Skull kid:
First a bit of info on who this character was:
A Skull Kid becomes a central character in Majora's Mask.
Under the influence of Majora's Mask, which he stole from the Happy Mask Salesman, the Skull Kid becomes a powerful sorcerer.
Using this newfound magical might, he wreaks havoc on the land of Termina, ultimately attempting to destroy it by sending the Moon on a collision course with the land.
He appears to be the main antagonist through most of the game, though he himself is not evil and is merely being controlled by the powers of Majora's Mask.
Skull Kid is self-centered and has an affinity for mischief.
Due to his behavior and physical appearance, he is often called an imp.
The Skull Kid is resented by most Terminians because of the tricks he plays on them, though he finds companionship in the Fairy siblings Tatl and Tael.
He is strongly implied to be the same Skull Kid whom Link taught Saria's Song in the Lost Woods in Ocarina of Time.
Skull kid now, how he is in this story:
He's not that self centred anymore due to his 100+ years of wondering around.
However sometimes he can still have his moments where he does sound self centred as an old habit.
He received Majora's mask after Link had defeated it.
Of cause back then the mask was destroyed but due to it's immense power still lingering about the gods decided to fix it, but make it so that the being Majora is not back, only it's powers.
They then decided to give the mask to Skull kid since he saw first hand what a devastation it could bring if it were to fall into the wrong hands.
Skull kid sees this as a chance to redeem himself.
And thus he's a powerful sorcerer again.
Other newly gained characteristics are: A strong drive to keep his fairy friends safe, He's kinda goofy at times, Likes to keep to himself, Doesn't trust people that quickly but when he does he will do almost anything for them even though he doesn't show it.
He still likes to joke around and play pranks on people.
Tatl and Tael:
Tatl is Tael's older sister.
Prior to the events of Majora's Mask, Tatl and Tael were flying around Termina Field looking for shelter on a stormy day, when suddenly they find a lonely Skull Kid under a log, shivering.
Tatl and her brother soon become friends with him, and when the Skull Kid began to show his mischievous side, the two fairies decided to follow through it.
Then the events of Majora's mask happen and then my story.
Tatl is the yellow looking fairy.
In my story Tatl is the slightly braver of the two since she had been on an adventure with Link before.
Here are some of her other characteristics: straightforward, frequently expresses her opinions, if separated from her brother she can be hostile but this in some cases is a reaction of fear.
Tael is the purple looking fairy.
Unlike his sister, Tael has a more innocent and timid personality, unable to stand up for himself.
However he is clever enough to know if someone is not themselves.
In my story he will also mature a bit more in the sense of looking out for his older sister.
Since it has been 100+ years he tries to be more confident and straight forward just like his sis.
However he definitely looks more out for others than himself.
Zelda:
She is a caring, gracious, and self-sacrificing person.
Zelda's wisdom is her most valuable attribute.
As a matriarch, it is imperative that she make the wisest decision concerning the fate of Hyrule.
She upholds her responsibilities no matter the cost and is always willing to help her friends.
Above all, Zelda is known to be a forgiving person even towards those who have harmed her before, as seen in Spirit Tracks, where she asks Anjean to take care of Byrne even though he was the one who stole her body.
Throughout the series, Princess Zelda portrays various types of both magical and physical abilities, ranging from capably wielding a bow to telepathy, as seen in A Link to the Past's introduction when she pleads for Link's help.
However in this story she will wield her bow more often than her magic.
She will however combined her magic with the arrow she shoots to create light arrows.
This will be her signature attack.
Here's a bit of origin: It was revealed by Hyrule Historia that when the kingdom of Hyrule was established during the Era of Prosperity, the queens were often named Zelda after their ancestor, the mortal incarnation of the Goddess Hylia, from the events of Skyward Sword.
So just like in any other game, this Zelda is a "reincarnation" of Hylia.
Other than all this Zelda will have a strong independent famine character.
However since she is a princess (who mostly had to stay indoors) there will also be moments where that shows, that she's not used to the outside world much.
Honestly I could go on and on about her in game backstories so, if you're interested in all of her backstories from in game then be sure to check out this page: Princess_Zelda
(this site is also where I got most information from)
Navi:
Navi is a recurring character in The Legend of Zelda series.
She is a Fairy who usually serves as Link's companion in his quest to save Hyrule.
"Navi is one of the more criticized The Legend of Zelda series characters, which is due to her constant yelling of "Hey!" and "Listen!" throughout the game and for giving "unsolicited advice."
Because of this I want to make her a slightly annoying character.
But not to the point where you absolutely hate her.
She's more like that one character you don't like but don't want to kill either.
At least I hope that's what she is gonna be portrayed as.
Also I'm still doubting how often she's gonna appear and if she will be in the main group of characters.
She's a light blue fairy in colour.
Her personality traits will be: narcissistic, creative, smart and slightly annoying because it still has to be Navi. XD.
Sidon:
Sidon is the prince of the Zora, the son of King Dorephan and the brother of Mipha.
He's a character with a strong personality, He's: Smart, Brave, a little full of himself which often is justified (meaning that he know what he can and can't do) he can be a little tense at times but knows how to calm himself down often leading people to believe he's a layed back type of person.
He quickly becomes close friends to Zelda, almost like siblings.
But same as with Zelda, he's not used to the outdoors much.
Daru the goron:
He's actually a layed back person.
His personality is: Relaxed, fierce when needed, he can be very serious at times too but likes to goof around when he's with friends.
He has a bromance with Sidon and for some reason has an Irish accent. (my friend knows why)
He is an oc (original) character, meaning you won't find him anywhere in the legit Zelda lore.
Daru is named after the champion Daruk.
He is also the son of the current chief of gorons, Bludo.
Midna:
First some in game lore:
Midna is one of the Twili, a race descended from wielders of powerful and evil magic who were banished to an alternate dimension by the goddesses Din, Farore, and Nayru after an event known as the Interloper War.
This alternate dimension, out of which the sublimated descendants could only exist as shadows, eventually became known as the Twilight Realm.
Prior to the events of Twilight Princess, Zant, one of the Twili, overthrew Midna from her throne and placed a curse on her, giving her the imp form that she maintains for most of the game (twilight princess) and depriving her of the magical powers that are granted to the leader of the Twili.
However after meeting Link they manage to defeat Zant and take back the twilight realm.
She then also regains her normal form.
In the aftermath of all this she has to say goodbye and sheds a single tear which, upon contact with the Mirror of Twilight, destroys it completely, severing the only link between the two worlds.
One more important detail: in game Princess Zelda sacrifices herself and transfers her light essence to Midna, she is able from then on to take her physical form even when she's not in the Twilight; however, she still chooses to hide in Link's shadow for most of the game.
In my story:
Thanks to Zant fixing the mirror he manages to mend the link between the two worlds and he attacks the twilight realm once again.
By doing so Midna ends up in Hyrule again.
Her characteristics are: Clever, confident, at first she comes over as a bit disdainful but if you get to know her better she becomes more amiable and kind.
Mr. Hawkins:
He is the adviser of King Rhoam.
He is also a close friend of the king.
He often has to look after Zelda making him a mentor figure.
His personality is: Smart, kind, he's good at observation, always worries over the princess, puts others above himself and instead of telling others what to do he tends to help them while leading others, making him a great leader figure. Because of this most people turn to him for advise.
Botrick and Gutter:
They are castle guards, often assigned to watching over the princess.
These two have a bromance much like Daru and Sidon.
However these two are a lot more coward like, being scared away by a kid and all.
Botrick is definitely the more straight forward of the two.
He also is the one who often makes the decisions since he's a little bit braver and smarter than Gutter.
However both are cowards and not very smart.
Despite this they are very loyal companions and would do anything for their princess.
King Rhoam
He's the king of Hyrule and Zelda's father.
He's overall a kind ruler just like Zelda will be.
However he tends to be a bit too overprotective over his daughter.
He's friends with the chief of the goron's and the leader of the Zora's.
