Stephanie parked her car in front of her parent's house and took a deep breath. She was happy to be home and ready to get Aiden but she was not in a hurry to deal with her parents. At least they hadn't been saying anything about Paul and her decision to be with him but they didn't need to because she could see the judging when they looked at her. That was the part she hated dealing with when being around them.

She took another deep breath before opening her door to get out. Thankfully before she made it out of the car she caught the sight of her ring out of the corner of her eye. It had only been on her hand for two days but she was already getting used to it being there that it didn't feel foreign as it first did. Thankfully she had noticed it before she made it inside her parent's house because the last thing she wanted to do was tell them the news. She could just see her mother's disapproving and judging stare and she was afraid of Vince possibly having another heart attack. It wasn't as if she wasn't going to tell them, it was just the question of when. For now though, they were keeping it between them. They weren't even telling Aiden right now and she wasn't sure if he'd really understand but she didn't want him telling Linda and Vince.

"Mommy!" Aiden yelled and ran to her as soon as she came in the door. She caught him and hugged him tight to her.

"Hey sweetie. Did you have fun?"

"Yeah but I missed you and daddy" Aiden replied after nodding his head.

"We missed you too but the good news is we'll get to spend time together for a while."

"You don't have to leave again?" Aiden asked with a skeptical look on his face.

"Not for a while" Stephanie replied putting him back down. "Go get your stuff you brought and we'll go home."

"Are you not going to stay and visit for a while?" Linda asked coming into the foyer with them.

"Paul is waiting for us."

"He sees you a lot more than we get to. Why not stay for dinner and spend some time with us?"

"We promised Aiden once we got back we'd take him to Chuck E Cheese so that's where we are going for dinner" Stephanie replied crossing her arms. The thought of sitting at a dinner table with awkward conversation or mostly likely awkward silence didn't not sound appealing to Stephanie. They didn't want to hear about Paul and he was a huge part of Stephanie and Aiden's life, especially now. So it wasn't like she could really talk to them about things going on in her life and Linda didn't want work talk around right now since Vince's heart attack. There really wasn't anything more for them to talk about.

"Can't you do that another time?"

"Aiden sweetie go get your things" Stephanie said ushering him out of the room before turning back to her mother.

"I don't want to fight."
"We're not fighting."
"It's going to turn into one if you keep acting like this. Why do you want me to stay for dinner? You don't want to hear about my life –"

"Of course I do" Linda interrupted her.

"Really? You want to know about me and Paul and how hard things are for us. We don't get to see each other as much because I'm on the road and I hate knowing how much he would love to be doing the same –"

"He made his choice."

"So you want to punish me and Aiden for it too? Would you have rather Aiden not have his father?"

"He was perfectly fine without him all these years. I can't understand why you would want to go back to someone who left you with a baby to raise on your own."

"I told you he didn't know I was pregnant."

"It doesn't matter if he knew or not. He left with no word and you don't –"

"Okay I've heard enough mom. We've been over this and I don't want to fight anymore. Don't make me look like the bad guy especially in front of Aiden. He loves Paul and he wants him in his life and it's not fair for you to want to take that away from him."

"I got my stuff mommy" Aiden said distracting her from the fight with Linda.

"Let's get going then" Stephanie replied directing him towards the door. "Bye mom."

Once they were outside Stephanie led Aiden to the car while trying to shake off the bad mood her mother had put her in. This was the reason why she hadn't wanted to tell her news and why it would probably take a very long time to tell them. It was only going to take the happiness and excitement away which was something she was trying not to let happen at the moment.

"Where is daddy going?" Aiden asked as Stephanie got into the driver seat.

"Nowhere baby."

"Grandma said he was going to leave."

"She just thought he was going somewhere but I told her he wasn't, okay?" Stephanie tried to make up something so he wouldn't believe Linda. This was another reason she hated talking to her mom anymore because she didn't want Aiden hearing this stuff and think Paul was going to leave them. Which she wasn't really sure if Aiden understood what exactly Linda meant but she still didn't want him hearing it.

"Okay mommy" Aiden replied and Stephanie breathed out in relief and started the car. Hopefully he wouldn't bring it up anymore especially around Paul. She didn't want Paul thinking that Linda was getting Aiden to believe he was going to leave them.

Paul set the phone on the coffee table and headed into the bathroom where Stephanie was at the sink pouring Children's Tylenol in a plastic cup.

"How is he feeling?" Paul asked giving her a kiss.

"Still the same. He was perfectly fine when I picked him up from my mom's house. This came out of nowhere" Stephanie replied putting the lid back on the bottle.

After Aiden had got home he shortly started complaining of not feeling good and he started to run a low grade fever. So now he was laying in bed while Stephanie was getting him medicine. He was pretty bummed, not because he was sick but because now he couldn't go to Chuck E Cheese. Paul promised him when he got better that they would go and he seemed to be good with that but then again he probably didn't care enough to fight it since he was sick.

"How is your mom?" Stephanie asked since he just got off the phone with her a few seconds ago.

"She's good. She was calling to see how we were and to see when she could see Aiden again."

"Well as soon as he feels better you can take him to see them."

"By myself?" Paul asked surprised.

"Yeah" Stephanie chuckled at his reaction. "He's your son too and you have every right to take him to see your parents. Especially now."

"Do you not want to go with us?"

"I'd love to but I'm not sure when Shane will need me to take over and honestly I'd love just to sit home and do nothing for a while. I'm so tired of feeling like I'm constantly going. I use to get more breaks than this."

"I know. We'll try to plan a time when we all can go but we'll talk about it later."

"Here" Stephanie handed him the little plastic cup of Tylenol. "Aiden wants to you to read him a story so you can give him his medicine."

"Okay" Paul replied taking the cup and headed to Aiden's room.

He was laying on his side curled up in a ball. The poor guy looked miserable as Paul sat on the edge of his bed and felt of his forehead.

"Here you go buddy. You need to sit up and take this" Paul said as Aiden moved slowly to a sitting position and took the medicine from Paul. He hated seeing him feel so bad and he hoped it was just some twenty-four-hour bug and he'd be feeling better tomorrow.

While Aiden took his medicine Paul went and got a book from Aiden's bookshelf and sat back down on the edge of the bed. Aiden handed him the now empty plastic cup before laying back down in bed. After that it only took a couple of pages into the book before Aiden was fast asleep. Paul kissed his forehead and put the book back on the shelf before taking the medicine cup back to the bathroom.

"He's already asleep?" Stephanie asked as he came into the living room and sat down on the couch beside of her.

"Yeah I think he held on as much as he could for me to read him a story."

"I hope he feels better soon. I hate seeing him sick. I'd rather it be me than him."

"I'm sure he will be better soon. I hate seeing him sick too. This is the first time I've seen him sick so this really new to me."

"It sucks that's for sure but the only thing we can do is wait it out and keep him comfortable until it passes. I guess we're going to be experiencing a lot of new things together" Stephanie replied with a smile as Paul moved to stretch out on the couch and pulled her to his side to where she was laying down with him.

"Yeah we are and I know it won't always be rainbows and butterflies and shit but no matter what we'll always work through it. No matter how pissed we get at each other or if any of our families try to come between us" Paul tucked a piece of hair behind her ear and kissed her softly on the lips.

"You mean no matter how much my family tries to come between us. Your parents are fine with us."

"They are but just incase they aren't on board with our latest decision. When do you think you'll want to tell everyone?" Paul asked and she shrugged.

"I just want to enjoy the bliss for awhile and not have people judge us so probably not any time soon. Maybe never for my family." Stephanie replied as he chuckled.

"We'll definitely have to tell your family at some point or our son will do it for us."

"Maybe I'll just let him do it. At least then my mother can't tell me how much of a mistake I'm making and ruin my happiness."

"You'll have to be the one to do it Steph" Paul replied running his fingers through her hair.

"I know but I honestly probably won't for a while. Can we talk about something else? I don't want her ruining my good mood anymore today."

"Okay well since we are going to spend the rest of our lives together then we should probably talk about something we haven't yet" Paul replied as Stephanie looked at him with a confused expression. "I'd like to have another kid."

"Now?" Stephanie's voice raising an octave.

"Well maybe not right now" Paul chuckled at her reaction. "But someday soon would be nice."

"I'd like to have another child but not until we're back stable with jobs. After dad gets to go back to work I'm going to be out of a job again and you still haven't found anything."

"Don 't start worrying about that right now. I just wanted to talk about the possibility of another child in the future" Paul replied kissing the tip of her nose.

"I definitely want more."

"You know we can still have fun without making a baby" Paul wiggled his eyebrows at her and she giggled at him until he captured her lips in a kiss. He didn't think he'd ever get tired of making her laugh, kissing her or making love to her. Which is something they had been doing for days since she'd agreed to be his forever. The thought of being with one person for the rest of his life didn't scare him especially when it was Stephanie. He couldn't imagine being with anyone else and that's why he hadn't hesitated in proposing to her in Vegas. It was really soon considering how long they had been together but it didn't feel as short of time to him. It felt like they had been together for years.

"Do you think Aiden will wake up and come in here?" Stephanie asked as his lips moved down her neck and he slipped his hand under her shirt.

"No he was pretty out of it so I think we'll be fine" he mumbled against her neck.

Stephanie moaned and rubbed against his hardening cock as he ran the pad of his thumb against her nipple. He groaned when she used her hand to stroke him teasingly as best as she could against the material of his pants.

"Steph" he panted as he ran his hands down her sides to the hem of her shirt and pulled it off of her. As soon as her shirt was off she started to undo his pants and reached inside his underwear to stroke him. "Fuck."

He then bent his head and sucked on one of her nipples before running his hand down her stomach and slipping it into her panties. She inhaled sharply as he slid a finger through her wetness and then up to circle her clit just as the phone began to ring.

"Let the machine get it" Paul said before moving over to her other breast.

"Okay" Stephanie replied absentmindedly as he slipped a finger inside of her.

"Stephanie I know you're there. Pick up" came Shane's voice from the answering machine. "Listen I hope to God you and Paul haven't done what I just heard"

"Fuck" Stephanie said irritated as she stopped stroking him. "I'm sorry this is just killing the mood."

"It's okay" Paul replied kissing her softly and removing his hand from her panties.

He watched as she got up from the couch and pulled on her shirt before grabbing the phone. He sat up and buttoned his pants as she started pacing across the room.

"Wait where did you see that?" Stephanie asked running her hand through her hair. He wasn't sure what she was talking about but she looked stressed as she started to fiddle with her rings on her left hand. That's when he started to feel a little anxious. "Do you think mom or dad has seen it?"

He watched as she paced the living room and chewed on her thumbnail until Paul went over to her and wrapped his arms around her from behind and rested his head on her shoulder. He froze though when he finally could hear what Shane was saying. It made him think back to the night he asked her to marry him.

"Will you marry me?" Paul asked staring at her waiting for an answer.

"Yes" Stephanie whispered with her heart beat wildly in her chest that somehow started beating even more as Paul's face widened in a huge smile.

"I love you" Paul said cupping her face in his hands and kissing her passionately. When the kiss endedA he rested his forehead against hers and she looked into his eyes and smiled. She wasn't sure if they were insane for getting engaged so quickly but she didn't care. She knew she wanted to spend the rest of her life with him. "Let's go."

"Where?" Stephanie asked scrunching her forehead.

"To get married" Paul chuckled moving away from her and heading out of the bathroom.

"Wait. What?" Stephanie asked confused following him. She watched him as he grabbed his wallet, jacket and keys.

"We're in Vegas. It's the perfect place to get married."

"But we just engaged Paul" Stephanie said shaking her head. "Isn't it too soon?"

"What are we waiting for Steph? I know we just started dating again but I know I don't want anyone else. I love you so much that I'd give up anything to be with you and Aiden."

"Everyone will think we're crazy" Stephanie replied trying to think rationally.

"Nobody else but Aiden matters."

"What will our parents say? You know how mine already are and they will be pissed."

"Is there any scenario they won't be pissed? Whether it be us getting engaged or married your parents will never approve of me Steph" Paul replied shrugging and she knew he was right. "We could always get engaged and plan for a wedding if that's what you want."

"But my parents probably won't come" Stephanie replied coming to the realization that her dad would probably never walk her down the aisle if she married Paul. Her mom would never help pick out her wedding dress and gush over her on her wedding day. It hurt a little but Paul was the man she wanted to be with for the rest of her life and if her parents wouldn't approve of him then that was their problem.

"It's up to you Steph. I'm not going to push you into something you're not ready for" Paul replied setting his stuff back down. "I love you and I want to marry you. That's all that matters and I can wait if you want a big wedding."

"Did you two go to that chapel Stephanie? You still haven't answered me."

"Yeah" Stephanie admitted with a sigh.

"Fuck. What were you thinking?"

"Shane I really don't need this from you. I'm already going to get shit when mom finds out and I don't even want to know what dad is going to do."

"I'm not trying to give you shit but fuck when dad finds out this isn't going to be good for him or you. You should have probably planned it out better. When were you going to tell us?"

"I don't know. I just wanted to enjoy martial bliss before people tried to ruin it for me" Stephanie replied resting her head against Paul's. "Listen I've got to go. I'll call you back."

"How did he find out?" Paul asked as Stephanie hung up the phone.

"Apparently we're all that wrestling sites are talking about. We were caught coming out of the wedding chapel."

"Fuck" Paul sighed and took the phone from her. "I have to call my mom and unfortunately tell her over the phone because I want her to hear it from me first. Do you want to call your parents first?"

"No" Stephanie shook her head. "I don't think I'm going to call them and tell them anything."

"Steph I love you and I'll support you no matter what but I think you should call them and tell them especially since your dad's heart attack."

"But all that's going to happen is them ruining my happiness."

"I know baby. You can do whatever you want though."

"Fine" Stephanie huffed. "I'll call them after you tell your parents."

"Okay" Paul replied kissing her before he dialed his parents number. He hoped they wouldn't be to upset but right now he was more focused on how Stephanie was feeling. He really hoped it wouldn't put more strain between her and her parents. But no matter what they had to say it didn't change the fact that he didn't regret their decision.
