn't hide.

"Half breed." His mate was at work currently and sounded serious over the phone when Inuyasha refused to back down.

"I'm already outside, stop me if you can. I'm walking there right now." The hanyo opened the front door.

"You are walking?" The elder freaked on the other line. "Are you dense?"

"Ugghhh how come your insults don't ever get nicer?! I said I'm feeling fine! No fever, no dizziness! It's only been three weeks goddammit. Geez who would've thought you could be so nagging?"

"...Inuyasha..." the younger could feel the other seething through the phone. He heard a loud irate sigh. "Then at least have someone drive you there."

"Sesshomaru…"

"I mean it." The elder deadpanned and Inu couldn't win against that tone. It was a conditional response but Inu sincerely thought he would get killed by his own mate one day. He should use the baby as a shield more often.

"Okay fine."

"I'll let the driver know." Sesshomaru immediately told.

"Yes yes your highness." He was certain Sesshomaru's chest was rising with pride on the other side. "I hope our child inherits nothing from you."

"Hmph. Not even my good looks?"

"Condescending much?"

"You're the one who said it." The demon reminded.

"I regret it." Inu mumbled. "You need the personality to back it up." 'He didn't regret it.'

"We'll see about that."

Before Inuyasha could respond to that, he was approached by their driver. "Inuyasha-sama, I received a text from Sesshomaru-sama that you wanted to be accompanied to the grocery mart?"

"More like forced." The teen told him, phone still on his ear.

"Just accept it hanyo and don't do anything stupid. Call me immediately if anything happens."

"Yeah, yeah." Inuyasha rolled his eyes and hung up, following the driver to the car.

At the mart, Inuyasha was leisurely picking out all that he needed while the driver was parked outside. He turned the corner into the frozen aisle and spotted his favorite ice cream cones behind the glass doors. However, before he could reach out and knock someone, he noticed a woman standing right in front of the door handle.

"Ah-" The teen let out as the woman rotated her head to face him. The hanyo was speechless at the sight and felt a feeling of déjà vu wash over him. A notion similar to the first time he saw Sesshomaru because this woman was unrealistically beautiful as well. As the teen studied her, he couldn't help but think she did resemble Sesshomaru a lot; silver hair, demon markings, narrow bright eyes with a piercing gaze. She looked like a female version of his mate—was that a coincidence?

"I'm sorry, am I in the way?" She spoke with a quiet yet bold tone.

"Oh, haha no it's okay, go ahead." Inu snapped out of his trance and took a step back. She wordlessly grabbed what she needed and turned away. Similarly, the teen continued with his shopping endeavor, not paying attention to the woman giving him one last look behind his back.

'Interesting, a half breed.' She observed. 'But…with two spiritual energies—pregnant? That was a rare sight these days. Whatever.' She decided it wasn't worth her time.

Inuyasha came home feeling accomplished. It was late in the afternoon and apparently Sesshomaru still wasn't home from work yet. He shrugged, heading towards his room and changing into a simple loose T-shirt with a pair of shorts before falling on the bed.

'Weird, I didn't even do much yet I' m so tired already…ughhh, it's probably cause of this.' Thinking of the new soul growing in his stomach. But then again, he didn't have the best sleep the night before—changing hormones maybe?

With nothing to lose, he allowed himself to take a nap.

Inuyasha woke up to something itchy and tingling the skin on his neck. Then his nerve endings processed a fine crawling sensation and he instantly snapped his eyes open dreading a spider or insect. The younger was now sitting up on the bed and recognized not a spider or cockroach but Sesshomaru sitting beside him with a feather in his hand.

"Hey what the hell?"

The elder put the feather down. "What are you doing in my room?"

"What do you mean, this is..." The hanyo looked past him to the rest of the room. "…not my room. Ah... I don't know... I must have... well, that explains why it was so comfortable…" His mate's scent must have led him here and comforted him while he wasn't physically present himself.

"You're welcome to stay."

"Technically if they know we're mates now, we can share a room now, no?"

"Which is why I said you're welcome to stay." The demon loosely wrapped his arms around the teen's waist as he came closer to smell or mark (?) his neck.

Inu let out a stifled moaned when he felt lips kiss his neck, with Sesshomaru ultimately guiding him back down on the mattress. The demon still sat at the edge of the bed, spine arched all the way forward as he showered his mate with kisses. Inuyasha moved both his knees to the side so they weren't poking the other's ribs. Eventually Sesshomaru's lips moved to his cheek before landing on his lips, locking them in place. The teen's arms automatically found his brother's neck and wrapped around it.

The silverette sucked on his lower lip once before licking it and slipping his tongue right inside, between the other's lip and jaw. The hanyo parted his lips and Sesshomaru's tongue entered without a second thought, like it had the path all memorized. As soon as it brushed against Inuyasha's, he also had a conditioned response to welcome it and mingle with it until saliva was pooling in his mouth.

"Hanyo…"

"Mh…we can't continue…"

"…" Sesshomaru already knew that but it was almost impossible to resist after making out this much. This is why he'd rather avoid making a move all together.

"I can't…I'm pregnant…"

Sesshomaru wasn't an expert but something told him it would probably be okay…but for his mate's sake he held back. "I know. Just leave it. Did you eat dinner already?" The demon asked instead, fingers absent mindedly trailing up and down Inuyasha's bare calf.

"Oh, not yet, I just went to sleep after I came back." The hanyo sat back up again, wiping his lips.

"Then, let's go down." The silverette tilted his head. Inu nodded and climbed off the bed, following the other downstairs. "And don't forget to take your pills before bed."

"Ugh, I know. Anything else your highness?"

Sesshomaru only gave him an incredulous look.

"Hey you lovely young couple, dinner is served." Izayoi waved with a wide grin, her and InuTaisho already seated on the table.

"Geez mom, if you're gonna say that every time you see us together, I'm moving out tonight." Inu threatened, pulling a chair out.

"Oh I'm sorry honey, it's just still a dream for me to see you going out with someone."

Meanwhile Sesshomaru and InuTaisho silently began eating while the mother and son talked back and forth.

Aw look at our big scary Sesho being all gentle, haha. Also that bit about InuTaisho and InuKimi being related-I made that up.

But guys I have to confess, I bang my head on the keyboard like a million times. The cringe, sorry mpreg is always so corny/too cheesy for me. Maybe that's why it takes me so long. Glad you guys are enjoying it coz its taking away my sanity lmaooo. (Jk but true `XD)
