Chapter 13 : Playing PUBF
It is now Tuesday. July 6, 2035.
Ayumi woke up early and started going around her house to clean it up. After an hour, she was already done with all of the rooms, even the backyard.
Next, she goes to the bathroom to wash herself.
After that, she took all her dirty clothes and uses the laundry machine to clean up her clothes.
Finally, she goes to her refrigerator to pick her meal for today. Then she took some eggs and bacon inside it before going to her kitchen to cook it. Of course, she didn't forget about the rice.
She then cooked a rice first before she made it into a fried rice. She picks a carrot and celery and sliced it to tiny pieces to be used along with the fried rice.
After she was done with all of that, it was time for her to eat her breakfast.
"Itadakimasu!" After giving her thanks for her meal, she finally started eating.
After awhile, she once again thank for her meal before going to the sink to wash her dishes.
Then, she goes back to the bathroom to once again wash her face and then her teeth.
And now, she was ready to go to her streaming area.
"Now then, they requested for me to play PUBF. I wonder if they will be satisfied with my gameplay?" She wondered to herself as she walks to the second floor to get to her streaming room.
"Hello everyone, this is Sakaguchi Kotomi desu!~" She said with a cutesy tone.
She was just done making an account on PUBF. She started her stream before logging in.
Truthfully, it's not really on PUBF where she created an account. She created a Gears account (the equivalent of Steam in her past life). PUBF was just a client game for Gears so she needs to have an account in it to play PUBF.
Even though this was a clone of PUBG in her past life, some things are different on it.
Like the character creation process...
"It said that I should choose a gender. Well, it's female obviously." She said while pointing at the gender section.
After that, she just turned the others into the default appearance before finally starting the game.
Other than that, the UI was also different than the one in her past life. There are also many things different inside the game like the weapons and the other things.
Still, the gameplay was like PUBG.
"It seems like I can choose whether to play solo, duo, or a team. There is also a mode called squad where up to 20 players can team up inside the game." She said as she looks at each of the description of the game modes in the game.
Other than that, there are also levels and other options like the Shop where she can buy cosmetics and loot boxes. There is also an event menu where she can play on a time limited map. And there are a lot more.
"Now then, what should I choose I wonder?" She asks her viewers while thinking about it.

Seeing that many of them wanted for her to go solo so she decided to choose solo.
"Okay, I'll choose solo."
After saying that, a loading screen occurs before she found herself in a vast area with many people besides her. There is a large aircraft dock behind these many people.
Most of these people are moving around while some are just standing. There are some who are crouching and some who are doing whatever shenanigans on some corner.
She can also hear some of the players. It seems like their speaker are activated or maybe they are using a soundboard.
"Wow... this is my first time seeing a lot of players."
And she wasn't even joking.
She didn't play any FPS game other than Counter Strike in her past life. She also played Call of Duty, but not the multiplayer ones.
She wasn't really that interested in FPS games. What she mostly likes are RPGs.
Though because she was already known in her channel as a Pro FPS Player so she was stuck playing this genre of game.
She was just waiting for someone to request her to play other genre of games, mostly if it was a JRPG. She also wouldn't mind if it was a MMORPG.
Anyway, this is her first time seeing many players in a single room. It was like she was playing an MMO instead of a shooter game.
PUBF wasn't really an FPS game because it also have a Third Person View (TPS) and a touch of survival genre on it. The proper genre for it would be a Battle Royale Game.
She doesn't know that and just thought of this as an FPS which is also right because it's up for the player's preference if they want to play in an FPS or TPS.
"This is the first time I am playing this game. I've watch some videos about this game but I don't know much so I think I won't be as good as what you are saying about me." She said to her viewers while she looks around the players roaming around this place.
Then her viewers just told her that it was okay and they also like to see how she will adapt to a new shooter game.
While she was reading those comments, she saw a countdown on the upper field of her vision. It started in five and then it counts to four until it goes up to zero.
When it hits zero, the screen turns black and then the scene changes when it came back. Now she was seeing the aircraft flying in a straight line on an island.
The island seems to be the second largest one. It was a 6 km x 6 km map.
Though it looks different than the usual map on PUBG.
Majority of the map was covered by a single island while below it is a small island connected by two bridges. One on the east and one on the west below that large island.
The small island below only have an abandoned airport in it.
As for the large island, there is a river starting on the ocean on it's North Eastern side of it and going to the south western side of the large island. At the middle of the large island, the river splits into two, making the river end on the southwest and the northwest. There is also a large pond on the way near the center part of the northwestern river.
Then there is a hospital on the northwest, just outside the river's perimeter. Inside the parted river on the west, there is a small abandoned village on the western part of the island. This abandoned village was connected by the roads that goes past the river and straight to the hospital. It also connected to a large port area on the southwest beyond the enclosure of the parted river in it.
The large port area was also connected to the long road to the southern part of the large island which is also connected to the western bridge of the small island below that connects it to this large island.
In the middle of the long road, beyond the road to get to the western bridge connecting to the small island. There is an abandoned village there with one five story building in it. Then the roads continue to get to the southeast where it also connects to the eastern bridge that connects this large island to the small island.
On this abandoned village with a five story building in it, there is another road to the north which leads to the two places. The road splits up into two direction and on the left part of the split road, they will encounter an abandoned marketplace. The right part of that road will lead to a ghost town which have many abandoned and destroyed buildings in it. The split road will then goes straight to another part of the map. The left side connects straight to the northeastern part of the island while the right side connects to the hospital which is at the northwestern part of the large island.
Now going back to hospital, it also connects to a large column of warehouses with two watchtowers on it located at the northern part of this large island. After that, going east starting at this column of warehouses is another long road which leads to a medium sized hut on the northeastern part of this large island.
Then starting at this medium sized hut, there are two roads. One is connected to the marketplace that was pass the northeastern river part of large island, which is also located near the center of this large island. Then the other road just goes straight to the southeastern part of this island.
Going straight to this southeastern road goes straight to the eastern bridge that connects this large island to the small island.
The other places not stated in here are either covered in trees or are just hills.
That's basically the look of the map that Kotomi saw when she looks at her minimap.
The flight path of this aircraft started on the southern part of this map, near the western part of the small island. It will end in the north northeast at the end of the map.
It seems like she can click anytime to jump.
There are some players who immediately dives out to land on the airport on the small island.
As for her, she was planning to land on the center of the island. She doesn't know much but based on what she sees using her superhuman thought processing, she thinks going to the marketplace is a good start for her.
For her viewers, she only looks at her minimap for a few seconds. But in her case, it was like hours. She literally studied the whole map with just that single glance.
Majority of the players are also jumping out of the aircraft when they got passed through the small island and was above the village with a single large building in it. Some of them are moving towards the large port while the others are still going to the long road on the east.
When the aircraft was above the place where the parted road is located, she finally jumps out along with some other people.
She goes straight to the direction of supermarket without activating her parachute first. After she can see the image of the market, she still waiting a little bit more until she was near tree height on the market's roof. When she got to that point, she finally activated her parachute.
Because she was pretty near on the roof of the marketplace so it only took a few seconds before she landed on it's roofs.
Then she quickly moves on the door on the rooftop that leads to inside of this marketplace.
She still doesn't know the whole map because she only manage to get a view of it in her minimap. She have some knowledge because of the videos that she watches yesterday. One of the things that she watches about this map is this marketplace.
So she knows some of the item locations of this place.
Most items on the marketplace are energy drinks and foods. Other than that, there are some handguns and melee weapons inside it. Outside of it, there is a motorcycle and a roofless car on the parking lot of this marketplace.
She immediately goes down and found a lot of items lying on the ground. She quickly took the bag that she found in there and then picks up the energy drinks and the pills that she found on the ground. Other than that, she also found a golf club which she quickly take and equips to herself.
She was unused to the controls so she got a bit delayed on taking the items and arranging her inventory. Though for her viewers, she was already fast enough.
Though she was still in FPS mode so they can't see much in her surroundings. But they didn't tell her to change her perspective. They want to see how she will fare first. Of course, they didn't forget to cheer for her.
As she was done looting the whole marketplace, she tried going out but she was forced to go inside again when she saw another player just landing on the distance.
She crouches besides the wall near the entrance to this marketplace.
She heard the footsteps getting near her location and when the door opens, she finally moves.
She quickly clicks the mouse to hit him with her golf club. Then she moves around the player while still focusing her attacks at that player.
The player was confused but chose to just punch everywhere. But he can't even put a hit because somehow, she always manages to get out of the way before she was even hit.
This is once again thanks for her inhuman prediction skills. Knowing what will happen in the near future and also predicting the best possible action to her advantage, she manages to move before the player can even process what the hell is happening.
So with just a few smacks, she manages to down a player.
As the player was down but was still alive, she continued smacking the player with her golf club until he finally dies.

She knew that they are just joking due to the comments. Most of them are references to something she didn't know.
She knows a lot of animes and games but that was on her past life. This world is new so she doesn't know the references being used there. She can only compare the reference she knew to the one that they are saying.
While she was looking at the comments and telling them that she's not that psychotic, she saw that there is nothing on the guy.
Well, she already expected it because she just saw that the player she killed just landed in her front.
Though somehow, like an instinct, she just uttered these words.
"Ah, that's bad. He doesn't have anything useful..."
This comment makes her HC goes silent for awhile before it exploded once again.

She didn't know this but because of her Talent, she manages to instinctively know what will be much more entertaining to her viewers.
By giving a new perspective to her personality as Sakaguchi Kotomi, they will acquire a new topic to become interested to her. Her manner of speech was to make it much more memorable to her viewers.
She doesn't even know that she was doing it to make herself more interesting. That's because she was becoming more skillful at entertaining someone on her streams.
Anyway, she goes to the parking lot and look around it. After walking for some seconds, she found a Deagle and some ammunations for it.
She immediately equips it.
Walking more on the side and she found some clothes which she immediately took to wear. There are also shoes on the other side of the road in front of the marketplace so she goes there to take it.
She can hear some of the gunshots getting near so she immediately go to the tall grasses and lay down there. Then she moves while staying prone like that.
After moving towards the direction where the ghost town is located, she heard some rustling on the grasses nearby.
She immediately pointed her sights at that direction and look carefully at that direction.
Even with the grass covering her vision, she can see a small silhouette moving on the grasses in a crouch position. He was equip with a sawed off shotgun and it seems like he also have a bag with some items in it.
She lined her sights on the predicted area where the guy will move and then fired her shots there. Then she continued doing that while tracing the predicted path her enemy will move until she got a kill count notification.

Then she immediately stands up. She makes sure to look around her first before crouching once again and going to the area where she killed the player.
From there, she saw a dead body and a box which contains all the items that he was carrying.
She opens it and saw three energy drinks along with a painkiller. There is also a single stun grenade in there and some ammunations in it.
She took all of that and also the body armor that he was wearing. Then she also took the sawed off shotgun.
Her HC was amazed that she manages to detect a player that even them can't tell with how much grasses covering her vision.
She moves once again and goes straight to the ghost town.
The sounds of many gunshots are resounding there. She quickly gets up and sprinted to the nearest wall that she can see. When she got to the wall, she immediately crouches before moving slowly to the side of the wall and leaning her head to look at the streets.
She didn't see any person so she just moves forward.
She can hear some loud gunshots on a nearby house so she goes there. When she got to the back of one of the houses, she can hear the sound of someone panicking on the other side of the wall. It seems like their speaker is on.
She immediately to the window there and pointed her sawed off shotgun on that direction.
When she saw that there is no one getting in her sights and predicting that nothing bad will happen, she broke the window and entered the house.
Then she quickly lined up her sights on one of the doors when she heard footsteps getting closer to that direction.
At the first sign of it opening, she immediately shoots off her sawed off shotgun in that direction. Then she moves to the side before shooting on that direction again.
After her second shot, she interrupted her reloading animation by quickly changing her weapon to Deagle. There are hotkeys here that makes it easier to change from one item to another.
The player that she shots through seems to become scared because they didn't open the door again.
Kotomi doesn't even hesitate to get near to the door and open it before immediately moving to the side. The player seems to be delayed for moment due to the surprised of his assailant opening the door without hesitation but he manage to recover and shoot on her way.
Though it was too late because she already moved to the side.
While that was happening, she took a stun grenade on her inventory and then throw it on the opening that she made on the door before getting near on the door and closing it.
Because the player already shoots on her way using his M416 and because his aim became off for a moment due to shooting four rounds on that direction so he readjusted his aim for a moment.
That was enough moment for her to close the door without getting hit by one of his bullets.
Seeing a trail of red light moving to his side, the player immediately panics and tried to move back.
But that was a wrong move and now his whole screen suddenly flashes while the sound on his game became a muted ringing.
While this is happening, Kotomi hearing that the Stun Grenade exploded opens the door again and then shoots the Deagle on his way in his head. She double taps him in the head, making him fall down on the ground. Then she shoots him three more times while he was down, finally killing him.

After that, she moves towards his body and took his M416 and the ammos that he have.
He can hear a new pair of steps coming on this direction just outside of this room so she quickly moves to the side of the wall.
Though she somehow felt a bad feeling in that place so she changes position and now moves a bit more farther on the door leading to this room.
While she was doing that, she was also quickly changing her weapon into M416.
After that, she quickly pointed her sights on the door and seeing a silhouette trying to enter this room, she quickly shoots on the part where his head will appear.
In perfect timing, she manages to hit him in the head. Though he was wearing a helmet so he still have 3/4 of his HP.
The player was surprised and he froze for a moment due to that.
So she manage to hit him in the head again, putting his life on the red.
The player finally manages to move back.
But before it even happens, like she already expected it, she shoots his body through the cover of the door. The bullets pierced through the door and shoots into him. Hitting him two times downed him.
Predicting that it was like that, Kotomi moves to the front door to see him kneeling on the ground and moving around with slow movements.
She quickly equips her golf club and then kills him with it.

This marks her fourth kill since the start of this game. It's been only five minutes and already, there are four dead in her hands.
Though her last kill seems to have made her HC go wild again.
Seeing that they are calling her a psychopath again, she whined at them.
"I told you it's not like that!" She said while feeling amused at their behaviour.
She then moves out of this house to find more players to kill.
When the ten minute mark passed, she already moves around the ghost town and kills two more players before moving to the north where the warehouses are located.
On the fifteen minute mark, she kills one more before moving back to the ghost town due to the blue field getting closer to it. It seems like it will end somewhere near the ghost town so she decided to camp in there.
Along the way, she found two more players and killed them with a skillful maneuver. Then she took some of their items and weapons before moving on to the ghost town.
She then goes to the largest house in that place and hide on the rooftops there.
Twenty minute mark. She spotted one player and sniped him. Killing him. Then another player was sniped by her again.
Twenty five minute mark. A lot of player was killing each other and while that is happening, some gets near to her camping area. This also lined them up in her sights and killed them. Three players died on her sniping. Then she heard some footsteps going upstairs where she was located so she immediately changes to her M416 and then shoots the player who has just opened the door to check.
With another good maneuvering, she manages to avoid all his shot and killed him.
After that, some players died and on the endgame, only her and one player is left.
Which she quickly finishes with a snipe when his head pokes out on one of the corners of the wall on one of the houses in front of her vantage point.

She just showed an outstanding performance on her first time playing her game. And they knew that it was her first time because they saw that she was unfamiliar with the map even though she claimed that she watches some videos about it.
She didn't go to places that most viewers know as good hiding spots and places with a lot of strong weapons and good consumables and throwables.
Her choice of camping was also bad. Going to a place that open like her last location where she sniped pro players can't be replicated by a normal player. They will easily die when they were seen.
She really just have a ridiculous reflexes and senses. They are convinced that she was truly a godly gamer.
As for signs of cheating?
They didn't even entertain that thought. They already know how good she is since GOS so they know that she wasn't cheating.
She was pretty fast at adapting to her environment even with the bad choices of terrain to go hide herself. She manage by just pure skill alone.
So her HC was congratulating her.
"Now then, I'll be playing three more games until my streaming time ends."
After saying that, she once again picks the Solo gameplay on the game options and then joined a game again.
She passed her whole streaming time with just playing PUBF.
Somewhere in Yokohama...
On the top of the high rise buildings of this city, there stood two people. One is a muscular guy and the other is a beautiful woman.
"Tch... where the heck did she go!?" The guy clicked his tongue as he looks below the city.
"Kazagumo. Don't worry about it. I've already marked a curse upon her. She won't be able to escape us." The beautiful woman said in a cold tone.
The guy name Kazagumo turned his head on her direction with a menacing aura.
"Even with the curse, we won't know where she will croak. What if another person saw what she stole to us?"
"It doesn't matter. A normal person doesn't have any chances against us. We don't need the girl. We just need the pendant." The woman coolly said before she turned her back on the sight below. "Let's go. It seems like we won't be able to find her magical presence anymore."
"... Damn it! I swear if she is still alive, I'll fucking snap her in half!" The guy said before he follows the beautiful woman.
They jumped out of the roof and go to another roof of the building. Then they repeated that without the people noticing them.
While this is happening...
"Haaah... haaah... I must protect... this pendant... that my ancestors... entrusted to me... haah... haah..."
She was limping as she moves at th dark side of the alleyway in this city. Her feet was moving to the direction where the farthest residential area is located.
"I just need... to survive... and protect... this pendant..." The girl said in between her wheezes. "I must... live..." She muttered as she continues to limply walk through the dark alleyways.

So before you complain, let me just tell you that I don't know anything about PUBG. I don't even know how it was played and what are the controls in it.
I only watch Nekomiya Hinata and I still didn't understand anything about it.
But even if I don't know about that, I know that there are some weapons that appeared on this story which is not part of the original game.
So yeah... I hope that doesn't destroy your immersion on this story...
The original plan for this chapter is to write a full gameplay of PUBF from start to finish. Then I saw that it was getting ridiculously long and because I can't even understand what I am writing anymore so I decided to skip a lot of things and summarized it all.
Sorry about that...
Now as for the last scene there, it was my original plan. Yes, it will occur sooner in her life. The encounter of supernatural.
