Timeline: Two weeks until spring semester begins

Current state of characters:

Jade: "Why is Beck worried about Tori hanging out with Andre?"

Beck: (text to Jade) Want to get coffee later?

Cat: "I'm going to ask Robbie to be my boyfriend."

Andre: Tori gets him a gig working with a music producer at a professional music studio

Two days have gone by since Beck texted about coffee.

Two days since Jade replied "I'm busy."

One day since Beck texted, "Hey!"

Here she is. The third day. She knows the ball is in her court, if she doesn't say anything today, she may not hear from him again.

She isn't intentionally ghosting him. It's more of a way to protect her feelings and pride if he decides he isn't interested. Of course Beck doesn't know this. So she's left him in the dark...and free to think about his ex girlfriend all he wants.

Jade turns her face to groan into her pillow, before bringing the phone back to her ear.

"You're doing it again."

"I am not."

"Who cares if he might like his ex? I'm sure you can change his mind."

Jade pauses before replying. Suddenly unsure if calling Sabrina, her friend since they were 5 years old, would be helpful in this situation.

If people thought Jade was cold, they should meet Sabrina. While Cat made Jade slightly softer, Sabrina's intense, harsh demeanor was still fully intact since high school. If anything, studying business with a minor in law at Cornell University only strengthened her seemingly emotionless, fiercely competitive attitude.

Finally, Jade takes a deep breath and quietly states, "I don't want to...get hurt."

She squeezes her eyes shut, wishing she hadn't said anything, and anxious for her response.

"Dude. Seriously. Man up!"

Yep. That tracks.

"You know what? Send me a picture of this gank."

Jade rolls her eyes, "Fine." Looking through the recent searches on her phone, she finally finds the girl's "Slap" profile. Whatever that means.

"Sent."

"That's the girl you're worried about?" Sabrina asks in disgust a moment later. She marks the question with a scoff.

"Yeah," Jade replies, emotionless.

She knows no matter what Sabrina says- which is sure to be a slew of scathing remarks- will not take away Jade's concern, just as it won't change the girl's face from being cute, with her cheekbones and bright smile. Jade rarely wears a smile and no one has ever deemed her as "cute." Tori's tall slim body doesn't help either.

Jade despised her insecurities, choosing to keep them hidden in the darkest corner of her mind and internally stomping on any thought that makes her feel weak or tears down her confidence. This boy is really testing her.

"One glance at this girl and I can tell you are infinitely more interesting than her." Sabrina's words surprise Jade.

"Getting a bit kinder on your judgements, huh?"

"Let me see a picture of this guy again," Sabrina orders impatiently. She sends her his profile, not sure how it will help anything.

"Oh. Yeahhhh," Sabrina drawls. Then continues, her tone suddenly serious, "He doesn't care about this chick."

"What? You don't even know him."

Sabrina groans dramatically. "Haven't you looked through his pictures?"

"Yeah, obviously," Jade rolls her eyes. "Who doesn't thoroughly research the guy they slept with?" She speaks with her usual sarcastic tone. But she swallows hard on her end and rephrases the question in her mind: Who doesn't research, the guy they went on a few dates with...the guy who they may or may not like...the guy who asked her to be his girlfriend...

"Apart from the fact he and this girl look like literal twins. Check out his hair, his style, and- Dude! His page says he likes goddamn punk rock music! And are those combat boots I see?" Sabrina gets more excited by the second, "He's so into you, you don't even know."

Not a second passes before, "Don't you fucking roll your eyes at me." Sabrina commands even though she can't see Jade's face. Of course Jade just rolls her eyes again.

"You don't even know him," Jade repeats pointedly. She struggles to maintain her composure and repress her anger, all the while wishing her friend's words were true.

"See him again. Go get coffee, drinks, I don't give a fuck. I bet you- no, I guarantee he doesn't give a shit about his ex."

Jade never mentioned that Beck asked her to be his girlfriend, out of concern her friend would drive all the way to the city and punch her in the face for even having this conversation.

"Seriously," she adds for emphasis.

"Fine. Fine. Whatever. I'll do it." Jade returns to the monotonous tone she uses when she's clearly over something.

Sabrina snickers, then composes herself and speaks in a sincere, calming voice.

"It's tough but, you know, just try to remember to be mentally unstable, and make all the wrong choices. Suppress all emotion, keep him at bay, and whatever you do, do NOT smile," Jade can hear the smirk in her voice, "I really think you'll be great at this. Truly."

She tunes her friend out as she continues to describe "Jade's default attitude" and actions whenever it comes to guys and relationships. Although Sabrina knows how badly her last relationship ended, she doesn't want Jade to treat the experience as an excuse. "Grow from it, jackass. Move on," were her exact words at the time.

Jade rolls her eyes, annoyed.

After a silent beat, she sighs, "Asshole."

Sabrina is quick to respond. "Cun-"

Jade cuts her off, saying sweetly, "Bye, Sabrina. See you never, maybe talk soon."

"Bye," Sabrina says flatly and ends the call.

While she wasn't totally helpful, her words did make Jade feel slightly hopeful. Something she doesn't necessarily enjoy, but it's better than feeling miserable.

She looks at Beck's profile again, this time checking out his likes and dislikes. She's pleasantly surprised when she sees he's following some bands she likes, then continues scrolling. One picture makes her pause. She can't help the small smile that graces her lips. It's a photo of Beck, holding a baby bunny, with the caption, This animal just took a shit in my hand.

She bites her lip and finally relents.

Fine.

Putting her fears (Jade shutters at the word) and pride aside, she texts:

Jade (1:00pm): Still up for coffee?

Beck stares at the ceiling, lying in his bed, over the covers, with his hands behind his head. Fully dressed in jeans and a t-shirt, and thinking about the whirlwind of this past week.

He hasn't heard any updates or seen any signs that Andre is indeed hanging out with Tori. Honestly, by this point, he's using it more as a distraction from Jade and her sudden disinterest in him.

Questions kept swirling around his head: Did I freak her out by asking her to be my girlfriend? Was it too soon? Of course a replay of the scene accompanies these thoughts, ending with her answer, "I'll let you know." He's not even sure what that means, but with her silence he's kind of figuring it out.

Groaning, he flips himself over onto his stomach and lands with his face pressing against his pillow. His arms flop to his sides.

Finally deciding to not feel like a sad sack, he sits up and plays with the idea of texting that cute blonde he slept with last semester. When he grabs his phone on the nightstand he immediately realizes the problem with that plan: he has no idea what her name is. As embarrassing as it may be, since he started sleeping around, a good amount of his text messages are just phone numbers with no names attached or added to his contacts.

Another groan and he gets out of bed and heads to the kitchen, plugging in his phone to charge at a wire they have in the living room, then places it gingerly on the arm of the couch so it doesn't fall off.

He sits down at the table with a bowl of cereal where his thoughts once again return to Jade. He usually fantasizes about her body and her back arching when he made her cum, but as of today his thoughts shift to her eyes. Staring up at him in bed. Looking down at him when she straddled him on the couch. And how they light up when he got her to smile, something he noticed she does not do very often. He likes the idea of a challenge to make her smile more.

He drops his spoon in the empty bowl with force and picks it up to put in the sink. As he leans against the sink he hears his phone ding and then crash on the floor.

"Ugh," Beck grumbles as he drags his feet.

"YES!" He says out loud when he reads the screen, then immediately looks around the empty apartment hoping no one heard him. He takes a breath and waits a minute to respond (can't be too eager...even though it's been three days).

Beck (1:01pm): Hell yeah.

Jade's small smile turns into a satisfied smirk when he sends another message right after saying a time and a place. Sabrina may have been right.

Jade (1:05pm): I admire your forwardness.

Beck (1:06pm): I had a feeling.

Jade (1:06pm): I'll be there.

She jumps up from her bed, already knowing what outfit to put on.

Beck sees her walk in and she's even prettier than he remembers. Despite the cold, she still wears a short skirt and tights. Not that he's complaining. When she sits down he also realizes her sweater is slightly see-through. He averts his gaze, knowing she'd call him out for staring at her chest.

"Hello there," Beck says cooly.

"Do I know you?" Jade replies with a playful smirk.

"I don't know. I kind of forgot what you look like it's been so long," he teases, immediately causing Jade to roll her eyes.

"Oh, you didn't forget," her smirk grows as she raises an eyebrow and catches him looking down again.

Beck ignores the comment and places his hand on the table. To his surprise, Jade immediately puts her hand over his, allowing him to intertwine their fingers.

"A reminder is always nice," his mouth turns up into a crooked smile.

Jade's stomach drops slightly and an image of them together flashes through her mind.

"Let's not get ahead of ourselves."

"Very true. So, what have you been up to?" Beck doesn't want to bring up the two day freeze out, since it was only two days...especially since they're not actually together together.

She looks at his warm brown eyes and decides to go for it.

"Honestly, I've been debating whether or not to text you." She saw a brief twinge of hurt in his face but he quickly transforms it into an unreadable, blank look.

"I sort of," with a sigh, "I didn't really know what to do because I think I like you more than I should." But she adds with a warning, "But don't let that get to your head."

Relief floods through him and he nods slowly, processing her words.

"I get it." Now it's Jade's turn for relief. "I feel like- I'm, I'm surprised that I'm falling for you this fast." Jade's face slips into her trademark glare. Instead of panicking as most people do, Beck lets out a light chuckle.

"Well if you're going to give me that look, I guess I'll rephrase. I wasn't surprised to have fallen for you, I just didn't imagine it would happen so quickly."

Jade smirked happily, then looked down at the laminated menu on the table to hide it. If the guy wasn't so hot, she would have been disappointed at his lack of response. He wasn't supposed to react like that. What was the point of throwing him her glare if it didn't make him nervous? That's the whole point of her game.

"Moving on. What would you like?" Beck looked down at her. She didn't even realize he stood up from the table.

"Black with two sugars," she says. Then with a smirk, "You'll have to remember that on your own if we start hanging out."

His face breaks out into a full smile, ignoring the "hang out" part. "Noted." As he walks away he turns to see her trying to hide a smile behind her hand.

"Hey!" Beck comes face to face with a large man.

"Oof, sorry," he grimaces, almost banging into him.

"Watch it, kid," the guy spoke loud enough that it made some heads turn. Including Jade's.

She chuckled to herself, watching him apologize and then try to squeeze his way around him with a look of worry, before finally getting to the back of the line. Taking a breath, he ran his hand through his hair. When he looks up his eyes meet Jade's. While still clearly laughing at him she mouths the word "Smooth."

Beck shakes his head, and pretends to cough to cover his mouth and discreetly give her the middle finger. In response, Jade put her hand to her chest and feigned an innocent gasp, as though offended by such a brash move. He smirks and looks at the menu behind the counter. He likes this feeling of freedom- not having to worry if his joke went too far.

When she turns around, she takes her phone out to text Sabrina: You were right. I think.

Just as she goes to send it, Beck comes back with the coffees and sits down wearing a smile. Strangely, she can't help but smile back.

She quickly looks down, wipes the smile off her face, then edits her message to say, You were right.

2:00pm

Cat gasps.

"Robbie! Give me the remote back," she whines, climbing over him to try and grab it from his hand.

"Oh no you don't," Robbie laughs, leaning farther back on the bed and raising the remote up higher. Cat huffs and continues to climb over him, eventually ending up with her legs straddling his thighs and her chest only a few inches from his face. With the brief distraction of Cat's cleavage, she jumps slightly and grabs the remote from his grip. She then hops down and rolls off of him onto the other side of the king sized bed. Accidentally kicking him in the groin with her foot in the process.

Robbie lets out a squeak of pain.

"You okay?" Cat asks, her eyebrows knitting together in concern.

"All good," Robbie struggles to whisper, then gives her a thumbs up. With this affirmation she smiles and changes the channel back to the CW for a Gossip Girl marathon.

Finally feeling better, after several deep breaths, Robbie shifts closer to the middle of the bed. Not too close, but enough that it didn't feel like they were miles apart.

"Hey Robbie, can we order room service?" Cat turns her gaze to him. With her doe eyes and dimpled smile, he always has trouble telling her no.

"Sure," Robbie's voice turns upbeat and he jumps off the bed to grab the menu from the set of drawers under the TV, then jumps back and flops on his stomach to hand it to her.

"So, how long are you staying here, again?" Cat asks absentmindedly as she flips through the thick spiral bound menu.

"It depends, I only just started working on the show, and I'm only an assistant. They only set me up in this hotel for now because my cousin asked them to."

Robbie graduated early from film school. When he told his cousin, currently playing the male lead in Wicked, that he's interested in props and set design, he was able to pull some strings and get him a spot in the props department. So far he's only worked in the early afternoon, his shift ending before the actual performance. He has a full first week ahead of him, culminating on Friday when he will be working the entire performance.

Cat nods then looks up, "Macaroni and cheese and the red velvet cupcake." Robbie chuckles to himself and springs off the bed to place the order.

Cat pats the spot next to her on the bed for Robbie to join her.

"Thanks, Robbie," she says sincerely and eyes him up and down. He can't tell what she's thinking when her eyelashes flutter up and her eyes meet his.

"Anytime, Caterina Valentine," Robbie breaks his stare and looks at the tv.

Cat giggles to herself and mumbles, "My full name." He smiles at her.

Not able to hold back any longer, he places his arm around Cat's shoulders and, as a pleasant surprise, Cat snuggles into him and wraps an arm around his torso.

"So, who are these fine looking people?" Cat giggles again and, just like she does when she tells stories about her brother, explains the whole show in depth, with an excessive amount of unnecessary details.

When he looks back at the tv a sensual scene begins to play out.

"When did you start watching this?" Robbie's voice hinges on horrified. He can't imagine his innocent Cat watching something like this...not his innocent Cat, but whatever. Regardless, there is no way she watched this in high school.

"Jade got me into it!" Cat's head popped up happily as she spoke.

"So you're really happy with your roommate?"

"Jadey's my best friend," Cat answers, more subdue than before but Robbie can hear the smile and slight adoration tone in her voice.

"I'm glad," Robbie squeezes his arm around Cat a little tighter, causing her to snuggle further into him.

After two episodes Cat falls asleep on Robbie's chest, just as a knock on the door sounds to drop off the room service.

He gently removes himself from her and gets up to take the food. He stares at her sleeping and blushes. Placing the tray on the dresser, he carefully climbs back onto the bed. He returns to his spot next to her. He reaches for the remote. He turns the sound off, but decides to keep it on in case she wants to see it when she wakes up.

He runs his hands over her hair soothingly, unaware of Cat's open eyes.

Just do it, Catty! She takes a breath.

Without lifting her head from his chest, she whisper-stutters, "Um, I'm, I'm really happy you're in New York."

Dang it! Cat huffs quietly.

"Me too," in a bold move (well, bold for him), he leans down to place a kiss on her cheek. This time he doesn't wait for a response he knows isn't coming. Instead he just relaxes against the pillows.

She gasps quietly, so quiet Robbie can't even hear. In moments of uncertainty, Cat thinks WWJD?

She rolls her eyes, then shuts them tight at the feeling. Maybe she shouldn't do exactly what Jade would do. But she can be confident and brash.

Cat takes a deep breath. And then another. And then another. Breathing slowly and quietly in and out, memories of her and Robbie pop into her head. When she kissed him last week, the first time she kissed him, the first time he kissed her, the first time they slept together freshman year of college on his mattress when she was home for the break (it was slow and calm, and she had never felt more comfortable in her life...of course she immediately squeaked, picked up her clothes and left, but in that moment...), and then, the song he wrote just for her.

At that, she internally shook her head, taking her out of her weird nerves. Channeling full Jade West, Cat sat up and turned her head to look at him. What she didn't expect was their faces to be so close. But nothing deters Jade from saying what she thinks. So, with a sharp poke to his chest, Cat declares, "I would like to be your girlfriend."

Robbie's face lights up, but he holds his breath and sits back so he can look at Cat's face fully. Searching for a sign that she means this, and isn't kidding or about to run away again.

When he sees her looking him in the eye with a small smile, he gulps.

Okay, Rob. This is it. This is what you've been waiting for...just don't squeal or say anything dumb…

"Cat, I would love to be your boyfriend." He's not scared to use "love" and she's not concerned. They've been friends for so long, it feels natural. At the same time, she's stopping herself from even going near the possibility of the word having a different connotation in this moment.

"YAY!" Cat sighs happily and lets out a giggle, jumping onto him. Robbie gently wraps an arm around her waist to hold her steady. They grin like lunatics. With their eyes locked, Robbie brings his other hand to her waist, and Cat places her hands on either side of his face, kissing him harder than she has in the past.

She suddenly breaks the kiss and snuggles herself back into his arms, her head against his chest.

"Hey," he says gently. Cat looks up at him and he puts a finger under her chin to bring their lips together. She squeaks happily and turns her attention back to the show.

Well, at least she's not running away.

3:00pm

Beck and Jade stare out the window intensely.

"How about that guy?" Beck points to a man in a charcoal gray suit, crew cut, holding his long black jacket over his arm, walking with his chin held high.

"Easy," Jade scoffs. "His name is Yates Bradford. Sleeping with his secretary, probably murdered his wife- who only married him for his money, mind you- and he and his friend from a preppy ivy are currently embezzling money from their company," Jade moves herself up higher, resting her chest on the table. She beckons him to lean forward so no one else can listen in. "You see, it's all part of his plan. His wife never had a chance once she married Yates, whose real name is Chad by the way, but too many guys had that name in his year so he had to stand out. He knew the police were on his tail, so he had to make a distraction: murder his wife and pin it on his friend. His stupid friend, who left a paper trail and was practically begging to be arrested and fired from the firm. Yates was smart and careful during their scheme, making sure he was completely clean. When Yates wanted out, the stupid friend threatened to expose him on it. Now, please keep in mind, he voluntarily changed his name to Yates for god sakes, he's an unhinged man, and nobody threatens Yates," Jade gives Beck a knowing look. "His plan for revenge follows this: his stupid friend gets arrested for 'murdering' Yates's wife and they look into his background, they find the fraud. Of course the stupid friend would deny deny deny and claim that Yates was part of it too. But with his wife gone, he is just a sad widow, with more money than he could count. Why would he ever be involved in anything so greedy and dumb? After all, he loved his wife. When he picks up his briefcase he hears a slight ding of metal, and as he leaves the courthouse unscathed, he wears a chilling smile. Nobody would ever find the murder weapon."

"Wow." Beck tilts his head appreciatively at the strange, dark story and does a light golf clap. Impressed and pleased that she's really getting into the game.

For the last hour they were people watching: picking out a person and making up a backstory.

"Ooh, her," Jade says with a devious grin. Judging people is already her favorite hobby; making up stories was just a plus.

Jade points her finger discreetly at the woman walking by. Early thirties, neon blue hair in pigtails, aggressively chewing gum, and walking with a slight hunch.

Beck thinks for a minute.

"Francesca Brutonheimer. Definitely said the phrase 'it's not a phase, mom, punk is my life' at least five times in 2006. And once in 2007, but that was to a therapist-

Beck pauses as Jade starts laughing. Harder than she's ever done in his presence, and, unbeknownst to him, the hardest she's laughed in the past year. Beck bites his lip and feels a rush of pride as he looks at her smiling, knowing he's the one who caused it. He could make her laugh loud and unabashedly.

Beck's breath hitches as he catches a full blown, real Jade West smile. It's gone in an instant, as it happens in the process of sobering down and leaving a small, happy smile on her face.

"Shall I continue?" Beck asks, his eyebrow raised.

Jade affirms, "Yes you shall."

"Francesca Brutonh- what did I say?"

"Brutonheimer."

"Good. Wanted to make sure you were paying attention." Beck throws her a cheeky grin, making Jade roll her eyes and gesture with her hand for him to keep going.

"Surprisingly has never taken any drugs, and, despite what she wrote on her AIM profile, punk is not her religion and she secretly had piles of those Tiger Beat magazines with hearts drawn around her celebrity crushes."

Jade tilts her head at that last one.

"I have a younger sister."

"Ah," Jade says and nods her head in understanding.

"Your turn," Beck sits up straighter and wears a goofy grin, looking out the window to see who she will pick next.

Jade doesn't turn her head. Rather, she stares at him and takes in the moment and the fact that she actually feels...happy.

"I'm glad I asked you for coffee," she states matter-of-factly.

Beck swivels his head from the window and chuckles in surprise. "And I'm glad I said yes."

"As much as I hate giving compliments, you did a good job on this date, Oliver. Definitely a prime spot for people watching."

"Thank you, thank you," Beck pretends to bow while still in his seat. This goes on for almost a whole minute.

"Wow." Jade says, her voice dripping with sarcasm, while her lips were turned up in an amused smile. "I cannot believe I like such a loser."

This only encourages him to continue pretending people are praising him.

"Would you quit it already," Jade grumbles and grabs his hands.
He grins at her touch.

"Well," Beck counters, "I can't believe you never thanked me for the coffee."

Jade shrugs. "Better get used to it, bud."

Beck clears his throat, his stupid grin still plastered on his face.

"So, let me get this straight, I should remember the following things about Jade West: black coffee, two sugars, and has no manners?" Beck's eyes glimmer, "I think I have it down."

Jade glares, "I'm polite when I want to be."

Beck has a feeling the glare is supposed to be intimidating. The longer he stares, her mouth turns down a fraction, and the glare turns into a pout, and he's never seen anything cuter.

Beck swiftly let go of her hands that were still holding onto his and moved her coffee out of the way. He reached over the table with one hand to cup her cheek and pull her closer to him. What was supposed to be just a chaste kiss, ultimately turns into a slow, deep kiss, causing them to both take a breath when their lips part.

Jade bites her lip and her gaze wanders down to his lips again. She doesn't know if this is a good idea or not, but what's the harm by this point?

"Want to go back to my place?" Jade looks at Beck, deadly serious. "It's not too far."

Ah, yes. The central reason Beck chose this particular coffee shop.

"Abso-fucking-lutely." Beck smirks deviously and grabs her hand to stand up. Once out the door Beck drops her hand to put on his jacket. As soon as Jade's set in her jacket his arm snaps around her shoulders. Jade leans into the touch and he rubs his hand up and down her arm to keep her warm. She lets out a secret smile.

They finally make it back to her apartment, fully intent on hooking up immediately, until a certain smell hits Jade.

"Oh my god. Cat made brownies," Jade calls as she runs to the kitchen.

Beck's eyes widen. He hasn't had a Cat brownie in over a year.

"No way." He follows Jade to the kitchen to see her bent over looking in the oven. He chuckles when he looks at the counter behind him.

"Looking for these?" Beck unwraps the tinfoil covering the tray of brownies.

"These are the best brownies in the world. Everyone in life, apart from my sworn enemies, deserves to try one of Cat's brownies."

With no time to say otherwise, Jade stuffs a brownie in his mouth. He moans, forgetting just how amazing they are.

"Right?" Jade asks, her eyebrows shooting up to her hairline.

"She's been making these brownies since we were in 7th grade." Jade momentarily forgot he was part of her highschool gang.

She had many questions about Cat in her younger years, but only one that was undoubtedly the most important.

"Does she actually have a brother?"

Beck almost chokes on his brownie from laughing.

"All I can say is: none of us have met him before. But we've been wondering that since we first met the girl."

Jade nods, not fully satisfied with the answer but whatever.

"I hate to be a stick in the mud-

"Oh, here we go," Jade groans and rolls her eyes.

Beck gives her a confused look before continuing, "Would you be down to eat dinner first?"

"Too much of a goody-goody to have dessert first?" Jade scoffs.

Beck, unperturbed by her remark simply answers, "Yes."

"Fine." Jade threw open the freezer door. "Take your pick."

"Would not have pegged you for a frozen pizza person, West."

"When Cat and I want to feel like street vermin we have these ready in stock, Oliver."

Now it's Beck's turn to roll his eyes.

"Meat lovers delight," he says as he pulls it out of the freezer.

"Of course you go for that one," Jade grumbles as she turns the oven on.

"What does that even mean?"

"Oh, you know what that means," Jade's tone turned strangely seductive, making him even more confused.

"Um, did I miss something here?" Beck scratches the back of his neck still confused.

Jade repeats him in a mocking tone. "Yeah, you just being picky."

Suddenly Beck smirks. "I get it."

"What?" Jade snaps. She pulls the pizza out of the box, grabs a pan and throws it in.

"You get irritated when you're horny." Beck's playful smirk turns mischievous.

"Excuse me?" Jade glares and places her hands on her hips.

"You heard me," Beck takes another step towards her, this time she sees his warm brown eyes darkening as he looks her body up and down.

Jade moves an inch forward. The clothes on her body suddenly feel uncomfortable.

"Well, if you're going to say something stupid like that you should at least ma-

Beck interrupts, putting a hand on her waist and pulling her to him and catching her lips in a hard kiss. His hands move up from her waist, pulling her loose sweater off easily. Jade's arms wind around his neck and she bites his lip when she feels her bra fall to the side. Breaking their kiss, he picks Jade up and her legs wrap around his hips. Her fingers play in his hair as he leads them to her room. She smirks when she notices the extra bounces he takes and how her breasts practically hit him in the face every time.

6:30pm

Beck and Jade lay in bed, naked, playing with each other's fingers. With his arm around her, his other hand trails up and down her side.

Jade looks up at him, then down to their fingers. She lifts his hand and kisses it. When he gives her a loving look, she immediately nips the skin she just kissed.

"Dude!"

"What?" Jade looks up at him innocently, batting her eyelashes.

"Oh yeah? That's how you're going to play?" Beck squeezes her waist with his other hand, making her jump. With that surprise, he begins to tickle her, until they both smell something strange.

"Is something burning?" Beck muses, his face turning up in disgust.

"The pizza!"

They both scramble out of bed. Beck pulls up his, now slightly damp, boxers as Jade grabs a new pair of underwear and throws on another loose black sweater.

Beck gets to the kitchen first but looks around cluelessly trying to find oven mitts. Jade finally reaches him, takes the bright pink (obviously Cat's) oven mitts and the pair examine whether or not it looks edible. After a silent moment of exchanging looks between each other and the pizza, Beck finally, tentatively, speaks. "I..I mean, I'm fine with it if you're okay."

Jade pokes the pizza with a finger and sees that the cheese isn't totally blackened.

With a shrug she says, "I'm cool with it."

She grabs plates while Beck grabs some napkins and they sit down at her kitchen table. Pulling apart a piece for both of them Beck declares, "Cheers!"

"What are we cheers-ing to?"

"To...gross pizza and the weirdos we watched today!" Beck improvises.

Jade repeats the sentiment and adds, "May the freaky weirdos forever remain weirdos for us to judge and laugh at!"

"Here here!" Beck laughs, and Jade lets a real smile slip out as they clink their pizzas.

A/N: This may have been waaay too fluffy, but I hope you had fun with it regardless, and that I didn't disappoint you too much :). I have the rest of the story mapped out and with being stuck at home, I plan on continuing it. The future chapters will progress the story more as well.

*Please let me know your thoughts on whether or not to include as much cat/robbie.*
