This is the last chapter, I had different plans for how it was gonna be written, but due to real life events I'm now gonna write it differently. Thank you to everyone who read this story.
"What are you doing here Miku." He asked.
"They made me spit out the truth about our meeting, and-" Miku replied, before she could finish, he cut her off.
"How did you escaped?!" He said in a loud and concerned voice "You could've gotten executed."
"Well... queen Rin helped me escape, she's so kind." Miku revealed.
"That's not what I've heard of her, in my kingdom they talk about her in the most negative light possible." Len told her.
"It's all propaganda! She's the sweetest person I've ever met." Miku said.
"I mean, you've met her, I'll take your word for it." He said.
"It's great to see you again Len," she said then suddenly got disturbed by Len's serious face "what's wrong?" She asked.
"You see," he said "your precious queen has declared war."
"LIES!" Miku yelled at him "LIES! LIES! LIES! Your highness would never do that!"
"But she did, and now all that's left for me is conquering Blue Oak and ending this conflict permanently." Len said.
"I can't let you go ahead Len." Miku said.
"You'll have to." Len told her back.
"What will you gain from conquering Blue Oak, is just asserting your power over us worth it?" Miku said.
"You don't get it, do you?" Len said "By conquering Blue Oak, I can condition the vermillions to be nicer to women."
"But what about the oak women?" Miku said.
"I don't care about them, they can go to hell." Len said.
"No Len, you can't do this!" Miku yelled with tears in her eyes.
"Miku, leave me alone, I don't wanna harm you." Len said.
"Why not?" Miku yelled again.
"Because... because I love you." Len admitted.
"GOTCHA!" Gakupo came out from the bush he was hiding in and revealed himself.
"Gakupo! You were spying on me?" Len couldn't believe it.
"Indeed, and now I can finally expose you for being in love with an oak." Gakupo said.
"Who's he?" Miku questioned.
"He's our kingdom's head of clergy, and as much as I hate to say it, he's got me cornered." Len said.
"I'm telling everyone about your feelings for this oak." Gakupo ran away to Gui Vermillion to expose Len.
"I gotta stop him." As Len started running away, his foot slipped on a stick and he fell in a nearby lake.
"LEEEEEN! NOOOOOOO!" Miku screamed.
Len instantly fell under the water without any attempt to swim. He's a vermillion, they're weak to water. He was about to drown and there's no way for a vermillion to survive drowning.
"Don't worry Len, I'm not letting you drown." Miku said.
She did some hand motions, and used her water magic to remove all the water away from the lake. She went inside the now empty lake, grabbed Len on her shoulders and brought him to the surface area. She put him on the groud, back first. Then immediately started giving him a CPR. She pounded his chest a couple times, then she started giving him a few breaths. It felt super awkward to make mouth-to-mouth connection, but she wanted to save him really badly. She kept going with the chest pounds and breaths, suddenly, one chest pound woke him up. She didn't realized and gave him another breath. As her lips touched his, he felt heavely, it was the greatest moment of his life. He started kissing her, as she realized he was awake, she kissed back. Eventually, she sat on top of his body, and they started making out. They made out for over half an hour, then Miku stopped sitting on top of him, and got up.
"That was the happiest I've ever felt, I love you Len." She said.
"Ditto." Len said still laying on the ground.
"Can't believe that purple haired idiot caused that." Miku said.
"Wait... Gakupo got away." Len said.
"Oh." Miku realized.
"Goddammit! I give up, I'm gonna get executed for loving you now." Len said.
"I'm also wanted in my country Len, let's leave this hellhole together, find some other kingdom and get married." Miku suggested.
"I'll pass, leave without me Miku, I've failed in brining change to my kingdom, I deserve to be executed." Len told her.
"I can't let you die." She said extremely worried.
"You'll sadly have to." Len said.
Meiko was in the the royal garden. Sitting on a chair, thinking about everything Len has been saying to her for a few weeks.
"Meiko!" Gakupo arrived in the garden and called her name.
"What is it Gakupo?" Meiko was confused.
"You may've noticed that Len has been acting unusual lately." Gakupo said.
"Tell me about it, I can't agree harder." Meiko said.
"The reason is, he's in love with an oak." Gakupo said.
"HE WHAT!" Meiko was angry now.
"Yes, I caught him with her in the forest outside the country." Gakupo told her.
"I'll kill him." Meiko got up and headed towards the forest, she felt backstabbed by a comrade.
After Meiko left, Gakupo got ready to turn everyone against Len "Time to tell the king now."
Gakupo approached Kaito who was sitting on his throne.
"Your majesty!" Gakupo called him.
"Whatever it is, make it quick." Kaito said.
"Len is in love with an oak." Gakupo said.
"You're lying! Len would never go anywhere near filthy cretins." Kaito wanted to trust Len.
"I'm not, I've heard him say it." Gakupo said.
"Prove it." Kaito said.
"You'll have to come to that forest with me, I'm sure those two are still there." Gakupo said.
"Fine." Kaito didn't wanted what he was hearing to be true.
Luka was walking down the castle. Suddenly, she ended up in the place where she left Miku, she noticed that Miku wasn't there anymore.
"That's bizarre." Luka said.
She went to the cathedral and found Gumi.
"Gumi, Miku isn't where we left her." Luka informed her.
"She might be locked up." Gumi assumed.
"Let's check." Luka said.
They went to their jail, to check all the prisoners, to see if Miku's there.
"She's not here either," Gumi said "what happened?"
"There's only one explanation." Luka said.
"You mean..." Gumi said before she stopped mid-sentence.
"Yeah, she escaped when we talking to your highness." Luka concluded.
"But there are so many guards in this castle, how did she managed to do that?" Gumi wondered.
"Guess she's more clever than we assumed." Luka said.
"Now what?" Gumi asked.
"What do you mean 'now what?' We have to go outside the country to find her, I should kill her myself." Luka said.
Luka and Gumi left the country to kill Miku.
Rin was sitting on her throne, waiting for a maid to bring her some orange juice. The maid arrived with a tray in her hand with a glass of orange juice in it.
"Thank you so much." Rin said as she took some sips.
"You majesty, have you heard?" The maid said.
"Heard what?" Rin didn't understood.
"Miku escaped, and Luka and Gumi left the country to catch her." She told the queen.
"Really? Whatever, they'll most likely not be able to find her, I'll punish them whenever they return." Rin really didn't cared much.
"You're a such an amazing queen!" The maid praised her.
"Shut up already, I shouldn't even be the head monarch, you already know I'm not the oldest child and have a older brother." Rin said.
"Wait? So you don't know?" The maid was surprised.
"I don't know what?" Rin got curious.
"About what happened to your brother? Your mother's first child." The maid said.
"What happened to him?" Rin demanded an answer.
"Well..."
"We're sorry to inform you your majesty, but it turned out to be a boy." A nun said to the queen.
"This can't be, I'll have to wait for another pregnancy to get a heir now." The queen felt frustration.
"Don't worry we're executing the man you had sex with for this inexcusable failure." The nun told her.
"Whatever, can I see my son now." The queen asked.
"We're killing him too." The nun revealed.
"Wait what?" The queen couldn't believe this.
"I said we're killing him too, he's not what we're looking for, we must get rid of him." The nun said.
"You can't kill my son! I order you to not kill my son." She used her authority to save him
"Your wish is my command your majesty, I'll go tell them to call his execution off." The nun left the room for the newborn.
"They can't do this to him, he's a defenseless newborn." She said to herself, she was extremely worried.
15 minutes later
The nun returned "Sorry my queen, they've already killed him by putting a pillow on his face, I was too late."
"NO! THIS CAN'T BE! You people just killed my son!" She screamed at the nun.
"He wasn't the heir we were looking for, we didn't realized you wanted him." The nun looked genuinely apologetic.
"No! No! No! No! No!" She kept screaming and crying loudly.
"T-They ki-killed my brother..." Rin said out of complete disgust.
"Yeah, just when he was born, because we can only have female heirs, I assumed you already knew." The maid told her.
"Did Luka and Gumi knew?" Rin asked in the angriest whisper possible.
"Yes, which is why I assumed you'd knew this too." The maid said.
Rin got up from her throne "I'm leaving for a while."
Rin left the castle, and headed outside the country in search of Luka and Gumi to punish them for keeping this secret.
"I'll say it again Len, I'm not letting you die." Miku yelled.
"And I'll say it again, you'll have to." Len told her.
"SHUT UP! Both of you!" Meiko arrived there.
"Meiko..." Len said.
"Who's she?" Miku asked him.
"An absolute badass." He told her.
"Listen Len, you shall be punished for falling in love with an oak, I'm killing you right here." Meiko did some hand motions and summoned a ball of fire in her hands.
"Fine, I guess that's it for me." Len had accepted his fate.
"NO!" Miku got in front of Len as a human shield "Please don't kill him, kill me instead, just don't do anything to him."
"Miku, this does not concern you, get out of the way." Len yelled at her.
"That's it! I'm killing you both." Meiko threw a fire ball at them, but before it could hit them, a water ball arrived, and cancelled the attack out.
"What the-" Meiko couldn't believe it, it was Luka.
"If there's anyone who's killing Miku, it's me." Luka said as she stood alongside Gumi.
"Who are these two?" Len asked her.
"Two of the people who want to kill me." She told him.
"Well if it isn't Luka, the most powerful warrior in Blue Oak, I've heard all about you." Meiko said.
"I've heard all about you too Meiko, the most powerful warrior in Gui Vermillion." Luka said.
Meiko and Luka kept throwing fire attack and water attacks at one another repeatedly, neither of them was getting hurt because their attacks were constantly cancelling eachother.
"C'mon Luka! Destroy her!" Gumi cheered her friend on.
For over forty minutes both them kept missing attacks. But just then.
"Luka! Gumi! I've finally found you two!" Rin arrived and yelled at the two.
"Q-Queen." Gumi said as both of them looked terrified.
"How dare you hide my brother's killing on his first day on earth from me?" Rin yelled harder.
"We're sorry your highness! Forgive us." Luka begged for forgiveness, but it wasn't happening.
"You two are not getting away with this easily!" Rin yelled.
Suddenly, Kaito and Gakupo arrived there.
"What is all of this? Can someone explain it?" Kaito demanded.
"You! You killed my mother! You scumbag!" Rin yelled at him.
"Oh great, you're here too, guess I gotta reunite you with your mother." Kaito did some hand motions to form a fire ball in his hands.
"It's an honour to fight alongside you my king!" Meiko said.
"Great to hear it." Kaito replied.
"Her guard is down, this is the best chance I have." Luka thought, she threw a water attack at Meiko.
"MEIKO! LOOK OUT!" Len screamed as he ran to save her, before the water attack could hit Meiko, Len got in the way and took the water attack instead.
"LEN! NOOOOOO!" Kaito yelled as he ran towards Len's unconsious body, after all, vermillions are super weak to water.
"He... he took that hit save me..." Meiko couldn't believe Len has possibly sacrificed his life for her, and she was thinking of killing him.
"Len! Wake up! You can't leave me, you're like the younger brother I never had, please don't leave." Kaito kept yelling on Len's unconsious body almost on the verge of tears.
"Len... no." Miku whispered and immediately broke down in tears, she might've just lost the only man she ever loved.
"I can't believe I wanted to kill that brave kid, I had misunderstood him," Meiko said, "but I'll kill you for sure." Meiko said to Luka and threw a fire attack at her.
"Oh no you won't." Luka said as she grabbed Miku's arm, put her against herself, and used her as a human shield against Miku's will.
Miku ended up taking the fire attack instead and went down.
"MIKU! NOOOOOO!" Rin yelled as she grabbed Miku's unconsious body "you can't leave me Miku, you were the only one like me who wanted peace, the only who wanted us all live happily forever."
"She's a traitor queen." Luka said.
"Shut your mouth you pink-haired moron!" Rin yelled.
Rin came near Len's body as Kaito was trying to wake him up.
"You cared alot about him, didn't you?" Rin asked Kaito.
"More than he ever thought I did." Kaito said.
"You know, he looks quite a bit like me." Rin noticed.
"He does." Kaito agreed.
"You know, the reason I declared war was because I wanted to help Miku escape from execution due to treason, I needed something to distract Luka and Gumi" Rin told him.
"Really?" Kaito couldn't believe it.
"For Miku's sake, can you please agree for peace, Len loved her, do you really wanna disrespect his wishes of living happily everafter with her?" Rin said to Kaito.
"Fine, for Len's love I'll agree to peace, I know what it's like to be kept away from your love." Kaito said.
"What do you mean?" Rin didn't understood.
Kaito got up and got near Meiko "Meiko, I love you, I've always had."
Meiko didn't knew what to say "Your majesty, I-I don't know what to say."
"It's settled then, we're signing for peace now, this doesn't guarantee permanent peace, but it should mean we should make progress of getting along." Kaito said.
Kaito and Rin shook hands. And now, the two kingdoms are at peace.
Miku and Len both survived the attacks they took after six months of medical care. After a DNA test, it was revealed that Len is Rin's younger half brother from the same father. Len was pleased to hear that he has royal oak blood. He and Rin started getting along as loving siblings. Eventually, Miku and Len were able to get married and nobody in any kingdom had any objection to it.
I guess you could say, when peopke genuinely want the best for eachother, and are ready to work together for it. The result is always the best for humanity, who could've known?
And that was the story. Once again, thanks to everyone who enjoyed it. I kinda rushed the ending, but I can't care less. What I gave still gets the same message across. The next Vocaloid I'm writing is one I've always been waiting for. See you all around!
