Homura's room, night
Just a few minutes ago, Mirai brought Homura the registration documents, who summoned everyone for the final choice.
The five of them are facing their already filled documents, a pen in their hand, only missing their signature to give them back.
"Okay, I'm going to give them immediately after, those who are sure they wanna stay, sign."
Homura says, following her words, her friends only need a few seconds of reflexion before signing their respective documents.
By seeing that, Homura smiles and signs her own one.
"Very well, everyone stays… give me your documents, in a few moments, we will definitely be Hachi students."
Homura says, her friends joyfully give her the documents, marking a turning point in their life.
"Perfect, I'll be back so… Uh?"
Homura is stopped by a sudden noise.
Someone just knocked her door.
"Co-Come here."
Homura says, astonished.
The door opens, revealing Miyabi's group, who enter the room, all of them have an anxious face.
"Oh, it's you? What's the matter?"
Haruka demands by smiling.
None of Hebijo girls answer, Miyabi is looking at the floor while her four friends are looking at her.
After a deep breath, Miyabi finally starts to explain what's going on.
One minute later
Miyabi has explained everything she knows and their current situation, including the reason they've come there, in this room. But as they guessed, Homura and her friends aren't really enjoyed by Miyabi's request.
"Sorry, but w're not with you."
Homura claims withotu hesitation.
"Why? You're afraid?"
Ryoubi asks in a tauting way.
"No, we just don't see any reason to strike our new manager."
Homura answers by showing their registrations documents filled, which both surprise and makes Imu angry.
"Seriously? You don't feel ashamed to join another school? Which attacked Gessen girls, by the way?"
Imu asks with a contemptuous voice, the entire Homura's group hate that.
"We don't like what they did, but we also hurt people in the past… And you're not worthy to judge us…"
Yomi answers.
"That's right, also, we feel good there! That's even the best scholar experience of my entire life… Also, Haruka could have died if we hadn't come!"
Mirai adds.
The arguing lasted several minutes, then, Murasaki puts a stop by saying that:
"Maybe a friendship between two opposed factions is not possible after all…"
Which turns everyone quiet.
For even longer minutes, the girls are questioning themselves about the relationship they have with the other, was a brutal confrontation unavoidable? Did they make the right choice by becoming friends with girls who're supposed to be their enemies?
The more they're asking themselves, the less the answer is pleasant.
Miyabi is aware of that, but she suddenly remembers something, or rather someone.
Asuka.
When Miyabi and Homura met her for the first time, they both thought she was a childish and naive brat they could just crush like a bug.
But actually, she was way stronger and wiser than they'll never be, because she does believe in her ideals and good feelings till the end, and thus even if she has to perish.
So, Miyabi chooses to believe too, she refuses to be Homura's enemy again.
And her resolution makes her find the solution.
"Homura, listen, Fumiyo and Imu had a discussion, even the elite squad doesn't know what Hamati is planning. Doesn't it remember you something?"
Miyabi asks.
Homura immediately realize what Miyabi is referring to.
"Dougen…"
She says, the eyes full of hatred.
"Exactly, Hamato is planning something bad for sure, bad enough to put the school students into danger. If you don't fight with us now, you'll have to do with other ones, and you know the consequences…"
Miyabi explains, the others understand a renegade life is waiting for those who will fight.
"And this is the best result, who knows, it could be too late to avoid the worst scenario."
Miyabi adds, making everyone sweets a little.
Homura remembers this day, the day when she almost died alongside her friends, absorbed by Orochi.
She knows she's alive thanks to Hanzo's girls, who were their enemies at this moment.
Long seconds of silence and hesitation reign over the room, then...
"Fine for me."
Hikage says, breaking the silence.
"Hikage?"
Haruka says, surprised.
"There are good people there, and weird things are happening for real… Not doing anything is not cool…"
Hikage explains.
Her friends understand her opinion, they even share it. But they're not convinced yet.
Then, Yomi tells something.
"Maybe we could try to reason with the senior elite squad, I think some are… open to a discussion."
Yomi says with hesitation in her voice.
The other are doubtful, especially Imu, who knows Fumiyo seems very loyal to Hamato, and it's likely the same for the others.
"I guess we could try… I'm with you too."
Homur a says, astonishing everyone.
"Mirai, Haruka, if you don't want to come…"
Homura starts, but she's quickly interrupted.
"No, Homura, we're coming too, aren't we supposed to stay together?"
"That's true, we'll always be together…"
Haruka and Mirai respectively says, both of them with a cheerful smile.
"Of course…"
Homura says, smiling too, like everyone in the room, actually.
"We're going?"
Miyabi asks.
"We're going."
Homura answers by standing up with determination.
The ten girls are leaving the room, but none of them noticed a little intruder inside it.
A little locust, insect that has a pretty great sense of hearing.
And a shinobi of this school, Shun, one of the few male shinobi student, knows how to use it to give sense to the expression "walls have ears".
And that Shun is currently at the third roof, more specifically in the meeting room where Hamato is too. Of course, he told everything her heard to him.
"They just left the room, sir, shall I follow them?"
Shun asks, ready to send other spying locusts.
At the same moment, the door opens, and the four senior elite students are coming inside.
"Did you summoned us, master Hamato?"
Fumiyo asks, worried.
"Yes, I need you… Shun, you can leave, go join Eri outside and deploy the maximum locusts you can to be sure reinforcement don't come.
Hamato orders.
"Get it, master!"
Shun responds before vanishing in a flash.
"Your four…"
Hamato starts.
The four elite students already guessed what's going on, the Hebijo girls are trying something.
"The junior elite has betrayed us, they're coming with the Hebijo infiltrators to eliminate me, your mission is simple, stop them and kill them."
Hamato orders.
The senior elites are surprised to learn about Homura's group betrayal.
"Understood, master."
Yû says, her face shows no particular emotion.
"Cool, more fools to dispose of… Shall I go to Hebijo to slaughter the other once and for all?"
Ai asks, smirking.
"It won't be necessary, my dear Ai, I've already sent her to take care of it."
Hamato answers by proudly smiling.
The four elites know who their master is talking about, but he quickly changes the topic.
"Fumiyo, Arisa, my sweeties… Why those hesitating faces?"
Hamato asks, surprising the two girls she just named.
"Uh?"
"I…"
Arisa and Fumiyo don't know what to say.
"Fumiyo, I know I gave you a permission, but I think you understand the current situation is concerning enough to justify a brief exception."
Hamato asks by looking at Fumiyo with a strange face.
"I do, sir…"
Fumiyo answers, still hesitating.
"There is no way I'll regret doing what must be done, master."
Arisa claims without waiting to her master to question her, which astonishes him a little, but also makes him smile.
"Perfect… Ai, Yû, go to the fight! I still have an order to give Arisa and Fumiyo, they're going to join you in a minute."
Hamato orders, Yû and Ai immediatly obey.
"Get it!"
The two women yell in perfect harmony before running outside the room, leaving their master with their two comrades.
"What is the order, master?"
Arisa asks, but the only reaction of their master in a sinister giggle.
"The same as before… You're going to kill those little bitches..."
Hamato orders, but his words trigger his two students in a strange way.
A common reaction when someone is taken under a specific kind of ninja art, mind control.
"Yes…"
The two girls say in a low and monotone voice before standing up and leaving the room. Running to join their allies with soulless faces.
At the same moment, second floor
"Can't wait to break those assholes' bones!"
Ai screams, smiling of excitation before being distracted by Yû, who looks concerned.
"Oh no, Yû, don't tell me you don't want to do your damn job too…"
Ai asks with irritation.
"No… It's just…"
Yû starts.
"I smell something bad…"
