Chapter 1: Into the Pit, Out of the Fire-Daily Life

After leaving the central stage area, Gabe finally managed to weasel out of Susie's grip, that girl was seriously strong despite what her appearance would suggest. "So where do you suppose we look for an escape route first?" he asked her.

Susie thought for a moment, sticking out her tongue while doing so. "I know it's silly, but why don't we try the main entrance?" she suggested.

Gabe raised an eyebrow, she was being serious. "You really think it'll be that easy?"

The girl gave him a weak smile, her eyes shifting away for a moment. "Well, maybe MonoFreddy forgot to lock the front door?"

That was very unlikely, but it couldn't hurt to try at least. The two set off for the front entrance of the Pizzaplex, using a map to locate it. On the way, they passed by a giant golden statue of Glamrock Freddy in the center of a circle garden, leaning back slightly as it grasped a microphone stand with both hands, mouth open as if singing. It was actually pretty cool and Gabe wanted to look at it some more but he knew he had to stay focused. The kids made it to the front entrance and to no surprise there was a solid gate that blocked off the doors. On the black barrier were three exact copies of Glamrock Freddy, only their heads were replaced with MonoFreddy's instead, almost as if taunting those who were trapped inside.

Gabe and Susie weren't the first ones to discover this misfortune however as three others were already at the sealed off doors. "Do you think the heads were pasted or spray painted on?" Fritz asked.

Alec looked down at him, furrowing his blonde brows. "Why do you care?" he responded.

The red head boy tilted his head. "Well, if they were pasted on then there would be a border around to show where the paste and paper meet, but I can't really see any. Plus, this doesn't really smell like paint."

Cassidy placed a hand to her chin and began thinking about it as well. "Hmm, that is quite interesting..." she mused.

Alec pinched the bridge of his nose, wondering he got stuck with these two in the first place.

"Hey, have you guys found anything?" Gabe called out, getting their attention.

Fritz folded his arms, letting out a huff. "No, we don't know if these heads were pasted or painted on," he responded.

"Yes, it is quite the mystery," Cassidy added, matching Fritz's arm gesture.

Alec, bewildered by their stupidity, raised up his hands before letting them fall and hit his thighs. "Oh for the love of- He's not asking about the stupid MonoFreddy heads, he's asking if we found a way out!" he exclaims.

Fritz and Cassidy's mouths formed "O"s before turning back towards Gabe. "Yeah, sorry man, we haven't found anything yet," says the former.

"Yes." Cassidy taps the gate with a hand. "This gate is sealed tight and the controls to open it aren't anywhere nearby."

"I say we find something big and heavy and use it to bust it down!" Alec hits one of his hands with a fist.

The Ultimate Golden Girl quickly shook her head. "No Alec, that's strictly against the rules."

The tall boy looked at her confused. "What rules?"

Cassidy held up her HandPass which turned on to the rules section. "Rule four says causing any property damage to the building isn't allowed and will result in instant punishment."

Gabe remembered that MonoFreddy did tell everyone to check the rules on their devices, but he hadn't actually done so. Well, it wouldn't hurt to see what they were unless he wanted to suffer his captor's wrath for accidentally breaking them. He along with everyone minus Cassidy pulled out their HandPasses and checked the rules.

Rule #1: Participants are only allowed to participate within the Pizzaplex. Leaving at any time before winning is prohibited.

Rule #2: "Nighttime" is from 10 pm to 7 am. Some areas like the kitchen are off-limits at night, so please exercise caution.

Rule #3: Sleeping anywhere other than the dormitory is prohibited and those in violation to this will be punished accordingly.

Rule #4: Violence against MonoFreddy is strictly prohibited, as is destruction of Fazbear Entertainment property. Violation of this rule will result in immediate punishment

Rule #5: With minimal restrictions, you are free to explore Freddy Fazbear's Mega Pizzaplex at your discretion.

Rule #6: No pooping on the floor.

"What the heck is that last rule?!" Gabe thinks to himself once he'd finished reading the rules. Everyone else had finished so as well with Alec gritting his teeth. "Dang, so we really can't bust down this gate," he complained.

"Would we even find anything durable enough to break it anyways?" Susie asked.

Fritz lowers his HandPass. "Say, what do you think it means that we'll be 'punished' if we violate the rules?" he asks.

Gabe pales at the thought but decides to voice his ideas anyways. "Well, considering the fact that we're in a 'killing game', my best guess is that MonoFreddy will hurt us. Or maybe even..." the boy trails off, not wanting to finish his sentence. The other four however understood what he was going to say and pale as well.

"Oh..." Fritz says, his eyes shifting about nervously.

"I propose we find a way out of here quickly that won't result in brute force," Cassidy suggested.

Alec nods his head in agreement. "Yeah, maybe we can find something that can push the gate up without breaking it?"

The three continued to inspect the area, since they had it covered, Gabe and Susie decided to look somewhere else. The two passed by the Glamrock Freddy statue once more, however, something caught Gabe's eye that he failed to notice the first time. Reaching into the plants, he pulled out what appeared to be a plush toy of Freddy, only it was completely gold in color with a purple top hat and bowtie. Inspecting it, Gabe found the initials, E.A written on its left foot. "Strange, I wonder what this was doing here?" he questions to himself.

"Come on Gabe!" Susie beckoned, having gotten far ahead of him.

Gabe quickly caught up to her and the pair continued wandering about, soon passing another giant gold statue, this one being Glamrock Chica. The area was darkened with neon decorations in the shape of music notes, cupcakes, lightning bolts, and stars illuminating in pastel colors. Around were glass displays showing off the instruments of the Glamrock animatronics, each one having a little plaque explaining who they belonged to. There were even neon signs in the shape of the Glamrock stars, Freddy, Chica, Roxy, and Montgomery above a single door. On the wall by the door were several drawings made by children. Gabe tried to open the door, however it was locked. After stepping away from it he took notice of the pictures, one of them in particular got his interest. It was a picture of Freddy singing into his mic, but there was something oddly familiar about it.

"These are creepy..."

"Really? I think they're kind of funny!"

Gabe looked over to see both Evan and Elizabeth standing a few feet away looking at some cutouts. He and Susie decided to interact with them. "What'd you guys find?" the latter asked as they approached them.

Elizabeth jerked her thumbs at the cutouts. "We found these things you poke your head through so you can pretend to be the characters," she explains with a chuckle.

Evan timidly twiddled his fingers. "Except, they're really creepy..." he mumbles.

Gabe looked at the cutouts and raised an eyebrow. With the exception of the Bonnie in a suit sitting on some pumpkins while playing his guitar, the other three were strange. One of them was of Freddy, only he looked detreated. His colors were a moldy green and there were scratches and marks all over his body, one of his ears were also missing. The second cutout was a character Gabe had never seen before. Its body was made up of twisted metal and wires, acting like a human's muscles under the skin. Around the neck was twisted metal forming a collar that clowns typically wore, a big red button over it. As if to add more to the clown astatic, there was a party hat on its head and was holding balloons in its left hand.

The last cutout made Gabe do a double take.

It was another Bonnie, but not like the first one. This one was completely black save for its eyes which were completely white, lacking any pupils. There were two rows of squares with a black space in between to show that its mouth was open. It was rising from a tombstone as if a horrible creature brought back from the dead. Evan was right, these things are creepy.

Susie didn't seem too disturbed by the cutout characters, inspecting them closely. "These sort of look like Halloween decorations," she says.

"Halloween decorations?" Gabe repeated.

"Yeah." The blonde girl pointed at each character when mentioning them. "Bonnie is a vampire, Freddy is a Frankenstein I think, this metal guy is a clown, and I think that Bonnie in the back looks like some shadow monster."

"That's pretty cool, but why are there Halloween decorations out now?" Elizabeth asks, putting a hand to her chin. "It's the middle of June. Unless they're trying to do some Christmas in July stunt..."

Evan wasn't paying too much to the conversation, trying to avoid looking at the monster characters. That's when he noticed the item in Gabe's hands, eyes widening. "Fredbear?" he asks.

It took Gabe a moment to realize what the younger boy was talking about before looking down at the toy he was holding. "Oh, is this yours?" He holds the golden bear out towards him.

Evan gasps and he takes the toy upon recognizing it as his own, hugging it tightly. "Oh Fredbear, it really is you! I thought I had lost you when I woke up without you!"

"Where did you find him?" Elizabeth asks Gabe.

"He was by the giant Freddy statue at the entrance."

"Weird, how did he end up there?"

"I don't know, but I do know he can still sing." Even squeezes his toy's stomach. The bear began wiggling its hands and feet while rocking his head to and fro as it started to sing.

"I'm here

I'm there

I'm everywhere!

Who you gonna call?

Your friend Fredbear!"

Susie was beaming, hands on her cheeks. "That was so cute!" she gushed.

Gabe was impressed as well, he owned a good collection of Freddy and Friends plushies but none of them could play music. "Is that a special toy?"

The Ultimate Crybaby nods his head. "Yeah, he's based off the first Freddy back when the franchise was just a diner. These Fredbear toys were made and sold for a limited time in the UK to celebrate the series' tenth anniversary. Since our dad is one of the founders, of course he got one which he gave to me when I was a baby."

The UK? That would explain why Gabe has never heard or seen these special Freddy plushies before. It also opened up another tidbit. "You guys are from England?"

"Not us, but our parents are," Elizabeth took over explaining. "They moved here to America after getting married and having Michael."

"Is Michael your older brother?" asks Susie.

"Yep, he's a couple of years older than me, in his final year of high school actually."

A sad expression loomed on Evan's face. "He doesn't like me very much..."

His sister placed a reassuring hand on his back. "Aw, don't say that bro. Of course Michael likes you!"

"Then why is he always so mean to me?"

Sensing this was a private family topic, Susie pulled on Gabe's arm, insisting they leave and explore elsewhere. The two said their goodbyes to the siblings before heading off once more. They returned to the lobby, only this time going up the stairs to the second floor and taking a left, reaching a big red door and another person.

Oswald shook his head and jerked his thumb at the doors. "They're locked tight, won't even budge an inch," he explains.

"What if the three of us all pulled at the same time?" Gabe suggested.

"I doubt it'll work, but trying wouldn't hurt" the Ultimate Sketch Artist shrugged.

The three of them grabbed hold of the door handles and pulled with all their might, grunting as they leaned back. But the doors didn't even wiggle, Oswald being right about them working together not working.

"Well...that's...a shame..." Susie said in between deep breaths, her cheeks were slightly pink from exhaustion.

Oswald tugged on his windbreaker, trying to fan himself on the inside. "Do either of you have a bobby pin or paper clip?" he asks. "Maybe we can pick the lock?"

"We don't, and I don't think that would be a good idea," Gabe says.

"Why's that?"

"BECAUSE IT'D BE A VIOLATION OF THE RULES OF COURSE!"

The three kids gasped as MonoFreddy had seemingly popped out of nowhere and was now standing in front of them. The monochrome bear shook his head at the taller brown-haired boy. "OH OSWALD, OSWALD, OSWALD, I CAN'T BEILIEVE YOU HAVEN'T READ THE RULES YET, YOU'RE THE LAST PERSON I EXPECTED TO DO THAT!"

Oswald had visible confusion on his face, turning towards Gabe and Susie. "What is he talking about?"

"One of the rules says we're not allowed to break or damage the building," explains Susie.

Oswald raises an eyebrow. "But picking a lock isn't doing property damage though, you're just unlocking it, it'll still work fine."

"..."

BEEP! BEEP!

Three sounds came from the children's pockets, pulling out their HandPasses to see that the rules section had been updated.

Rule #7: Additional rules may be added whenever so no bitching about them.

Rule #8: Picking locked doors is the same as doing property damage and doing so will result in punishment.

Oswald lowered his device, narrowing his eyes at the animatronic. "There has to be something important behind these doors that you're willing to add this new rule.

MonoFreddy shook his head, waving a hand. "OH NO, NO, THERE ISN'T ANYTHING BEHIND THESE DOORS EXCEPT A BALCONY TO LOOK DOWN AT THE FIRST FLOOR."

"Really?" Susie asked.

The half and half bear twiddled its fingers. "WELL... YOU CAN GO DEEPER INTO THE PIZZAPLEX, BUT I WON'T BE UNLOCKING THEM UNTIL YOU ALL EARNED IT." With nothing else left to say, the bear backflipped over the railing, disappearing when the kids looked over the edge.

"He's gone again," Gabe said in disbelief.

"It's like Greg said when we were at the stage earlier, there must be hidden passages for Freddy to enter and leave rooms whenever he wants," Oswald says. The boy tugs on his windbreaker and looks at the parallel side. "I've already checked the other side and the doors are locked as well."

Gabe put his hands to his hips. "Then it looks like we can't really explore the second floor then."

"Yeah, but I'll sweep through the area one more time just in case I missed something during my first combing."

Gabe and Susie nodded in understanding before going back down the stairs to the first floor. "Hey Gabe, do you mind if we take a quick break?" the girl asked. "I need to use the bathroom."

"Oh, uh...sure," the boy responds.

The two headed towards the restrooms where Susie went inside the Ladies' side while Gabe patiently waited outside. Across from the bathrooms were some vending machines and in front of them was Jeremy, Gabe decided to chat with him for a bit. "Hey Jeremy," Gabe called out.

The boy with glasses turned his head back and a small smile appeared on his lips. "Hello Gabe, are you done searching around?" the Ultimate Nature Lover asked.

"Not yet, just waiting for Susie in the bathroom." Gabe eyed the vending machines. "You thinking of getting something?"

Jeremy's smile dropped. "I am hungry, but I don't have any money to buy anything."

"NOT TO WORRY KIDDO!"

MonoFreddy popped up in front of the boys causing them to jump back with a cry. The half-and-half bear patted one of the food dispensers. "THESE VENDING MACHINES ARE DIFFERENT FROM YOUR AVERAGE RUN OF THE MILL ONES YOU HAVE AT MALLS. NOT ONLY ARE THE SNACKS FAZBEAR MADE ORIGINALS, BUT THEY'RE ALL FREE!"

Jeremy's eyes widened at this revelation. "They're free...seriously?" he asked, making sure he heard right.

MonioFreddy nodded. "YEP! THEY'RE FREE OF CHARGE, ALL YOU HAVE TO DO IS HOLD UP YOUR HANDPASS SCREEN TO THE SCANNER THEN ENTER IN THE COMBINATION FOR THE FOOD YOU WANT AND BINGO, SNACK TIME! AND THERE'S NO LIMIT ON HOW MUCH YOU TAKE, THESE MACHINES GET REFILLED CONSTANTLY SO YOU CAN CHOW DOWN UNTIL YOU DIE FROM DIABITES!"

Jeremy pulled out his HandPass and had it up to the vending machine the moment their captor finished talking and proceeded to push several buttons. Many snacks and drinks dropped down to the slot and the boy happily collected them, his arms overfilled. Gabe watched him with an uncertain expression, hoping the boy wouldn't try to attempt to consume everything in one sitting.

The nature lover was smiling as if he'd robbed a candy store, which in a way he did sort of. He looked over at Gabe. "Oh, do you want one?" He lifted his full arms a bit, referring to the food he was carrying.

"Uh...sure?" Gabe replied. Slowly, he reached over and took a bag, Freddy's Cheese Chrunchies. "You're not going to eat all of that at once, are you?"

"Oh no, I'm going to eat this accordingly," Jeremy replies, Gabe mentally sighing in relief. With that done with, the black haired boy walked off, leaving the brown haired boy standing there.

"That was weird..." he thought to himself as he went back to the restrooms.

A LITTLE EARLIER

"You are such a klutz!"

"I said I was sorry..."

These were the first things Susie heard the moment she set foot into the girl's bathroom. Inside were Jessica and Sarah, the former was glaring harshly at the latter who was looking down at floor, squirming on the spot.

Jessica had her arms crossed, letting out a huff before continuing to speak. "You are so lucky you didn't break anything, otherwise I'd give you such hell, you flat potato!" she seethed.

"I-I'm sorry..." Sarah dejected, her mood saddening upon hearing flat potato once again.

"Um, what's going on?" Susie interrupted, getting the older girls' attention.

The Ultimate Coder pointed at the Ultimate Beauty. "Miss Twinkle Toes here smacked me in the face with a stall door!" the former explained.

Sarah squeezed her eyes shut, trying to hold back the tears. "I'm really sorry, Jessica! I didn't hear or see you come in! It was an accident, I swear!"

Jessica scoffed. "Yeah, I'm sure that's what your parents said the night you were conceived."

Susie looked at the older blonde, her mouth pulling into a firm line. "Sarah seems really sincere in her apology, can't you just accept it and stop yelling at her?" she asked.

The older blonde sighed, rolling her eyes. "Look, Susie, was it? If I went through life accepting every first apology someone gave me when they screwed up, I wouldn't be where I am today. If your parents burnt your breakfast, wouldn't you be pissed?"

The younger girl shook her head. "Not really, I actually like my food a little burnt."

Jessica wrinkled her nose at the comment. "Look the point I'm trying to make is that you can't be so easy in forgiving everything all the time. You'll become a pushover and be everyone's doormat." With that she left the bathroom, leaving the other girls behind.

Susie turned back to Sarah and offered her a paper towel as a tissue. "Are you alright?" she asks.

The overall girl accepted the paper towel and blew her nose. "Well, Jessica calling me a flat potato really hurt my feelings..."

Susie shook her head. "Ignore it, she only said that to get under your skin."

"But it's true though." Sarah wrapped her arms around her torso. "I-I'm not pretty like her, or Brooke, Millie, or Charlotte."

Susie placed a hand on her shoulder. "Hey, don't say that! We're all beautiful in our own way and we shouldn't let others tell us otherwise."

Sarah sniffed before a smile spread across her face. "Thanks Susie, I'm feeling a little better now."

The blonde girl smiled brightly at her. "Aw, it's nothing! If you ever need cheering up just come and find me!"

The teen in overalls nodded before leaving the bathroom, leaving Susie all by herself. "Wait, why did I come in- Oh yeah!" She hurried into a stall and did her business.

As Gabe returned to the restrooms, Susie had just come out. "Sorry if I made you wait too long, I was chatting with Jessica and Sarah," she explained.

"It's cool, I was chatting with Jeremy myself," Gabe replies, biting down on a few cheese puffs, getting the girl's attention.

"Where'd you get that from?"

"It's a bit of a story, I'll tell you while we walk."

The two set off once again and by the time Gabe finishes recalling his interaction with Jeremy, they were in another hallway with two more of their companions. Standing in the middle of the hall was Gregory and Charlotte, staring at the opposing walls away from each other, the younger boy noticing the new arrivals first. "Oh, hey you guys!" he calls out.

"Hey Greg," Gabe says as he and Susie approach the pair. "Did you or Charlotte find anything?"

"Yes, we found what appears to be the place where we'll be sleeping," Charlotte explains, pointing at the door in front of her. Gabe followed her finger and saw the plaque on the door had a picture of Charlotte on it with her name, only it looked like a sprite from a video game. The boy looked at the other doors and saw that they all had their names and pictures on them.

"Why would an arcade need rooms to sleep in?" Susie asked while tilting her head

"Most likely are captor is the one responsible for this change, meaning they're serious about keeping us here if they made individual rooms for each of us," Gregory says, crossing his arms.

"Well at least they have some decency, I'll give them that," Gabe shrugs. "What are the rooms like?"

Charlotte looks down at her. "For the most part it seems the location of furniture is virtually the same. The major difference is the theming."

"Huh, what do you mean?" Gabe asked.

"All of our stuff is based on one of the characters from the Fazbear franchise," Gregory explains. "My room is based off Glamrock Freddy and Charlotte's is based on Marionette."

"Marionette, who's that?" Susie raises an eyebrow.

"The Marionette was the first ever animatronic based on a puppet, which some people refer to her as," Gabe explains. "Her job was to hand out prizes at the prize counter and keep kids safe at the pizzerias. She's actually the third animatronic Fazbear Entertainment has ever made so she's actually older than Freddy Fazbear. I don't know why they stopped using her in the pizzerias nowadays, something about people finding her too creepy?"

"Creepy, what does she look like then?" Gregory questions.

Gabe put his fingers to his chin, trying to find the words to describe the Puppet. "Well, she's really slender, and black. And she has on a mask with clown makeup on."

Charlotte smiled at the boy's accurate description of her favorite animatronic. "You know a lot about Freddy's Pizzeria, don't you?" she giggles.

Gabe's cheeks flushed red and he looks away. "Oh well, yeah, I do know some things about the franchise..."

"Then how about I tell you something else? Despite the Marionette's appearance, it's actually a boy."

"Wait, seriously?" Gabe's eyes widened, he hadn't known that.

"Yeah, it's a pretty understandable mistake to make considering the lipstick on his mask."

"Wait, so how do you know he's a he then?"

The oldest captive was about to reveal it when Gregory interrupted her. "We don't have time to be talking about this! Have either of you guys found something to get us out of here?"

Susie shook her head. "Sorry, we haven't, and neither has anyone else we ran into."

"Great..." Gregory sighs, running a hand through his brown hair.

"Hey, don't fret! Just because we didn't find anything now doesn't mean we won't later!"

"Susie's right, I think there's one area left that we haven't searched and that's the dining area," Gabe nods his head.

Together, the four of them traveled to the dining area which wasn't too far from the dorms. The place was quite big as you could imagine with a sea of tables and chairs set up for hundreds of families to eat at. On the walls were giant stickers of the Glamrock Animatronics, each of them eating or drinking something, especially Chica who had her beak stuffed with all sorts of items. It was really weird to see the place so barren, none of the tables were occupied, except for one.

Millie was eating a sandwich, by the looks of it, it had tomatoes and lettuce, lacking any sort of meat. The group approached her. "Were you seriously here the whole time eating?" Gregory asks, an annoyed tone in his voice.

The Ultimate Goth furrowed her eyebrows, raising the uneaten sandwich up. "No, if you must know, I had been searching for a way out of here when I found this place and the kitchen, so I thought I would stop for a lunch break," she explains. "Is that a crime?"

"No, it's not," Susie spoke up before Gregory did to avoid any argument. "Did you make that sandwich yourself? I'm kind of hungry."

Millie pointed behind her. "Yeah, the kitchen's right there. But watch out, those two are in there."

Gabe and the others were confused by what she meant by that, the four of them entered the kitchen to see the last two people Gabe and Susie haven't run into yet.

"...a little of this, some of that, and done!" Dylan declared, holding a plate with two delicious looking BLT sandwiches on it.

Brooke clasped her hands together, a big smile on her pink lips. "Oh Dylan, how are you so good at making sandwiches?" she asked.

"Probably because I love BLTs so much, lucky the fridge had everything we needed," the redhead shrugs. He then noticed that they weren't alone anymore. "Oh, hey guys! You come here to eat too?"

Gregory opened his mouth to protest, but Susie covered it and answered instead. "Sure did! We couldn't find anything useful in getting out of here so we decided to stop for a lunch break."

"Well there's plenty of ingredients to use," spoke Brooke. "It appears the fridge and pantry restock itself every time you take something out."

"Yeah, I forgot to get the lettuce the first time so when I opened the fridge again, I saw that the tomatoes had been replaced with new ones," Dylan explained.

"So it seems we won't run out of food, interesting," Charlotte mused to herself.

"Well that's good at least. Say, do you guys want me to make you sandwiches as well? My BLTs are to die for," Dylan says.

"Thanks Dylan, but we'll make our own food," Gabe spoke. "You and Brooke can go eat."

The couple nodded before leaving the kitchen, Susie then turned to the other three. "I bet you everyone else will be hungry too, we should make lunch for them!" she suggested.

"I guess since we're already here, it wouldn't hurt to do so," Gregory rubbed the nape of his neck, giving up on trying to convince the others to continuing searching. "But I'm not really much of a cook..."

"It's alright, you can handle drinks then," Susie instructed. "Gabe, you make sandwiches, and Charlie, you handle the oven."

The oldest participant raised an eyebrow. "The oven? What are you going to do then?" she asks.

"I'm going to make the best food in the whole world: pizza!" The blonde girl stretched out her arms. "I'm going to make pizzas, lots of pizzas for everyone!"

With everyone getting assigned a task, the four of them got to work on preparing the food. Gabe and Susie both went to the fridge and pantry and gathered the ingredients they needed, Charlotte preheated the oven, and Gregory grabbed several cups by the soda dispenser. "Hey, what drinks should I give everyone?" he asks.

"What do they have?" Susie asks back, kneading dough on the counter.

"Uh, they have normal stuff like Coke and Mountain Dew, but then they have these Fazbear flavors like Freddy's Root Beer, Bonnie's Berry Splash, stuff like that."

"Give everyone Coke, but give me the Berry Splash," Gabe instructs. "It's basically Grape Fanta."

"Oh, I love Grape Fanta!" Susie cheers. "Give me one too!"

"If they have diet Pepsi, I'd like some please," Charlotte added.

Gregory furrowed his eyebrows. "You know what? Have about you guys get your own drinks and I'll just focus on the Coke for everyone else."

As they were working, they moved all around the kitchen, it was what allowed Gabe to make another discovery. "What is this?" he asks aloud, gathering the other three around him. They stood in front of a small alcove with a giant metal press above it. An instructional sign was next to the small space, Charlotte stepping up to read it. "It says here that this is a trash compactor,"

"A trash compactor?" Susie repeated.

"Yes, the chefs are supposed to toss garbage here where it'll get crushed and pushed down to the garbage area in the basement," Charlotte continued to read the sign.

A look of horror spread across Gabe's face. "That sounds dangerous! What if someone got caught in there while the crusher is going down? That's a serious safety hazard!" the boy expressed his concerns.

"Actually, that's not really a problem. It says that the compressor has a scanner that detects the heat of any living being. If the machine even detects a person's foot inside, it'll shut off automatically."

"So no one will accidentally get crushed? That's a relief," Susie sighs.

"Yeah well, I think it'd be better if it was just a normal chute," Gabe says.

After some time, they finished preparing the food for everybody, putting the pizzas in pizza boxes and the sandwiches and drinks on serving tray. Working together they brought everything out into the dining area in one go, everyone else having already arrived.

"Oh, so you four were in there?" asks Sarah.

Fritz eyed the abundance of pizza boxes, his eyes going wide and a happy grin on his lips. "Did you make all these for us? Awesome!" he cheers.

"Yep, come on everybody! Grab a slice and a drink!" Susie tells everyone.

The participants of the killing game either grabbed some slices of pizza or a sandwich before gathering around at a table to eat. Everyone ate for a bit before the eldest one there decided to mention the elephant in the room. "So, did anyone find anything that'll aid us in our escape?" Charolette asks.

Alec shook his head. "Cassidy, Fritz, and I couldn't get the gate open to the main exit open," he announces.

"Yes, I'm afraid it was closed tightly," Cassidy added.

"I found some sort of daycare area to the right side of the Freddy statue," Sarah informs everyone, taking a sip of her drink before continuing. "It's a giant ball pit with slides and other little kids stuff."

"I found jack and shit," states Jessica, not looking up from her sandwich.

"You found someone named Jack?" asked Evan.

"Along with poop? Ew..." Elizabeth wrinkles her nose.

Brooke rolls her eyes, wishing the Ultimate Coder was more filtered with her language. "It's just an expression you two, it means she didn't find anything either," she explains to the siblings who both went, "Oh" in understanding.

Everyone else reported the areas they discovered, though nothing seemed like it would aid in helping them out in escaping the Pizzaplex. "So that's it then?" questions Millie. "We're going to be stuck here forever?"

Dylan glared at her. "Don't say that! Our families and the authorities are obviously looking for us!" he declares.

Gabe noticed that Gregory seemed to tense up at the mention of their families looking for them, however it was only for an instant and he went back to chewing on his pizza.

"Well if someone is trying to save us, they sure are taking their sweet time," Jessica complains, crossing her arms. "They have to know we're still in here since it's the last place we were seen before getting kidnap. Why doesn't the military use a tank or bomb or something to blow a hole in the entrance?"

"Heck yeah!" Fritz was excited of the idea of something being blown up. "We may not be allowed to break stuff in here, but the people on the outside can!"

"No, I don't believe they'll do that," Charlotte shook her head. "They wouldn't want to risk hurting us since they don't know where exactly in the building we are."

Oswald nodded in agreement. "Plus an explosion might make the whole structure unstable," he added. "I know this place is giant, but we don't know how long it'll hold up if a chunk of it went missing in an explosion."

"So we just sit around and wait to be rescued?" Alec asks.

"That's basically all we can do at this point, since it seems like we can't find a way out of here," Brooke sighs, stirring around the ice from her finished drink.

"In that case, I propose that we make rules of our own." Everyone stared at Charlotte in confusion or surprise. "I'm only suggesting them as a way to put ease in our minds given the situation we're in."

"Okay, what's your first rule?" Alec asked.

"Since nighttime starts at ten I believe it'd be better if we were all in our rooms at that time."

"Aw what, a curfew? Lame!" Jessica whines.

"I'm not saying you have to be asleep, I'm only suggesting we all be in our rooms by that time. Nighttime is when our nerves will be at their highest, so being in a safe locked room should put our minds at ease for the most part."

Gabe looked around at the other kids and teens. They were all young, and to think it would be possible for one of them to become a killer was enough to make him nearly lose his appetite.

"The second and last rule I want to propose is that we all meet here at eight for breakfast," Charlotte continued. "We'll eat together and report any discoveries we make to one another."

"I like that idea," Susie beams brightly.

"Yes, eating together with lots of friends is such a fun bonding experience," Cassidy says, smiling as well.

There some people, such as Jessica, Millie, and Alec who didn't look too on board about meeting up together with everyone else, however none of them voiced their opinion. After that was all done, everyone soon finished eating and broke off into pairs or going off by themselves. Gabe threw away his trash and saw that it was 8PM. "Hm, I have a bit of time left before nighttime," he thought to himself. "Maybe I could hang out with someone until then?"

FREE TIME START!

The cafeteria was practically empty with two people minus Gabe staying back. Oswald was sitting at the table drawing in a sketchbook he found and Susie was eating the leftover pizza, all three boxes of it... The Ultimate Sketch Artist seemed in the zone on whatever he was working on, however, Gabe decided to spend time with him as he already hung out with Susie plenty as they were exploring the Pizzaplex. He sat right across from him. "Hey, Oswald, what are you drawing?" he asked once seated.

The taller brown haired boy looked up at him briefly before looking back down at his paper. "Eh, nothing in particular, whatever comes to my mind first," he responds. The two of them sat there quietly, Gabe watching Oswald make several sketches over the span of time. The boy in the windbreaker blew away some eraser shavings before presenting the notebook to Gabe. "What do you think?"

The moment Gabe saw the page he gasped in amazement. Oswald had sketched some very realistic animals with robotic limbs, each pencil stroke carefully adding vivid detail and shading. It was hard to believe that a twelve-year old had made this, but Gabe had just witnessed it firsthand. "This...is incredible!" he exclaims. "Like, wow, this is the sort of stuff you'd see in the end of comics where they show off the artwork."

Oswald smiled at the compliment. "Thanks, it's nothing special though," he responds.

"Nothing special?" Gabe was taken aback by this claim. "You could seriously go pro if you wanted to! You could make your own comic or have people commission you."

The taller boy chuckles. "I appreciate the compliments, but sketching is just a hobby of mine. I don't know if I really want to make a career out of it."

"How did you get into sketching anyhow?"

Oswald put the eraser end of his pencil to his mouth, thinking about how to tell his story. "It's not all that interesting. One day it was raining pretty hard so I couldn't go outside and there wasn't anything good on TV. On the dining table, someone had left a pencil and paper for some reason, so I thought I could draw to entertain myself. At first it wasn't anything serious, just a few random doodles, but then my mom walks in and she goes, 'Wow, Oswald! That's really good!' So then she leaves and brings back a stack of paper for me to draw on. I was sort of confused, but I was actually enjoying doodling so I kept at it for several hours. I ended up using the whole stack of papers."

"Wow, what a story," Gabe awed.

"My mom kept every single one of those drawings, she keeps them in her and dad's bedroom and I think she has a few of them at her job at the hospital. I guess if it weren't for her, I wouldn't be sketching as a hobby." The boy in the windbreaker let out a yawn and stretched back in his chair. "Huh, I'm more tired than I thought. I'm going to head to my room, it was fun hanging out, Gabe."

Gabe said his goodbyes and left the cafeteria as well. He made his way over to the dormitories where he saw Gregory standing in the middle of the hall. "Hey, Greg, why are you standing out here for?" Gabe asked upon approaching him.

The other brown haired boy turned towards him. "I'm watching to make sure everyone is in their rooms before nighttime starts," he answers.

Gabe raises an eyebrow. "Why, is Charlie making you do this?"

"No, it's just..." the boy with the bandage on his face sighs before continuing. "Look, all of us here are young for the most part and we know what's right from wrong. That being said, we're being forced to kill one another to escape a place we're trapped in. Who's to say one of us won't turn face and murder somebody?"

Gabe pales, but stood his ground. "D-Don't say that! We will find a way out of here before something like that can happen!"

"Your optimism is great, but kind of stupid. Even if there is a way out, MonoFreddy or whoever is controlling him might have found it and already gotten rid of it." Gabe was about to open his mouth to say something, however Gregory stopped him with a raised hand. "And before you say, 'We won't kill each other!' again, let me just say this: with the right motivation, anyone can become a killer."

Gabe was confused about what he had just heard. "The right motivation, you mean escaping, right?"

"No, I'm not just talking about getting out of the Pizzaplex. Something tells me that robot bear has some things planned if nobody is dead within a few days."

There was a pregnant pause, it was so quiet you can hear a pin drop. Gregory relaxed a bit. "Sorry if I scarred you there, I'm just warning you to keep your guard up so you don't end up making a mistake that can cost you your life."

"Right... Thanks?"

Gabe headed into his room, Gregory watching him until the door was shut and locked. Gabe was surprised by his room upon first glance. There was a bed, a night stand, and a door leading to a bathroom, pretty standard stuff. There was a TV montior on the wall across the bed, however Gabe was sure he wouldn't be able to watch shows on it. What really stood out was the theming.

As Gregory and Charlotte had told him earlier, all the rooms were based off of an animatronic and it appeared that Gabe got Freddy, his favorite character. The brown bear was plastered everywhere around the room, on the blankets, posters, there was even a plushie of him on the nightstand. Gabe had to admit that he was impressed, this room had more Freddy's merchandise than his own bedroom.

The boy went over to the nightstand and opened the drawer, inside was a microphone that looked exactly like the one Freddy uses. Picking it up, Gabe carefully inspected it, seeing a small red button on the front. Pressing it, something popped out from the bottom catching him off guard. It was a knife blade, several inches long and quite sharp, Gabe nearly cut himself from not being careful. He pushed the button once more and the blade retracted back inside the mic, he put it back inside the drawer and closed it.

"A microphone that's actually a knife, why do I have this?" the boy thought to himself. "Do the others have something similar in their rooms?"

He decided not to think about it too much, instead going into his bathroom to shower. After finishing and wrapping himself up in a towel, he went to the closet and saw dozens of clothes identical to the one he was wearing today. shirts that had toy Freddy's buttoned torso and bowtie and black shorts. These must've been provided by MonoFreddy, but why all the exact same? Whatever, Gabe grabbed a set and put them on, not wanting to sleep nude. When he finished pulling down his shirt, a chime from the intercom to the tune of Toreador March played and the TV flickered on. The screen showed MonoFreddy at a desk, a night cap replacing his top hat with a mug of warm milk in his metal hands.

"ATTENTION EVERYONE, IT IS NOW TEN O' CLOCK. NIGHTTIME HAS OFFICALLY BEGUN!" the bear announced. "REMEMBER, THE KITCHEN IS CLOSED NOW AND WON'T BE AVAILABLE UNTIL MORNING. SO SLEEP TIGHT, DON'T LET THE BED BUGS BITE!"

The TV shut off, leaving Gabe to his own thoughts. "It's already ten? Wow, never stayed up this late except for New Year's..." he said to himself. The boy hopped into bed and closed his eyes, he wasn't really tired, but he forced himself to sleep regardless.

For some reason, he had a feeling that tomorrow would provide a new challenge for him and everyone else to overcome.
