~~~Chapter Nine~~~

With that out of the way, Rei is once again back on the stage. I am in my cat form under the disillusion charm once more. "In a corner of the soundless universe, there is a star that plays a beautiful melody. That is this Earth. The last song is titled, 'Eternal Melody'. Please enjoy."
The music plays. "Caught up in the sun…you are here in my heart. Even without saying you love me; you are here in my heart. Hey, thank you for your bravery. Look! A new power is born…Enveloping everything in its light.
I love you so much that I could die. Drifting in the wind the seed…will sprout like your smiling face. Beyond the sky and the sea…I will chase after my dreams with love. Your deep eyes told me to do that."
While the girls head outside I head back home but not before I use my magic to place Rei's lyrics into a book that will stop them from being destroyed. I fall asleep as soon as my head hits my pillow. My body is still in so much pain after all.
~~~Present~~~
Once again I wake up to feel that my body is in pain still. Looks like I am not going to school once again today. The pain isn't as bad as it was so I should be able to go to school next time.
I look at the clock to see that school hasn't started yet. Once again I see that there is breakfast on my desk along with the school work that I will miss today from being off. I eat my breakfast and do my school work before going back to sleep.
~~~3rd POV~~~
Ami and Makoto wait for the others. Makoto starts dreaming about Moonlight knight but snaps out of it when Ami speaks up. "A mysterious man who shows up and saves us whenever we're in danger."
Makoto places her hands on her cheeks. "The way he says, 'Adieu' when he leaves… it's just like my senior at school who broke my heart."
Ami removes her gaze from the sky and looks down at Makoto. "What? Then, the senior you liked always said, 'Adieu', when he left?"
Makoto sweatdrops. "I just mean it reminds me of him."
"I noticed that making bento for your boyfriend is pretty popular right now." Ami offers, breaking the silence.
Makoto lets out a thoughtful sound. "I haven't made lunch for anyone in a while now."
"Mako-chan?" Ami question before looking away and letting out a sigh. "Oh, honestly! Usagi didn't show up! We were supposed to discuss the identity of the Moonlight Knight."
Makoto lets out a chuckle and stands up, a hand on her hip. "Did you really think she would get up early and come?"
Ami sweatdrop and let out a laugh.
It isn't long before Usagi comes running out of her house. "I'm late!"
Luna is running after her, her bento in her mouth. "Usagi!" You forgot your bento!" Luna trips on the floor and Usagi's bento go flying in the air before coming back to the ground. Luna lets out a gasp, slides along the floor. She lays on her back and it lands on her stomach.
Usagi doesn't take any notice and continues running to school.
~~~Selena's POV~~~
~~~Five Hours Later~~~
I wake up to smell food on my desk. Mama must have brought up lunch while I was asleep. I test my body by sitting myself up. The pain is almost gone, luckily. I lean over and place my food on my lap. I eat the food before placing it back on the desk.
I get out of my bed, take off my pyjamas and go for a shower. After my shower, I changed into another pair of pyjamas. No point in changing in a pair of normal clothes. I change into a blue silk strap top and blue silk bottoms.
I sit on my bed and begin reading a book on Latin. I understand some Latin but not all of it.
~~~3rd POV~~~
When it comes time for Lunch, Usagi gets in trouble. "Tsukino-san! Not only were you late and forgot your homework, but you also fell asleep in class!"
"I'm very sorry," Usagi says sweatdropping.
Ms Haruna also sweatdrops. "Are you really? Oh well. Go have your bento."
"Yes, ma'am," Usagi says before turning around and walking off with her head lowered. "But I forgot my bento." A couple walks by laughing, bento in the girl's hand. Usagi stops and looks back at them, drool coming from her mouth. I'm so jealous.
Usagi closes her eyes which gain tears hanging from them as her stomach rumbles. "If I had known I would be late anyway, I would've had breakfast."
Ms Haruna watches the same couple walk by her. She places her thumbnail in her mouth. "I'm so jealous."
Usagi heads outside silent until she pops up happily, stars in her eyes. "I know. I should ask Mako-chan to share her yummy bento with me!" Usagi runs off.
Makoto and Ami walk towards where Usagi just was, missing each other. Makoto looks around for her. "Hey, Usagi-chan's not here."
"I wanted to talk about the topic from this morning. Oh?" Ami says as she hears music.
Makoto looks in front of her. "That's…"
Inside a classroom, a bunch of girls are huddles together with a dreamy look on their faces and hearts in their eyes as they listen to Eiru play his flute. "It's wonderful. Wow."
Ami and Makoto make their way over to the same classroom. "She not here either," Ami comments as she looks around for Usagi. "I thought she would be here."
Makoto places her elbow against the door. "It's such a nice melody. I could lose myself in it."
Ami looks up at Makoto surprised. "Oh, Mako-chan! Is he also just like the senior who broke your heart?"
"No, but both of them love music," Makoto admits as a dreamy look appears on her face.
Ami lowers her head in disbelief before she looks up and her eyes widen. "Oh! Speaking of Seijouro-san, he came to this school around the same time that the Moonlight Knight started showing up."
"What?" Makoto says in surprise. "No way…Him?"
"It couldn't be." Ami denies.
The image of Moonlight Knight appears in Makoto's mind and she lets out a gasp.
Eiru finishes playing and the girls surround him. "Seijouro! Please eat my bento!" "No, please eat mine!"
"Sorry, but I don't eat lunch." Eiru comments.
It is silent before the girls start once more. "No! That's not good for you! Seijouro, please eat!"
Eiru moves through the crowd of girls causing a small blush to appear on Makoto's face. Ami and Makoto move to the side as he walks through the door. The girls follow after him. "Seijouro! Please wait! Please eat!"
Makoto gazes after him, a blush on her face. If…if he's Moonlight Knight-sama…
She begins daydreaming about sharing her bento with him before Ami tries to snap her out of it. "Mako-chan? Mako-chan?"
Makoto snaps out of it and looks down at Ami with a red face. She places her arm behind her head and lets out a laugh before lowering her hand and clenching it into a fist in front of her. "I haven't been this excited for a long time! Ami-chan, leave it to me to investigate whether or not Ginga-senpai and the Moonlight Knight-sama are one and the same!" She hits Ami's shoulder causing her to fall to the floor. "Okay, now!" Makoto walks off.
Ami gets up holding her shoulder, face pale and her shoe on her head. Mako-chan, what's going on now?
With Eiru, he is walking down the stairs and the girls are still following him. He heads outside and still they follow him. He heads around the corner, looks behind him before disappearing just as the girls run past.
He lands on the roof fence and gazes down at them. He lets out a scoff and turns his head away.
Makoto, who had run after them, come to a stop and lets out a gasp as he looks up at the roof. "When did he…"
Eiru jumps off the fence and lands on the ground.
A blush appears on Makoto's face as she watches. "No way! Is he really the Moonlight Knight?" Makoto looks down nervously. "What should I do?" She laughs hesitantly before clenching her fist and looking back up to the roof. Well, whatever happens, will happen. She dashes back towards the school doors.
On the roof, Eiru plays his flute. He removes the flute and lets out a sigh. "They are truly beyond my comprehension. They keep saying, 'bento, bento.' What are they thinking?"
"That's because they like you!" Makoto says as makes up to the roof, breathing heavily.
"And you are?" Eiru questions.
Makoto slowly regains her breath before a smile appears on her face and a blush on her cheeks.
With Ami, she heads to a computer room and begins typing away. She reaches to her bento and takes a bite out of her food before looking back on the screen. On the screen, there is Moonlight Knight's image on the right and the picture of Eiru to the left along with his information.
The screen beeps. "The probability that Ginga Seijouro-san is Moonlight Knight is 0.2%." She eats the last of her bento. "It can't be him, after all."
The door opens and Usagi leans on it. "Ami-chan."
Ami sweatdrops and stands up. "Usagi-chan?"
"I found you at last." Usagi comments.
"What's wrong?" Ami questions.
Usagi lets out a happy sound and rushes over to Ami's bento before she pales and looks at her.
"What?" Ami asks.
"Bento…" Usagi trails off as her stomach grumbles and tears fill her eyes.
Ami sweatdrops. "I finished it already." She lets out a small laugh.
Usagi looks back at Ami's empty bento as tears continue to fall from her eyes and her stomach continues to grumble in hunger before she faints.
Ami grabs her top and shakes her. "Oh! Usagi-chan! Usagi-chan!"
On the roof, Makoto and Eiru had sat down and Makoto had opened her bento. She places a piece of a stick and Eiru stares at it. T-This is…
"Please try some." Makoto offers.
Eiru takes the stick and looks at it. "This looks like one of the sea creatures on this planet, but the quality of the material is different. Is there any reason why they're made to look like this?"
Makoto lowers her head and moves around nervously. "Um, Senpai, you wouldn't happen to like white roses, would you? when you're in the mood, do you dress up in an Arabian costume and walk around wearing a cape?"
She looks up at him and lets out a gasp as he places the piece of food in his mouth. Eiru's eyes widen before he closes them again. "Um…" Makoto calls out hesitantly. "D-Do you like it? Um…"
Eiru suddenly swallows causing Makoto to sweatdrop and back away slightly in surprise. Eiru turns to look at her. "Can I have another one?"
Makoto lets out a happy sound as a smile appears on her face. "Of course!" She lifts her bento. "Please help yourself! I also made some dessert, too!"
In the shadow, An stands there with her fist clenched as she glares at Eiru and Makoto. Eiru…
Eiru takes another piece of food and takes a bite. "Hmm…not too bad."
A dreamy look appears on Makoto's face before she gazes up at the sky. "I used to bring bento to him on nice days like today. He used to tell me how good it was. But he dumped me."
Eiru holds the bento to his chest and looks at Makoto. Makoto snaps out of her thought when she notices his gaze. "Oh, sorry for bringing up such a weird story."
"I don't understand at all," Eiru admits.
"What?" Makoto questions.
"Why do they offer bento when they like someone?" Eiru asks.
"Huh?" Makoto laughs softly. "If it's for someone we like, we girls try to express our feeling by doing something for them. Of course, there are times we even try things we can't do. And sometimes, we even feel we could die for that person."
"That's crazy." Eiru comments.
"Onii-sama…" An calls out as she walks over to them with a fake smile on her face.
"Natsumi…" Eiru says back.
"Is she your imotou-san?" Makoto questions.
"Yeah…" Eiru trails off.
"Onii-sama, stop putting unknown objects into your body!" An says with a glare.
Makoto stands up and stands in front of her. "Excuse me?! Regardless of how I look, I'm pretty good when it comes to cooking! I never use anything harmful to the body!"
An closes her eyes. "You there, please leave my onii-sama alone!"
Makoto scoffs. "It's not fashionable for an imotou to be jealous!"
An blushes and glares at her. "What did you say?!"
Eiru suddenly looks up and makes a small sound before looking down again getting both girls attention. "What's wrong?!
"Are you okay?" Makoto asks.
An and Makoto looks at each other before glaring at one another. "Don't touch him!" An orders.
"What did you say?!" Makoto demands.
Eiru holds his throat as tears stream from his eyes and he even turns back into his true face before going back to his human disguise a few times.
~~~After School~~~
Usagi is once again, standing in front of Ms Haruna with her head lowered.
Ms Haruna looks at Usagi with her eyes closed and sweatdropping. "Tsukino-san, you were late for school and forgot your homework. Then, you slept during class in the morning and again in the afternoon."
"I'm sorry," Usagi says sweatdropping.
"It doesn't matter anymore. You can go home now." Ms Haruna says with a sigh.
"Yes, ma'am." Usagi agrees before she leaves school, her head lowered still.
Ami looks up from the gate when she sees her. "Usagi-chan, are you okay?"
Usagi lifts her head and laughs. "I'm so hungry that I can't feel anything."
"Usagi-chan," Luna calls out.
Usagi looks down. "Oh, Luna…Oh, that's…" Happy tears fill her eyes as her stomach rumbles again. "My bento! It's my bento!"
"Luna couldn't give it to you this morning." Ami states.
Usagi crouches down and picks up her bento before rubbing her cheek against it. "Rub, rub, rub, rub."
Also walking home is An and Eiru. "I told you, it's a misunderstanding!" Eiru says sweatdropping.
"How should I know?" An replies.
"An…" Eiru trails off.
"I can't believe you actually ate human food!" She turns her head to glare at him. "You defiled our world, where our beautiful love is nurtured by the Doom Tree's energy!"
"You're wrong! Listen to me, An!" Eiru denies.
"Ginga Senpai," Makoto calls out causing the pair of them to look in front of them. "Why don't we go home together?"
An narrows her eyes causing Eiru to sweatdrop. "Oh, no…"
She turns her head to the side. "Please go right ahead! Knock yourselves out!" She walks off.
Eiru follows after her. "An! No, Natsumi!"
She stops near Makoto. "You don't need to worry about me! Take your time!" She walks off.
"Oh, boy…" Makoto mutters as she places her arm behind her head.
Eiru stops next to Makoto. "She's just such a handful."
Makoto looks down. "Since this is a good opportunity, I wanted to talk to you more." She laughs and Eiru agrees hesitantly.
They walk off together and sit down as the sky turns dark. "It seems like you and your imotou-san get along very well."
"You think so?" Eiru questions before looking to the left. Maybe An is angry. He looks back at Makoto who is staring at him. "Oh, did you say something?"
Makoto closes her eyes and looks away. "I can tell. Your imotou-san hates me now."
"No, she doesn't." Eiru denies. "Oh, if we're going to talk, I want to ask you something, too."
Makoto looks up with a smile and blush on her face. "Sure! Go ahead! Ask away!"
Eiru looks down confused. "Well, it's about the relationship between bento and liking someone."
Makoto looks at him confused. "You didn't understand anything I told you?"
"No, I didn't," Eiru admits without hesitation.
Makoto places her hand in front of her mouth and laughs. "You're funny!"
"What's so funny?" Eiru asks confused.
"Because!" Makoto says as she continues to laugh.
An is standing behind them behind a tree. She crushes a can beneath her foot as she clenches her fists as her body shakes in anger. How dare he?! Red energy surrounds her, and she changes into her true form.
Usagi, Ami and Luna are sitting in front of a tree while Usagi eats her bento. "What?! Mako-chan's out on a date with Seijouro-san?!" Usagi exclaims as Ami holds a handkerchief in front of her face to stop the food from getting on her and Luna sweatdrops from on top of Ami's head.
"Oh, please!" Ami says.
"Oops, sorry!" Usagi states.
Ami moves away slightly and wipes the handkerchief on her cheek. "I don't know if it's a date. She said she'd find out if Seijouro-san has something to do with the Moonlight Knight."
Usagi stops eating and looks at Ami. "There's no way Seijouro-san can be the Moonlight Knight! I can't believe you!" She finishes eating and places her hands together. "That was good!" She stands up and picks up her bag and bento. "Now, I have to go!" She dashes off.
"Usagi-chan!" Luna calls out causing Usagi to slide to a stop.
She turns to look back at them. "I have to find out if they're really dating! Seijouro-san told me he liked me! That makes me so mad!" She turns around and runs off.
"What the heck? She was the one telling me that he was annoying." Luna says in disbelief causing Ami to laugh awkwardly.
Back with Eiru and Makoto, she has explained things once again. Eiru, who is now standing up, turns around to look at her. "Then, love and bento are things you just give to the other person? Don't you think they're just doing it for show?"
"No way!" Makoto denies.
Eiru clenches his fist in front of his chest. "Love is something you should take!" He lowers his arm. "Giving something because they love someone? I don't get it."
Makoto lowers her head. "You think so? It's kind of sad if you think that love is something you should take." He turns to look at her and she looks up at him. "I think it's okay to express love in all sorts of different ways, but…"
"Shut up!" An angry voice demands. They both turn to see An standing there with her arms folded across her chest and an angry look on her face. "You impudent human female!"
Makoto lets out a gasp and stands up and Eiru looks at An. An…
"You need to be taught a lesson!" An's eyes glow red and energy is released which send Makoto backwards and onto the ground. An walks forward and stomp on Makoto's bento. "You're just a human! You don't deserve to talk about love!"
Makoto looks away from her bento. "Why, you!"
An narrows her eyes and Eiru stands up. "Wait!" She doesn't listen and holds her hands out in front of her. She releases energy from it which sends back Makoto and Eiru flying backwards.
Usagi, Ami and Luna come just to see this scene. Usagi lets out a gasp. "Oh!"
"Mako-chan!" Ami calls out.
"That's…" Luna trails off in surprise.
"What's going on?!" Usagi demands confused as Makoto pushes herself up. "What should I do?!"
Luna looks up at Ami. "Ami-chan, get Mako-chan!"
Ami nods her head. "Got it!"
Usagi stops panicking and points at herself. "What about me?"
"Transform and fight!" Luna orders.
Usagi sweatdrops. "I knew it."
~~~Selena's POV~~~
~~~Hours Later~~~
I look up to see that it is now dark outside. I let out a sigh and put down the book I have just finished. I have now read ten different books on Latin and Greek. I move off my bed and take the books back to my study. I place them on the shelves before walking back out and watch as the door vanishes from view after I close it.
I was about to get back on my bed when I sense that Usagi is panicking. Not to mention I can sense an evil aura not that far away. Usagi and the girls must be in trouble.
"Moon Crystal Power Makeup!" I call out softly.
I jump out of my window and rush over to where I can sense where Usagi and the others are. I get there in time to see Usagi transform. "Moon Crystal Power Makeup!" Usagi calls out.
"Wait just a minute!" Usagi shouts out.
"Sailor Moon! Sailor Celestia!" An yells angrily.
"I can't forgive anyone who ruins the date of a girl in love! You annoying pest! You're such a pest!" Usagi states annoyed.
"I never expected a lowly human would call me a pest!" An comments.
"What did you say?! In the name of the moon, Sailor Moon will…" Usagi is cut off when a blast of energy surrounds us, stopping us from seeing anything. "I can't see anything!"
I can't see anything either and I can't hear anything due to the sounds coming from the energy. "Come forth, Cardian! My loyal servant, Utonberino!" I hear Eiru shout before playing a tune on his flute.
"Utonberino!" The Cardian call out.
The energy surrounding us disappears. "What?!" Usagi exclaims surprised.
Utonberino attack where Usagi and I were standing, leading to it being destroyed. "You shall die, Sailor Moon! Sailor Celestia!" Both An and Eiru says, laughing.
Utonberino hovers in the air. "Utonberino!"
Finally, Ami-chan and Mako-chan appear on the scene. "Jupiter-chan!" Usagi cheers.
"Leave the rest to me!" Mako-chan says.
"Utonberino, get those sailor senshi!" Eiru orders.
She washes her hair before she glows red briefly. "Rino, rino, rino, rino!" She lifts her right arm which looks like a cannon. Seaweed string comes out of the cannon. It wraps around Usagi's and Ami-chan's waist but Mako-chan and I dodge out of the way.
"Supreme…" Mako-chan does get much further as she gets trapped like Usagi and Ami-chan. I dodge out of the way when one got close to me. I move closer to Mako-chan and try to remove the seaweed from her arms.
"Excellent job, Utonberino!" Eiru praises.
"Roll them into a ball while you're at it!" An orders.
"Rino!" She sends more seaweed strings at Usagi and Ami-chan that is wrapped around again and again until they were in a ball. "Rino, rino!"
"Sailor Moon!/ Sailor Mercury!" Mako-chan and I shout.
Usagi lets out a gasp of pain. "It hurts!" I hear Ami-chan agree.
"Rino, rino!" Utonberino throws the seaweed ball in the air that land on the top of the water from the water fountain. "It's fun! It's so funny!"
"If only I could move my arms." Mako-chan murmurs. I move behind her and try to remove them, but they are too tight.
A white rose is embedded in the floor. The seaweed string holding Mako-chan's arm snap. I lean down and pick up the white rose. I still have a lot of white roses from the bouquet he gave me and the red roses from when he had his memories as Tuxedo Mask.
Mako-chan and I look up to see that he is standing on a lamppost. "Moonlight Knight-sama!/ Moonlight Knight!" We exclaim at the same time.
"The moonlight still shines on those who wander after losing their love. Love that you give at the risk of your life. That is true love." He says, gazing into my eyes. "It is something that is filled with courage and shines brilliantly."
"Love and courage…I understand!" Mako-chan says. "I will lay my life down for my precious friends! My guardian, Jupiter! Brew a storm! Call the clouds! Send down the lightning! Supreme Thunder Dragon!"
Her lightning attack is in the shape of a dragon that swallows Utonberino. "Rino, rino, rino, rino!"
It doesn't destroy her, but it does injure her and send her falling to the ground from the air. "Rino!"
"How dare she?!" An seethes.
"Crescent Beam Shower!" Minako-chan sends it towards An, which she dodges due to Eiru pushing her out of the way.
"Fire Soul!" Rei sends it towards Usagi and Ami-chan, burning the seaweed string ball. "It's hot, hot, hot, hot, hot!" Usagi and Ami-chan cry out.
"We're burnt to a crisp." Ami-chan comments.
"Mars-chan, you're so rough!" Usagi says dryly.
"I just rescued you, so quit complaining!" Rei scolds.
Minako-chan is also looking at Usagi. "You have to call us when it's our turn!"
"Rino!" She begins lunging forward.
"Sailor Moon, Sailor Celestia, finish it now!" Mako-chan orders.
"Gotcha!" Usagi agrees as she stands up.
"Moon Princess Halation!" We both call out at the same time.
"Cleansing!" She is turned into a card that releases smoke and fades to black.
"Well done, sailor senshi!" Mamo-chan praises.
"Moonlight Knight-sama, who are you?!" Mako-chan asks.
"One day, you shall know who I am. Adieu." He jumps off the lamppost into the bushes.
"Oh, wait!" Mako-chan calls out.
"Jupiter…" Ami-chan says softly.
"He knows what love is all about. He's not Ginga-senpai." Mako-chan points out cheerfully.
Usagi pouts. "O-Of course he's not."
"He's just like my sempai who broke my heart, after all!" Mako-chan states causing all of us to fall to the ground. "Next time, I'll bring him my lunch filled with my love!"
I head back home followed by Usagi, sneaking back up into my room, changing into my pyjamas and falling asleep, not having any pain going through my body.
