Jade slams the door to the apartment and grunts in frustration as she flings off her coat and puts it on the table along with the bags of groceries.
"CAT!"
"Whatty?" Cat replies, slowly sauntering out of her bedroom into the living room.
"It's been 3 freaking days and he still hasn't texted me."
"Hmm..don't boys have rules about waiting to text.." Cat taps her chin in thought but then plops down on the couch, finishing her sentence with "never mind, I don't know."
Jade rolls her eyes as she hears cat start giggling.
"I wouldn't worry, I'm sure he'll text you soon! Or, even better, maybe he'll call!" Cat exclaims. Her enthusiasm, as always didn't do anything to reassure Jade.
"Andre, it's been 3 days, I don't think it looks desperate if I text her now, man," Beck whines to Andre as the two wait in line at a cheap coffee shop.
"It's your decision, I just don't want this girl to get creeped out by you. You may have great hair, but sometimes girls care about personality too," Andre advises him earnestly.
"Ha ha. Whatever, dude, if she doesn't want to go out again, then she'll say no. Buuut, I have a feeling she'll say yes," Beck said, nodding his head confidently.
Andre rolls his eyes and goes up to the counter to order his coffee while Beck does the same. The two grab their coffees and begin walking back to their apartment that was only a block away.
"So, I started talking to this girl that's in my art history class and she is HOT...Okay, well she's pretty goodlooking, but she's also really funny-
"Alright, Andre, how does this sound: 'Hey! Hope you're doing well! Want to hang out tomorrow night?! x'? Does that sound okay to send to Jade? Is it too eager?" Beck looks up from his phone to look at Andre, who wore an unimpressed, stoic expression.
"Were you even listening to my story?" Andre asks.
"Oh, sorry. But, seriously, is that an okay text to send?" Beck stares nervously at his phone. He doesn't want to say the wrong thing and ruin a potentially great relationship.
"How the hell are you able to look nervous yet completely confident at the same time?" Andre questions shaking his head at his naturally cool friend.
"I think the text sounds too eager, not so many exclamation marks and no 'x' at the end. Your relatives might be from England, but you aren't," Andre answers his friend reluctantly. He knows he'll never get to finish telling Beck the story of the girl from his class but, hey, as long as Beck's happy.
"Thanks Andre! Okay...I've just sent it. Now we wait," Beck says and opens the door to their small messy apartment.
"Jade! Your phone just buzzzzed!" Cat yells to Jade, impersonating her cell phone vibration.
"Cat, what did I tell you about making that noise?"
"You said not to," Cat sighs and hangs her head.
"Exactly," Jade replies and walks over to the table to grab her phone.
"Beck texted! He wants to hang out again. YES!" Jade smiles and high-fives Cat in excitement.
"YAAY! I told you he would, heh," Cat said, poking Jade on her side. Jade's glare at Cat made her instantly take her finger away from Jade.
"What're you going to say back?"
"I'm writing back: 'Okay.'" Jade says smiling down at her phone, re-reading Beck's text again.
"That's all you're saying? At least tell him 'Cat says hi!'" Cat suggests.
"Okay, done. What should we do for lunch?" Jade questions, heading to the kitchen.
"Let's have meatballs!"
The Next Night, 9:00 PM
"C'mon Jade! Let me see how ya look!" Cat chimes, sitting on the living room couch waiting for Jade to make her appearance.
Jade enters the room, smiling when she sees Cat's mouth drop.
"You look like one hot mama!" Cat says, shaking her shoulder suggestively.
"Don't call me that," Jade replies bluntly.
"Well, fine, then you just look hot!"
"Well, thank you then," Jade smirks. She put on her black skinny jeans, a navy shirt with a deep V in the front that showed off her boobs nicely, a black leather jacket and short boots with a thin heel. She curled her hair, of course, but it hung in waves more so than curls.
"What time did Beck say he would be picking you up?" Cat asks.
"Right about now, actually. I better get downstairs, I'll see you later Cat!" Jade grabs her bag and catches the elevator in the hall just before it closes.
Jade smiles as she spots Beck standing in the same place as he was last time, right in the middle of the small lobby, close enough to the door so that he was essentially in the way of anyone that would walk into the building.
"Hi, wow you look great," Beck comments, looking her up and down. Jade blushes a bit and Beck can't help but feel even more confident than he already felt. If he could make a girl who seemed to rarely ever smile or have an emotion other than anger, blush then he had quite the power.
"You're not bad yourself," Jade states, checking out Beck's casual outfit of a red-and-black plaid shirt, dark wash, somewhat baggy, jeans and combat boots.
"Alright, you all set to go?" Beck asks and Jade nods in response. The couple leave the building to begin walking down the street.
"So, what have you been up to?" Jade questions, not really caring for the answer but figured she should make small talk.
"Not much...have you, uh, been, uh, seeing other guys lately?" Beck asks sheepishly, he just had to know.
Beck, dude, why would you do this to yourself?! Beck thought to himself, internally shaking his head in shame.
"Nope, have, uh, you?" Jade returned the question, only slightly mocking him with his hesitations.
Beck smiles and says, "Okay, cool. I haven't either."
The two continue to walk down the street, Jade following whatever turns and street-crossing Beck did as Beck still hasn't told her where they are going.
"Alright, we're here!" Beck exclaims, "Told you it wasn't far from your place!"
"You've taken me to a bar as a date?" Jade looks at the somewhat formal, fancy looking bar.
"Hey, this was the cheapest place I could find while still impressing you, in some way. You're lucky we aren't seeing a movie right now, instead...although that may have to be our fifth date..."
Jade laughs at that statement although Beck knows he wasn't joking at all. He's really been splurging on money lately.
Beck is about to lead Jade in when she stops him, "I just want to warn you that we will not end up like that couple from 27 Dresses."
Beck looks at her questioningly and clarifies, "You mean the ones who get really drunk at a bar and start singing 'Benny and the Jets'?"
"Yeah, exactly...Wait, you saw that?!"
"Cat made me watch it once in high school...you don't seem like the type to watch romantic comedies, so I can only assume that Cat made you watch it too?" Beck guessed then laughs when he sees how shocked Jade looks.
"I don't like that you're right about that, but, yes, that was what happened. Don't assume you know anything else about me though, you'll learn everything else in time," Jade narrows her eyes and pulls Beck inside the bar behind her.
10:00 PM
An hour into the date, the bar finally begins to fill up and faster music begins to play.
"Hey, do you want to dance?" Jade asks Beck, leaning her head on his shoulder. She had three shots of vodka and only her balance was being thrown off. Luckily, though, Beck's arm was wrapped around her waist holding her up for support.
"Sure, but I should warn you, I'm a pretty damn good dancer," Beck tells her, taking her hands in his and pulling her out towards the middle of the crowded, high-end bar.
"I bet you are," Jade replies, winking. Beck chuckles and they both begin dancing to whatever fast, upbeat song playing. Beck's hands were all over Jade's body and, he was right, he is a great dancer, according to Jade's standards.
Beck wraps one hand around Jade's lower back and Jade lifts her leg up and almost curls it around Beck's leg. Beck's hand is quick to catch her knee and dips her backwards.
Wow Beck thought to himself. Jade looks incredible. Beck brought her back up towards him and picks her other leg up so they're wrapped around his waist. Jade laughs and looks down at Beck, kissing him slowly.
Beck then puts her down, enjoying that, despite the fact she's wearing heals, she still has to look up to make eye contact, although she is only a few inches shorter.
Jade smiles and looks excitedly at Beck who then spins her around and to grind on him. Jade is not a big fan of this kind of dancing but it was nice to feel Beck's hands tight on her hips.
Jade looks around the bar, noticing that it really is nice and must have cost quite a bit of money to get in. Jade smiles to herself, I think I found a good one...he seems to really like me...
Jade continues to dance on Beck and studying the people around her. However, she stops when she sees a familiar face. Oh shit.
Jade gulps and quickly turns around. She kisses Beck on the cheek and says in a worried, nervous voice, "Can we leave?"
Beck looks at her, puzzled, "Are you sure?"
"Yeah, I'm getting really tired. Is it alright if we just go back to our own places tonight?" Jade questions loudly as she pulls Beck through the crowded bar.
"Um, yeah that's fine," Beck answers, not wanting to make her feel uncomfortable.
The pair went outside and Beck began walking Jade to her apartment.
"Is there a particular reason why you wanted to leave?"
"Nope, no reason," Jade replies, smiling at him. Then why did we leave?! Beck figures he shouldn't intrude too much, girls are just weird sometimes.
Beck and Jade arrive at Jade's building and right before Jade walks inside, Beck pulls her to him and kisses her, hard, on the mouth.
They pull away and Beck holds the door open for Jade.
"This time, don't wait three days," Jade smirks and walks inside. Beck waves bye and begins his walk home.
11:30 PM
Beck finally gets home after the half hour walk to Andre sitting on their ratty old found-it-on-the-street couch watching a movie on his laptop.
"So I'm assuming you had a productive Saturday night?" Beck asks, jokingly.
"I'm almost all the way through 'Titanic', did you know the boat sinks, man?! So sad." Andre replies, fake crying.
Beck laughs and shakes his head at his friend.
"How was your night? I guess you didn't get anything done either, huh?" Andre questioned in a teasing manner.
"Unfortunately no, but I had a pretty good time, regardless. It was weird though because she randomly wanted to leave at like 10:30 when the party was just starting. But, I don't know, she didn't tell me why," Beck said, still very curious. Andre shrugs his shoulders and put his laptop down, standing up and grabbing food from the fridge.
"Oh, by the way," Andre chimed from the kitchen, "Robbie's coming to visit next weekend, so maybe we should have a little party here or something."
Beck thought for a minute as he sat down on the couch.
"Yeah, that's cool."
"We can invite Cat and Jade, too," Andre said, sitting next to Beck on the couch.
"Now that's very cool," Beck replied, nodding his head happily.
"Okay you look creepy, man. Stop that."
Beck laughed and ran his hands through his hair.
"Alright, so let's play this movie!"
Beck takes Andre's laptop and places it on their coffee table, starting from the scene where Jack lets go.
A/N: Sam and Cat tonight! Wish there was more cade, cabbie & bade. :/ at least we got to see Jade again though! and robbie! hopefully there will be another episode that's better/more victorious-like!
So when I wrote about beck & jade dancing & wrote about the dip (yes, I was referring to the infamous elavan dip during the filming of Tori Fixes Beck & Jade, of course), I originally/accidentally wrote Avan and Liz's names there instead of beck & jade, I only noticed that when I went back to edit it haha, my bad :)
Hope this chapter was okay, next chapter definitely coming soon! :)
