Chapter 1: Time and time again..
A cold breeze flew by as yellow flower petals were lifted from the ground.
A human decided to follow those petals yet again, just like she always does..
Or well hasn't done yet technically..
This human had the power to go back in time.
Each time she died or decided to reset time she was brought back to the surface.
There she would spent a couple of day's sometimes weeks, or sometimes just mere hours before she grew bored and decided to drop down Mt. Ebott once again.
She also had the power to save and load.
Just like a video game, she would walk up to a glowing star that only those with determination can see.
But because she has such high amounts of determination she can also use them to save.
And later on she can load back to that point of time.
How exactly does it work? Why does it exist? Where did it come from? Nobody knows..
So Frisk, the human in question..
Walked up the oh so familiar trail..
Sat down on the edge, doubting whether to continue on not..
"Do it.." A voice echoed.
That voice was Chara..
She's a human that died a long time ago.
However her determination kept her from vanishing from existence.
She was now forced to haunt whatever human fell down mount Ebott.
Frisk has been her host for many timelines now.
The two of them had been through a lot together.
"Come on partner, don't chicken out now. We are so close to uncovering more secrets." Chara stated.
"Chara that I don't want to do this anymore.." Frisk replied
To which Chara scoffed "Too bad, you started this!"
Frisk knows all too well that Chara wants another genocide run.
It really is funny how things go..
Once upon a time Chara was against the idea of genocide and Frisk was the one who decided to do so anyway.
But now.. Chara tries to take control over Frisk and force her to commit genocide.
Frisk didn't want to kill anymore.. she'd rather do a neutral run or better yet a pacifist run.
Neutral is when she kills some or isn't able to save some..
Pacifist is where she saves all monsters and they get to go back to the surface.
You see, a long time ago monsters were driven underground by humans.
During an all out war, humans were scared of monsters since they wield magic.
And if a monster were to contain a human soul with their determination they could become absolute god like.
So with the darkened fear in their hearts humans drove the monsters not only into mount Ebott but also to near extinction.
Frisk took one last deep breath before finally jumping down.
The fall seemed strangely longer than usual.
Was something wrong? Did they reset too many times? Questions like that flashed by as Frisk finally saw the flowerbed getting nearer.
And with a hard thud she had landed.
"Ow.." Frisk slowly got up and looked at her surroundings.
"That's weird.. It seems to be a lot darker than usual.." Chara stated as she made herself visible to Frisk again and also looked around.
"Where's Flowey?…" Frisk asked as Chara turned to her.
Just when Chara wanted to respond a voice was heard.
It was like a soft low whisper.
Both Frisk and Chara tried to figure out what it was saying and where it was coming from.
But it seemed almost impossible.
The whisper became so intense that it almost sounded like multiple people were whispering.
Yet all with the same voice.
"I-I don't like this.." Chara stated as she flew closer to Frisk.
"Don't like what?" A voice suddenly said as the whispers subsided.
"AAAAAAAAH!" Both Chara and Frisk got jump scared by the mischievous voice.
Chara was the one who screamed while Frisk fell down in shock.
Of cause Flowey couldn't see or hear Chara, only Frisk could.
"Oh golly, I'm sorry! Didn't know you'd respond like that. Anyway I'm Flowey, Flowey the flower! Of cause you already know that, but it is still my duty to say it." Flowey said as he helped Frisk back up.
"Anyway how about we cut right to the chase. Catch my friendly pellets would you not?" Flowey smirked as he summoned his 'Friendly pellets'..
Of cause they weren't actually friendly, it was his usual magic attack.
He'd always use them too fool around with the human a but before Toriel blasts him away with one of her fireballs.
This time was no exception.
As if on cue, the kind and caring lady Toriel caretaker of the ruins showed up and blasted Flowey away.
"My child are you alright? Did he hurt you? Such an awful creature that was." Toriel said as she walked towards Frisk.
It's kind of funny how Toriel called her own reincarnated son an awful creature.
Of cause she doesn't know what Flowey is.
She doesn't know that Flowey is alive thanks to determination and her son's memories.
You might have heard this all before but Asriel (Toriel's son) died a long time ago.
His ashes fell onto some flowers.
Then a scientist took the flower with them and in an attempt to resurrect the dead infused it with determination.
The scientist thought it was a failure and threw away the flower, not knowing that over time it did in fact come to life as a monster.
Without a human soul monsters can't wield determination unless they wanna risk melting and becoming an amalgamate or simply turning to dust. (dusting is dying for monsters.)
Anyhow, back to the story at hand.
Toriel guided the human partially through the ruins as usual.
And as usual she told the human to wait while she went up ahead.
So naturally Frisk continued on her own, not waiting as Toriel had asked.
Frisk didn't want to do another genocide but Chara wasn't having any of it.
She seemed unusually.. disturbed.. active and angry.
Frisk could tell that she wasn't being herself despite always being a bit aggressive.
When Frisk ran into the first monster she tried to spare him.
But Chara had already taken over.
Frisk couldn't believe what was happening, normally Chara would take over at the end of their run.
And the way she moved Frisk's body felt different too.
Almost as if both Frisk and Chara were being controlled by some unseen force.
Not only that but the black goo that would leak from Chara's eye's at the end of a genocide run was also already there.
And it was getting worse fast.
Before Frisk even got the time to try and take back control the poor Froggit monster had already turned to dust.
Frisk couldn't regain control no matter how much she tried.
And before she knew it.. she was already in front of Toriel's house.
Frisk finally managed to get control over her body back.
"What was that Chara?" Frisk asked out loud.
But she got no response.
She tried calling for Chara another time.. nothing.
Chara didn't respond at all.
As if she was asleep or knocked out.
"As if things couldn't get any weirder.." Frisk thought to herself.
With a pain in her stomach and a sick feeling from all the dust she just witnessed she decided to move on.. since.. there wasn't much else she could do.
Toriel noticed Frisk had walked in and as usual she welcomed them with open arms.
And as usual she was making butterscotch cake
(So that's it for now, I still need to add more and remove some grammer mistakes)
