Chapter 3 : Playing "Global Offensive Squad"
"Hello, this is Sakaguchi Kotomi desu!~~"
Ayumi, now acting as Sakaguchi Kotomi, started her stream in that note with a wave of her hand and a shy smile.
Though it wasn't seen on her avatar due to only the mouth and eyes are moving. Her body barely moves at all. Her hand waving wasn't even recognized by the animation.
With that, it's already a minus for her.
She still braces and continue her stream even if she knows that her 3D model is pretty crappy.
She made sure that her slightly expensive high resolution camera was pointed at her face. It was the one that was recognizing her movements so her 3D model can imitate her.
Though this fairly expensive high resolution camera was very cheap compared to other models of it's own.
The camera was placed just above her monitor so even if she is looking at the computer, her actions can still be recognized and be imitated by her 3D model.
Or that's what she hopes so.
She doesn't have enough money to buy power gloves so she can move the hands of her 3D model.
"Today, for my first stream as a gamer, I will play this Online FPS game called Global Offensive Squad! Yey!~~"
She knew she was trying hard to be cheerful but she needs to established a character for her avatar as a Vtuber so she just continues even when she was feeling embarrassed to how she acts in front of the camera.
"Okay, I'll start playing the game"
She made another mistake. She quickly started playing the game without even making any commentary about it or what is her impression about the game.
Though even if it was her first time playing this game, it was already expected that she should have some knowledge about the game, even if it's just some second hand knowledge.
Outright going to the play without commenting is just killing her chance to establish her character. Though there are successful Vtubers for being quiet, these are only rare and she was still a newbie.
She needs to make an impression that will make an impact to her audience. This is to ensure that she will be remembered and not just become "Another Newbie Vtuber" that will become obscure after some weeks.
Of course she doesn't realize this blunder due to being embarrassed for doing this. She also doesn't have that much confidence that this will be successful at all.
She quietly waited for the game to load.
Global Offensive Squad. It is the equivalent of CS GO in her former life.
The game also acts just like the same. There are defusing the bomb, rescuing hostages, and even a free for all.
There is also a zombie mode in this game, which is somewhat common to FPS games in this age.
Though even if it was the equivalent of CS GO, it's server style is different. It have twelve servers. Each three servers are dedicated to a game mode.
"So... I'll pick the Beta Server"
Kotomi muttered as she picks the Beta Server.
The Beta Server is one of the server that was dedicated for the game mode "Defusing a Bomb".
After picking that, she can now pick a room.
"Well, I don't want to pick any so I'll just pick randomly. Oh, there is an Auto Join button there!~"
She said while clicking the Auto Join below the list of rooms on her screen.
The screen displays a "Loading..." message before it changes.
Now she was in a room. It was a 5v5 room. She was positioned on the Counter Terrorist side.
It seems like they are waiting for their room to be full before they started the battle. There are still two empty slots on the Counter Terrorist side.
Then it was quickly filled after waiting for awhile.
"Okay, we are full now!~"
The whole room was pretty quiet. No one is even making a comment on the chat box. The game started just like that.
"So I will be playing as a Counter Terrorist huh..."
Without noticing it, she was making a bad example of becoming a Vtuber. She was mostly quiet even when she was waiting for the game to start or she is in the middle of the loading screen.
The game started and she immediately bought a Desert Eagle.
"Wow, this game looks like Counter... I mean something that I just played"
She muttered while feeling flustered at slipping up the name of a game that doesn't exist in this world.
But as she said, this game was pretty familiar for her. Even the controls felt natural.
Also the map. The map looks like de dust 2.
'If this is like what I think it is, then the Site A and Site B should be at the same area. CT base and T base must also be at the same area as the one I remembered on my past life'
She thought as she moves along with her teammates.
She played CS GO in her past life. Though she is not on the level of a pro, she was a veteran of that game.
And it shows. Though she doesn't notice that her performance was good due to the boost she got on her Talent status.
As she passed the double doors that was headed straight to the terrorist, she instinctively raises her sights and shoot at that place while she is moving on the side where the tunnels which are near her.
She didn't notice this but she manage to hit one of the enemy who manage to spot her and puts his health in the red.
While this is happening, she moves on the stairs up on the tunnel and quickly ducks when felt some footsteps in there.
She took a step back as she saw on her screen a silhouette and the sound of footsteps getting near there.
Without hesitation, she quickly aimed at the stairs above and immediately shoots. The timing was exact. As the terrorist guy was just coming there, he was hit by a shot on his chest.
She shoots five more times on his side and he fell down before he can even aim at Kotomi.
"O-one down!"
She stuttered, surprised that she even manage to do that.
While still feeling surprised at that, she was already moving her character to the tunnel upstairs and going straight to the terrorist base.
There is a terrorist there who was camping there and pointing at the entrance where she is coming. That terrorist shoots at her at the distance though his aim was off.
She didn't aim and just shoot at that side while walking sideways. After that she crouches while still shooting at that side.
The terrorist that was shooting her was barely hit at the first two shoots, and then he was hit in his head, making it a headshot kill.
"... Wow, I didn't thought I was this good"
She muttered while looking at her view count. No one is watching her at all.
'No... let's just continue on my stream'
She thought though she still felt hurt that even with those amazing movements, no one even bothers to come and watch her game.
She moves forward and look for her enemies at the terrorist camp. She then moves forward and goes to the double doors which will lead her to Site A.
She can hear some gunshots on the distance and can see that some of her teammates are falling down. Though she doesn't manage to get on the site A before the first round ends. Her team wins.
"Wow, that's our first win"
She said before buying an AK47 and a body armor.
After that, she goes around to shoot more enemies again in the second.
Second round. She manages to kill two enemies before the round ends with her teams win again.
"Ah! This is so fun!"
Third round. She manage to kill one enemy on the double doors at the place where the tunnel is nearby.
"Great, I am on the groove"
And then she died when she made a wrong turn on the tunnel. There are three terrorist in there. She manage to put one on the red before she was killed. Her team still win at this round.
"Why did I go there!?"
Fourth round. She goes along with her team and camps on the Site A with a one shot sniper rifle. She manage to kill a single one before it ends with the win of her team again.
"Great, we won!"
Round five to round seven. Same as round four. Though she killed two enemies.
"Ahre? Did I have a talent for this game?"
Round eight. Tried to camp on Site A again. The terrorist goes to Site B to plant the bomb. She was forced to go there and was killed without even killing any enemies. The bomb exploded. Terrorist wins.
"Ah! Why did they go there!?"
Round nine. Go to the Site B and camp there. Was forced to go to Site A because all the terrorist are there. She manages to kill three of them and defuse the bomb. Her team wins.
"Amazing. I didn't thought I could really do that! Those are three kills in a single round!"
Round ten to round eleven. Decided to abandon the rifle and use assault rifles. Manage to kill one enemy but was too late to defuse the bomb. Terrorist wins on both rounds.
"Ugh... maybe I am not that good at this game after all"
Round twelve. She decided to go behind enemy lines by going to the Site B and going straight to the tunnels that leads to the terrorist camp. She moves around the terrorist camp until she found out that Site A was planted with a bomb.
"Ah! I need to hurry!"
She can see that her teammates were being killed one by one and when she got to the vicinity of the Site A, all her teams are dead. All the terrorist are still alive.
"Ah... I am doomed. Well, I'll just try my best"
And in an amazing reversal, she killed them all with precise shots without her aiming at them. Before she was killed, her maneuvers manage to miss most of the shots of her enemies before she manages to kill them. Then she manages to defuse the bomb before it exploded. Her team wins.
"Oh my god! I did it! I really did it!~"
That was also when the chat box exploded.
[CT] Akujiki : Damn, that was so hardcore!
[CT] Hoshi(Star)Ohoshi : Sakaguchi_Kotomi that was epic. I didn't thought we have a pro player in this room!
[T] Shonenjump : Dammit! All my teams are noob!
[T] Guugure : How did you dodge my bullets?
[CT] Akujiki : She showed you the sick moves!
[CT] Mystral : Dancing with the shadows
[T] Guugure : Wait, she is a girl!?
[CT] Hoshi(Star)Ohoshi : Yeah. I keep hearing her talking. Though the sound are choppy so she might be using a cheap mic.
[T] Hamon : Did she just predict where I would shoot her? Like what the hell!?
"Uhmm... I think that was just a fluke. I might be lucky today..."
Kotomi(Ayumi) said shyly. She was not used to being praised.
"No. Your good" A guy's voice told her that.
Looking at the chat box, she saw that it was one of her teammate whose name is Jinchuuriki.
After that, the last three rounds progress smoothly for her team. They won on all those three rounds before the time is up.
"And that's the first game"
She said while feeling elated about her performance.
She was just planning to leave the room and join the others when the players inside the room stops her.
Guugure : Hey, play with us Sakaguchi_Kotomi!
Akujiki : Let's have another round!
Mystral : Jinchuuriki make her host.
"Ah... they are inviting me. They want to play one more round with me. Well, I am okay with that"
She said as she put cursor out of the Leave Room button.
"You keep talking to someone Sakaguchi-san. Is there some people besides you?" She heard Jinchuuriki asks. After he asks that, he passed the host title to her.
Now as a host, she can decide on what map they can play.
"Ah... I am a newbie Vtuber. I am Sakaguchi Kotomi. This is my first time streaming my game"
She replied to Jinchuuriki.
Due to this being an open channel, the other people inside the room also heard what she said.
Guugure : Wait, your a Vtuber!?
Mystral : First time hearing you
Hoshi(Star)Ohoshi : Add me as friend!
Akujiki : Me too!
Hamon : Let me join too!
Akujiki : I am already your fan!
Guugure : I just search you on the net and saw that you are really streaming.
Hamon : Wow, she is really streaming!?
Hamon : We are LIVE!
"Oh, then please add me as a friend" Jinchuuriki said on the chat.
Akujiki : Let's play let's play

Mystral : Please pick Apartment!
While they are clamoring on the chat box, Kotomi was looking at the list of the map. There are some maps that have a different name but looks like the same as the maps she knows on CS GO. There are also maps in there that are very unique.
She picks the Apartment map that one of the players requested of her before she picks the ready button.
No one really leaves the room so the game started immediately.
"Thank you for watching me desu! This is Sakaguchi Kotomi. Until next time!~~"
It took two hours before she finishes her stream. She said her farewells to her new friends in there before leaving the room and exiting the game.
After that, she stops the stream. The stream was hosted on YouTube live so after finishing her stream, it was already posted in there.
She finishes her stream not because she was tired of playing with those people. In fact, she wants to play more with them.
She finishes the stream because it was getting long and the memory capacity of her computer are becoming full.
There is also another single reason...
"Kyaaah! So embarrassing! So embarrassing!"
Her face was already beet red as she dives on her bed and rolled on it in embarrassment.
For the whole two hours, she kept acting like a cutesy teenage girl. It was something that heavily contrasts her personality. And so she was very embarrassed.
She can't handle it anymore she gave some short replies on the players in that room before leaving that room and ending her stream. It's because she was becoming dizzy at acting someone that she felt embarrassed on doing.
She screamed while blocking her face with her follow. She still can't forget what she did awhile ago on the stream.
"What desu!? What's with those cutesy tone!? Aaaah! I want to find a hole and bury myself there!"
She yelled in a muffled scream while her pillow is still blocking her face.
While she is doing that...

Fan Points. She can have it by either completing a quest or having a fan. And she can also acquire FP if the person who is already her fan became more at awe in her. Basically, she can acquire FP if she manage to put a larger impression on the other party than her first impression on them.
She can buy abilities on her system if she acquire enough FP.
"Okay, it seems like there are a lot of things I need to do. But for now, I'll use all my pills and strengthen up myself!"
She said to herself.
She won't forget her purpose why she is doing this. To become independent of her relatives and have enough money to sustain herself for a lifetime.

So before you complain, I know that's not how CS GO works.
As I said, while the gameplay looks the same as CS GO, the UI for it is very different. The server selection and even room selection can be likened to Crossfire. Another old online FPS game.
