Okay so this one got a little steamy but it wrote itself ok? I didn't do anything other than set the stage. That said, this one definitely gets more romantic in nature and not an it's only implied feelings and romantic stuff. This is set in s2 but I have both Keith and Allura at 18 so nothing creepy and the prompt is 'gentle smooches'.

As Allura held Keith close and he slowly returned her hug, she realised she didn't want to let him go. It was necessary, she knew that because they needed the information, but something kept her holding on and Keith didn't try to pull away either.

"Allura," Keith murmured. "I need to go."

"Don't go," The words escaped her before she could even try to filter them, and she didn't want to. Not here. Not now.

"I have to," Keith replied. "We won't be able to defeat Zarkon if we don't have all the information."

She knew that. She knew that defeating Zarkon was the most important thing right now but at the same time, if the Blades' ally had gone silent, something may have happened to him, and the same thing could happen to Keith.

"I'll come back safely," Keith spoke again. "I promise I will."

Allura slowly pulled away from him and nodded. "Yeah." She couldn't let her emotions get in the way of this. Everyone was depending on her, then why was her heart beating so fast? "I just…" She couldn't put it in words, but she realised Keith hadn't tried to pull away to go on the mission because they were running out of time. In fact, he took another step towards her and took her hands in his own, closing the gap between them.

"Can I?" Keith's voice was barely that above a whisper as if something would shatter if he spoke any louder.

Allura nodded, not wanting to speak but she gave his hands a silent squeeze in return, all thoughts, all concerns fleeing from her mind as their lips met in tender bliss. The tender moment spoke louder than words ever could, and, at that moment, she knew the reason why she didn't want to let him go. She knew this moment could not last forever or freeze but for as long as it would last, she would hold onto it. As he pulled away, his gaze locked onto her.

"I'll come back to you," Keith assured her softly. "Trust me."

"Okay," Allura agreed, leaning over, and pressing her lips to him once more before pulling back. "We'll do all we can from here." They did have a job to do, after all, and a job that came before any of their personal preferences.
