"Alright so we are kicking it our style!" I smile up at Santana as I finish my sandwich "Sucks we could not get another day out of school"
"It happens" She grimaces after I talk with my mouth open and I smirk "Do you not like full mouth talkers?"
"No they are disgusting" I open my mouth and show my chewed up food "No! That is so gross!"

I chase her around the stage as we laugh and sing. She is my perfect other half. We can spontaneously sing and be happy. I can not wait to see if she has something planned for after school.

"Rachel Barbara and Santana Diabla!" I jump and everything moves in slow motion "No!"
I look up and see Santana looking down in horror. I reach a hand up but she is too far. She is too far out of my reach. Just how I used to think she was.
Next thing I know I am hearing a crack...then nothing.
-Time skip- Santana pov-
"So she fell after Shelby came in?" I nod and the officer writes something down on his pad of paper "Thank you for being so helpful Miss Lopez"
"Have your heard any news?" He looks around and then nods "Is she ok? Did I kill her?! Oh god! I bet I killed her!"
"You have a strong girl in her Santana" He smiles and looks around again before speaking "She is currently doing fine they are just running a few tests"
"Remind me never to tell you anything again" A lady in doctor scrubs comes over to us with a playful smirk "Think I would have learned by now"
"You married a honest man" They both smile lovingly and I am in awe of their banter "Just like I married a beautiful woman!"
"Is beautiful all I am?" He shakes his head and she raises a eyebrow "Oh yeah? What else am I?"
"Annoying to everyone else" We all turn to see Papi and Hiram smiling "You two are always so lovey dovey!"
"It pleases your gay heart" Hiram rolls his eyes still smiling "So what is the news June? Anything new?"
"Well Officer Mario" I raise a eyebrow and she nods "Just like the video game..Anyways! She has pulled through but she is asking some weird questions"
"Weird?" Oh shit "What weird?"
"Well there was a crack heard by multiple people but yet she has nothing cracked" I try to sneak away from them but she clears her throat "Miss Lopez? Did you jump after her?"
I quickly shake my head "Nope!" Keep off of your left leg "I just want to go see my girlfriend! Well soon to be...anywho I should go see her right? What room is it?"
"40" June steps aside smirking "Please let us follow you"
"I brought coffee!" Oh god now everyone is here "You still feeling off Santana?"
"Nope" June is looking me in the eyes daringly "I am perfectly fine"
"So walk" I get a few steps before I collapse in pain "I need a wheelchair and the X-Ray room ready!"
"What happened?" I do not look up at Shelby "How is she hurt?"
"The crack was something in her left leg" I refuse to look up "Did you jump Santana? This is very important to answer truthfully! No reason to be a hero"
"I need to see Rachel" I push myself up and start zombie walking "I will go one way or another"
"Stubborn just like me" Mamis hand soon wraps around my wrist "Stand down Lopez! That is a order from the top!"
"Mari!" Papi pouts and slumps down some "I am in my work place!"
"Boo-hoo" Mami looks me in the eyes "You will get that checked now"
"Fine" I sigh and look at Shelby "Make sure she is ok"
"I can" Judy steps forward with Fran and Quinn "We were doing stuff with her today anyways..let LeRoy and Shelby talk with Hiram"
I nod and let the doctors move me. This is so not how today was supposed to go. I am not happy I have ruined things. I almost killed the love of my life too.
How could I have been so stupid?
-Rachel pov-
I am flipping through channels when the door opens. I look up and frown some when I see it is not Santana. I see Quinn looking amused as the three Fabray girls come in. I never expected this scene before.
Before this year I would have never imagined Quinn being near me. She hated me and I just wanted to be her friend. Now I have met the good side of her and her family.
"I see we are not who you were expecting?" I nod and Quinn chuckles "Well we were already going to hang out today anyways"
"So we brought the party here" Judy holds up some yarn "I have been told you can not sow or crochet"
"It would be a skill that would be helpful" Judy comes over and holds out some yarn "Wait I am learning?"
"Of course" Fran pulls out some hooks "Let's get this show on the road!"
-Time skip-Santana pov-
I am wheeled into Rachel's room finally. It has been a few hours now. I have a cast and everything. I look around and see Judy is the only one awake.
"She is knitting a sweater for you" I look at Rachel and see she has a half made yarn sweater on her "She has done such a good job"
"Thank you" She shakes her head "What?"
"Thank you for bringing this girl into our lives" Judy smiles happily "She is wonderful...you best never hurt her again understand Santana?"
I nod and Mami wheels me to the bed. I grab Rachel's hand and smile. Today seems to have ended better. Just have to see what tomorrow brings.
I just hope it is better than today.
