Junior elite students' Ninja Room
A free morning for the Homura Crimson Squad, who would like to spend it relaxing.
Unfortunately, it won't be possible this time.
"You again?!"
Homura yells by seeing their aggressor, who's Arisa.
"Yomi, you're alright?!"
Mirai yells, worried about her friend, who just got her left cheek's skin cut.
"Yes, but she is so fast, I could not see her…"
Yomi answers, a bit afraid by the abilities of her "comrade".
Arisa tastes Yomi's, and she seems to enjoy the taste.
"A good donor, I love it a lot…"
Arisa says in a scary way.
"Arisa… I warned you about what would happen if you dared to hurt my friend… YOU'RE GOING TO SUFFER!"
Homura screams before attacking the sadistic nurse.
But Arisa is too fast and dodges her slash by passing under her, cutting her thigh to the passage.
"H-How?!"
Homura says, impressed by the speed of Arisa, who's already in front of Mirai.
"Hello!"
She says while cutting the forehead of the youngest of the group, who was unable to react.
Arisa finally tastes both Homura and Mirai's blood, which taste as good as Yomi's one.
"I knew you would make good donors!"
The red-haired woman joyfully says, but like the last time, her victims don't really appreciate the compliment.
"Let's see our friend right here!"
Arisa yells by looking at Hikage and rushing toward her.
"Useless against… Um?"
Hikage starts, for a moment, she thought her attack did work, but she understands it didn't when she saw Arisa disappear and immediately after felt a pain in her back.
As she did with the other, Arisa drinks Hikage's blood, blood she likes as much.
"Why are you doing it, you damn crazy?!"
Mirai asks by yelling, frightering almost all her friends to the passage.
Arisa's face doesn't change, but she doesn't ignore Mirai's question.
"Anyone who decides to be an evil shinobi also decides to abandon the value of their life, so, I have all the rights to their bodies…"
Arisa claims while looking at Haruka.
"Then, your lives would have a better sense if you gave them to offer your bodies…"
Arisa adds before attacking Haruka, who doesn't even try to defend, as if she accepted her faith.
"What a villain girl, I like it…"
She says, barely reacting when Arisa cuts the back of her right hand.
"Haruka!"
Homura screams, angry.
Arisa tastes Haruka's blood, but her reaction is way different from the previous ones.
Something in the taste has caught her attention, her look is unusually serious.
The young red-haired woman closes her eyes, and in an almost furious voice, pronounces the following word:
"Disgusting…"
Word that surprises Homura and her group.
"Oh, don't you like my blood, darling?"
Haruka tauntly asks.
"No, even if you begged me, I wouldn't take it…"
Arisa seriously answers while cleaning her scalpel with a cloth.
Haruka doesn't like Arisa's remark and lauchs several kunai in her direction, but as always, Arisa easely dodges them.
"Oops, sorry, I'm so clumsy…"
Haruka says, faking an apologizing face, even if nobody trusts her.
Arisa doesn't seem interested in them any more and is calmly walking in the direction of the exit.
"I am leaving, I don't have the right to take all your blood, you are the junior elite students after all, it would not be polite of me."
This declaration and the sudden change in her attitude make Homura's group confused, but also irritated.
"Eh?! As if we would let you go like that!"
Homura yells, ready to fight seriously, but Arisa doesn't feel the same way.
"I think you will, it is not like you are able to force me to stay after all. Also, you have something way more important to do right now."
Arisa says, her first sentence made Homura and her group angry for a quick moment.
But the second one has caught their attention, they don't have anything to do today, so they have no idea what Arisa is talking about.
"What do you mean by "something way more important to do"?"
Yomi asks.
Arisa was about to leave the room, the door is open, and she even has a foot outside.
She stops, and without turning around, she says:
"Your dear Haruka's blood is defiled by a mortal disease that is starting to develop inside her, bring her to heal, I want her blood to be useful again one day."
Arisa leaves the room immediately after it, closing the door and leaving Homura's group shocked.
None of them dare say a single words for tens of seconds, and as surprised it may seem, Hikage is the one who breaks it.
"Haruka is sick?"
She says in a little concerned voice.
"Do you… think this is true?"
Yomi asks, very concerned.
"Mistress Haruka…"
Mirai tells Haruka by looking at her with scared eyes.
"Oh my, tell about bad news…"
Haruka says by smiling, as if she doesn't see the issue.
"D-Don't worry! I'm sure she lied just to play with us!"
Homura claims, but it's not enough to reassure her friends.
"No Homura, believe me, she was serious."
Haruka says in return, still smiling.
"So, why aren't you worried at all?!"
Mirai asks by screaming, about to sob.
"I'm a shinobi, if I panicked each time I was in a dangerous situation, life would be boring… Also, didn't you listen to her? She said my disease is starting to develop, so, if we do what she said, I should be fine."
Haruka explique.
Under those words, Homura makes a decision.
"Everyone to the hospital, now!"
She yells.
Three hours later
Haruka just completed her medical examinations, it wasn't easy to convince the doctors to do them, whereas Haruka doesn't have any sign of illness, in both her body and attitude.
She and her four friends are waiting for the results, no need to say it's hard for them to wait, and they of course hope Arisa lied.
"Ladies…"
A female doctor, accompanied by a male nurse, just entered the room where Homura's squad members were waiting.
"Doctor, do you have results, please?"
Yomi politely asks.
"Yes, I have both bad and good news."
The doctor says, catching Homura's group attention.
"The bad one is your friend is sick for real, we found a tumor in her stomach.
This declaration shocks Homura and her friends, even Haruka, who looks worried for the first time about her situation.
But before they could panic, the doctor adds something.
"The good one is the tumor is still early, to the point we almost didn't find it, we can easily treat it. So, your friend will be fine, no need to worry."
Thanks to these words, the doctor has reassured Homura's squad, all the members are smiling, even Hikage.
Mirai, who can't contain her joy, even jumps on Haruka to hug her with her tiny but strong arms.
Haruka, in return, just pats her friend's head by staying quiet.
The doctor and the nurse are smiling too, to the point the nurse feels bad to put an end to this wholesome scene.
"Excuse-me, but the operation can be done right now, please follow me."
The man politely says.
A few hours later
Haruka had been treated, everything went right.
Haruka is fine, to the point she doesn't even need to stay at the hospital. She and her friend are at the hospital's entrance, listening to the last recommendations of the doctor.
"Everything is perfect, you don't have anything to fear now, just avoid physical activities for a week."
The female doctor explains, she doesn't need to make her patient wait.
At least, as a professional.
"However, I would like to ask you something…"
She says, looking serious and confused at the same time.
"Yes?"
Haruka says, she doesn't seem impatient to leave the hospital, despite the hours she spent inside.
"You said you didn't have any symptoms, and our tools barely detected your tumor because of how undeveloped it was… how did you figure something was wrong?"
The doctor asks.
Neither Haruka nor her friend know what to respond, they can't tell her the truth since there is no way she believes that.
"Well, let's say a friend is very sensitive…"
Haruka answers, but she knows it's too imprecise.
"Alright… You can go, have a nice day…"
She says, obviously unsatisfied.
Homura and her friends are leaving the hospital at last, glad Haruka is fine.
