This author note might get annoying if you read multiple of my fics because I'm going to copy/paste it over all updates for maybe the rest of the month.

I really have been neglecting some of my fanfics for about a year and some even two years. I've decided to try to update as many as I can (or as many as I know people want to see). I'm going to be scheduling fic updates but based on the number of hits on the latest chapter (there is a way to see on fanfiction net a huge discrepancy between unique IP visitors and hits and I will make sure that no one is just continually clicking refresh on fics). Right now I am updating fics that have 75+ hits on the latest chapter. That is 49 fanfics at this present time. Once I finish the updates of all of those (hopefully before the end of the month) I will update my stat list (an Excel document) and start again. Hopefully this will explain my updates until the end of the year (although there may be a handful I write just for fun). Thank you for checking out my work. I appreciate every well-intentioned reader. Love the reviews but I still appreciate every well-intentioned reader. Thank you.

Chapter Eight – Domino's War Room

8.1

Whatever Hiro Hamada thought was going to happen that night, he did not have in mind what he woke up to. He kept having trouble sleeping. Tadashi's return had been a great relief to him but he knew that his brother hadn't returned in the same way that he had before. When Domino had tried to hack into a major bank's headquarters, he had learned that Tadashi was different but this…waking up to hear the sound of running water scared him.

He stood up nervously before going to where the bathroom was. He knocked on the door but didn't hear a response, since the door moved slightly he took a step inside and saw Tadashi sitting under the shower fully dressed with his arms pulled around his knees and his forehead resting on his kneecap.

"Tadashi?" Hiro asked hesitantly as he approached his brother. "Are you okay?"

It was obvious that he wasn't but what did you say to someone who was in this situation? He moved forwards again and sat on the toilet, facing Tadashi who was shivering. He hated seeing him like this. Going over to the shower, he turned it off and put a towel over his older brother.

Tadashi looked at him, his whole body and hair and clothes soaked through, "Thanks," he said uncomfortably and Hiro nodded. There was silence but Tadashi just stared ahead of him as if he were a shell. "I have to leave," he said and Hiro felt his stomach drop having heard that.

Leave? Leave now? Leave and go where?

"I want you to stay," Hiro told him not knowing what more to say. He tried to think of a way to convince him that he had what he needed here but Hiro was almost certain that this was to do with Domino. "How much control do you have over him?"

"When I was trying to find my way back here it was as if he lived inside of me but he was some kind of guide in me but now that I've come back. I don't think I belong here, Hiro." Tadashi said as he finally stared at his younger brother and Hiro could see all the deep pain that Tadashi was enduring. He sighed and leaned forwards. He didn't want to comment on how weak Tadashi appeared, he was his older brother, he loved him so much and he had really been devastated by his death.

"Maybe if you tried to put your mind somewhere else. Try to build something that could go with Baymax in a company. Try to research some illnesses that don't have cures to them. It's a different type of science but that's what you wanted to do, right?" Hiro asked and Tadashi stepped out of the shower. He grabbed the towel and dried himself but didn't change clothes.

"I have something that I need to show you. I'm just going to get changed. Can you tell Aunt Cas that we're going out?" he asked him and Hiro nodded. He started feeling chills all over his body from this conversation but he wanted to believe in Tadashi. Tadashi had earned his trust.

Yes, until he had reason not to trust him, he was going to trust in Tadashi. He knew what his morals and ethics were but Tadashi was worth losing his spot on the team and the friendships he had made. Tadashi was his brother and to Hiro, right now, that was the most important relationship to him.

Aunt Cass had not been happy that the boys were heading out in the middle of the night but something about the haunted look on Tadashi's face had made her feel sorry for her eldest nephew and she had given her consent for them to go. Hiro had followed Tadashi to the edge of the city and down an alleyway to a warehouse and seen him take out a key. They were now entering the nearly empty spot.

"Here," Tadashi gestured to Hiro as he took him to a fenced off area and turned on the light. Hiro blinked against the harsh light and then took a step back as he stared at what Tadashi was standing beside. Drums of acid. Guns. Technological weapons he had only heard of. Ammunition. Ropes and tools. He frowned as he looked behind him and saw that the walls were tagged with Domino's name. Had Tadashi been using this place before he had come home to them? How had he amassed all of this?

"I—I-" Hiro stammered as he stepped backwards. He stared at his brother who looked horrified at the weapons that appeared to belong to some criminal lunatic. "You had this -"

"Domino owns all of this," Tadashi told Hiro and bowed his head, "I found out tonight. I found this," he said as he went through some locked boxes, entered some data, a fingerprint match, an eye scan, and then took out a small leather notebook. "Domino's plans, people on his hit list, where to go to steal the most money. Domino's been doing a lot more than I thought myself capable of."

Hiro looked at the weapons and the locked boxes and felt his stomach flip over. This was unbelievable and it was even worse knowing that he was getting his fingerprints on these items. No. This was Tadashi who was speaking to him now and Tadashi had always wanted to take care of him. Domino was an illness, some dirty virus, Domino wasn't his brother. "What do you think I can do with all of this!?" Hiro yelled at him and Taadshi nodded. "Why do you have this? What does Domino want to do with this? Does Domino actually think he can hurt people this way?" he asked before looking down.

"We need to lead the authorities here but first we need to get all of my DNA off of it and all of your DNA. We need to make sure we aren't linked to these things but they need to be taken away from Domino." Hiro felt as if his head was about to explode as he saw how much of a war room this was for the unhinged alter. Still, he could see Tadashi wanted nothing to do with this. Maybe these things were made with his own hands but it wasn't as if he was conscious of it. He was more of a victim than anybody.

Tadashi nodded, he reached out to a tub of acid and closed his eyes, Hiro looked at his hand, seeing the red light from it. Was Tadashi crazy? Fire and acid was not a good idea at all. He was going to kill both of them if he didn't stop it. Hiro reached out to stop him but found that the acid was disappearing, not melting or burning or boiling but just vanishing. He looked at Tadashi and saw that he was in pain but as he finished with that, he went over and Hiro stared wide eyed and with a dropped jaw as he seemed to erase the area.

"You teleported those things, right?" he asked and Tadashi shook his head sadly. He started to cough and Hiro was scared that there was now blood, Tadashi was coughing up blood!? He felt as if he were trapped in a horror movie. This didn't make sense. None of this made any sense.

"I've learned that this world, every world is a lie, Hiro," Tadashi said and Hiro stood in shock unable to move as Tadashi erased the room. "Matter is able to be repurposed," he said before making sure that the empty warehouse was just a warehouse with Domino's name on the wall. "I knew that I could do that but I needed for you to see it. I think I only have two choices."

"Three," Hiro argued with him, "You have three choices."

"You're right," Tadashi laughed as he smiled weakly to his little brother, "I do have the option of ending my life and therefore ending Domino's life." He looked away as Hiro tried to figure out some way of stopping him. "I can either lean into Domino and let him take control of my body or I can have myself locked up where I won't be able to hurt anyone ever again."

"Are you sure that you won't just disintegrate any jail cells or straight jackets or anything they use to hold you in," Hiro said and Tadashi sighed. He had thought that he could fight this, he had thought with his friends support that he would be able to stop this but that wasn't the case. He wasn't getting better and Domino was a lot worse than he thought.

"I spent too much time in the other world," Tadashi said and Hiro couldn't understand what he was saying any longer. The other world? A world where it was normal to make objects vanish and have the elemental powers of fire. Is that the other world? None of this was making sense but Hiro was beyond sure of one thing, he didn't want to ever risk the loss of his brother.

"If you become Domino," Hiro said knowing that the idea he was about to propose was a huge risk. "How likely is it that you can pull yourself out if you do something bad?"

"I'm not sure," Tadashi replied, "but my keeping hold of this body for the majority of the time whilst he gathers strength from underneath is doing far more harm than if it was the other way around. I would be able to stop him because my strength would be more concentrated but I'd have to let Domino come out more."

"Then I think you should let him," Hiro said and Tadashi stared at him and nodded. "I love you but right now if it's going to cause less harm that you live as Domino so you can be a kind of superhero to yourself if Domino tries to do something chaotic, then you should."

"Hiro," Tadashi said but Hiro spoke up before he could continue.

"We need to tell Aunt Cass about this though. Not all of it but the fact that you're going to have to be someone else for a while. She might not understand it but I'm sure that we can get her to listen to us."

Tadashi sighed and nodded. He knew how risky this was and he knew how much he loved his brother but this was a game of Domino's now. Hopefully he would be able to connect the dots when he finally was able to play his turn.
