Disclaimer: Yeah, I don't own Jade West or Beck Oliver or any other characters. Whateva.
A/N: I just want to begin by saying, THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR COMMENTING SUCH NICE THINGS :D you don't understand how much this means to me! When I posted this story as a one shot last year I was pretty sure no one would even read it considering it seemed outlandish compared to the many other bade fanfics I've read. I really do appreciate how much you guys are enjoying it! As always, your comments and criticisms are very much encouraged!
I hope I won't disappoint. Anyway, here's the next chapter...
"How about this outfit?" Cat asks as she walks into Jade's room for the 5th time. This time she was donning a white quarter sleeve dress with pink flowers and light pink pointy-toe heels.
Jade laughs lightly at her phone while Cat taps her foot waiting for an answer.
"Ugh, Jade! Come on! I really need your help! This will be the first time I'm seeing Robbie since last winter!"
"Yeah..yeah, you look fine," Jade mumbles, waving her hand in a nonchalant manner towards Cat, her eyes never leaving the screen of her phone.
Jade laughs, again, at whatever the hell Beck is texting her now.
Cat pouts angrily, fed up with her friend. Stomping over to Jade, Cat plucks the phone out of her hand and sticks it down the front of her dress.
"Cat, what the hell?" Jade exclaims.
"Help me!" Cat tells her in a growl.
"Alright, alright.." Jade rolls her eyes and checks out Cat's outfit.
"First off, it's winter. This is a season for dark colors, not pink and white. Secondly, that dress makes you look like you're 10."
"B-but I wore this in high school..."
Jade gives Cat a look that says "exactly my point." Cat sighs and nods her head in understanding.
"Try your white long-sleeved shirt with the black flowery-like collar and your short black flowy skirt*...with black sheer tights & your black closed-toe heels." Jade listed off, figuring the white shirt would make Cat happy, since she usually preferred to wear lighter colors.
Cat's eyes widen in excitement at the suggestion.
"YES! I love it!" Cat runs and jumps onto Jade's bed to give her a hug & to hand back her phone.
"Okay, okay! That's enough! Now get dressed!" Jade pushes Cat off and goes back to texting Beck.
"What're you gonna wear?" Cat asks, smiling happily.
"Black."
Cat giggles, accepting the answer and skips to her room to change into the outfit Jade said to wear.
2:45 PM
"Knockity-knock-knock!"
Beck looks over at Andre from the couch as Andre sets up a poker table on top of their kitchen table when they hear somebody knocking.
"Well, I guess Robbie's here," Andre sighs and walks over to open the door.
"Hey there!" Robbie says smiling and walking past Andre into the small apartment with a suitcase.
"Hey Rob!" Beck says. The guys smiled at each other and went in for the typical bro hug.
"So, how was the trip over?" Andre asks, taking Robbie's bag and storing it in his room for the afternoon.
"It was good, pretty uneventful," Robbie answers as he plops down on the couch.
"You still like Chapman University? It sucks that you're all the way out in California." Beck continues to take out bowls to pour out the chips and pretzels.
"Well, I'm not sure...I don't know if I'll stay-
"Oh, I forgot to tell you! Cat and her roommate are coming over soon," Andre interrupts as he walks back into the living room, taking a seat next to Robbie.
"Cat's coming over?" Robbie's eyes widen in fear.
"Dude, don't look so nervous," Andre says, patting Robbie on the arm in a comforting manner. "Remember what we talked about?"
Robbie sits up straighter and deepens his voice as he says, "I'm not nervous."
Andre laughs and replies, "Really, don't worry. Cat's really excited to see you. She told me she misses you."
Robbie smiles and nods, clearly comforted. "Thanks, Andre."
3:00 PM
"Are you sure this building doesn't have an elevator, Cat?" Jade asks, becoming slightly tired after climbing yet another flight of stairs while also trying to keep up with Cat's fast pace.
"I don't know," Cat giggles, "I always make the boys take the stairs since they don't exercise anymore. I take the stairs because I like to move." Cat turns around and smiles at Jade who was three steps behind her.
"But come on! I'm going to see Robbie!" Cat exclaims while flailing her arms and moving on to the next flight.
Jade takes a deep breath before yelling at Cat, something her therapist had recently taught her.
"I'm coming, Cat," Jade sighs and climbs the rest of the steps until she and Cat were standing outside Beck and Andre's door.
"Knocking!" Cat chimes as she knocks on the door.
"Hey guys!" Beck says as he opens the door. He leans down to hug Cat before she walks in but hesitates when he sees Jade.
Are we close enough to hug? Is hugging more of a "friend" thing? Beck wonders for a second before deciding that it was something good friends would do, and instead brings his hand to rest on the small of her back to lead her inside.
Jade kisses Beck on the cheek and gives him a closed mouth smile. I guess I did something right, Beck thinks happily.
"I'll introduce you to everybody," Beck says and gestures to his friend, "This is Andre. Andre, this is Jade."
Andre reaches his hand out for Jade to shake and she, reluctantly, shook it.
"I think we met at that club the other night." Andre struggles to recall if they did or not.
"Yeah, I think so," Jade agrees.
Andre continues on, ignoring Jade's comment and saying, "Oh, and Beck, you're right. She is hot!"
Andre chuckles and nudges Beck's chest jokingly.
"Ha. Ha. Okay...moving on," Beck says sarcastically, a little embarrassed by Andre's comment. He led Jade over to Robbie, who was now sitting on the couch quietly talking to Cat.
"Robbie, this is Jad-
"No!" Cat shoots up, "I want to introduce her to Robbie."
"Alright.." Beck replies, backing away from Cat while she smiles at her friends.
"Jade, this is Robbie. Robbie, this is my best friend, Jade."
"Nice to meet ya!" Robbie reaches over the couch and holds his arms out, about to hug Jade.
"I don't like that," Jade steps away in response.
Cat smiles at Jade's reaction, twirling a piece of her hair around her finger and clarifies, "She doesn't like that."
"Who doesn't like hugs?" Robbie asks, confused.
"Jade doesn't like a lot of things, right Jade?" Cat and Robbie turn to look at Jade for confirmation.
Jade nods at them with a stoic expression while Beck makes a mental note concerning Jade and hugs.
Cat giggles and wraps her arms around Robbie's waist.
"You guys...Robbie's HERE!" Cat says excitedly as she turns to face the rest of the group.
Robbie grins sheepishly before letting out a weak, "Woohoo!"
Jade rolls her eyes and sits down in an old brown arm chair next to the couch.
Beck and Andre move to grab the snack bowls and soda cans to place them on the coffee table for the gang to pick at.
Jade studies the apartment, surveying every detail to make sure Beck wasn't secretly a weirdo. However, her eyes keep straying to Beck. She admires the way his brown eyes seem to have a natural gleam in them that stood out from his tan skin, especially when he smiles and they scrunch up. She likes that his arm muscles were toned enough to be visible through his long sleeved shirt. Jade's glad Beck doesn't have those huge arms like the guys that go to the gym five times a day. She figures that with her strength she could take Beck and his slim body down, if need be.
Robbie says something funny, a joke they had in high school, that makes Beck suddenly start laughing hysterically and clutch his stomach. Jade's eyes scan his torso, noticing that his abs are just as visible as his arms in the tight charcoal gray shirt he's wearing. She's brought back to the night they first met, when they were at her apartment...Beck's arms holding her to him tightly...when he kissed from her neck to her collarbone and down...
That's it. We have to have sex again, Jade decides, internally.
Beck, Andre, Robbie and Cat's laughter dies down and they move on to talk about the more recent things happening in their lives. This is when Beck feels a pair of eyes on him. Beck locks eyes with Jade, giving her a smile. Jade looks flustered for a moment before she gives a small smile back.
"SO, are we going to play cards?" Jade asks loudly, interrupting the group conversation as she stands up from the chair.
"Um, yeah...do you want to play now?" Andre replies reluctantly. He had just started to tell his friends about the girl he was seeing before Jade interrupted. Maybe next time, kid, Andre consoles himself.
"Yeah, lets play some cards," Jade states with a devious smile.
3:30 PM
The group walk over to the table and take a seat in the folding chairs surrounding it. Robbie, like a gentleman, pulls out Cat's chair for her, making Cat smile widely.
"Thank you, Robbie," Cat tells him when he takes the seat next to her. She taps him lightly on the nose, making him blush and smile back at her.
Jade quietly takes a seat next to Beck, with Cat on her other side.
"Lets play some poker!" Beck cheers, picking up the deck, shuffling it, then dealing them out.
Five minutes later, Beck's phone chimes.
"I'll be right back..." Beck mumbles, placing his hand down and getting his phone from his room. Beck turns it on to see a text from Jade: You look fucking hot in that shirt...
Beck grins and texts her back before joining the game again.
Jade's phone vibrates in her lap, signifying she has a text. Looking down at it, she sees it's from Beck: I'm actually quite cold in this shirt, thanks for the concern though!
Jade rolls her eyes and hopes that he was joking. A second or two later Jade gets another text from him: Kidding! Thanks. You look quite sexy, yourself. ;)
Beck looks at Jade's face to see how she would react to his text. Jade, however, keeps her face expressionless as she puts her phone back down on her lap.
Beck's phone lights up a few seconds later with a new message from Jade: Good to know...
Beck is confused by her response, expecting a "thank you" if anything.
Sighing, Beck puts his concentration back into the poker game. This doesn't last very long, though, when a hand suddenly squeezes his knee underneath the table, causing him to jump.
"You okay, Beck?" Robbie asks.
"Yeah, I'm fine. I thought I felt a, uh, bug crawl up my leg, but it's nothing," Beck replies.
Jade smirks slightly, saying nothing.
Two minutes later, Beck feels Jade's fingers (well, he hopes their Jade's, or else he and Andre need to talk after this game) slowly crawling up his thigh, stopping at a spot right before his crotch.
Beck looks over at Jade who gives, what Beck can only describe as, a sexy smile as she slowly works her fingers up to cup his crotch.
Beck's eyes widen at such a brass move. Jade simply winks at him and moves her hand away from his lap.
Beck's phone lights up again with yet another message from Jade: Lets go to my place.
Excited, Beck stands up quickly, practically tripping over his chair. Jade, on the other hand, takes her time standing up.
"Beck and I are going to pick up my laundry from the cleaners. We'll meet you guys for dinner later," Jade says, speaking to the confused expressions that Cat, Andre and Robbie donned in response to her and Beck's abruptness.
"Yeah. We'll see you guys later," Beck reiterates. The second Jade turns around to open the door Andre and Beck highfive like they were 13 year olds.
"Get it, Beck!" Andre cheers as Beck and Jade walked out the door. Jade simply rolls her eyes at Beck and Andre's immaturity.
Jade and Beck scurry down the many flights of stairs until they make it to the lobby.
Beck takes Jade's hand and leads her to the subway station at the end of his block. The two share knowing smirks every few minutes as they sit on the train. The subway eventually reaches Jade's stop and they get off, walking quickly down the cold street to Jade's building and then jumping into the elevator.
They're both slightly out of breath from the cold air they were breathing in and the fast pace at which they were walking.
"This is quite bold of you," Beck realizes, smiling.
"Yeaaahh," Jade replies, stretching the word out. Beck wasn't sure if she meant it in a sarcastic way or if she was just agreeing with him. Regardless, he didn't care by this point, he was getting excited to see Jade naked again.
4:00 PM
Jade closes the door to her apartment and turns around to feel Beck immediately snake his arms around her torso, leaning down to kiss her lips.
"What time are we meeting them for dinner?" Beck asks, pulling away.
"7:00 and it's only 4:00 now," Jade answers smiling at Beck. Beck is momentarily stunned by how beautiful Jade is, which, he's come to realize, is something that happens quite often.
Beck smiles back and leans in to kiss her again. The kiss is slow and soft. Jade finds herself bringing more passion into it, throwing her arms around Beck's neck and bringing him closer to her.
This time things don't feel urgent, rather, they feel more...intense. Jade ignores the fears that begin to rise in her head about whether or not this is a good idea and, instead, just let Beck take her.
Beck's hands went to Jade's thighs as he lifts her up effortlessly. Jade wraps her legs around his waist, making her taller than him. Beck walks them to Jade's bed and lays her down, lips still attached. Jade shifts so she was on top of him, straddling. Beck begins slowly kissing down her neck as Jade finds the hem of his shirt. She pulls it and Beck obliged. He sits up letting Jade take it off him. Beck smirks when he saw Jade look down and begin stroking his abs.
"Your turn," he says quietly and lifts Jade's shirt off with one hand while the other hand was brought to the arch of her back, flipping them so that he was now on top. Beck studies Jade's naked torso with admiration. He undid the button on her jeans and pushed them down to her ankles, his hands now resting on her thighs.
Beck's hands move up her body, pushing himself to be on his hands and knees hovering over her body.
Jade places her hands on either side of Beck's face, making him look at her.
Beck smiles and says, "You're beautiful."
Jade pulls his face to hers, giving him a kiss before unhooking her bra and placing Beck's hands on her breasts.
"We're going too slow," Jade replies. Beck immediately begins to work down Jade's body, kissing, caressing and squeezing all the while Jade's hands tugged Beck's hair, pulling harder when he dipped his fingers in.
"Now it's your turn," Jade says, coming down from the pleasure Beck just gave her.
Jade flings off Beck's pants and boxers, splaying her hands across Beck's phenomenal abs as she goes down on him...
6:00 PM
Jade traces Beck's abs with her fingers, while Beck's arm laid lazily over Jade's waist.
"So, you really don't like hugs?" Beck asks after a few minutes of silence.
"It depends who gives them," Jade answers, hesitating before continuing, "I...I like your hugs."
Beck smiles hugely, "I like you."
"I like you too," Jade smirks at him.
"So..." Beck pauses and begins tracing circles on Jade's arm, "So, um, why did you want to leave early from our last date?"
Jade's face flashes from a grimace to a stoic expression that make it impossible for Beck to read her emotions.
"I saw someone I didn't want to see."
"Well, who did you see? An ex-boyfriend or something?"
Jade glares at Beck. "If you want to know more, you'll just have to stick around. I'm not going to go off and tell you my life story."
Beck thinks about it for a second then apologizes.
"I get it," he adds.
Jade's heart sunk. Yep, you lost him, Jade. She hates how much this thought scared her.
"Whatever. You can leave," Jade tells him, sitting up and putting her hands on her hips.
"I thought we were going to hang out before meeting the guys for dinner? I wanted to stay longer," Beck saya, confused by Jade's sudden hostility.
"Oh, so you want to keep seeing me?" Jade asks, in an accusing tone.
Beck hesitates, "Yeah...if it's alright, I'd love to keep seeing you." Beck sounds a bit unsure at the start but strengthened by the end of it.
Jade disregards the L word and replies, "Good. We should get dressed and get a cab now to meet them at the restaurant."
"Just one more thing," Beck says, leaning forward to kiss Jade.
Jade pulls away and smiles slightly as she reiterates, "I said let's go!"
Beck doesn't know what to make of Jade's random spurts of anger, but he was sure he'd figure out why they happened soon enough. He watches as Jade puts her jeans back on and found his lips turning upward...she's definitely worth the wait.
6:30 PM
Beck plays with one of Jade's hands until the cab stops outside the restaurant.
Before Beck can do anything, Jade quickly swipes her credit card to pay for the ride.
Beck opens his mouth about to say that he was going to pay.
"Don't worry," Jade smirks, "I'll pay this time...that way we can have an awesome date next time."
Beck rolls his eyes at the insult while Jade gave him a wink.
Beck opens the door, letting him and Jade out of the cab, grabbing her hand as she gets out.
