1. Sahara
"The Sahara is 3,000 miles long and a bit less than half that wide. Old camel caravans used to regularly pass through—"
"Yes, Professor, but what's the desert like?"
Professor Jack Moffitt, head of archaeology, said, "Well, John, just like I once told a very dear friend of mine—only he wasn't a dear friend of mine then—the desert is like a lady … she changes her face every day."
"What was the war like in the desert?" asked Margie.
Moffitt paused, reflecting. "A violent time—but a most stirring time to be alive!"
"And your friend?"
"Gone."
