One week after the raid on Hachi Academy, in a cemetery near Osaka, evening
"Oh? You came too, master Suzune?"
Haruka asks her former teacher, surprised to see her alongside the Hebijo elite squad.
"Yes, I killed one of Hachi's students myself, it's kinda natural to come too, I guess…"
Rin responds in an hesitating voice.
She, her five elite students, and Homura Crimson Squad have all come there to honour the victims of Thomas Ludwig, now known in the shinobi world as Heitan, the mad shinobi.
Six graves from Hachi there, for Fumiyo, Arisa, Yû, and Ai first.
Then comes Hitomi, the Hachi secret assassin, and finally Hamato, the real one this time.
Of course, Hachi Academy refused to bury Thomas, whom the body has been destroyed without any kind of ceremony.
The good piece of news there is the relationship between good and evil shinobi that's improved since Thomas was targetting against both sides.
Regarding Hachi school, the loss of their best student, including Natsuko who's deaf and thus, unable to be an elite shinobi, really harmed them.
Now, it's to Yuuma, the only student strong enough to be an elite student, and to the new school's principal, a woman, to make sure the academy doesn't collapse.
Especially since Homura's group finally decided not to join the school, because they though that, since the junior elite squad was a Thomas' manipulation, they didn't have their place there.
No need to say Yuuma didn't like this choice, but she still respected it, wanting the students to be free to choose their own paths.
"You think it'll be okay for Hachi?"
Imu asks.
"They're strong, they'll make it… At least, they still have good elements, like Yuuma."
Miyabi confidently answers.
"Don't forget Natsuko, I don't think she'll give up her ambition just because she's deaf…"
Homura adds in a confident voice too.
"True…"
Miyabi answers in a rather sad voice.
The two groups put flowers on the graves, the distribution was obvious.
"I promise I'll take good care of Murasaki, and that we'll be unbeatable together."
Imu says before putting flowers on Fumiyo's grave.
"I thank you again for making me avoid a dangerous situation… For this, I promise I'll live as long as possible."
"The Hachi students will take care of your dogs, don't worry about them…"
Yomi says before lighting a candle on Yû's grave.
"You weren't a good person… But you were strong and full of determination, it's enough to deserve honour…"
Ryoubi says while putting a grave gift on Ai's grave.
"I didn't know who you were during our fight, but as a fearsome opponent, I must show you respect…"
Rin says in front of Hitomi's grave.
Finally, Miyabi and Homura put some flowers on Hamato's grave, even if they've never met him.
But Miyabi has something in her mind bothering her.
"What's the matter, Miyabi?"
Homura asks, curious.
"No… Actually… You're probably gonna find it weird but… I think Heitan… I mean Thomas, should have his own grave too…"
Miyabi explains in a hesitating voice.
"You're serious? After all he did? He's for Hachi what Dougen was for Hebijo."
Homura claims.
"Maybe but… I don't know, I feel like there's something else behind this story…"
Miyabi admits, in an even more hesitating voice.
"It might be… But nothing can justify his actions, and thus, no matter his actual motivations."
Homura says in a harsh voice.
Miyabi takes a moment to think… And finally shows a confident face again.
"You're right… What's done is done… I'll focus on my duty as a shinobi now."
Miyabi claims in a proud voice.
"Same for me!"
Homura claims too.
THE END
