Two weeks after Homura's squad has joined Hachi Academy
A morning like any other one at Hachi Academy.
Some students are in class for theoretical lessons, some are training.
However, something unusual is happening on the third floor, in the meeting room.
The four elite students of the "college" section, who decided to rename themself the "senior elite squad" and the high school section the 'junior elite squad" to avoid confusion, are reporting things to a fifty year-old looking man.
"Our school is attractive, for both shinobi and normal students, what a great piece of news…"
The man says with a joyful but sinister tone of voice.
"Another good piece of news, mister Hamato, the junior elite squad seem to enjoy their journey in our school, I think they will accept to join us."
Fumiyo explains in a formal tone of voice.
"Perfect, I just love when everything happens just according to the plan… And what about our dear guests?"
Hamato asks, still with his hardly reassuring smile on his face.
"For now, they act normally, they're probably monitoring the school… for now."
Arisa answers.
"Mister Hamato, why we're waiting? I can kill them and the problem is solved…"
Ai asks, her tone isn't really appropriate, unlike her comrades' one.
"Soon Ai, soon…"
Hamato answers before looking at Yû.
"What about you, Yû? Anything to say?"
The old man asks the young woman with courtesy.
Yû only looks at his superior's eyes without changing her facial expression at first.
Then, she finally gives an answer:
"I think the Hebijo girls will soon try something, I'll keep an eye on them."
She responds with a formal tone of voice too.
"Very good, seems I can rely on the four of you. You can leave, go train yourself."
Hamato says, but he sounds like a free-spirit who doesn't really care about what they will do once they're left.
The four students stand up, quickly bow, and leave the room together.
Once in the corridors.
"Okay, I'm gonna slaughter some good shitnobi! Yû, Arisa, ya're going?"
Ai asks with a sadistic voice.
"Ai, the master told you not to act like that…"
Fumiyo highlights, but despite her serious face, she keeps her voice kinda low.
"Shut the fuck up, none asked you, so?"
She more than rudely answers before asking her "friends" again.
"No, going to train my dogs?"
Yû coldly responds.
"Ai, this dear Fumiyo is right, you must listen to the master like a good girl. Plus, you waste so much blood each time you kill people, I really dislike that, you see…"
Arisa answers, her voice sounds annoyed but also threatening.
"Arf, only pussies there…"
Ai says with frustration before leaving the group.
A few seconds later, Yû also follows her own way.
"See you later, Yû!"
Fumiyo says by smiling, but without getting any reaction from Yû.
But it's not enough to vanish the smile on her face.
"I will sort the blood I collected, see you later, darling."
Arisa says while leaving Fumiyô behind.
"See you later, Arisa!"
Fumiyo tells Arisa, and after a few seconds of hesitation, she adds:
"And thank you for supporting me…"
When she hears that, Arisa turns her head and gives Fumiyo a quick smile, which is more than enough to please her.
At the same moment, on the first underground
The lessons for the college students just finished. Imu and Miyabi, who follows those lessons since they're too old to be high school students, just isolated themselves to have a discussion.
Or rather, Miyabi dragged her somewhere private.
"I-Is something wrong, Miyabi?"
Imu asks by blushing.
"I'm done Imu…"
Miyabi says with a low voice.
"For what?"
Imu asks, blushing harder.
"For not finding anything, obviously."
Miyabi answers by clenching her fists because of the frustration.
"I-I see…"
Imu reacts, disappointed since she was expecting something else…
"There isn't any sign of abnormal activity in this school, I can't accept to leave empty-handed! We need to try something else, and now."
Miyabi explains with a determined tone of voice, but Imu doesn't share it.
Actually, she feels she's concerned about something else too.
"Miyabi… Is that just me or something else is bothering you right now?"
Imu asks, hoping she's not going to trigger Miyabi.
"..."
Miyabi doesn't react at first, but she finally gives Imu an answer.
"Homura Crimson Squad…"
She says, but that actually confuses Imu.
"I… I don't get it…"
Imu admits, a bit ashamed.
"For now, they're still in a trial period, but in two weeks, they may become students there…"
Miyabi starts, but she doesn't need to complete since Imu understands what she's trying to say.
"And thus, they'll have to tell the truth regarding us, and our mission will be a complete failure…"
The glassed girl adds.
"Exactly, and they'll be our enemies again…"
Miyabi says in a kinda defeatist way, even she knows they could deal with Homura's group, the senior shinobi, and the other strong students.
"Those bitches…"
Imu angrily says, but Miyabi stops her.
"Imu, I hate this situation too, but they could have exposed us the first day they met us there, for that, we should be grateful."
She explains, it's very rare for her to be that comprehensive.
"Yes, you're right… we're so unlucky…"
Imu says with despair in her voice.
"Indeed…"
Miyabi adds, sharing the despair.
Outside the school
Murasaki, alongside Ryoubi and Ryouna, finished their lesson sooner and spent the rest of the day relaxing in the city.
At least, that was the plan.
"Damnit! We find nothing! I'm starting to believe this thing with Gessen was just bullshit!"
Ryoubi yells.
"Ryoubi is angry! Please, please take it out on me!"
Ryouna asks, holding and shaking her twin's arm.
"Shut the fuck up!"
Ryoubi yells while slapping her lovely twin's cheeks.
"Yes, more!"
Ryouna screams by moaning of pleasure under her sisters' slaps.
Murasaki, on her side, is lost in her thoughts.
"Eh Murasaki, what's wrong this time?"
Ryoubi asks her, irritated because of her attitude.
Of course, she asks without stopping to slap her sister.
"Eh? Well…"
Murasaki is hesitating.
"You miss your crush already?"
Ryoubi asks sarcastically, she's referring to Kazuto, who trained with her several times.
"I-I don't have any crush! it's just…"
Murasaki is still hesitating.
"It's just what, Murasaki?"
Ryoubi, feeling it's something serious, stops molesting Ryouna.
"The smell…"
Murasaki finally tells, putting her face on Bebetan's head, something she usually does when she's scared.
"The smell?"
Ryoubi asks, curious.
"I smelled something in that school, the most horrible smell of life…"
Murasaki explains, even more affraid.
Later, in the evening, Homura's room
Homura's group has reunited in the leader's room, who decided to have a discussion about the two weeks they spent in the school.
"We've already done half of our trial period, what's your opinion?"
Homura asks in a serious tone of voice.
"It's cool."
Hikage simply answers.
"I share the same opinion with our dear Hikage, I like this place very much."
Haruka answers in her turn.
"I… I agree, actually…"
Mirai starts, but she stays quiet for a few seconds before completing her sentence.
"Actually, I think it's the best scholar experience I've ever had in my entire life."
Mirai adds, shyly smiling.
Homura except, the only one remaining is Yomi, who doesn't look as enthusiastic as her friends.
"Yomi, you look unsure, is something wrong?"
Homura asks.
"No, the school itself is a nice place, but to be honest… I feel remorse…"
Yomi says with a sad looking face.
"Remorse?"
Haruka highlights, she doesn't understand why Yomi feels remorse.
"The slum, I left it behind, I could see them one last time and they were happy for me, but I can't help feeling I've abandoned them…"
Yomi explains with a voice full of melancolia.
She's not the only one feeling sad now, the others also left people they like behind, especially their friends from Hanzo.
"Yomi, I understand… no, we all understand your feelings, but believe me, no will ever blame you for that. Also, if you want, you can send them your pension, I can even add mine."
Homura tells her friend with a cheerful smile and voice.
"I can add mine too, they already give us anything."
"Mine too, we're free during the week-end, if we need money, we can work a little, we're used to it after all."
"Well well, you're all so nice… and I think I am too, I add mine."
Add Hikage, Mirai, and Haruka.
"Girls…"
Yomi says, about to cry.
But this joyful moment is quickly interrupted by Hikage.
"Homura, your opinion?"
This question surprises Homura, but she immediately answers.
"The level here is very good and the confort acceptable, I'm fine with it."
The tanned shinobi answers, even if she seems hesitating because of something.
Her friends have noticed that, and she's aware of it, so, she adds:
"But I can't just forget what happened with Gessen, I rather wait before giving my final decision."
Of course, no one in the room did forget about that, even if they start to believe it may be wrong.
During those two weeks, they recieved news from the Hanzo students, Gessen girls are out of danger and all awakened, except Yumi who's still unconscious.
"Anyway, it's getting late, let's sleep…"
Homura orders.
"Understood."
Her four friends respond, leaving the room one after the other.
Once she's alone, Homura let herself fall on her bed, she can't help having a bad feeling about this school that looks more and more good to be true.
