Okay, I'm in the middle of writing a really long non-Vocaloid story. So I thought wouldn't it be great if I write a Vocaloid story at the same time as a side thing. This story is based on xxHazukiixx's fanart on Deviantart, which in itself is based on the song Mistletoe. However, don't get the wrong idea, this story isn't based on that song. It's only based on that fanart, and that fanart alone. Without further ado, let's just get to the story. I hope you guys like it.

Conflict is something that never makes the people happy. It creates a sort of tension, that causes confrontation, and confrontation usually leads to violence. This is a story of two kingdoms, isolated from the rest of the world. They hate eachother, and their disdain knows no boundaries. Thousands of years ago, the two countries lived in peace. But Blue Oak, the kingdom with magic water powers, was getting stronger and stronger. The Gui Vermillion, the kingdom with magic fire powers started feeling insecure. Which lead to Gui Vermillion attacking Blue Oak. After that attack, the two countries have been in proxy conflict for thousands of years. They've fought a ridiculous amount of wars with one another, with both sides gaining victories once in a while, but the wars usually ended in stalemates. The people of Blue Oak are called oaks, they have magic water powers and are weak to fire. The people of Gui Vermillion are called vermillions, they have fire powers and are weak to water. This power dynamic often makes their fights super even.

Blue Oak is the kingdom of water. It's a female dominated society. Female oaks have on average significantly more powerful water magic compared to male oaks. It has always been a super misandrist society that treats men as inferior and second-class citizens, due to how much more powerful the womens' magic powers are. It's full of matriarchal systems and laws. The lead monarch can only be a queen and her husband is only seen as a way to make children, just like most male oaks. The male oaks mostly stay at home and handle internal matters, while the female oaks work jobs and handle external matters. On the other hand.

Gui Vermillion is the kingdom of fire. It's a patriarchal male dominated society. Unlike the oaks, male vermillions actually have on average significantly more powerful fire magic compared to female vermillions. Parallel to Blue Oak, Gui Vermillion has always been an extremely misogynistic society that oppresses women due to their less powerful fire magic. The lead monarch can only be a king and his wife is only seen as a way to make children, just like other female vermillions. The female vermillions mostly stay at home and handle internal matters, while the male vermillions work jobs and handle external matters.

Both sides often executes members of the oppressed sex on false treason allegations, while the dominant sex many times gets away with murdering the a member of the oppressed sex in both nations. Regardless, the tension between the two countries is at an all time high, and an upcoming war looks pretty much inevitable.

"We should attack now!" The pink haired warrioress said.

"That might not be a wise strategy." The blonde woman answered.

"But my queen, what if they attacked us first?" The warrioress questioned.

"That's not happening anytime soon," the queen replied "their military is having a lack of resources right now, they aren't capable of attacking us first for the next few months."

"Well, then we should attack them now before they get a good amount of resources again." The warrioress suggested.

"No Luka, I think they have something we don't know about." The queen told her.

"Why do you think that queen Rin?" Luka asked "did someone told you this?"

"It's just my instinct." Rin said.

"Look my queen, I'm the most powerful warrior in Blue Oak, you really don't believe I can handle it?" Luka asked.

"I know you can handle it, I've been queen for two years and you've consistently protected me better than anyone." Rin assured her.

"Then why are you so worried?" Luka was feeling confused.

"Because I don't know if my kingdom can take it." Rin answered.

"But queen Rin, don't you want revenge for your mother?" Luka asked her "He can't just get away after killing your mother."

"I definitely will teach him a lesson for killing my mother, but this isn't the right time." Rin said.

"Very well, as you wish my queen." Luka had no choice but to listen.

"I'm thirsty all the sudden," Rin said "I want orange juice."

Luka saw a maid nearby polishing a table.

"Hey you!" Luka called her "The queen's thirsty, bring her some orange juice."

"Yes your majesty!" The maid said to the queen and went away for her juice.

Fifteen minutes later, the maid returned with the orange juice.

"Here's your orange juice." The maid gave her queen what she ordered.

"Looks amazing," Rin said "you're such a valuable servant Miku, I'm happy to have a maid like you."

"Thank you so much my queen." Miku said and went back to work.

After Miku had left the room, she thought to herself.

"We've doing this for thousands of years. I wish we could have peace with Gui Vermillion. Why do we hate one another so much? I hope I can convince queen Rin, she seems super kind, nothing like the other warmongerers in our country. I just have to trust her. I might just be a maid, but if I don't try, then there'll be no change. Let's just see how this ends."

Miku wasn't super confident on whether she could bring peace or not. But she'd rather try and fail then to not try. Regardless, she's happy to serve a genuinely well-meaning person like Rin.

"This is the proper time to attack your majesty." The purple haired priest said to his king.

"I disagree," his king replied "we're lacking on resources due to some serious economic issues."

"Pffft, who cares about resources when we can just overpower their inferior water magic with fire magic." The priest argued.

"Sorry Gakupo, but power isn't everything," his king countered "we need to outclass them in other areas too."

"I get where you're coming from king Kaito, but my desire for their blood is losing patience." Gakupo told him.

"It doesn't matter," Kaito said "because when we do eventually attack them, we'll tear them to pieces."

"But king Kaito," Gakupo said "are you in any way worried about their queen? You did kill her mother after all."

"That brainless blonde girl is no worry of mine," Kaito assured Gakupo "she's only been queen for two years, I've been king for more than three decades now, which is why I understand what I'm doing better than her."

"Right you are, your majesty." Gakupo smiled.

"Besides, I killed her mother, who was a significantly more dangerous opponent," Kaito said in a cocky voice "she's no match for me."

"I should be going now, all hail our king," Gakupo said and left the room.

"I should be sleeping now." Kaito whispered to himself.

He saw a servant walking by.

"Hey you! Make my bed." Kaito yelled.

"Yes your majesty!" The servant answered.

Half an hour later, Kaito came to his bedroom and was impressed how great his bed looked.

"I gotta say you're one of the best workers I've ever had Len." Kaito complimented his servant.

"Thanks your majesty." Len said with a smile.

"I'm raising your pay." Kaito said.

"Flattered to hear that." Len got happy.

"After we conqueror Blue Oak, I promise I'll promote you." Kaito promised him.

"You're a great king." Len said.

After Len had left the room, he thought to himself.

"Thousands of years of conflict, and it'll be over soon. We'll soon conqueror Blue Oak, and rule it with an iron fist. I can't wait. I'm so hyped about being one of the king's right hand men. After we destroy the oaks, I'm sure he'll let me have some aspects of his luxorious life. I can't wait for us to annihilate them."

Len was super loyal to his nation and wanted to destroy the oaks. He didn't knew what was going to happen to him in the very near future.

"YOU'RE A COMPLETE FAILURE!" She shouted at him.

"I'm sorry ma'am I tried my best." He said scared for his life.

"You aren't good enough," she said "with people like you, we'll never beat our enemies."

"He's sorry ma'am," one of his friends that were training with said "we promise we'll work harder."

"You guys are lame excuses for fighters," she said "we need to crush the oaks, and with people like you, that can't happen."

"Forgive us lady Meiko." They all said in unison.

Meiko was a female vermillion. Despite male vermillion's superiority to female vermillion in fire magic, Meiko's a massive exception. She's the most powerful warrior in Gui Vermillion, by a long margin. If we were to take the top 100 most powerful vermillions, 99 of them would be male, Meiko would be the only female and yet she's the most powerful. The 2nd most powerful vermillion is nowhere near as powerful. Meiko is ridiculously more powerful than him. His fire magic is not even a quarter as deadly as Meiko's fire magic. Despite all this, Meiko's still a woman in a super misogynistic kingdom. She faces constant verbal descrimination, and she just takes it because she's used to it. She fights for her kingdom because despite all the unfair treatment she's gotten, it's still her home and a place she wants to protect. She's currently teaching some new soldiers, and as the way it looks she's not impressed. Suddenly, a servant comes near her.

"Lady Meiko, the king has called you." The servant revealed.

"What could king Kaito want from me?" She said to herself.

I have pretty high hopes for this story. Hope, this improves my writing skills for the upcoming bigger stories I'll write.
