8. Cloud Wars
"Remember when we did a lot of jeep-sitting, we'd look up and watch the clouds fight?"
Hitch smiled and flipped another hamburger. "Yeah, just like real war, Tully, only they didn't use real bullets!"
It was the 'annual' Hitchcock barbeque. Hitch was glad Tully had joined him and Anne. Lois hung on Tully's arm, but as Tully had confided to Hitch earlier, it wasn't anything serious.
But the desert war had been serious. And the cloud wars. Just like the real thing. White cumulus half-tracks and jeeps, firing .50 cal. rounds into the blue skies. Clouds colliding, falling over dead.
