Chapter: 2

The Young Captain and Navigator

The sun rose like any other day in Foosha village, and just like usual, Shanks was gone after he told Luffy he'd be back in two years to take him on a journey with him, and his crew. Luffy was up around 0430, starting his training off like usual, running around the whole village four times doing so he ran about 45 miles or 72 kilometers and then his hundred pushups, situps, and pullups. Luffy started to get very toned for such a small kid. All of that took him until about 0600 when he would eat his breakfast and then head out to the forest to spend the next four to six hours working on his devil fruit and also meditate because Shanks told him that would help with his haki training when he came back to get him. It was now the afternoon, and Luffy was eating his lunch until a big bulky man came. The man was tall with white hair and looked younger than he was.

"Grandpa, what the hell are you doing here!?" Luffy yelled in surprise to see his Grandpa in front of him.

"You little brat is that any way to greet your Grandfather!" Luffy's Grandpa Garp yelled at him while hitting Luffy in the head.

"OWWWW, How the hell are you hitting me? I ate the Aka kaminari gomu no mi

I should be turning to red lighting!" Luffy yelled.

Garp stood still when he heard what his grandson just said and then quickly grabbed him by the arm and dragged his sorry ass to a Navy Ship and threw him on it. Garp started yelling out orders while beating the crap out of his grandson. Garp continued to beat the living shit out of Luffy until they made it to an island. Luffy, now just barely conditions, was dragged to a house with a whole grove of tangerines. Garp walked straight up to the door and started to pound on the door. Luffy who was now getting up almost as if nothing happened to him thanks to him being a red lightning rubber man, just looked at the house and missed the sight of all of the tangerines. They could both hear a loud yell from the other side of the door.

"Shut up I'm coming I'm coming" a voice was heard that sounded almost like a demon.

The door was then opened by a sweet little girl wearing a dress that came down to her knees, the dress was all white but the seams were orangish-red she has beautiful amber eyes and beautiful orange hair that came down to her shoulders, and a sweet voice was heard "I got it mom don't worry" the door opened and all she saw was a pair of legs. Along with a little boy at the door, she smiled and asked, "can I help up?" The little boy walked up to her and said "Hi my name Monkey D. Luffy and I'm going to become the Pirate King someday. Luffy said with the biggest smile she's ever seen on his face.

Just as he said that Garp hit him on the head and yelled: "WHAT THE HELLS WRONG WITH YOU, YOU'RE GOING TO BECOME A FINE MARINE ONE DAY AND THAT'S FINAL!"

The little girl yelled back at the tall man "WHAT THE HELLS WRONG WITH YOU HITTING A LITTLE KID AND THEN TELLING HIM WHAT HE CAN AND CAN'T DO."

Luffy looked on at the little girl that just stood up for his dream and against his Grandpa for that matter. The air was still and unmoving or so it seemed from what just happened. Luffy then had the biggest smile on his face and with no thought or concern said " Thanks for defending my dream. I like you. You're really nice."

Bell-mère then appeared at the door and asked nicely "Can I help you Garp or do I need to kick your ass off my land." Garp backed up just a little as he saw the woman come up to the door. She wore a yellow apron with a flannel shirt that was white and green with the word "MACE" on the front and she had blue jeans on, her hair is red and was down to her shoulders but had one of the sides shaved off.

"Oh Bell-mère so nice to see you again… and yes I was hoping that you could watch my grandson here for a little bit like two or three months and teach him some proper manners." Garp said.

Bell-mère sighed and looked down at her daughter who was nowhere to be seen and then asked where his grandson was. Garp looked down and he pointed to where Luffy was but was no longer. Luffy and Nami started running and kinda playing until they stopped.

***Luffy and Nami***

"My name is Nami by the way, sorry I couldn't introduce myself early. The big mean man hit you and I just couldn't take it. I don't care if your dream is to be the Pirate king but can I ask why you want to be a pirate? I mean aren't they evil people... aren't they?"

"Some are yes but some are good too they just want to be free like me and travel the world, that's what being Pirate King means to me to be the freest man in the world and find the one piece and that means you have to sail the whole world to find it and that's what I plan to do, as of right now I'm training to be strong and then in two years a group of pirates that are the good ones said they will train me and when I'm like 17 ill set out on my own journey and get a crew that's better than his and find the one piece and become the King of the Pirates," Luffy said with another big smile on his face.

That's really cool Luffy now I understand why you want to be a pirate so bad. So you'll help people instead of killing, rapeing and plundering them... my dream is to be the best navigator in the world and make a map of the whole world." Nami said with a small smile on her face cause she thought that Luffy was going to laugh at her.

"WOOOOOW you want to be the best navigator in the world and make a map of the whole world that's really cool Nami. I believe in you and I know you'll do it someday… Umm hey as the future Pirate King I would only take people I like and trust and make them the best at what they do so how about you join my future crew and sail the seas with me you can make all the maps you want when you want and become the world's best navigator at the same time.

"You mean it... you would let me join you and all I have to do is help you achieve your dream and you'll help me achieve mine?"

You know it, so what do you say Nami? Will you be the future navigator to the future King of the Pirates." Luffy said

"That would be great Luffy don't worry I'll get you to the one piece just as long as you keep me safe and help me see every island there is in the world so i can make a map of the whole world.

***Garp and Bell-mère***

"Fine Garp i'll do it but you need to give me some money to feed him that's the only request I have," Bell-mère told Garp

"That's fine how does 500,000 Beli sound to you every other week.?" Garp asked

"What the hell Garp do you really think that Luffy can eat 250,000 worth of food in a week?" Bell-mère asked Garp

"Well to be honest i believe he could eat the whole 500,000 in a week." Garp said with a smile on his face,

"Th-that's fine with me then Garp. Hand over the money now and leave. I'm sure Nami and Luffy are just talking somewhere she seemed to like him more than the other kids." Bell-mère told Garp.

Garp handed her the money and left with saying that he'll be back in about three months. Nami and Luffy spent the rest of the day just talking and getting to know each other better. They played and ran all over the island with Nami showing Luffy around. Luffy and Nami were always holding hands even if they didn't know when they were running or walking the only times they weren't were when they were playing or eating. Bell-mère waited for them to turn up and just as dinner came around they showed up and Luffy was hungry and also wanted to know where his grandpa went.

"So Luffy dinners ready oh and I guess you'll be staying with us for a couple of months. Your grandfather told me about three months is the time that you'll be here." Bell-mère told Luffy

"I see, so I guess my training will just have to change a little because of the new village then" Luffy thought out loud.

"Training… what kind of training are you doing Luffy" both Nami and Bell-mère asked.

"Well training to be a great pirate of course and i need to get a better handle on my Devil Fruit." Luffy told them.

'So he's a Devil Fruit user' Bell-mère thought to herself.

"What Devile Fruit do you have Luffy" Nami asked "Moms told me about them a couple of times" Nami added.

"I eat the Aka kaminari gomu no mi therefore im a red lightning rubber man" Luffy said as he grabbed his cheeks and stretched them about a foot off his face in both directions then turning his right arm in a bright red lightning storm, but with no clouds,

Both Nami and Bell-mère were both shocked to see Luffy do the impossible. After Bell-mère told him what happened and Luffy showed off his powers both Luffy and Nami were excited that they were going to be able to spend the next couple months together as future Captain and Navigator, but deep inside they just really loved being close to each other. Over the next couple of months, Luffy did the same thing he was doing at his home village waking up around 0430, starting his training off like usual, running around the whole village four times now bumming it up to around 50 miles or 80 kilometers, and then his hundred pushups, situps, and pullups. He then went and would eat his breakfast and then head out to the forest to spend the next couple of hours working on his devil fruit and also meditate but now Nami was with him and doing a little training herself.

***Month 1***

For the first month that Luffy was staying with Nami's Family he spent more time on getting his physical strength up. After about two weeks he was running 65 miles or 105 kilometers about a quarter of one lap with Nami then carrying her on his back for the last five and three fourths of the laps he did by himself with Nami on his back. He also increased his pushups, situps, and pull ups to 250 all before 0600. Instead of four to six hours of devil fruit and meditation training he did about two to four hours then spent the rest of the day talking and playing with Nami and helping her out around the house or in the grove of tangerines. Throughout the day Nami and Luffy would sleep next to each other when they were tired but didn't want to go back to the house in a way they were acting like they were dating but in all reality they just couldn't help but not be by each other.

***Month 2***

In the second month that Luffy was there he put most of his time into his devil fruit powers and haki training which he also started teaching Nami how to because he wanted her to be strong for the crew and herself. Through self training Luffy got basic control over all three forms of haki and when he did that he started to see that Nami was also unlocking her Haki but what caught his attention was that she too also had all three forms of haki at her disposal. Nami could now just barely run the whole 65 miles or 105 kilometers and do 100 Push-ups, sit-ups, and pull-ups. Luffy started to feel weird around Nami because deep within him he saw her in a new light, and started to see that she too was just as determined to reach her dreams as he was and he liked that. He saw all of the good things in her like how even if she was mean at times it was always to help them do better. He also sees her flaws but doesn't think much of it because in his eyes it just makes her who she is and he likes her the way she is even with her flaws because she's perfect just the way she is. Luffy kept thinking of Nami and soon he had butterflies in his stomach and his cheeks started to take on a rosy color whenever he saw her or thought of her which was all the time. Nami also started to feel different around Luffy. Nami started to see just the kind of person he really was, She saw all of the kind nature in him, along with all of the pure kindness within him. Enen with his flaws she always saw that kind boy and nothing would ever change the way she saw Luffy now. Nami was now almost always thinking of Luffy and soon she started to get butterflies in her stomach and her cheeks started to take on a rosey color whenever she saw him or thought of him which was all the time. Luffy and Nami were alway seen with the same rosey color on their faces no matter where they were or what was going on.

***Month 3***

Within the third month Luffy and Nami were at the same training set, Luffy and Nami also finally got Nami's sister Nojiko a girl whos just a bit taller then Nami with light blue hair who always seems to be wearing a blue shirt with overalls that turns into a skirt that's a teal color with a headband that's red with a wavy line of light gold to break down and join them in playing or talking. The three were like best friends except Luffy and Nami still had a deeper bond to them which shows all the time making them look like a couple the whole time for the last month that Luffy was always there always playing, but only Nami would come and train with Luffy in the morning after that Nojiko would come and join in.

...Three Months have passed and it's the last day with Nami's Family…

Luffy has a vision of the future on the last day and what he sees scars him almost to death. Luffy runs to Bell-mère and asks if he can talk to her in private. Bell-mère seeing how serious he was, agreed and they went to her room where he started to tell her about haki and how he has all three forms of it same as Nami and about the training that he was going on with the Red-Haired Pirates he then asks if Nami can come with him because they have already agreed to become a pirate crew when they are older, but not only that he tells her about the Arlong Pirates that are coming and tells her he has a way to save them all but Nami needs to come with him because the pirates kidnaps her and forces her to draw maps for them so they can take over the world. As he is telling Bell-mère his plan she understands how much he cares for Nami and her family and says yes to go along with the plan. As everything was done and his time was up. He was taken back to his hometown, he said his goodbyes to Nami's family and thanked Bell-mère for letting him take Nami with him with Shanks and for trusting him to save the village. He waved bye to everyone but stopped and looked at Nami she was also staring at him he ran to her just as she ran to him and they shared the tightest hug in the world until Luffy looked into her big beautiful amber eyes and said "i'll see you soon Nami" after saying that he placed a small kiss on her cheek and moved a small piece of her beautiful orange hair behind her ear and added "wait for me Nami i'll be back sooner than you think". Luffy then released her from the hug and ran to catch up with his Grandpa who was now yelling at the little brat to move his ass and that they were already late and that he can't just hug his friend all day.

There's the new Chapter two sorry I still didn't talk about Nojiko all too much but there is more then before. I really hope you guys are liking the new devil fruit because I really do. There's more changes to come for now just more detail and not much at that.
