Bonnie jumps when his bedroom door is forced open. He stands up, already opening his mouth to ask why some random staff member is barging in like this, but he's cut off.

"There's a giant creature in the construction site! Freddy's fighting it alone!"

His mind is made up within seconds. Bonnie marches out of his bedroom and rushes straight to the site. He goes as fast as possible and once he's at the double doors, Bonnie pushes them open with a loud bang.

First, he sees the monster in question. He remembers seeing it that night too. It took Afton and he assumed it managed to get out somehow, but it seems he was wrong. Then, Bonnie sees Freddy right in front of it. And Monty holding him back.

Bonnie freezes despite his own urge to rush in. He stares at Monty's back, unable to move from the spot. They can't be together. He's spent so long avoiding the gator. What if Monty acts out again? What if Bonnie has to live through the pain of nearly getting decommissioned? What if-

"Give him back!" Freddy shouts but the monster ignores him. It lifts Freddy into the air and Monty holds onto his leg, quickly going with him.

Get over yourself, Bonnie! They need you!

As he runs forward, Bonnie's mind screams to turn back over and over, but he pushes through. He pushes through the memory of red glowing eyes and sharp claws digging into his casing. He pushes past it all and just manages to grab Monty's tail. He pulls them back, but the dirt below makes it difficult to get a good foothold.

Monty looks back, but Bonnie doesn't meet his gaze. He closes his eyes and focuses on just pulling with all of his strength. The amalgamation makes a screeching noise and suddenly, all three of them are in the air. Bonnie sees the world fly by both too quickly to process and in slow motion. He sees the old animatronics stuck to the monster's sides, sees the rusted Freddy face as well. Then, before he can think to brace himself, Bonnie lands hard.

He feels something crack, but as he stands up to assess the damage, he sees it's nothing too bad. There are cracks along his side, but it's not too bad. Nothing's really broken.

"Bonnie!" The rabbit flinches from Monty's voice, but he looks over anyway. Monty's standing as well, but he's not facing Bonnie. He's looking at Freddy, who's now being held up in the air. "You got something sharp?!"

Bonnie looks around and to his luck, he finds a sledgehammer. It's not sharp, but it should take care of some of those wires. He tosses it to Monty, who catches it like it weighs nothing. Monty takes a defensive stance and Bonnie looks up at Freddy again. "Is there a plan?!" He asks, not quite sure how they'll defeat something so large.

"No clue." Monty frowns. "I can keep those wires away, if you've got anything." Just as he says it, he smashes a thick cable away. The monster hisses back at them and more come after them.

What can they do? Freddy's high up and it's just the two of them. Monty may be strong, but he's not strong enough to just pull Freddy down, especially with this soil covering the floor!

"Bonnie! Monty!" Bonnie looks at the new voice and he sees not just Chica, but Roxy coming their way. Their eyes go wide as they also see the giant. "What is that?!" Roxy gapes.

"Freddy!" Chica shouts. "We have to get him down!"

"What does it look like we're-" Monty stops to hit another cable away. He moves too slow to get the next and it pulls him up. To Bonnie's surprise, the hammer doesn't slip from Monty's hands and he easily smashes his way out of the tight hold. He falls a few feet away.

Roxy joins them and helps Monty up. "What does it want?!" She asks, barely dragging them away from another wire.

Bonnie stares up, wondering the same thing. His eyes meet Freddy's and for a moment, time stops. He sees the fear in Freddy's eyes but as they turn downward, Bonnie follows the gaze. He spots something poking out from the dirt, close to the base. He's not sure what it is, but he may have an idea. "Guys!" The rabbit turns to the others and they give him their attention for as long as possible, which isn't much. "I have an idea! Cover for me!"

Without another word, Bonnie starts running toward the spot, his eyes not focusing on anything else. He hears the others race after him, the sound of metal hitting metal following. He hears Chica scream, then Roxy's growl. He hears Monty urge him forward and Bonnie does just that, forcing his legs to make him move faster.

Just as he reaches the spot, Bonnie slides to a stop. The others form a circle around him, acting as his defense, as he starts digging. He frantically pushes dirt away and a few moments later, he finds exactly what he thought he would. He uncovers more of the body, then pulls the top out of the dirt, showing it to the rusted Freddy head. It doesn't look.

"Afton's right here!" Bonnie shouts and finally, it turns to him, hissing and screeching. "You wanted him, right?! Then come get him!"

The amalgamation drops Freddy instantly and all at once, wires are coming right for them. Bonnie feels someone grab his arm and pull him away just as the creature takes Afton's body, holding it just as it had to Freddy. The body doesn't move but Bonnie doubts it's actually dead. Most likely just out of charge. And out of luck, now that the creature wraps Afton is layer upon layer of cables, then crushes it.

Spring feels every wire he's pulled past. It scrapes off pieces of his fabric and at some point, he worries they might's taken off a part of his ear, but he's powerless against it. Every time he tries to grab something, his hands slip and he's pulled further away.

Is he going to die like this?

The wire suddenly stops dragging him, but Spring doesn't get up immediately. He feels himself over, confirming that they did rip off the top of his ear. His entire body shakes as he struggles to stand. The moving wires all around him don't help, but he manages to reorient himself.

He's in some kind of opening. The wires are all pressed together, forming a big egg shape around him. Is...is he a captive? If so, then why? Why would they-

Spring almost stumbles as something else enters the circle, wires moving beneath his feet. He manages to get his balance back, then looks at what exactly he's being faced with. He stops, his eyes wide and core pumping fast. He sees the slightly darker golden color of fur and the blacktop hat that replaced the purple one. He sees the bowtie and those dead eyes that are no longer dead and empty.

Spring is two feet away from Fredbear, but he can't let himself hope just yet. He can't let himself believe it's really him. Not after so long.

"Cassidy?" He asks hesitantly. He can't feel Fredbear's energy, can't tell what's happening behind the suit. It has to be the little girl. There's no other explanation.

But then Fredbear shakes his head. "The children are at rest." Spring almost falls at the sound alone. The voice is deep and although there's a slight distortion, it's still him. It's Fredbear's voice. He hasn't heard it since...well, since the crying boy died.

Spring lets out a pitiful noise, his entire being wanting it to be true. "F-Freadbear?" He asks this time, wanting so badly to hear that voice again. Please, please let it be him.

Fredbear's only answer is a sweet smile and Spring is lost. He rushes forward and wraps his arms around his partner's body, feeling him for the first time in decades. The memories all rush through his mind, reminding him of the time they spent together. Of the things he tried so badly to forget, just to save himself the pain. The rabbit sobs when Fredbear holds him in reurn, his touch still gentle.

Spring opens his mouth to speak, but nothing comes out. He can't find the words through the pain, relief, sorrow, and love. He's completely overwhelmed, but it's okay. Fredbear's here again. They can really hold each other like Spring has wanted for so long.

Fredbear pulls away slightly and Spring tries to resist, but he's too weak. He's shaking badly and his limbs hold very little strength in them. Fredbear smiles at him and Spring melts. "You're as beautiful as the day I first met you." A thumb rubs at the rabbit's cheek.

"I..." Spring sobs again. "I missed you so much." He can't even begin to show just how much he means it. "I th-though about you every da-day." His voice cracks.

"I missed you too, Bonnie." The nickname sounds so nice, so right. Spring just melts into his arms again and Fredbear laughs. Actually laughs. It's deep and rich and better than any song Spring could possibly listen to. "I thought you were him at first." Fredbear whispers this time, his tone less cheerful. "I wanted to tear you apart, but I'm so glad I didn't. I can't imagine..." Fredbear goes quiet and Spring looks up at him. He sees the grief on his face and can fill in the rest on his own. Fredbear wouldn't have gotten this moment. He would've killed his lover for nothing.

Spring holds the bear tighter, never wanting to let go. He never knew he would get this again. That he could see Fredbear as himself instead of the child's spirit. "I love you." He mutters it into the rotten fabric. If he concentrates hard enough, he can still smell the diner on him. Can smell greasy fries and bad pizza. And birthday cake. Fredbear always smelled like birthday cake.

Their moment together doesn't last forever. Eventually, Fredbear pulls away completely, leaving Spring cold and alone. He does look sorry, but there's something in his eyes. An anger that wasn't there before. "I don't want to leave you, Bonnie, but I have to. We need to make that monster pay for what he did to the children. To you."

Spring is split. On one hand, he completely agrees. There is nothing Afton can do to fully repay his debt. There's no redemption for him and he deserves to burn in hell, but he also knows that keeping him alive will only make this worse. "Who's 'we'?" He asks, hesitant to outright disagree.

"We found the first four. Freddy, Chica, Bonnie, and Foxy are here, but only Chica's casing was left. They're just wires now. But we have others too. We have Circus Baby and her friends. And the toys. They're all here."

Now the amount of wires makes sense; that many animatronics all tangled together like this. But does that mean Fredbear's in control? Or do they fight for power?

Are they blinded by the same rage those children were?

"Fredbear," Spring starts carefully. "You know that Afton can't stay alive anymore, right? You have to end him."

Fredbear's face twists into a glare and Spring takes a step back. He's never seen this before. Fredbear was never this aggressive. "Why are you protecting him? I thought you of all people would understand this. He needs to pay!" There's a low growl all around them and the wires become more active. Fredbear snarls. "Is it those newer models? Did they convince you that this is better? That we can just let Afton go?!"

The newer...the Glamrocks? Spring remembers Freddy leaving just as the amalgamation started to rise, but how does Fredbear know more about them? Was he listening? Either way, Spring needs to de-escalate the situation. "No, they didn't convince me of anything, but I know Afton. He'll find a way out. He always does."

"He won't this time!" Several voices join Fredbear's. Spring looks around, afraid he'll be attacked by the others. He may be repaired, but he can't face them all at once.

"He will!" Spring tries. "And even if he doesn't, what's the point in just torturing him? Sure, you get payback, but that's it! There's no rest for you either!"

"Why are you fighting us?!" Fredbear steps closer and Spring quickly finds that there's nowhere else to go. Nowhere to run. "I thought you loved me!"

"I do!"

"THEN HELP US!"

The walls around them start to close in, pushing Spring closer to Fredbear. He tries to stay away, but there's no room left. He's forced into Fredbear's hold and this time, it's not gentle. Dark golden fingers grab at his arms, the metal creaking with the pressure. Spring fights as best he can, but every time he looks at Fredbear's face, he freezes up. He can't do it. He can't hurt Fredbear.

Something pulls and Spring gasps in pain. He's dropped quickly, but it only makes it worse. As he tries to keep himself up, Spring sees fluid dripping out of his chest. A warning flashes about his core engine losing oil.

"I...I'm sorry!" Fredbear's voice is above him and Spring can't help but flinch away. He doesn't look up. "SpringBonnie, I didn't mean to. I just...I'm so sorry!"

Spring takes a moment to collect himself. He tries pressing a hand into his chest plate to stop the leak, but he can't reach it. Instead, he looks up and sees Fredbear back away. The space is bigger now. "Fredbear..." Spring talks slowly, still afraid that any wrong move will turn things violent again. "I want him to hurt just as badly. He stole innocent lives and left families to mourn their deaths. I hate him so much, but this isn't right. We need to kill him so no one else will suffer."

Fredbear's look of sorrow fades, but slightly. His hands are hanging in the air, like he wants to help but can't let himself get closer. He looks away for a moment, then looks back. "But...but he hurt you."

Spring shakes his head. "Do you know what he was doing in that hole? He was hurting more people. He almost killed a little boy. If we don't stop him now, then it'll happen again, and again. The only way to really end this is by killing him."

The wires stop for a moment, then the other voices come ringing in. "We have him!" They're so badly distorted that Spring can barely recognize them at all. "Now he can pay!"

Fredbear looks at him, so unusually lost. He was always the stable one before, always quick to give advice and comfort. He was so sure of himself and SpringBonnie used to envy his confidence. But now, Spring sees that Fredbear needs help. He can't do this alone.

Slowly, Spring stands again. He winces as more fluid drips on the wires below, but he ignores it for now. Instead, he stumbles toward Fredbear and hugs him tightly. "Please, trust me." He whispers, just like the bear used to. "And if it goes wrong, then I'll take care of it." He can feel Fredbear smile and it's comforting to know he remembers this too.

"Promise?" Fredbear whispers back, his voice no longer wavering. Spring has his trust.

"I promise."

They pull away again and share a soft smile for just the other to see. Spring finds, once again, that he's missed so much about Fredbear. He can't be more thankful that they had this time together.

The bear looks up, his voice strong with authority. "Let Michael have him. It's time to let this go." The voices argue at first, but they eventually leave. Spring has to hope that they follow the orders, but Fredbear doesn't seem so worried. It puts him at ease.

After a moment, Spring feels his smile turn bittersweet. "It's your turn now. You should rest too. After Cassidy and now this..." They've both been through so much. Pain, suffering, tragedy; they've seen it all. "Your job is done."

Fredbear's smile doesn't waver. "Can we go together this time?" Spring looks at him for a moment and his chest immediately sings that this is right. He can't speak anymore, the emotions running high again, so he just nods. They won't be apart anymore. Even in death.

Spring reaches down and holds Fredbear's hand. He gets another warning that he's dangerously low on oil and may shut down, but it's fine. He's ready now.

"It was fun, you know." Spring tries to keep his voice from cracking. "I liked meeting the Glamrocks and figuring them out. And the shows were definitely a bonus."

"I just wish I could've played with you." Fredbear chuckles even though there is real longing in his voice. Spring gets an idea.

He doesn't have his banjo and Fredbear doesn't have his microphone, but they never really needed them anyway. So, Spring starts with the melody of their favorite song. It sounds a little odd without accompaniment, but Fredbear catches on quickly. Spring shifts to harmony just as that deep voice comes in and soon, they're singing together for the first time since 1983. They grow closer and they sway slightly in time with the beat. The wires have stopped moving around them and the warnings still blink, but nothing is more important than this moment.

"I can't help..." Spring locks eyes with Fredbear as they share the last line. The world starts to darken and he sees Fredbear's eyes gloss over. "falling in love..." His vision goes out and he feels them fall, but the voice box carries on for a second longer. "With you."

They both go still.

Just as Bonnie manages to get Freddy into his arms, the amalgamation stops. It looks down at them, then lowers Afton to the floor. He stares as it just drops the body in front of them. Then, a twisted voice calls out. "You know what to do."

The tangle of wires suddenly stops moving entirely. The glowing red eyes go dim, leaving them to just stare. What? What just happened?

Freddy steps forward, his finger flicking open as a small flame comes out. It was meant to light candles, but Bonnie knows what this is. He just can't believe it's really happening. After so long, they'll make sure Afton never returns.

The body lights up easily, still motionless. They all watch as it crumbles apart and remnant oozes out across the dirt. Bonnie just watches it all, his mind still reeling from the chaos that took place minutes before.

Soon, there's nothing but bones left. Freddy picks them up and shakes them clean of any last remnant still attached. Then, he throws them into the pit, letting them be buried.

"Is that is?" Chica whispers not too quietly. The others ask similar questions, but Bonnie just gets up and stands beside Freddy. He finds the other's hand quickly and locks their fingers together.

"We did it." He says and Freddy nods. His eyes are wide, but there's a smile on his face. He looks satisfied.

Suddenly, Freddy looks at Bonnie, his mouth open wide with a grin as he pulls the rabbit animatronic close, their noses rubbing together. Bonnie startles at the sudden contact, but he returns it just as quickly. There's no more worrying, except about the Megaplex's guests. They can live their own lives now as nothing but Glamrock Bonnie and Freddy.

"Hey, guys!" Monty calls them and they both look over sheepishly. They weren't being watched, were they? But the worries go away as they see what Monty's calling them for.

The amalgamation has fallen apart, leaving wires stretches out across the site. It's going to be a mess to clean up, but the workers will likely be happier they aren't in danger anymore.

Bonnie and Freddy both walk toward the center of the mess, though, their eye set on a pair of golden animatronics. He knows one as Spring and the other as Fredbear, even if he never went to the diner himself. They're both limp and powered off. There's oil around them, but their hands are together.

There's a deep sadness, seeing someone so new to the Pizzaplex now gone, but Bonnie knows this is where he belongs. Spring was never like them. He always felt different and temporary. Bonnie's just glad he was able to find his lover before he went.

I'm not super skilled at fight scenes, so I apologize if this was confusing. And for those who said they wanted to see Fredbear again, well here it is! I already had this ending sorted out, but I'm glad people really wanted to see his return.

For final thoughts, I mostly just want to thank everyone who read this! This was pretty self-indulgent and I didn't think it would get far, but you proved me wrong! I also didn't think I would write ten chapters of this either, but I'm happy with how it ended.

I will go back and edit the rest, so don't worry about me leaving a bunch of errors. I know there are plenty. Other than that, I hope you check out my other fnaf fics, if you want! Thank you again!
