Previously: Jade arrives, drunk, to Beck's apartment the night before. Cat has gone to Robbie's apartment (but everything that went on there will be discussed in a later chapter).

Beck lightly nudges Jade to get his arm out from under her sleeping figure. Despite his careful movements the old couch was too small and Jade woke up from his shifting.

"Ugh," Jade groans, rubbing her eyes.

"Hey," said Beck tentatively.

Jade shoots up wearing a shocked and confused expression. She looks around to take in her surroundings, slowly realizing she's in Beck's apartment. She suddenly gives Beck a harsh glare before last night's events make their way back to her.

"Hi," said Jade, not sure where she should begin.

"Hi," Beck gives her a crooked smile.

"I'm sorry about last night," Jade spoke earnestly. Beck shakes his head.

"How are you feeling? I'll get you some water," Beck swings over the back of the couch to the kitchen.

"I'm feeling okay. I don't get hangovers," said Jade. From what Beck knows about Jade, this doesn't surprise him. He has a feeling that even if she did have a hangover she wouldn't admit it.

"Good," said Beck, returning to the room with a glass of water.

"Thanks," said Jade. Jade looks up at Beck and notices that he seems quite amused.

Suspicious, she asks, "What's so funny?"

Beck smiles,"You've just got a bit of bed head." Jade groans.

"I need to shower" said Jade, placing her glass on the coffee table to stand and stretch. "Dude, your couch is ridiculously uncomfortable."

"Thanks!" said Beck, sarcastically. His humor dissipates when he sees Jade putting her shoes back on.

"Hey, wait! Where are you going?"

"Home. So I can shower," Jade rolls her eyes and continues putting on her shoes.

"No! Don't leave," Beck says, the words leaving his mouth before he can think. "You can shower here."

"Really?"

"Yeah, in fact, why don't we spend the day here?" asked Beck, a smile forming. Jade pauses as she thinks his offer over.

"We've been seeing each other a lot lately...you sure you want to spend more time together?" asked Jade in a dubious tone.

Beck doesn't hesitate before responding, "Well, I'd like to hang out with you more." Jade grins and takes her shoes off.

"Get us some coffee and breakfast," Jade orders before happily heading for the bathroom. Beck chuckles at her demands while also noting that he's never heard her voice have such a positive inflection. Thinking it over, he finds it strange that he genuinely wants to spend time with her to talk, not just have sex. Beck smiles, suddenly forming a plan to learn as much as he can about her.

Nodding at his decision, he slides his coat on to go out to pick up coffee and breakfast.

Jade gets out of the shower, reaching for the towel closest to her. She wraps it around herself, noticing that it has the Hollywood Arts logo. How many different types of merchandise does this school sell?! Jade thinks back to Cat's closet which holds about 10 different HW Arts shirts and PJ shorts.

"Beck?" Jade calls out, stepping out of the bathroom and walking over to the small living room.

"Whoa!" Andre jumps in his chair at the kitchen table, wearing a tank top and Scooby Doo boxers. His eyes look wide with surprise at seeing Jade in his apartment, in a towel.

"Oh calm down, Andre." said Jade, dryly. "Where's Beck? Apparently we're spending the day in this...lovely apartment."

"Hey! Our apartment is lovely!" Andre protested Jade's sarcasm, "And aw man! I wish he'd told me first so I could make plans..." Andre sighs, puts his bowl of cereal in the sink and walks to his room.

Jade shivers and decides it's time to put clothes on. Smirking deviously, Jade turns from the living room and into Beck's room to scavenge his drawers. She pulls out a hockey jersey, throws it on and walks back out to sit on the couch again.

"Seeya later Jade," Andre says 10 minutes later as he walks through the living room, this time in jeans and a white t-shirt.

"You made plans?" asked Jade, her elbows propped up on the back of the couch. She watches as Andre puts on a faded brown leather jacket.

Andre pauses then looks at the ground as he replies, "Nope. No plans, um, just taking a walk." Jade squints, studying Andre's odd reaction.

"I'd rather be out of your way anyway," Andre continues, acting normal again, "You're the first girl Beck's gone out with for more than one date in months."

Jade's eyebrows knit together in surprise. Andre smiles, "Seriously, he's really into you." He holds his hand out for a fist-pound. Jade's mouth lifts into a thin smile and pounds his fist.

"Have fun," said Andre, checking his hair in the small mirror hung next to the door before leaving the apartment.

Andre's a cool guy, Jade thinks. No wonder he and Beck are roommates. Jade smiles, thinking about Beck's cool attitude...his cool hair...his smile...

"Hey, you're out of the shower!" Jade jumps slightly, startled at Beck's entrance.

"If I was still in the shower I'd be a prune," replied Jade. Beck places the coffee cups on the table along with a paper bag. Jade walks over, taking one of the cups before sitting down at the table.

"So, what are we having for breakfast?" asked Jade.

"Bagels," Beck answered, grabbing paper plates from the cupboard and returning to the table.

"Ugh, you mean bread in the shape of a circle with a whole in the middle?"

"What? You don't like bagels?" Beck freezes with his hand in the bag.

"No, of course not. I love bagels," said Jade.

"But you just sounded like-

"Did you see Andre on the way up?" Jade interrupted.

"Uh, yeah I did. So, you do like bagels?" Beck asked again.

"Did you think he was acting weird?"

"Uh, no. He looked like he was in a hurry. He didn't tell me where he was going though..." Beck's voice trailed off.

"Yeah, I do like bagels."

"Wha-? Oh, good. Glad I got them then." Beck smiled, still feeling weird about Andre going off and not telling him where he was going. He shook off the notion a moment later and put out butter and cream cheese for the two of them. He was ready to spend the rest of the day talking about Jade.
