Enjoy lovebugs ;)
After Sam had retrieved both boxes from Mercedes's car she vanished before he could even get her name. She was sexy to him, the dress she wore hugged her curves in all of the right places, and the innocent badass look she had going was doing everything for Sam. However, she didn't budge at his shameless flirting. If anything it only made it easier for her to leave, but Sam wasn't going to sweat it, when the time was right he would have that sexy temptress to himself and in his bed without a doubt in mind.
He turned on the radio and sure enough the Christmas music was blasting throughout as he set around to put the decorations up. He would be opening up in about thirty minutes so he was working on borrowed time. Sam loved working at Clueless, his grandfather had built the bar with just his bare hands, and when it finally opened he was a fan favorite. Then after he had passed away he passed it over to his son, Dwight Evans. Dwight had remolded the place to return it back to its former glory, and to keep the customers rolling in, and after he finally retired it was Sam's. He used his sex appeal, and his knowledge about bartending to keep the place open, and that was all he wanted because he would have never been able to forgive himself if this place closed down.
Once Sam had finished up with all of the decorations he headed to the back of his office and saw a photo of his grandpa. He looked down and smiled at the photo, "Well, papa, you always did say Christmases in Clueless were the most magical ones, let's see if that magic is still willing to work in this place."
"Listen this place is not bad at all, it has a nice adult feel to it," Tina exclaimed as she, Quinn, Santana, and Mercedes walked in. The bar was slightly packed with people as they all looked around, and the Christmas decorations made for great detail.
"I see the owner made great use of the decorations I dropped off," Mercedes sighed out as she looked around.
"What do you mean you dropped off decorations Merce?" Quinn asked as she didn't miss the quiet comment.
Mercedes inwardly kicked herself for saying that out loud, "Artie called and told me to drop them off, apparently, he knows the owner, look that guy over there in the black tee, and dazzling smile." Mercedes pointed towards the bar and there he was putting that manly charm on a random girl.
"Oh he is a cutie," Tina pointed out.
"And a pain in my ass with all of the groupies he has," Artie interrupted as he walked in behind the girls.
"Hey Artie, I thought you were swamped at work," Mercedes greeted him as he made his rounds and gave the ladies a hug.
"I'll save it for tomorrow, thanks for delivering the lights to Sam, I owe you."
"Oh so his name is Sam," Santana smirked as she looked at Mercedes.
"Alright party people thank you for coming to Clueless, and you know just in time for the holiday season we have a little Christmas karaoke. So who is brave enough to sing little merry tunes just in time for the holiday cheer?" The M.C. questioned.
"You should go up there Merce, you are the best singer here," Quinn replied as she nudged her friend.
"Yes please please do it. I have been dying to hear you sing for the longest." Santana begged.
Mercedes laughed, "Ok, ok. I can sing a little something." She walked towards the stage and took the steps two at a time, as she grabbed the mic from the M.C. and told her the song to play.
"Happy holidays everyone I hope you all enjoy." She announced.
Santa baby, just slip a Sable under the tree for me
Been an awful good girl
Santa baby, so hurry down the chimney tonight
As she sung the first lines of the song, she decided to go with slow and sensual. She shimmed her hips as the song went on and removed her sweater as she heard small whoops and hollers. As she moved across the stage she looked over to the bar and saw Sam looking at her with a smile, and she smiled back.
Santa baby, a 54 convertible too, light blue
I'll wait up for you dear
Santa baby, so hurry down the chimney tonight
As she kept on singing she made her way off the stage and walked through the crowd. As she made her way back to her friends she swayed her hips and Quinn and Santana quickly followed suit as being the background dancers. Then as the third verse of the song came up she made her way to the bar where Sam was and with the help of a good samaritan they helped her up the bar as she sat down.
Think of all the fun I've missed
Think of all the fella's that I haven't kissed
Next year I could be just as good
If you check off my Christmas list
As she sung the flirtatious lyrics her eyes dawned upon Sam's lips and how much she wished she could just kiss his lips one time. Before she could recognize the touch, she felt Sam's hand graze hers as he played with her fingers as she sung. Not completely forgetting the audience she turned back towards them as she continued to sing.
Santa baby, I want a yacht and really that's not a lot
Been an angel all year
Santa baby, so hurry down the chimney tonight
Santa honey, one little thing I really need
The deed to a platinum mine
Santa baby, so hurry down the chimney tonight
Santa cutie, and fill my stocking with the duplex and checks
Sign your 'x' on the line
Santa cutie, and hurry down the chimney tonight
Come and trim my Christmas tree
With some decorations bought at Tiffanys
I really do believe in you
Let's see if you believe in me
Santa baby, forgot to mention one little thing
A ring, I don't mean on the phone
Santa baby, so hurry down the chimney tonight
Hurry down the chimney tonight
Hurry, tonight
As she ended the song on the perfect note the audience cheered and clapped and as she got down from the bar she felt Sam touch her.
"I'm sure it is against holiday tradition if you don't kiss me now," Sam admitted as he pointed upwards. When Mercedes's eyes looked she saw the glistening green mistletoe and a small smile tugged at her lips. She leaned up and gave Sam a quick kiss on the cheek.
"That's a mistletoe kiss for an acquaintance," She replied as she headed back to her group of friends.
"Mercy, that guy is totally digging you," Quinn cheered as Mercedes came back and she grabbed her sweater back from her.
"Oh please, he is digging sex, and that is it." Mercedes shot down.
Artie spoke up, "She isn't wrong, Sam is a residential man-whore."
"And I think you should ride him at least once, he may surprise you," Santana added.
Mercedes rolled her eyes as they traveled back to Sam. She had to admit he was attractive and very sexually appealing to her and she would have loved to test him out, but she wasn't that kind of girl. She wanted a relationship and a true connection before immediately jumping into bed with someone, and so far Sam wasn't doing anything to prove her wrong. Especially since a brunette walked towards him and his face went into a full smile.
"Look, can we just enjoy our night please, besides he already has someone else to entertain." Mercedes pointed out. All eyes headed toward Sam and sure enough that southern smile and charm were working on whatever brunette he was speaking with.
NEXT DAY
Mercedes was in her large office going over briefings and notes for upcoming cases with Artie. This was one thing they always hated about the holiday season, they had a boatload of papers that needed to be filed before the new year, so they were always working themselves to the brim during this time of the year. Mercedes leaned against her desk as she removed her black suit jacket as looked at Artie who looked slumped.
"You know you can take a break, Artie, look I'll handle what I can for the night, and then we'll reconvene tomorrow." Mercedes began.
"No it's fine, I just my eyes are burning, and I have had a massive headache all day." Artie groaned out.
"All the more reason for you to go home, look go, I got it, I promise." Mercedes pleaded.
Artie sighed, "Ok, but only because I know if I don't you will have a fit, see you tomorrow Merce."
"See ya." After a small goodbye, Artie exited the office and Mercedes looked at the numerous files scattered across her office.
"Well, time to get this over with." She grabbed her phone and put on a playlist of upbeat music. She had spent the next hour making a somewhat organized system as she got a good chunk of the work done. She was so engrossed with her work that she didn't even know Sam was in her office.
"I thought lawyers had assistants to do stuff like this for them," He announced.
Mercedes whipped around and turned the music off, "And I thought bartenders spent the majority of their time trying to get laid or getting people drunk."
"Ouch," Sam joked as he walked closer and that is when Mercedes noticed he had a bag of food with him, "Artie called and told me that I owe him, so he told me to get you some food from the bar. A cheeseburger, no pickles, no mustard with extra mayo, ketchup, and cheese, and a large fry, with a coke."
"He knows me so well, thank you for bringing it to me, you didn't have to." Mercedes smiled as she took the bag from him.
"I did, he pulled me a solid when you brought those decorations, and now I get to pull one for him." Sam smiled.
"You know you are a very flirtatious man right?" Mercedes conversated.
"So I've been told, typically my flirting gets me places."
"And what do you do when you don't reach those places."
"I keep trying because eventually, I'll get what I want," Sam whispered as he trapped Mercedes between the desk.
"Hmm, I can tell, because you met me yesterday and now you have me trapped against my desk."
"Well, you sang so beautifully yesterday, I think I can repay you in some manner."
"I'm not sure that brunette who was around you would approve of that."
Sam laughed lowly as he gripped his Mercedes's chin, and he leaned down and kissed her softly. Mercedes didn't know where the hell her brain and logic went because she should have been pushing this man away. He was a man-whore, a flirt, a slight jackass, and she had only met him yesterday. Yet here she was kissing him back just as softly as he was her, and she was enjoying the hell out. When he pulled away she let out a slight groan as she looked up at him.
"Now that is the kiss for an acquaintance, and we weren't even under the mistletoe, enjoy your dinner Mercedes," Sam spoke gingerly as he walked out of the office. Leaving Mercedes stunned and hot and bothered.
