Chapter 8 : Proving My Innocence In GOS

The second round started and currently, Kotomi was being scorned at by her teammates.

"Fucking cheater, quit now!" That was KumaSniper.

"Shit, there is a hacker here. Fucking worst man." That's one of her teammates.

The others are openly showing their hostility at her. They didn't like hackers at all.

Most players of GOS are serious people. It's at the level of toxicity.

So when they saw someone that they think as a hacker, they are quick to get angry and will openly insult the one they think is hacking.

There are many reasons about this but the main reason is because hackers break the immersion that the pro players have of playing.

They can't show their skills and wits when a hacker was among the game, playing without any regards to the rules.

Of course, Kotomi was being falsely accused.

But who would believe her. She just shows something that even the top players of this game can't possible do. Her frame perfect movements are just too much for them to believe.

Though her fans are pretty angry because she was being insulted, only a few of them really felt that way. The majority who was currently watching her stream left because they also felt that she is also cheating.

The one who she fought awhile ago is Yanjiro. It was someone who was proven to have a very fast reflexes when it comes to this kind of game. And his accuracy was very high.

Dodging all three of his shots is already at the level of ridiculousness.

One shot, still okay. Two shot missed, maybe it's possible. But three shots, now that's just impossible.

But even though a lot of people are angry at her now, they really don't want to kick her. They want to see if she will do it again. If she manages to wipe out the five again, that's when they will be convinced that she was really a cheater.

Well, she is indeed cheating, though not in the sense of hacking. She have superhuman reflexes and also the abilities that makes her essentially godlike when it comes to FPS games. She also have a godly prediction which makes it so that she can predict what will happen next in several seconds.

But of course, people doesn't know about it.

And talking about her...

"Uhm, I am not cheating. I am sorry if this sounds like I am boasting but I am really not cheating. I just move the way that I felt you know. It was my usual playstyle. I think I am being wrongly accused her."

That's her defense.

It was a weak defense but she doesn't know what to say other than that.

She was very good and she knows it. Though she is not cheating, she also felt somewhat guilty because she is being unfair to the players for having essentially the abilities that boosted her gaming capabilities.

More viewers left her because of what she said. They felt that she was becoming shameless for saying that.

For them, she was essentially saying that she was much better than any top players in the world.

Now, only a mere 300 active viewers are remaining.

There are some who stayed who was now openly hostile to her in her HC.

"... I am sorry if I offended anyone. I think this is a bad idea joining here..."

While feeling depressed at the viewers' and players' reception to her, she still decided to continue her stream.

She can't just quit at the middle of her stream. That was the same as admitting that she was cheating.

Though, those who doesn't believe her felt that she was becoming too shameless for continuing her game. They are already thinking that she should just left and let the real pros to play their game in peace.

'Did I overdo it? But if I don't get serious, it felt like I am disrespecting the other party' she thought while feeling down.

She didn't want to go easy on her plays. She is not egoistic enough to feel like she needs to go easy on someone because she was just good. She still felt that she is not the best after all.

In her opinion, those who are going easy on their enemies are narcissistic. It's like they are already seeing themselves as higher than the one they are facing.

She doesn't like that kind of thinking. That's why she is not holding back when playing. For her, she still felt inferior to anyone.

Because if she doesn't felt inferior at all, she shouldn't be relying on her Vtuber System. She should have proudly uses her natural talent if she ever have one.

Of course when it comes to a real fight, that would be doubtful. She knows that she have ridiculous strength, though she doesn't know how strong she is because she doesn't have anyone to compare to. But she is sure that she will do something irreversible if she uses her strength to a normal person.

While she have a strong belief on looking at herself as inferior to others, she is not stupid to also think of the others as someone who can survive her strength.

But anyway, she continued playing the game while trying not to be distracted with the people scorning her.

"Fuck! Still playing!? Guys, let's see what this dude can do?" That was KumaSniper who spat that in irritation.

All of them just stayed on the CT Base while she was moving alone.

As stated above, she won't hold back when playing a game.

So although they won't help her, she will try and win this game with her lonesome.

She is not confident at herself. She is confident at the abilities that she have.

Of course she is not thinking that she will win just because she got these abilities. She was just telling herself that she will try her best.

She moves towards the double doors and then immediately shoot at the tunnel path that was in front of the double doors above where the ascending path to the T Base can be seen.

Someone was hit in there when they are just trying to go down the sloped path.

She goes straight to the ascending slope to get to the tunnel that leads to the other ascending slope near the T Base.

She was using an assault rifle. When she heard some footsteps coming on the side, she immediately pointed her cross hair at that side and with her godly prediction, she shoots at that spot.

In perfect timing, the guy who just leaned his head to look at the tunnel was hit in the head, ending his life immediately.

There are others on Silky's back who saw him being headshotted and they immediately move back while one of them, Ninja-sama, throws a Molotov at her direction.

But predicting that, after she was done shooting Silky, she immediately move backwards without stopping until the Molotov exploded. It didn't hit her because she managed to immediately escaped at that tunnel entrance.

She make a round trip on the building besides this tunnel entrance to get to the sloped area.

Yanjiro and the others are also prepared for her to appear in there and was preparing for her body to pop out at the side.

But she also predicted that they are waiting there so she changes into her flash grenade and throws it at their direction while leaning only his head. After she threw it, she immediately move around and go back to the tunnel entrance that leads to the sloped area near the T Base.

Yanjiro seeing the flash grenade moving at their position quickly shouted at his teammates.

"It's a flash, turn back!"

And while he was saying, he was already moving towards the tunnel entrance and passing through his teammates. His teammates are also moving at the tunnel entrance because of it.

So before they got hit by a flash of light, they managed to turn to the tunnel entrance. Kotomi was also going there so they managed to see each other when that happened.

And Kotomi was much faster than them. She shoots at their direction while going to the side of the tunnel entrance, where the closed double doors is located.

Yanjiro's team were also pros so they are quick at aiming on her way and shooting at her.

Though they are in for a surprise because she manages to dodge their first round of shots by just leaning her body to the left while still moving towards the left side of the tunnel entrance while she is shooting at their way.

Due to the preciseness of her shots, one of them died after being hit five times at his body.

All of that happened before the flash grenade that she threw exploded.

When it exploded, she managed to passed through the onslaught of bullets and take cover besides the wall behind the tunnel entrance near the closed double doors.

Yanjiro and Ninja-sama are the only ones left.

While that is happening.

[CT] FG_KumaSniper : Okay, I'll be reporting that motherfucker!

He inputted that comment in public so Yanjiro and the others can see it.

They can't believe that her alone can defeat three pro players. Though they didn't see it, they know that it was impossible to do this in this server. Even Yanjiro needs some time to kill his enemies one by one. Doing a simultaneously kills in a single moment is just totally impossible.

The other players who died on her hands replied by making their comments public to all.

They are pretty bitter. This is also one of the prides of the pro gamers.

Because they know that they are very good at what they are doing, seeing something that they themselves can't do will make deny that very reality. They won't believe it other than it was cheating if they themselves can't do it.

In theory, this is possible to pull off. But to do it, they need to have the reflexes beyond that of a human. Basically, they need to react much faster than 0.2 seconds, the theoretical thought process speed of a person.

No one can do that. No one other than Hoshimachi Ayumi (Sakaguchi Kotomi).

Yanjiro and the others are moving around on their position but wasn't advancing or retreating. They are just pointing their guns at the side where she is located.

In her prediction, she can't dodge all of their shots when she gets out of her cover. The two are pro players who have fast reflexes. Their shots are also accurate. Though she can survive some shots, there is a chance that she will die and don't manage to kill one of them.

But she knows she only have a moment to think about this because one of them will throw a bomb on her way.

So she thought of a way and after just a split second, she immediately thought of a way to kill the two without dying. Though, she will be damaged.

She goes out of her cover and pointed her gun at their direction.

When she did that, Ninja-sama was just preparing to throw his HE Grenade on her way. Yanjiro was quick to point his gun at her and shoot her.

Having the right prediction where he will shoot, she leaned her body, to the left.

Yanjiro predicted that she will lean her body to the right while walking to the right so to hit her and possible headshot her, he turned his gun slightly farther on the left, at the area where her head would be if she leaned her body to right.

Having completely predicted that, he missed his first shot. But he was already moving without thinking too much about.

He moves his gun on her center mass while she is moving to the right. Though before he can shoot, she was already shooting at their way and due to the precision of her shots, he was hit once. His vision tilting for a split second due to being hit.

At that exact time he was hit, he fired his shot, completely missing her.

He should've have hit her if not for the fact that after pointing at her center mass, she changes to leaning to her right. Her left chest should have been hit if not for that.

He has been read once again. Played like an idiot.

While this is happening, she was still continuing on her shots and because Yanjiro can't focus, he instinctively crouches again.

And once again, he was shot in the head.

It was already ingrained to him that jumping while being rained by bullets is a bad idea in this game. Pro players can easily hit a player who does that, even if they crouch while jumping. It was one of the most idiotic moves that only a child will do in this game.

So the only way to survive is to crouch. A player have a higher chance of survival by just crouching when they are in the middle of gunfire.

This is why he crouches when he should have known that he shouldn't do that. This is also what happened to him in the first round.

When this happened again, he clicked his tongue while feeling irritated at it.

This all happened while Ninja-sama was moving back and changing back to his SMG.

When he manages to change into his SMG, Yanjiro is already down.

And then she was aiming her gun on his way.

[(GM) Maxwell has joined the game]

That kind of thing was seen in the logs. This GM was the one who came here after being reported by all Kotomi's teammates and those who died at the Terrorist side.

Though while this is happening, Kotomi was completely focused on Ninja-sama. She saw that on the logs due to her inhuman dynamic vision but she decided to ignore that and finish this game by killing the remaining terrorist player.

She stop moving before Ninja-sama can shoot. His shot misses her by a small margin on her right side while she is shooting on his way. Then she made a motion of moving to the left.

Ninja-sama, making an instinctive reaction due to her movement quickly shoots at her way while pointing it at her center mass and slowly moving his shots to the left.

But it was just a feint. She was really just going to move to the right. Though it would be impossible to still dodge the bullets with just forcing her body to move on a different direction. She should have been hit based on her sprites.

But once again she dodged. By doing a crouch and leaning to the right.

With her body on the lower ground and his head getting to the center mass, her head should have been hit. But because her head was leaning to the right and Ninja-sama was shooting while going to the left so all his shots was missing by a wide margin.

While he was panicking and was trying to change his line of shot, she was already firing at his way.

Hitting him in his head, this marks the end of the second round.

While this is happening, her loyal viewers were very amazed at her feats. Though there are a lot more people who are calling her a cheater.

Some people who are fans of the other players she was playing with in the room also learned that she was streaming and find her channel just so they can join her HC and then hurl more abuse at her.

It seems like Maxwell is fluent at Japanese because he kept talking like that since when he came to the room where Yanjiro and the others are awhile ago.

Though it can be seen that she is not cheating if they just look how she is moving. Cheaters or hackers doesn't need to do that. They will just stand there and they won't lose any health at all. And using aimbot, they can just shoot anywhere and it will still hit the enemy. Wall shots are no problem because cheaters and hackers can just turn some values on their hacking application and then shoot wherever the enemy is and they will just die. Even by just shooting their name indicator will kill them. Or, even just typing kill or godmode will be very simple for a real hacker.

If they just think carefully, they would have to think why she bothered dodging at all if she will be caught at the start as a hacker. Isn't it more sensible that she shows she is a hacker at the start if she will be exposed earlier on anyway?

Maxwell see that the player didn't do anything wrong. But he still need to make sure.

This game doesn't allow injustice just like this. If any so called "Pro Players" just decided who are cheating and who are not, less players will play their game. That would be bad for their business. They are making a healthy gaming environment for the players as much as they can so everyone can enjoy their game. After that, it was done.

He said before giving her a smiling emoticon.

"Sorry about that, I will reprimand the players who did this to you. Also, to ensure that no one calls you a cheater anymore, here is a proof."

But she knows that she shouldn't mope like this. She still needs to get back to her computer and update her Chirper. She also needs to see if her account on YouTube was fine now or not.

With that, she moves on her Chirper account and looks at it. There, she saw that a lot of hate filled messages are on her mails. It seems like the fans of the players she played with awhile ago were attacking her because they thought she was trying to get some attention.

Well, cheating on a stream of top ranking players can be said to be at the heights of shamelessness. Of course those who thought she was doing that will think that she was just trying to troll on the game just for the fun of it.

That's what she reasoned on herself while looking at the hate comments.

"... ugh... now I felt like an idiot."

She felt like crying while feeling some tears come to her eyes.

She was weak willed and she knows that. Why would she not show her face on the people if she is not weak willed. She have a trauma of being seen by a person due to being used at being hurled some insults.

She then tried to just hold it in and start making a post on her Chirper.

She then saw that she was suspended for 24 hours. Though, it seems like she have an email from the management itself as she sees the emails option on it in her account on YT.

With that, she felt somewhat relieved by that.

Though, she was curious about the competency of YouTube in this world. In her past life, she heard rumors that the YouTube in her past life is not really that competent and are also inflexible.
